I went to Katy Main Event today and had an exceptional time due to Keyana's service. This was such a great experience and I will definitely recommend Katy Main Event to anyone wanting to get out of the house for a little fun. Todd, the manager stopped by to ensure we were being treated well. Excellent service!!! read more

Terrible service.... If I could give this a -5 stars I would.... If you like rude attitude and terrible customer service then go ahead and come to main event. I went for the Monday night deal and thinking the arcade would be open but it wasn't they told us there was a 3 hour wait for bowling so we got the arcade because they said there would be no wait then we get to the arcade to find out there was no games available cause everyone is using them then as soon as we get one your only aloud to play a certain amount of games which is 2 times only we went to the front desk to try to trade our card for the bowling so we could at least play laser tag and the manager was down right rude about it she said no since you already used it... I used it on two games to see if it worked but of course the rude sarcasm of her saying no . The dry erase board said under arcade there was 15 min of laser tag and 1 hour of bowling but we come to find out from a very rude customer service employee with sarcasm says what do you want me to do after a long argument I say give us what the board says but he refuses. So if you want to waste 11 dollars to do nothing at all. Then you will get guaranteed rude service false advertisement and scam artists. I honestly regret going here I would've wasted my money on the nastiest food in Katy then waste another penny at Main Event-Katy read more

If you have kids I expect this is about as good as you can get. If you don't have any kids avoid at all costs. Having a bar seemed to have mitigating potential but no. All screens set to the same local news show, who decided that? See a lot of waitstaff? Lot a good that does. Most of them are under 18 and can't serve alcohol. Those that can serve can't be bothered. Margaritas are pretty good and cheap which makes up for a lot. BBQ flatbread is made with BBQ syrup which kids may like also it has cilantro on it. My fault for not reading the menu more closely. Suggest you find a good excuse not to go. Lewis and Erica out smarted us and claimed car trouble. Two recent model BMW's? I don't think so. Again avoid if at all possible. Update: waited 16 minutes to pay tab with all servers avoiding the slightest glance. Went to the front desk and offered to pay my tab or walk it. Promised to come back for an answer while we played some games. Dropped by as promised and asked if I could pay. "I gave it to a manager..." was her answer. My response; "I gave you a chance but I'm done now". Even for free it wasn't worth it. read more

Main Event Katy - No sports here. - Arcades Near Me - Katy, Texas

I think this a pretty good place, adult version of chuck-e-cheese. My 4 yr old kid had fun here. That said the video games and everything else are crazy-expensive, usually $1.80 or more to play video games that are more like $0.30 at chuck-e-cheese. Probably won't come back but it's ok if you're ready to shell out some money and need a place with bowling, games, and everything else under one roof. read more

They have horrible management! I was having a great time with my daughter up until, I got approached by a staff member of accusing me of leaving with out paying, as I was putting on my shoes In the bowling area. The staff member's exact words were "I was told by a sever you're leaving with out paying." (With a slight attitude) And I proceeded to ask him and tell him, "do you see what I'm doing?" I'm putting on my shoes does it look like I'm near the door trying to leave ???" I have never felt so discriminated against or targeted because no one else around me got approached and asked to pay there tabs before getting to put on their shoes. I asked to speak to the manager and all he said was "I'll talk to him" !!! I made sure he knew I disagreed with his management style. There should be zero tolerance for profiling or discrimination against customers! I can understand this approach if I was actually heading out with my shoes on but I was still at MY BOOTH. I was so livid because my 9 yr old daughter was just as puzzled and uncomfortable as I was. To make matters worse I had to ask the person who approached me to leave, because he was just standing there in front of me waiting for me to pay! After I put my shoes on and gathered my things, I asked to speak to the manager but like I said he wasn't very helpful. I have never been in a place where they make you feel like you are trying to make it out of an establishment without paying. After just spending $100 in arcade games and activities and there so "called unlimited arcade card" is not really unlimited arcade because they have restrictions on some of the arcade games which was a bummer too!! I had to pay for the other games It was extremely out of line what this person did!! What surprised me the most was no one seemingly cared about the situation; the only person that seem to have a sense of urgency and common sense was my waitress.I feel so bad because I forgot to leave her a tip, because the only thing I wanted do was pay and leave. No one should ever go to a place and spend well over $100 In arcade games and activities and get this kind of treatment!! Oh and get this my tab at the bowling area was only $25.00 for a couple of drinks and appetizer. The only action taken was collecting $25.00 and the very uninterested manager saying "I'm sorry I'll talk to him." I loved this place so much; I was even planning my niece birthday here. After this huge H*** NO!! It's sad to see a place that you genuinely enjoyed ruined because of poor management, training,& bad business practices. read more

Payed for 1 hour of bowling, and around the 45 minute mark the lane stopped working. I let somebody know and then a maintenance man was fixing it, he was not successful and the lane stayed broken for 10 min. When I went to ask someone if we were going to switch, they were unaware of the faulty lane. I went to the manager to fix the setting on our lane, she was also unaware of the faulty lane. Food was good, the bowling we did was nice. Not impressed with the service or staff. read more

