The fun pass for the day is a rip off really! They say unlimited bowling, pool, and laser tag, but you are limited to one hour of bowling and then you have to get up and wait an hour for a lane again. And you can only basically play one game in an hour. You have to wait 30 minutes for laser tag to start over, which only lasts 10 minutes. And the wait for pool tables is hours because there is no limit on how long you can play. So we are sitting here waiting again to bowl, and it's been an hour and a half this time. Getting drink refills takes an act of Congress. The food was awful as well. The chips for our nachos were cold and soaked in grease, and the queso dip was cold too. We asked a manager to replace the chips and queso and he brought us a plate of cold dry chips I guess because we complained about all the grease! They expect you to spend more money in the arcade while you wait and to carry your glass with you from place to place if you want a free refill because otherwise you have to pay for another soda later. I'm not sure how we were supposed to carry them with us to play laser tag. Let's just say we've spent over $250 and have played two games of bowling and two games of laser tag and had two appetizers to share between 5 of us and 5 sodas. And we've been here now for almost five hours. We've spent more time sitting and waiting than anything! Don't fall for the fun pass! Actually do yourself a favor and don't bother coming here if you want good service, edible food, and fun! read more

The location is clean, however service was awful. Also several of the gaming machines, as well as the table entree order pads were simply not working and getting help took way more energy than it should have. I won't be back to this location. read more

Great place to take the family for food, fun, and entertainment

I just went today for the first time. Let me just say that I am absolutely not a fan of Main Event. The bar smelled like somebody had vomited all over it, and none of the staff had seemed to noticed or even care. Not to mention the bartenders didn't know how to make a cocktail to save their lives. The staff was extremely rude. We waited over an hour for a bowling lane, which was fine. However, once we had the lane we had to wait over half an hour for somebody to come take our order, and that was only after we actively had to get a staff member's attention. After gaining their attention, we received nothing but snide remarks and glares. Once we were able to order food and have it delivered to our lane, it was mediocre at best. A friend of mine had ordered the wings, and they showed up cold and bland. All in all, I will not be returning to this mismanaged excuse of a business. read more

My daughter now has athlete feet because of this place. She does not do anything else to cause this she is a home body. The first time she wears another person shoes is at this place. I wanted to give her a different experience and so we went bowling (first time). I paid 15.95 for her to get athlete feet. I contracted the company and the honestly they do not care. On another note, they did offer us a free trip back to the Main Event, I declined. What do they think I will let her get it again. If you want any fungus growing on yours or your loved ones feet this is the place. If not I would honestly stay away and pay money else where. read more

Husband and I came in with some family and friends and the staff was incredibly rude. Every time we asked anyone, ANYTHING, it seemed like a problem or like we were inconveniencing them. Our kiddos had fun, which is about the only upside. Definitely won't be back though. read more

Love this place too death! I could live here ( If I didn't only have too eat the pizza and fries) I love the food, and the arcade is awesome ( TRY THE MAX FLIGHT!) but my favorite part is laser tag! Ignore the smell that the fog machine gives off and your good to go! read more

Took my family, Aunt and Uncle here on Saturday for a round of bowling and appetizers. When checking in I informed the lady at the desk we wanted to bowl one game. She said to rent the lane for an hour we could add time if we ran out. Well, 6 people bowling our hour ran out in the 8th frame. I went to add more time and the girl at the register told me we couldn't finish our game because then they were on a wait list (same girl who one hour earlier said it would be no problem). The guy passing out shoes then rudely decided he should chip in with, "Well that's just the way things work." I asked to speak to a manager, and the shoe boy said it wouldn't do any good. I waited for the manager and he said if we wanted a full game we should have purchased more time i.e. 2 hours. But, wouldn't say our time would be refunded if we didn't use all of it. Finally a second manager walked up and said he'd let us finish after all 6 of my group had returned their shoes and were waiting by the door. Terrible experience good thing we weren't celebrating Christmas a weekend early together, oh wait...... Stay away from this place. read more

the service is pretty terrible if you order in a small group. if you throw a party there- they end up charging the host of the party and any guest that has an open tab. the wait for a bowling lane was pretty ridiculous as well when there were available lanes. the wait we were quoted was 45 minutes and 30 minutes into the wait- the free lanes were still open and after we finished bowling the same lanes were still open. read more

