I went to Main Event today (Sunday) for a birthday party and it was amazing. The place was so clean and well run and all of the staff was so very helpful and friendly! We all had fun bowling and then went to the party room for pizza and cake. The pizza was hot and delicious and the girl in charge of the party was doing a great job at helping serve the kids and keeping the drinks refilled. After the party room, we went out to the arcade for some games. The games were a little more expensive than most arcades (about 1.50-5.00 per game). A couple games weren't working properly, but attendants were right there to help. There was one game that they weren't able to fix, so they gave my daughter back $4.00 credit on her game card (the game only cost 1.75). The laser tag and ropes course looked super fun and we will definitely be trying those out next time! Thanks Main Event staff!! read more

I was reluctant after looking at reviews being I wanted to take the family bowling and the reviews did not really touch on the bowling as much as parties. I wanted to reserve a lane at 7:15 on a Saturday evening. I used the online reservation system. First off It seemed easy to use until it reserved four pairs of shoes for the 4 registered players, problem is 3 of us already own shoes and the system would not let me take the shoes off the reservation. Another issue was the site wanted me to pay via credit card in advance, I planned on paying cash when I arrived. Still.....the shoes still had not been removed from my bill. Two hours of bowling and 4 pairs of shoes....96.43!!! No don't think so! So I called, the girl on the phone was not helpful at all! She informed me that there is no way to access the site to change the removal of the shoe charges. As well there is no way to reserve a lane unless you reserve it on line and pay via credit card! I wanted to pay cash, it is truly sad how many people refuse to use cash!!! So that being said......never went, never bowled, never will ever consider go there for any reason ever! read more

I'm already over this place. Customer service is horrible. Bar isn't open during advertised happy hour times. Bowling ball returns are broken, and you have to deal with rude teenagers running the place. We had to wait ten minutes for a teenager to finish flirting with a girl to do the ropes course. Can't wait to find out what goes wrong when we try to do the laser tag! I could literally care less if we ever came back here. Sticking to Times Square, etc. for now. read more

Great place for the family! Tons of fun, food was great, drinks for adults, and kids have a blast. From bowling, lazer tag, arcades, did Imention lazer tag? lol Not to pricey either. Fun for a weekend if you want to get away from the typical day or same activities. read more

This place is ok but the Bacon burger tasted like plastic. We bought the fun pass and waited over 2.5 hours to bowl and 1 hour to laser tag and then had to wait another hour for the rope course. Got a pager for pool and never went off. Came from Dallas to visit family and we pretty much sat down and talked (could have done that at home for free). Definitely not returning here next time we visit. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 star is our lane waiter was awesome and helpful. read more

I'm struggling to give a 4 star review. Ample parking and easy to locate from the 10 freeway! I came on a Saturday evening. All the bowling lanes, pool tables and bar were full. Great social spots for parties, friends and couples. I didn't make it past the bar as I only came for drinks. The 4 star is because the waiters struggle to serve big crowed as and the drinks are very sweet. Too much mixer. I tired the mango Long Island and the Jack Daniels honey drink. The bar area has nice size tabs for watching the game and a vast variety of liquor choices. I'll be back to try them out during the week. read more

We had a great experience here today - we didn't plan on visiting but I needed a place to meet with family to celebrate my son's 9th birthday. Our waiter Steven was great and the whole staff dropped by often to check on us. The manager Todd was very helpful! Great experience overall. read more

OK so I have to be honest, I don't really like this place that much but I have visited them several time. Let's start with the service or lack there of. It is pretty bad. For the exception of a few select in the staff the service is pretty bad quality. Now I do not hold it against them. They place gets super packed and I would honestly hate it if I worked at a place like this myself so I understand. Putting that aside, the wait for any of the activities on a popular night is ridiculously long. So why do I still visit them? Overall, they still offer a pretty diverse set of activities and its pretty kid friendly as well. The gravity ropes are pretty cool as well as their laser tag. If you have teenage brothers and sisters like I do that have a lot of energy to burn, then this is the place to go for sure. Just don't expect fast or great service and be prepared to wait in between activities. Also expect a large crowd. If you can overlook all of these things then you you will still have fun. Regardless of all the downfalls we still have fun each time we visit so I still recommend them. read more

