Worst experience ever!! I've been to this place several times and the service is usually good. Recently one nail tech made my nails so chunky and horrible. The second time i went to go get a soak off and the nail tech mimi decides to use a cuticle cutter ok no biggje but then she wanted to use nail tips to lift the acrylic, are you kidding me?? She kept hurting my nails and was very painful She didn't even apologize she told me " its quicker this way" so you would rather me be in pain so you can rush and be done? Woow. Never let them do that to you, they're Supposed to use acetone to remove. I will never go back there ever again. read more

Went there today. Didn't get the length I asked for, my fingers are all cut up from the drill and file. The lady is very rough she tells you to relax your hand when your tense because she's cut your fingers up and is repeatedly filing and drilling the cuts and then has the nerve to laugh about it. read more

Horrible! Left with Shellac peeling off of nails. Also did not know what she was doing. She removed the shellac 2 times and repolished, I then asked her to just put clear nail polish and she refused to listen to me. Still made me pay. She told me to come back tomorrow so she could fix my nails as if I wasn't there for an hour and a half and that my time didn't matter. To make things worse she was whispering and winking her eye at me while telling me to come back tomorrow because she didn't want me to make a scene. read more

Making an appointment is pointless, you'll still have to wait 30+ minutes. The staff is very nice and helpful but they are ALWAYS busy (which is good for them). If you don't have time to wait, it's very inconvenient. They do a good job though. read more

I come every two weeks and see Kim for my fill. She really takes her time. I gave up on gel nails at other salons because I kept getting that water mold under them from lifting. I've never gotten that since I started coming to Maila (specifically with Kim). The price is right too! read more

I went and had a mani/pedi today, the woman who wore a red gap shirt was sick, she was coughing and not covering her mouth to the point I could feel her breath on my legs so gross, then a man who worked there was talking and talking and talking to the girl doing my nails, she got distracted, she also made at least 5 phone calls while she was doing my pedi. I've been a customer for several years. While I think the service is good, I am repeatedly offended by the gals/guys talking in their native language while working in you with another technician, can't help but feel they are talking about me! I experienced this again today with each tech on both sides looking at me as my tech was talking in her "native " language. We don't talk about you in front of you in a language you can't understand, so rude to do it in front of us. That being said, one of the best pedicures ever. read more

I have been going to Maila nails from the time they opened, I have never had a bad experience, Lynn is the best very knowledgeable. I started going there when a co worker recommended them because it was a couple of miles down the road, and convenient for me. I left that job over 5yrs ago, I live in W. Bloomfield and I drive to Lynn to get my nails done. they are friendly, and efficient. Lynn remembers and greets most of the customers by their name. Great service. read more

Very rude! I started going here after my regular place lovely nails had a fire. I went and got a couple manicures no big deal. They did a nice job and was a little more expensive but no biggie. Today I decided to go back for a mani and pedi. As I am walking out the door the husband called and said he just got called into work and I needed to wait for the kids. No biggie my kids are well behaved. I had my 9 year old bring his ds and I figured I would give my 3 year old a mani and pedi too so it would keep her occupied. My son literally sat on the couch the whole time without making a peep. My 3 year old as she was getting her nails done the lady seemed annoyed the whole time. Then she goes to put her under the dryer and she sits there but freaks out that I wasn't right next to her. I said "ok just come over here and you can sit by me". The lady proceeds to yell at her to get under the dryer. I said "it's fine she is scared". My daughter sits on my lap pretty much the whole pedi. My daughter wanted to put her feet in the water and the lady says "no you are done" seriously!!!! So my daughter went and sat with her brother while I finished. As I get my nails done the lady says "do you want just polish so you can get out of here faster? I said "no they are fine". Then she rushed to get me out. After I pay she says "next time if you want to enjoy yourself don't being your kids, they make me nervous! What the heck! They did nothing!!! My 3 year old was either on my lap or on the couch with her brother. As I am drying a customer said "you know they really were both very good". She said "some kids would be running around but they were well behaved. I'm glad someone thinks so. I will find another place while lovely nail rebuilds. They love doing my daughters toes and nails. I had the worst experience ever, I went so early to get pedicure and filling done , and I meant to be so early so I can be done early , the lady who did my pedicure left me on dry machine for 30 min then she started helping another customer then she remembered I'm still sitting on drying machine waiting for her and she told me someone else will help me in a few minutes and I turned my head everywhere to see everybody is busy with another customer, I told her I can't wait another hour to be helped I came early to get what I want to be done early not to be the last one , another lady told me if you want you can come back later !!! What???!!! Come back later ???!!!! If this is the customer service at Maila nails then I would rather go somewhere else when they have good job and customer service, very bad experience never go to this location again, don't recommend for anyone and they need supervision and management!!! read more

Never make any appointment (I know that's bad). Went in today and had to wait anywhere from like 5-10 mins which is awesome. I was in and out before I even knew it. This was one of the WORST experiences I have had. I am visiting my grandmother from out of town and we thought it would be nice to treat her to getting her nails done. Sadly, this was not a positive experience. When the lady doing my nails was cutting my cuticles she managed to draw blood on two of my fingers. The one bled for the entire appointment and is still bleeding as I write this review. Not only that but I had to ask to have ALL of my nails to have the same number of coats. She did a 3rd coat on one and then it did not match any of the other nails. Quality was not there. read more

I have no clue what had happened at this place, but their service has been going straight down for the past few months...they charge you for every little thing-nail polish removal, cutting down, etc. The tech broke my nail when cutting them down,and had the nerve to charge me for a repair. I ended up paying more that what a full set would cost and I went for a fill-in. Then to make things worse, they didn't last 2 weeks. They put on such a thin coating on it didn't make it a week before they were chipped. So disappointed. I will not be coming back!! read more

i've been going to this place for over a year now and they have always done a good job, but as of lately they've brought in new workers that have NO idea what they are doing. i'm currently wearing the third set in a row that i'm unhappy with. i got my nails done yesterday for valentine's day, my nail lady asked if i wanted her to paint hearts on my nails. "its cute" she says, so i say ok. not only does she charge me extra for this without warning (i'm a student working minimum wage, i don't appreciate surprise fees, i'm already paying enough) she paints the ugliest two hearts i have ever seen in my life. if you're going to do nail art, at least have a steady hand, a perfectionist mindset, and a knowledge of how to actually do it! i'm going to hate these nails until i can get a new set (never coming back after this, they have messed up too many times) the heart looks like it was cut out of construction paper by a three year old. now i feel like i have to hide my fingers, really convenient for valentines day, i'm going to be worrying about my ugly nails the whole time. also she did not take her time with the polish, it's all rough and uneven and overall this is just embarrassing. don't waste your money. read more