I wanted to bring my nephew, my brother in law (in town from TN) & granddaughter to do something fun since it's been raining here for 3 days - So, today was the 1st time I've gone here since it's opened... WOW! What a MISTAKE! I won't be back! First, we had to spend time putting away the 12-14 bowling balls that were on our ball return before picking out our own balls - After doing that & getting our shoes on, only one person bowled before the lane got stuck - After waiting 30 MINUTES, with NO help or resolution (even though there were other lanes open that they could've moved us to) we asked for a refund. Unfortunately we were assisted by an AGGRESSIVE Manager, who "Just got there" & treated US as IF we were the issue!!! Poor Customer Service & POOR MANAGEMENT AT BEST!!! read more

Do not go. If you do, you can expect rude management. Waiting for over an hour for a bowling lane that was not set up. Mechanical faults on the lanes. To be able to finish half of a bowling game before the time runs out. Having to set up the lane and fix mechanical issues also does not appear to extend your bowling reservation. Apparently they can also hold several empty lanes due to online reservations. My family will not be returning after spending approx $300 for a group of 15 people where only 6 were able to bowl (due to the reservation system) and those 6 were only able to complete 5 frames before our time ran out and apparently could not be extended. We are very unhappy with our latest experience and will not be returning. Note: the $300 spent did not include our food and drinks. That was just to bowl. read more

Excellent place for any event/birthday booking! The entire process was extra smooth and rewarding for my twins birthday. Our host Danya made us felt like VIPs. She was attentive, friendly and provided excellent customer service which in my opinion is very important for any event bookings. Everyone commented on how good the food was as compared to our other birthday bookings in the past. We received food from the ultimate game package as well as ordering from the regular menu. Clean, organized facility and arcade games were very updated and fun! Arcade games and fun play catered to all ages. Adults and children altogether had a great time! We will be returning. read more

CREDIT CARD FRAUD ( please read everything ) do not give them your credit cards, the kids working around the bowling lane are SWIPING and COPYING your credit cards we went on a saturday i got a notice from the bank that on monday my card was being used while i had my card, what a coincidence that one of my friends card was being used as well around another city, and since they travel out of town the they blocked the card from being used. Since then mainevent has fired and taken responsibility of what happened and helped us get through the problem properly after catching the people who did it. This is why I am raising my 1 Star to a 3 Star, becuase of the hassle I went through , still I am very happy that mainevent reached out to me and took care of the situation. read more

I like how they have a little bit of everything in activities but there's a lot of things I do not like about them. 1.) Pricey 2.) You have to pay separately for lazer tag and you can only go one time. 3.) Arcade it pricey, you have to put "tokens" on a card but the minimum is $25.00 nothing less, Not many people have that much extra money with them if they are bowling and doing lazer tag. 4.) The obstacle course is OK but it needs something. But its good safety reasons. Out of my whole experience I definitely say that I've been to way better places and I don't really recommend this place, its a bit of a waste of money.. read more

Place isn't bad, good for kids but some of the games took my money and I had to keep swiping my card. So I know I wasted some money on a couple of games. Other than that it's a good place for kids. read more

The managers here are rude as hell, and hardly helpful everyone on the staff looks and acts miserable. I was with a group of friends bowling and and we decided to order some wings on the tablet I had a question about one of the wing options so I went up to the waitress and said "excuse me" (loud enough to hear) at the same time the manager approached her from the other end and started talking to her they both clearly saw me standing there and didn't even acknowledge me clearly trying to ask a question but kept talking amongst eachother, I guess whatever they were talking about was much more important than customer service. Anyway after standing there looking like an idiot with a tablet in my hand watching them talk for about 2 minutes, the the manager was done talking to the waitress and as he started to walk away he pointed at me (in a take care of him sort of way) so the waitress finally turned around and acknowledged me so I popped the question about the wings. She quickly answered and let me know that the kitchen closes in 10 minutes and I'm I'm going to order I should "hurry up" anyway I ordered the wings (which were decent by the way) we kept having to ask for refills on our waters throughout the entire hour and a half we were there (literally no service unless we asked for it) and when she would bring us the waters, she would leave the old cups on the table. Anyway maybe 20 minutes later she came up to the table and got on our tablet and pressed "pay now" and asked "who is paying" as if it's any of her business. after I said I was she said "cash or credit?" I told her credit. And she got it all set up for me as if I don't know how to use a tablet it's 2019 and I'm 23 years old. tablets are in everything from airports to restaurants (I think I can figure it out) paying was about the only thing she was helpful with. My friends and I were planing on playing for about another 30 minutes which I figured I would pay at the end before we leave like you do most places. Then on top of all that we went to the arcade for the last 30 minutes before they closed and we were playing the games and with out any warning at all all the power went out to all the games while we were in the middle of one (I was at the goodwill next door right before I came to the main event and they gave a 15 minute warning and a 5 minute warning before they closed) So whatever time to go I get it, but the cherry on top is just the fact that not a single employee told us to have a good night or any sort of thanks for coming type thing or anything instead they just all looked miserable and looked like they hated us for being there (and no we weren't the only customers still in there) read more