We came here for my husband's birthday on April 28th, and I really wish we had walked back out as soon as we walked in. When we opened the door we were hit with the smell of sewage. We walked up to the front desk and our first question was "What is that smell?" The girl who was working the front desk told us, "We don't know, it's been like this for two days." This is my first issue with this location. Before we came to Main Event we called to make sure there were shoe sizes for our 2 year old daughter. I think it should have been mentioned to us that the whole place smelled like an open sewer, but it was not. We then asked the girl at the front desk, "Well does it smell by the bowling area, or is it just in the front?" She then proceeded to tell us, "I don't notice it by the bowling," which should have been my second cue to leave, because obviously after being incased in the smell for 2 days her nose had unfortunately grown accustomed to it. So ee paid our money to bowl and went on our way. It did indeed still smell like sewage over by the bowling area, but we decided to suck it up since we paid already. Fun place, expensive, but fun. Sarah who was working our party a few months back was very nice and made our sons birthday very enjoyable.

I am going to preface this with the fact that I am not from Texas, and so I do not know if I went to Main Event in Grapevine or Lewisville; though I believe it was Grapevine. Both have Tilted Kilt Restaurants on the same street, so that doesn't help either... I went to Texas with the intention of taking my friend's son to Chuck E Cheese. After much debate, it was decided we would go to Main Event. They had a large assortment of games, and it seemed to have much better games than what I can remember Chuck E Cheese having. Plus the games were better for a child over 4 as many of the games/rides at Chuck E Cheese can be quite silly. There was a wide array of games from normal skeeball and video games to Guitar Hero, riding games, shooting games, and even the one where you hit the thing to see how strong you are. There was a great alien one next to skeeball. The alien was totally egging us on. It was hilarious. There was laser tag, bowling, and pool as well, which was cool. We didn't have enough time to bowl, and we weren't going to take the seven-year-old in the bar to play pool (not that we had time), but I thought it was really cool that they were there and available. I also thought it was nice that there were more than two pool tables, which are often full and unavailable where I usually go. It is definitely a place that adults can enjoy as much as kids, and with a full bar, complete with TVs, which were all playing soccer, which really excited my friend, adults will be happy. The prices were reasonable (though the bowling may have been kind of expensive, but I didn't look into it that much). I didn't get food, but I ordered a soda, and the medium had free refills, though I could carry it around. I love that! They also had Diet Dr. Pepper. Double score! The prizes are way better than when I was a kid, and the points added up pretty fast, so that was good. Overall we had fun, and the boy I took was happy we went there instead of Chuck E Cheese; especially after he got seventh place in laser tag. read more

This is the first time ive had a birthday party and it was HORRIBLE.I regret choosing this location.My "host" Joselyn didn't seem to like her job.I had to keep asking her to attend my guest.She didnt seem like she knew what she was doing since i had to remind her twice about the cards i had gotten with my sons bday package.He was excited for the scavenger hunt and asked her to do the dance off but she just put the sticker.Obviously she didnt want to do it.I had to ask her for the prize card which she still didnt give me so i had to tell the manager. She also brought me the bill literally an hour into our party yet i was told we pay the remainder after the party is over, seemed like she wanted us to leave.Overall the service was really bad and to top it off they boxed my sons left over pizza and cake which was more than a full pizza and more than half my cake to only find out that they threw it away. So upset because all i got was an "we can give you a coupon for a free pizza next time" ...There will not be a next time after this bs!! I was in the area for work staying at the hotel next door. I was bored since I'm by myself for the week so I came for some video games. I came in the doors impressed with the space. Took some pictures of the place to send to my wife and in minutes a manager tells me that I can't take pictures and has this angry look on his face like he's about to kick me out. Then he asks what I do for a living and I told him. He told me like 3 times not to take pictures in that conversation like I'm a dumb ass. I even though I apologized and let him know I wasn't trying to disrespect. Dude made me feel uncomfortable. He was saying that if I wanted to show my wife what it looked like to send her to the website. What a complete douche bag! I smiled it off and was ready to walk out. I saw a deal that allows unlimited play for $10 on the arcade games. I decided to play and had some fun after all. The games were not all that. I wish they had street fighter lol. The machines would allow for three consecutive plays then I had to move to another. Yeah if I didn't get the weird vibe from the manager who was sizing me up id rate it different. read more

