Luckily, Creepy Hollow stays open a little after Halloween which worked out perfect for us! Creepy Hollow has been on my radar for awhile. I heard it was the scariest around so I had to check it out. I live in Pearland, so getting here was easy. I'm sure it's a drive for most people. We got there early so parking was a breeze, but they do have people directing traffic as it does get busy during the Halloween season. We came on a discount weekend so it was 5 dollars off the 40 dollar price rage. Kinda steep you say? I think it's fair since you get 3 attractions and entertainment all throughout the grounds. You can also pay extra for speed passes to skip lines. On top of that, you can also pay extra if you don't want the actors to touch you. Yes you read that right, they do touch. None of us paid for extras, and for the most part, the touching wasn't over the top. Some were a little much, but nothing inappropriate, just rough. The scare factor was definitely there in all the attractions. They did a great job with the set ups and themes of the different houses. I definitely had a few scream moments even though I was supposed to be protecting the gals. They also have shows, shops, entertainment and food throughout the property. Overall, my peeps and I had a blast and are planning on coming back next year for our spooky fix!

There was also a mini dance room as well and random characters throughout the park whose goal was to put you on edge or simply make you gawk! I did zero research into this and thought it would just be a simple haunted house. I was very wrong! I can see why they call it the scariest in Texas as I thought the main attractions were well thought out with props, sounds, smells and of course the wonderful actors! One person in my party got abducted at one point! That really freaked me out lol. I recommend going early because the lines can get long. We were there for about 2.5 hours. Needless to say, I'm deadly in the arena. Well, atleast I like to tell myself that. Laserzone in Sugarland is one of my favorite spots to pay laser tag now as an adult. It has been around forever and always a good time. The staff here is young kids so pack your patience as they get easily distracted, especially when their friends are there. My son grew up on this place. I still strap up and have no shame in sniping the youngsters in the arena. The arena has 4 levels is a whopping 13,000 square feet. It's a great way to get a good cardio workout in too. Pricing here is very fair and they have unlimited play options on certain days and times. They also have arcade games and a laser maze challenge. I skip that activity as my body isn't as limber as when I was younger. If you're looking for a fun, interactive and physical activity, I highly suggest trying out Laserzone.

It seems like there are only 2 young staff members working at a time unless it is a short window for a shift change. Lasertag Games are every 20 minutes so it may take 15 minutes for a staff member to come out to the front desk to check you in or start a laser maze game for you. They don't teach you anything unless you ask and even then they don't give you much. Parents not playing can go inside the first Lasertag room to help suit up kiddos. The maze lasts less than a minute for my little kids but is fun. There's a lot to learn on your own in the tag game- shoot certain targets in the maze, shoot opponents, team up/ strategize- 10 year old boy heaven. The multi level room allows for a lot of strategy. Some games are as individuals and some are as teams (not fairly divided. Maybe 4 against 12). There's a screen in the lobby that allows parents to see how their kids are advancing in % accuracy and overall points. A lot of parents play too. I was a little worried about a couple of 5 and 6 year olds but they had no problems. Bring quarters if you want to play a few arcade games or the little candy/toy vending machines. They sell little packaged snacks and drinks but no real food. Overall, kids loved it and we will be back when the kids need a prize or celebration for something.

You can get them…read moreonline but also get them at the door, but if they're busy, you'll need to wait, as you get an entrance time in 30 minute intervals on your tickets purchased ahead of time. They have special pricing for family tickets - minimum of 4 tickets - and those below the age of 3 are free. If you play Jurassic World Alive, there's a special incubator you can get there. This is set up OUTSIDE of Katy Mills Mall... on the parking lot, to be exact. It's fairly obvious and easy to get to. We went with our 2 young kids, ages 3 and almost 7. We watched Jurassic World 2 nights ago to be prepared and the experience largely follows that movie. You're one of the visitors to Isla Nublar and you get a VIP tour that also includes seeing the hatching room and petting baby dinosaurs - namely a parasaurolophus and ankylosaurus (Bumpy). You also see the raptor cage and even sneak past a T-Rex! No Pterosaurs though. We heard there's a chance of jump scares courtesy of Blue, BUT that didn't happen on our tour. I assume it's because our group had a lot of young kids. A bummer (we prepared our kids for any possible ones, but it didn't happen). There is a human in the Blue costume. I felt that part was fairly tame - the fog machine helped set the scene but it was still PG. Maybe even G. Overall, it was pretty fun! For about $20 per person including the discount, it wasn't bad because the animatronics were pretty impressive. Family friendly, though one kid (maybe aged 7-8?) was scared with the T-Rex. Videos and cameras are allowed, just no flash. You get many photo opportunities throughout, staff will help you with photos, and you have a chance to buy the ones you take at the beginning. They have a gift shop where most of the things are overpriced (shirts, plushies). I grabbed a magnet and some postcards. I was also tempted with the posters. The biggest thing is they clearly favor certain dinosaurs over others. My daughter's favorite is stygimoloch but other than him appearing in the tour, he had no merchandise. On the plus side, I didn't fork over $30 for a Stygi plushie or shirt. I also wish there was a jump scare to make it feel completely worth it, but it was still great fun - especially for dinosaur lovers! Got home a few hours later and my 3 year old kept on saying how the dinosaurs were fun. Expect to spend no more than an hour there though.

