This place is a great find. I found the place nestled in a random section in this town. The Taro tea is so tasty. This is my second time here in this work trip this week. The service was quick and you can tell this place is popular. Ambiance is calming and friendly too. Stop by for a quick look!!!!!!

Magic Tea (La Verne) is not bad. I ordered the Mango Galaxy Tea ($5.45) with Lychee Jelly (additional 60 cents). The drink is very sweet, thirst-quenching, & refreshing. It's an affordable, big beverage. I arrived at Magic Tea (La Verne) on Sunday (around 1:45PM). The parking lot is huge! Parking is simple & convenient. Unfortunately, its exterior is easy to miss. It's very plain and forgettable. As I approached, I see smudgy & dirty glass entrance doors. Staff is accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Staff quickly answered my questions. The "caffeine" Galaxy Tea variations include green tea. The "no caffeine" variation is just water. Staff gave great recommendations, and staff was attentive at the counter. My order took one minute and 20 seconds. Extremely fast! As mentioned, I enjoyed the Mango Galaxy Tea ($5.45) with Lychee Jelly (additional 60 cents). I selected regular ice, regular sugar, and "caffeine" (aka: includes green tea). I loved the drink's vibrant and attractive colors. It's also very sweet tea while injecting spurts of tangy mango. I especially enjoyed how the Lychee Jellies popped with a sweet flavor. It's a refreshing and decent quality beverage for its low price point. Unfortunately, ambiance is a huge weakness at Magic Tea (La Verne). Currently, this small business is an ugly place. Its furniture are worn-down & aged; the walls have faded paint & chipped pieces; and some portions of the floors & tables are unclean. I observed how staff ignored the dirty tables despite standing silently. There's almost no passion at Magic Tea (La Verne). It's been harshly aged with time. There are some positives though. First, Magic Tea (La Verne) had good ventilation. The air felt fresh. Next, I liked the soft upbeat Japanese music. Also, I appreciate how there's about five electrical outlets for devices; there's also customer wifi with password. The location even has two gender neutral restroom. This place could potentially be a study/work spot despite its dingy appearance. Overall, Magic Tea (La Verne) is not bad. I enjoyed my affordable & pretty drink. Staff is also friendly. It's just a shame that this small business has the appearance of a dilapidated, aging cafeteria. 4.5 out of 5

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. Chill and cozy vibes. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive. It is located inside a small plaza. Lots of parking spots for you to choose from. Take your pick. Some spots are smaller than others, so be careful where you park. Food & Drinks: I ordered a mild popcorn chicken. I also ordered a jasmine green milk tea and roasted oolong milk tea. The popcorn chicken came out pipping hot, juicy, tender, and extremely crunchy. Some of the popcorn chicken had some flavor, but some did not. I don't think the popcorn chicken was evenly mixed / tossed in the flavor. The ones that didn't get any flavors on them were very bland, which is why I removed one star. The batter for the popcorn chicken was perfect. Not too thick or thin. Each order of popcorn chicken comes with 3 sauces. If you want more, each additional sauce after the first 3 sauces is .25¢ each. The popcorn chicken is a bit pricey, but totally worth the price with the amount that they give you. It's a generous portion. And as for my two drinks, the Jasmine green milk tea and roasted oolong milk tea were both very refreshing on a hot summer's day. I could really taste the floral notes in my Jasmine green milk tea. Both milk teas were sweet and creamy. Soooooo delicious! Staff: The staff here are very kind, welcoming, friendly, helpful, and courteous. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

It was one of those hot days and I was looking for a refreshing drink to quench my thirst. I looked at Yelp for suggestions. Magic Tea was very close and had great reviews. There was ample parking. The shop was spacious and very clean. It had relaxing and pleasant vibes. The menu included; various types of milk tea, fresh fruit smoothie, brew tea, herbal tea, flavor green tea, galaxy tea, milk shake, fresh fruit tea, in addition to snacks. I was indecisive, but the barista assisted me in choosing my drink. She was very nice and helpful. I chose topical Black Tea, 50% ice & 50% sugar with Rainbow popping 5/5 The tea was rich, stong and had refreshing floral taste. My daughter got mango Galaxy with green tea base , 50% ice, 50% sugar with Mango Jelly 5/5 It was sweet and had fragrant taste. For snacks, we ordered Popcorn chicken and fried Calamari. Unfortunately, they ran out of the Calamari. The popcorn chicken was fresh, crispy from outside, juicy and flavorful from inside. The amount was generous. The service was very fast and outstanding. The tea worked magically to provide us with energy in that hot day. Magic Tea is a great place to stop by, relax and enjoy a nice drink. Definitely, I will be back to try more of their drinks.