What a horrible costumer services the guy at the bar was asking for 2 forms of IDs , i asked him to get his manager Aubrey where he came in with an attitude saying that MAIN EVENT requires 2 forms of ID which is bullshit - honestly they just lost a good costumer for being an asshoe to a good costumer , never coming back here again.... BAD COSTUMER SERVICES. read more

Atmosphere is great, even while busy the staff is very attentive and we didn't feel neglected at all. Everyone is friendly and food was great and hot. Kat are server was amazing and Todd the manager was friendly and made sure we had a great experience. We will be coming back read more

This is a fun place to take the kids or come with friends. We enjoyed bowling and the arcade area. I did not try the food, but saw someone eating pizza and it looked great. They also have a large bar area. read more

What a joke... And even worse, waste of time. I feel that based on the advertising & website's "lack of info", it's borderline "bait and switch" tactics. 2 hours unlimited play on video games is only on Mondays, but the website doesn't tell you that. A fun pass allows u to play all the games but they don't tell you that you need to pay $4 to rent shoes for bowling. They don't tell you that kids under 48" tall cannot play anything but bowling...except video games, but we'll get to that in a second. The video games are ridiculously priced, to the point that it's comical. Hahaha, I couldn't believe it...Temple Run= $1.00 Bejeweled=$1.60, basketball hoops=$1.60. These are the same old games in chunky cheese that costs a quarter. Lastly, the process sucks. To play the laser tag or balance beam you have to sign up at a certain counter. Problem is, they don't tell you that until after you wait in line and then the attendant will let you know. What's worse is that there are no signs indicating which counter to go to. It's pretty sad when the can't even post signs explaining the process or where things are located. It's like you have to ask an employee how things work rather than a clearly and fully disclosed, user friendly system. The guy assigning shoes for the balance beam gravity thing asked my kids what shoe size they wore and made them get out of line to come ask me this meant they had to go to the back of the long line when they returned. He could have easily told them to take their shoe off and look at the tag, how pathetic. This place invested a lot in the facility and technology, but it lacks in processes and full disclosures. I came for my birthday and invited about 30 people. We were ready to spend some money too! I arrived first and found out how much of a rip off it was and promptly emailed all the folks and cancelled my birthday get together. The main event lost a lot of revenue on this one. For the cost that this place will gouge you for, you could easily go to a Texans game for the same price, or a concert, or a water park, or a beach trip... FYI: each kid could easily spend $100 I'm willing to spend money on a good value. But when it feels like someone is taking advantage of you...gotta draw the line Let's put it in perspective...to take the family here for the day in terms of cost...you could buy an XBox And play it an unlimited amount of times All The NEGATIVE REVIEWS are pretty much accurate. read more

Had an awesome time with our family at Main Event! Todd and Melanie were great and the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back with my family, our daughters had fun and so did my husband and I. read more

Had such a wonderful experience with Main Event. My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in one of their guest rooms. It was an absolute joy to have a fun party while being able to not worry about being loud. We had the tailgate buffet and it was for the most part delicious however the buns felt a little stiff, the hamburgers were undercooked and in the buffet description it said we would have bratwurst but I never realized until the event was over, that there was none. That was disappointing. The waiter assigned to our room was awesome! Keep everyone in drinks and even helped us set up. Even though I wanted almost complete control over everything. I hate to delegate. Lastly I was somewhat disappointed in the sound system. We did finally have to give up the mic because there was way to much feed back. But over all it was a night I will never forget. read more

Main Event is a cool chill spot. It's a bowling ally.* It's a pool hall.* There's arcade games. It has gravity ropes/ course.* You can play laser tag.* & on Mondays, you can do most* for 10$. read more

Night out well worth it! Great food, outstanding service from Todd and lots of fun. I highly recommend this location for a family night out.