I was actually scared of them, and that fear became even more real after a horse fell while I was riding in Colombia. So the fact that I now look forward to getting on a horse says a lot about the environment that has been created here. I found A Place for Dreamers during an especially intense season of my life. I was recovering from a traumatic brain injury while also preparing for the bar exam, which meant spending countless hours studying, staring at a screen, and constantly feeling like my brain was "on." Coming out to the ranch became one of the few places where I could genuinely slow down. There is something incredibly calming about putting the books and phone away, getting outside, being around the animals, and focusing on something as simple as the trail in front of you. What started as me trying to become more comfortable around horses turned into something I genuinely looked forward to as a way to decompress and reset. Everyone has been patient, welcoming, and willing to let me build my confidence at my own pace. I never felt pressured to pretend I was more comfortable or experienced than I actually was. Whether you're already an experienced rider, completely new to horses, looking for something different to do around the Houston area, or simply need somewhere to disconnect from everyday life for a little while, I absolutely recommend A Place for Dreamers. The name really does fit.

Roland, our trail guide, was outstanding. He has a loving command of the horses as an experienced horse trainer, who is majoring in animal science. His relationship with the horses made us feel secure. He floated back and forth, chatting with each rider and ensuring that everyone was well. APFD, thank you so much for a great time of refreshing as we prepared to enter 2026. We would definitely recommend APFD to anyone who wants to take in the serenity of nature, disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the day, and needs a whoosah break. However, if you have a bigger group and kids who arent free, it is expensive. It might only take about an hour to walk through the lights. The displays are large and beautiful though, not just lawn ornaments. I was glad to have purchased these tickets through Groupon for $20/adult (vs $28). My 2 year old was free. I think it was worth the money since we only spent $40 on admission and our toddler LOVED the bounce house, but i wish we spent more time there. We were only there for 2.25 hours because she was getting out of control. If we were only adults, not sure if i would have gone tbh. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and spent the first hour of daylight in the ginormous bounce house. We had a blast! I recommend arriving early just for this so you can have the bounce house all to yourself. ($5 for 3yo+). Now here is why i took off 1 star. The workers were standing right next to my stroller smoking! I could literally smell it as I'm jumping before I even saw them smoking. My boyfriend had to tell them to please not smoke. They weren't even apologetic and seemed annoyed. I will also add that as we were walking to the back where the carnival area was, we passed by 2 workers who were smoking in 2 different areas. But it was the smoking right next to the bounce house that really irked us. When I got out of the bounce house (1 hour later), this other guy told me I had to pay $5 and that only my toddler was free. The previous 2 guys literally just gave me a wrist band and told me I was able to go in with my toddler. They accept cash only though, which I did not have, otherwise I would've paid. Food and games accept credit card. We spent $20 for this bean bag toss and won a small axolotl stuffed animal (pricey). Also spent $23 on a huge and delicious torta and hibiscus drink (both shareable). There are also some small souvenir/gift shops. Anyways, I didnt see any other rides although I thought there was supposed to be a carousel? I thought there was an option for $20 unlimited rides? My fault for not asking though. My toddler was stressing us out because she kept wanting to go to the bounce house, but we didn't have cash. I saw an ATM on the map, but we didnt have a debit card anyway. Parking was ample and free at least. Also, we were only able to watch a little bit of the acrobat show (the lion dance) because of our restless toddler, but I think that was definitely a perk.

Thanks for the cool AC and well-attended police officers keeping the place safe. This fairground is huge. I only saw a little part of it. Getting here is a little tricky, which is not my favorite when I leave. There are 2 entrances on Route TX-36. One closest to Southwest Freeway is probably the correct entrance, but not easy to make a left turn to get on the freeway. The oncoming traffic was driving at high speed. I usually use the 2nd entrance which is further away from the freeway. Except the right turn is extremely sharp. Definitely not recommended to be speeding. I think I will come to try the county fair or whenever they have free events.

Our son absolutely loves tractors and big construction equipment, so this place was a dream come true for him. There were plenty of hands-on activities, and he had the best time exploring everything. Even though it was a hot day, there was a good amount of shade throughout the park, along with lots of picnic tables where families could sit, relax, or enjoy a snack. There is also a nice playground, which gave our toddler another fun option when he wanted a break from the equipment. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and we especially appreciated that they had two family restrooms available. There is also a concession stand for snacks and drinks and a gift shop at the end, which was a nice touch before heading home. Overall, Dig World was a fun, unique, and well-thought-out experience for young children. Our 2-year-old had the best time, and we would definitely visit again!