I've been to Magic Tea a few times now. I ordered the 25% sweetened Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba, it has just the right balance of flavor without being too sweet. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients from the first sip. One thing I like is how conveniently it's located right off the freeway. If traffic's bad, I'll swing by for a drink to enjoy on the rest of my drive makes the ride way better. The shop itself is spacious with plenty of seating, and the customer service has always been good during my visits. My drinks have been made pretty quickly each time too. I wasn't a big fan of the popcorn chicken. It wasn't terrible, but definitely not something I'd order again. Overall, still a great spot for drinks, especially if you're in the area or just passing through.

Needed a place to get some work done, this was a good spot. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking, I didn't have any issues finding a spot. Seating: Plenty of seating, great for groups, room for maybe 20. Vibes: Welcome to La Verne. Not the flashy part of LA County but a nice suburban area that has a little bit of everything. The place itself is pretty spacious. It's pretty clean with some photo op spots, and board games if you want to kill time and hang out with a friend. I dig the pop playlist as I was getting stuff done. FOOD: Green Hibiscus (Recommend) Good. I requested the minimum sugar level (25%) and it got the job done. A nice earthy but sweet fragrant flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Well-versed on the menu and quick with the service. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good selections, reasonable price, and a comfortable experience. I had a good evening work session here. Lights were bright, calm flow of people and good wifi. For those in need of a boba fix, definitely consider this spot. TIPS: * For those that want the aesthetic photo for the gram, then make sure you get it cold.

I like coming here to get work done. They have plenty of tables with outlets by them and free wi-fi. Their tea drinks and snacks are good. I like the rose milk tea half sweet and popcorn chicken. They have other snacks as well. You can adjust the spice level for them between mild, medium, and hot. The hot is not that hot to me, but I can handle a good amount of spice. The portion of popcorn chicken is pretty good compared to other tea shops I've been to as well. Their decor consists of a lot of white - white tables, white chairs, white walls. The thing is, the upkeep could be better as there are scuff marks on the walls and chairs. The tables are a bit flimsy and could be wiped down more. Service is friendly. They have a loyalty card that you can collect stamps on if you become a regular. Overall, this place is definitely in my rotation of study/work spots in the area.

Review #1060~ Gotta love this tea shop from La Verne, CA., which i located from using Yelp. The creative title of the Tea Shop caught my eyes~'Magic Tea,' immediately made me wanna give them a shot. Service: 5/5~topnotch. barista offered their frequent buyer stamp card to me without requesting it. i must have given out the boba lovers' hype to them. Ambiance: 5/5~extremely neatly organized inside and decorated with positive quotes on their walls. Drinks: 5/5~please consult pics i attached for references. i ordered a couple of drinks to go~a jasmine green milk tea and regular house milk tea with different toppings. Baristas got both drinks perfectly crafted. i'll be back in no time when i'll be visiting Amazon Fresh around the corner.

Was craving a tea drink and stopped by since it was the closest place from where I was. Parking is easy, the inside is very bright and spacious with lots of seating. The girl at the front was super sweet and answered all my questions about the extensive menu. Ended up getting the galaxy tea with mango, boba, 25% ice, and 50% sweet. Drink was really good without being too sweet and the boba was perfectly chewy. Will definitely come back!!

Found this cute location on a whim and decided to order online and pick up our drinks. My go-to is usually black tea with cheese foam and boba, and I basically judge a place by its basic black tea. This place was really good! Their cheese foam is SOO GOOD! It has that nice creamy, foamy texture with the right amount of salt and sweet. And their black tea was good too! I would definitely try this place again. The yogurt galaxy drink was really pretty, but it was okay, nothing too special. And the brown sugar milk tea is just standard. Still 5/5 for their cheese foam drinks, I would come back to buy more in the future :) read more

I don't usually post reviews (especially after accidentally deleting my draft twice), but I have to say that I'm so glad Magic Tea is in La Verne! After moving away from Central San Gabriel Valley, I lost access to some of the best boba shops around, but Magic Tea really hits the spot! My first time there, I tried the Galaxy Yogurt Tea with Lychee Jelly and was pleasantly surprised! I couldn't exactly identify what the "galaxy" part of the drink was, but it sure added a great twist to the original Yogurt Green Teas I've tried before. Overall, it was a thirst-quenching and delicious drink. This visit, I went with the classic Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. The milkiness balances well with the flavor of tea (just the way I like it!) and the boba is so fresh it left faint streaks of brown sugar running down the sides of the cup (shown in photo). I was tempted to order the Popcorn Chicken as well, but decided to save it for my next visit. If you're looking for a good boba/milk tea shop in the nearby area, Magic Tea is the place to go!! read more