I came here for a friend's daughter's birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. PROS- We found parking! (always a plus for this inner looper!) They have a bar- and TVs- perfect since the NFL playoffs were on that day You can walk around the place with your alcohol CONS- READ IF YOU'RE HAVING A PARTY HERE!!! When we arrived the bowling lanes for our party were not ready so we were waiting near the bowling lanes. As guests arrived we all had our gifts and placed them on a counter where we were waiting. When our lanes opened up the staff told us where to go and said they'd take care of moving all the gifts. Fast forward to after the bowling, after the kids ate, and everyone is now running around playing games, etc. All of the gifts were on a cart and the adults attending the party without kids were left to keep an eye on the cart of gifts so the adults with kids could chase them around....so I start looking for the gift I brought on the cart and it is nowhere to be found. I ask if they took some to the car already- no. I find a staff member and tell them my gift is missing from the cart. She takes me to the counter where all the cakes and stuff are and opens a cabinet underneath and it's FULL OF RANDOM PRESENTS. Mine isn't there. She opens another cabinet, it is also FULL of presents and luckily mine was in there. I grab it and put it on our cart. This really bothered me. What if I didn't notice my gift wasn't on the cart? My friend wouldn't have known it was missing...would have gotten home and thought I neglected to give her daughter a gift. WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL OF THOSE RANDOM PRESENTS IN THE CABINETS???????? I spread word through our party to make sure their gifts were on the cart for the birthday girl to take home and OMG someone else's gift was missing from the cart and was found in one of those cabinets. BOTTOM LINE: If you ever have a birthday party make sure you get all of the gifts that your guests bring! I guess this place would be cool to take the kids to run around while you get drunk at the bar (jokes from the adult without kids!) but beware for birthday parties! read more

We came to Main Event in Katy and I was super happy with the service. When we arrived we were assisted quickly by Todd. He was super helpful with our food order and drink order. My cousins and I went to Main Event (total of 11 people) a couple of weeks ago. We arrived at approximately 3:30 PM and were told that we had to purchase the afternoon rate FUNpass and then purchase the more expensive 5 PM - Close rate if we were still there past 5 PM. We asked the staff and management if we could just purchase the passes for 5 PM - Close and stay a little past 5 PM. They were very inflexible and the management did not make any effort to accommodate us. We were willing to pay the more expensive rate to begin with, but it made absolutely no sense to pay for one pass for about an hour and a half and then have to purchase a whole other pass afterwards for another hour. We ended up leaving after the management refused to work with us. This was my first time spending time with my family since returning from a deployment to Afghanistan this year and I have to say that I am very frustrated that the staff and management were so inflexible. *Update: I was told to email the district manager about this issue. He did not bother responding. read more

We recently had our two sons' joint birthday party at a Main Event. It was quite expensive for only two hours. I was to have two party coordinators to assist with the party. As guests were arriving they were being directed to the wrong location delaying the party commencing. As some of the children finally made their way to the correct party room, the party coordinators were supposed to be serving pizza. Several plates came and random children were served. One of the birthday boys received pizza while the other did not for quite some time. I eventually went to the pizza area to find out what the hold up was and found about 8-10 party coordinators just standing at the counter chatting while plates of pizza were growing cold. I was quite irritated at this point as half the party kids AND a birthday boy still had no pizza. Eventually the children were all served and we were immediately rushed to do cake as our hour in the party room was nearly over. We sang happy birthday and the party coordinators insisted on serving cake at the bowling area so they could clean the room for the next party. We then moved to the bowling area where one party coordinator VERY SLOWLY entered children's names into the computer. I asked where the other party coordinator was, as they were AGAIN burning our very limited time to bowl...AND eat cake. I was told she was cleaning the party room and that I would have the wait. The bowling area had not been bused or wiped down at all. The tables were filthy and large plates of food were stacked up. My sister started busing plates and cups and when she tried to give it to an employee, the girl directed my sister WHERE to put the dirty dishes rather than taking them from her. The names were finally entered into the machine and the kids started bowling...with about 30 minutes left after getting their bowling shoes and having their names entered. At this point cake was finally served...to all the children. All of the parents sitting on the side were not offered any cake, and neither was I or my younger children who were also in attendance. I had to ask for a piece of cake and had to tell the party coordinators to offer cake to the parents. We then were given the game cards to go play in the arcade and while I was told over the phone that the birthday kids would have a bit more on their games cards, in person of course that was a whole different story. A four hundred dollar party that was supposed to be less stressful than hosting it at home (I have a newborn)...was a bitter disappointment. We will not be back. read more

This place has terrible service. They are understaffed and only have teenagers working here who have no sense of customer service. Their leagues, if you can call it that, are a complete joke. Several games were broken tonight and finding assistance with then was difficult. We then tried to buy something with our points from the glass case and they needed a managers keys... We waited 20 minutes for a manager only to find out the guy we were waiting for couldn't open the case for us. Eventually a manager who could open the case showed up and we checked out and left. The employees we encountered were polite but waiting as long as we did with the staff apparently unaware of who was coming to help and if they could help was irritating. read more