Visiting from LA and made it here yesterday for a great time! Called and spoke to Josh (Mgr?) who was super friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. I wanted to take my niece and nephew to a fun place last minute and this definitely was worth it - while at $100 total for all four of us for a few hours of fun, a good time! They only fell short on the food service, had to go find a server and ask her a few times to bring the same thing. But all good! read more

Only have been to one other Main Event once...once again I know why I like Dave and Busters better. At least 4 games did not work at all but used $5 of our money...didn't even get to play. The games are very run down and some as old as 20 years, the ones that did work did not give out the right amount of tickets for the game or even any tickets at all. Almost all games were $1-$2 for 1 play...Dave and busters gives you 2 or 3 plays for the same 1 credit. Will not be returning to any Main Event ever again, and unfortunately will steer away anyone else. They make it seem very nice and up scale but in the inside it is far from that. read more

This place is great. The prices are reasonable and there are a variety of fun things to do.

Celebrated our son's birthday there and he had a blast. Good service and attentive staff. This place is good for get-togethers.

We went on Saturday night. It was very crowded and that was OK and understandable. Once we found a table, that was dirty for at least 30 minutes prior to us sitting down. Once we tracked someone down to clean the table, we waited another 15 minutes before deciding that we had to approach someone to take our order. A few staff members, two seemed to be a part of management, passed by us several times and never acknowledged us even after we spoke up to get their attention. We had to run behind a manager to ask for service She informed us that she would send someone, but after 15 minutes, we had to find her again. She finally took our order. We ordered a 16 inch pizza, two orders of bone-in buffalo wings, three orders of fries, a chicken strip kids meal, and three soft drinks. The drinks came after 15 minutes in to-go cups with no lids. The fries came 5 minutes later. The pizza and one order of boneless wings with no sauce came 10 minutes later. I questioned the wings and was told "oh yeah, we only had boneless wings." I had to ask for sauce. Another 15 minutes passed before the other order of "boneless wings" came out. We were never approached to see if we were fine with everything. Anytime we saw a staff member and tied to get their attention, they actually looked away. We were sitting close to some individuals that received a great deal of attention from the staff, but when it came to us, not at all. I am a bowler and could care less about the rest of the place. so they have no interest in creating a bowling experience. the lanes are not oiled properly and are for straight bowlers only. if u bring ur own ball be prepared to suck. the ball just flys off the lane. seems ass if they dont oil them at all. so expensive too. Such a terrible experience. I Had a party for 14 preteens for my daughters birthday. We were greeted by a crabby blonde manager who acted like I was wasting her time with any of my questions. We then all moved to the table to eat. Ordering went fine but then I quickly noticed after the food arrived the children had no napkins, utensils etc.. ( which we never received) this is a basic. At least get this right. Our poor waitress had us and everyone other table on the floor. You think with a party coming in you would at least have another server. I purchased a bowling pin with balloons that all guess could sign. This finally arrived on the table by the oh so friendly manager. I moved the pin down to one end so the guest could start signing and the balloons flew up because obviously they didn't have them tied on well. I told the oh so friendly manager and she just looked up at the balloons. Now it's cake time after running around trying to get plates and forks ourself to serve the cake it was time to bowl. We had a just a great time trying to get all the bowling shoes for the children....The people behind the shoe counter just love their job.... NOT! Again very rude. We asked for the bumpers to be put up in all three lanes. We got two out of the three up. :( the kids were thirsty so told them to get their drinks and guess what??? Yep, all drinks thrown out. By this time I had it.... I decided to let a different manager know. He at least acted like he cared and took a whole. $1.63 off each child's $25.00 admission. Then brought us new drinks. He even brought new balloons. I started to relax a bit... Then this happens as my daughter was opening her presents another employee asked us to move from the bowling area that had plenty of space for all of us to be in the area plus another 200 more people. (not by the lanes, just the sitting area) . I was so annoyed! Guess who decided to come give her last rude comments? Yes, the rude blonde manager (I wish I knew her name). She went on and on about what I should of known about the party I booked. Really??? When she was done with her lecture she was blaming our poor waitress about all of the poor service. It was not all the waitresses fault in my eyes. The poor woman was running around like crazy with no help!!! Now it's time to play laser tag which should of been the highlight of the party. Once again nope. I was told we would have a schedule time to play. Which we did.. with another party of 17 or so that we're late teens!!!! I was expecting my party to have their own game for the price. The game was a whole 15 minutes if that. With my party being beat the crap out of literally from the other party.