I started coming here early pandemic and has been my favorite milk tea place in La Verne. Their drink sizes are decent. My favorite drinks a Jasmine green milk tea, house fruit tea, tai iced tea. If you want something hot I recommend jasmine green tea. Staff are nice, the place is clean, and you can call ahead to get your drink. The cups and lids are well constructed and not flimsy. New to milk or iced teas? Start with regular milk tea. Still too earthy or ur a "super taster"? Then try the house fruit tea. read more

Today I was in the area and got to stop by Magic Tea for the second time and grab another delicious tea. The first time I was here, I went the creamy route and ordered an earl grey milk tea with their intriguing cheese foam on top. It was honestly one of the best tea drinks i've ever had, so obviously I was excited to come back and try other combinations (which are pretty endless here). One thing about bubble tea shops i've noticed is that they often over-sweeten their drinks, and the tea can sometimes have a strange aftertaste. I'm very pleased to report that i've had neither of those problems either time I visited Magic Tea. I didn't ask for less sweetener or anything in my drinks; just ordered them standard (except for when I requested cheese foam on top of my earl grey during my first visit) yet in my opinion they weren't cloying like many other experiences i've had. this time I ordered their lychee galaxy tea as I wanted to try something refreshing, and I wasn't disappointed. The fresh lychee flavor really comes through and everything is well-balanced. Not to mention the tea itself is visually gorgeous!! especially before mixing and held up to the light. I also really like their cups, they're adorable and reusable. I still have mine from last time. Also, the girl working the counter is really sweet and helpful. in conclusion: if you're in the area please give Magic Tea a try even if you don't think you're a "tea" person, they're bound to have something you'll enjoy. :^) read more

I've been to this place about 2-3 times a month since March 2021 and usually order a Fruit Tea, or a Milk Tea. The prices are still good for what's expected now and the portions are great. I found the place gives more portions on toppings compared to other places too. The drinks and ingredients are all fresh, and the cup/lid are high quality. I really wish I could give this place a 5 because its one of the better tea places in the area. But it has one flaw for me- inconsistency. Depending on who is working that day you will get one of the following 1) Too sweet 2) Too much tea 3) Boba/other toppings have weird texture 4) Boba is great and tea tastes great read more

Got a drink for me and my husband yesterday and their taro milkshake was really bomb! But their dark brown sugar milk tea is by far the saddest version I've tasted amongst all the famous boba places I've tried. I watch out for my sugar level so I'd usually go for either 50 or 75% sweetness. And for my brown sugar milk tea, I opted to go for 75% as it was my first time trying Magic Tea's version. I'm well aware that it has Jasmine tea in it. So I wasn't sure if they steeped the tea for too long or if my drink was made with only 50% sweetness in it. My husband was the one who got more frustrated than I was when he tried my drink as it was bitter! I ended up putting maple syrup at home just so I could finish my drink. I hope they improve this drink for their future customers whose go-to drink is dark brown sugar milk tea like myself. read more

What can I say! I'm happy to have found this place close by! If I can't get Kung fu tea or ding tea, magic tea is where I go. Their taste is consistent and that's what I enjoy. They also always have boba (never any shortages of that from experience when I go to other places, they always say they're out when I've tried other businesses) Love the oolong milk tea! read more

Man fuck starbucks This place is so so so good.i dont even know how to write a proper review right now it was so damn. Good. And the people who work here are very nice they give you advice on what you might like; so very polite. But the tea god damn so good. The hawaiian paradise is so damn refreshing. My husband wanted to buy a gallon. Its not too sweet and its so refreshing damn. The magic tea so fucking good. The house blend fruit tea god damn good.ok im done fucking good. read more

I stopped in to try this place out as I am a milk tea fanatic. The building is very nice and the staff were friendly. The tea is just okay however. My gf got a taro milk tea and it was way too sweet. Like extremely sweet. Sweet to the point where each sip hurts your teeth and you feel like you are going to get a headache after finishing it. My dark brown sugar milk tea was the complete opposite. It wasn't sweet at all and almost tasted watered down. Overall I'm disappointed as I love milk tea and I want to support new business, but this place just wasn't that great. You can spend your money better elsewhere at the dozens of other tea places in the area. read more