Took my little cousins here while I was in town. I really enjoyed this location, I'm from Austin and it was nice that this place had a few different things. It was really clean and nice as well. We got the unlimited pass and it was well worth the money. We bowled first, the bowling lanes were well kept and they had a bunch of balls to choose from and they were all nice and new as well. We ordered some food while on the lanes. The nachos and the kids meals were good for being an event center. We played in the arcade and they had a ton of game options to choose from as well. It's different now a days because there is no actual ticket so you get the instant satisfaction. It's all using cards now. My favorite thing there was the tight ropes. It was super fun, and a little tricky but well worth it. I wish there was more of these around. We also did the laser tag, but some of the equipment wasn't well maintained so we had some issues with out game. I would definitely come back and take my little cousins back as well. read more

We got here around 9 pm, they were busy and we had a group of 14. We strictly came to bowl and the wait was an hour and a half (no problem there's plenty to do) once we got to the table to bowl there was a few of us that ordered WATER (6 glasses total) never got it and never got asked about it. Then we decided we would try to order food.... BIG MISTAKE! Food took over and hour to get out and some of our group didn't even get their food until they asked 3 people and it was finally comped via the manager I believe. Over all the experience sucked and as a group and individuals we will not be returning to this location! read more

I've been here a couple times now and will say the only time it was worth it was for $9.95 bowling/laser tag on Monday night. I REALLY don't like the set up they have for bowling. It's too crunched together. I basically had to squeeze by the people playing on the lane next to us every time I wanted to walk by. The middle walkway between lanes is too narrow. It was annoying. The laser tag was fun. The room kind of smelled musty though. Could maybe use a good deep carpet shampoo and disinfectant. Their game selection is good. I like Dave and Buster's better. I also don't like the whole electronic ticket thing. I think it takes some fun out of the experience when you don't get to collect your paper tickets after a game. That's just how I feel about it. read more

Don't bother spending your money on their "Fun Pass" if you really just want to bowl. After 2 and a half hours of waiting we finally got a lane thinking it was all you can play as that's what was told to us. Come to find out you can only play for one hour then your game would be over and you would have to sign back up to get on a list. Rating it 2 stars because we were at least able play pool and the waiter was decent, otherwise I would give it one star. Sucks because we were exciting to come here and play, yet left highly disappointed read more

Great social distancing! Great service! Great staff! TODD IS FUNNY! Keyanna is a excellent service!

Horrible management, Ferris, is terrible! Will not be back! Parents tried to rent the room for laser tag just for our kids in the party because not all of the kids are 48" (not an issue with other venues). Our kids are in the same age and same grade and manager said no. We spent a lot of money in this place but will never drop a dime here again. read more

Will NOT be back to this location. This is the second time we have come after the first time having a bad experience we decided to try one more time. The first time we came here we had problems with the machine you use to charge your play card. The machine froze in the middle of the transaction. We chose the $100 game play package and it had already charged to my account pending on my credit card. But the card to play video games with said $0. The person helping us said I would not be charged the $100 and they would give me the $100 to play with. Well I checked my account days later and In fact I was charged. No big deal but if you tell me one thing and it does another yes I will be disappointed. Another problem was from that night the games did not calculate any points to the card after. The person helping us said they would contact me to fix this and I was never contacted! Our second experience was more pleasant as the machine to recharge your card was working. Come to find out all our point again did not show up to the card! So we have lost around 5,000 points at this main event. Adding the wizard of oz sets to our card each time and did not receive any points for them. We will continue to go to the Main Event In Humble it is a lot better! read more

The place is fun but, the staff is terrible! especially the manager, to be honest, i dont know if shes the manager but she is rude and extremely ugly towards staff especially custodial staff, she is racist! i heard her tell colleagues that the custodians need to go back to their country and learn better english, this happened today after she unnecessarily was being rude to custodial staff in the first place, telling them to do work they weren't even assigned to do in the first place. read more

I've read a lot of negative reviews for this location, but we might've gotten the A-team crew when we visited today. Service was very responsive all around - the front-desk, the waitress taking care of us at the bowling alley, the Winner's Circle cashiers to the young men working the arcade; the young men were a little moody, but I would be too if I had to deal with energetic kids all day. One of the kids with me actually dropped his Funcard inside the bowling couch. It took four different tries from an employee and a manager to remove the couch cushion and find it. I took off one star because we had so many problems with the arcade games. Two of the air hockey tables were broken, and our kids swiped their cards a few times elsewhere (and were charged for it) without getting to play their game. I got tired of calling the arcade guys to help repeatedly, so I let it go. read more
