My two sisters and I went here for pedicures the day after a holiday and it was a great experience! First of all, when we were calling to check about appointments they didn't answer, but they did call us back! I've never had a business like this return my call. They were able to get us in for an appointment, but since there were only two employees, we weren't able to all get our pedicures at exactly the same time. This was really only the downfall though. The ladies go above and beyond, jokes with us, and overall made the experience relaxing and fun. I got the basic $25 pedicure and I'm so pleased. I don't live around here but will probably return whenever I come to visit my mom because it's the best pedicure experience I've ever had. I feel like Goldilocks going from nail salon to nail salon trying to find the one that is "just right". I was hoping this was it since it is not far from my house, but alas, I still need to keep looking. Pros: They take appointments, the girls were friendly, my manicure was inexpensive ($25)...that is unfortunately it for me. Cons: The salon was not in the best shape (it appeared run down and not very clean), they do not have any hours posted, they do not accept credit cards, they have a limited selection of polish colors, they do not have a TV or radio (so it was uncomfortably quiet). I could get past the cons if my shellac manicure lasted, but my thumb chipped after 3 days, then other nails snagged in my hair while showering. After one week, I had already lost 3 nails. read more

I honestly would not go back at all. If you are looking for something cheap, go ahead but don't expect to come out and have the best looking nails. The lady who did my mani wasn't rude but she also wasn't the nicest, she seemed sarcastic and such a smart ass. I tried to be really nice and make conversation about my past experiences with other salons but she wasn't having it. She also has some type of prejudice towards acrylic and gel nails‍ I asked her to give me coffin shaped nails and she totally shut me off saying that i should just keep my shape. I figured she didn't know how to do it. Place is small and a bit run down. I also got a pedi and she placed me in the massage chair that was broken. No TV or music. I went to a much better nail salon after this (Nail Gloss) and they commented about my nails and how the past nail tech wasn't doing their best job. I truly hope this review helps!! read more

This is a run down little shop with no public handwashing station and no certificates placed on the walls to show that it's a reputable business. I went in a month ago to get my nails done. Initially when i walked in and i asked the artist if she could do a design that i wanted she said yes (and it was fairly simple) only to find out that she couldn't and then tried to sell me on some tacky stickers to put on them instead, which i declined. Then While prepping my nails to get them painted; she cut me to the point where i was bleeding on 6/10 of my fingers. To be fair we're not even at the worst part. After i leave and paid, two days later the nails were already coming off, so i come back to the nail salon just to get them taken off. ( she didn't charge me and then gave me a full refund) but then proceeded to ask me "if black people tip me" because she knew i was a server. And then proceeded to complain about how "she does their nails and they don't tip her" I won't be going back and the whole experience was very unprofessional and disgusting behavior on their part. I don't remember my nail artists name but she runs the shop and I'm pretty sure is the owner. Good luck keeping clientele with those kind of remarks as well as your quality of work. read more

Since I was going to be on my lunch, timing was important. I found Anchor nails on Yelp, called and was greeted by a friendly voice with a smile who answered all of my questions and let me make an appointment for my Mom and I at the best time possible. They were ready when we arrived, they were sweet and kind and treated us like Queens. They even did a special knitting nail art for my Mom which she loves. The young lady who did my pedicure pulled the nail clipper out of a drawer and threw it back in when she was done. The same with the nail file. 5 stars for the pedi, 1 for the mani(only because they had the color I wanted). Shellac nails, regular pedi. Pedi: Between falling asleep in the massage chair while my legs were being massaged by what felt like a deep yet gentle tissue massage-Yes Lord!, the tip was quickly earned. After a nice leg scrub, lotion massage, then warm towel, I was awaken to the cutest mani ever. Easily the best pedi I've had in years. If that was the basic pedi, the deluxe has to be out of this world! Mani: I didn't realize I wasn't asked to wash my hands until I left. While my nails were shaped to my liking, another coat of polish should have been applied, but I was too high off the pedi to realize it. I won't go back for a mani. This place is decently clean and cheap ($20 for Shellac, $7 for brows). However the nail tech was extremely rude to the point that I do not plan on going back. She acted like I was inconveniencing her by even walking in the door, and would get agitated if I did not switch my hands in the UV dryer fast enough. Also, they did not do a good job on brows. They did not clean the top or use tweezers AT ALL. Additionally when applying the wax they got it in my hair in three different spots. I've been to MANY different nail salons (probably near 50) and this would be towards the bottom of the list except for the price. Definitely don't recommend. read more