I love this place. Just be aware that their drinks are very very very very sweet. Either she forgot when I said to do 50% sweetness or the 100% was ridiculously sweet. So you may want to consider reducing the sweetness and then asking them to add more if it's not sweet enough for you. read more

I was on my way to Starbucks for my morning iced tea, but then I noticed this cute little place. So, I decided to give Magic Tea a try! Before the pandemic, I would go out with friends to Little Tokyo for 'Cheese Foam Tea', which is oddly difficulty to come by, but sense then I haven't been able to find it. Thankfully, I found this place! Magic Tea is very friendly and very clean! Which I really enjoyed and thankful for. I got my order quickly and was very happy with it. I ordered an unsweet Green Tea with the illusive cheese foam. The tea was perfectly brewed, not to bitter but not to light in flavor. The cheese foam was fluffy and creamy! I was very happy with my order and will definitely tell my friends. read more

Really good!! I just happened to see that they were open as I drove by and decided to pop in. The storefront is small but its actually a really clean and spacious looking shop inside. The decor is modern, stylish and the music was pretty good too. I had the Hawaiian Paradise and the Savory Crepe. This tea has a strawberry/cranberry taste to it that was really refreshing. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and still had tons of flavor to it. The slices of lime and mint keep adding flavor so the drink isn't watered down when the ice melts. Also the cup is REALLY CUTE!!!!! :) I got the savory crepe plain but I would definitely recommend adding the beef or the cheese for a little extra flavor. The staff was really kind and attentive (always a plus) which made me definitely want to go back again. I definitely recommend this place!! read more

I was on my way to starbucks and saw this place so I wanted to give it a try. Come to find out they actually just opened today! They're open from 9am-9pm for Grand Opening hours. Brown Sugar Boba: 8/10 The drink itself is good but the boba is more on the soft side than chewy and doesn't really have taste. I got the sea salt cheese on top and that was 10/10! Pork rolls with Cheese: 8/10 It's pretty good, reminds me of cordon bleu but this is just made with pork. It's a little fatty but it is pretty decent in size ($2.95/each) Overall I had a good experience. It's a pretty big boba place and it's modern. The staff were amazing and very friendly. :) Will come back! read more

Yes!!!! Finally a GREAT boba place in la Verne!!!! The boba here was amazing and aesthetically pleasing, good for a photo opt. First of all, I love the name of the shop, such a cute idea! They have a wide variety of drinks - so it's hard to decide! Fruit teas, milk teas, milkshakes etc.. My favorite drink is the peach oolong tea or the peach galaxy tea. And the service is 10/10 every time because the staff is so friendly and sweet. Definitely my new boba spot :) read more

Negative stars if I could. Sitting here waiting for my drinks ... going on 20 minutes, practically empty store. No, there is no long line of people waiting. Just 1 person making drinks and every time a mobile order came in, those got priority first. read more

As we were about to make line for Starbucks for tea we saw this and decided to try it out instead. The place itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I got the peach oolong tea with brown sugar boba. It was delicious. Not too sweet, great tea flavor and not overloaded with ice. My husband got the mango galaxy with crystal boba and we also loved that one. We can definitely taste the tea, the flavors are beautifully combined and really nice to look at. We also ordered some fries, they were very tasty. They weren't oily, soggy or salty. The popcorn chicken was good, however they got a little soggy on the 5 min drive home. Still great tasting. I'm excited to see a boba spot in la Verne and will be attempting to come back and support this business once a week. read more

I was truly excited when they built this little house/shop. It's a nice break from going to Starbucks, especially since Magic Tea's assortment of teas are very nice. I love that they have the loose leaf teas on display and the fruity ones are naturally sweet. The cheese foam is really delicious as well. The staff are always ready and are very kind. They always greet you with a welcome and a thank you as you leave and I truly love this little shop. Visited Magic Tea for the first time tonight. They have been opened for 1 week now. The store is simple, clean, and cute decor. Staff are friendly. We got green tea and the tropical black tea. Delicious! They only offer one size. It is 18 oz, if no ice. I also love the cup = sturdy, tight seal, and doesn't hav3 cup sweat. Popcorn chicken is different, but still good. Got their dark brown sugar milk tea this time. It tastes pretty good, with some amazing gooey brown sugar syrup in it. I also got their classic fruit and popcorn chicken before. Both were pretty good! The popcorn chicken is more American than Taiwanese but still tastes good. Recommended! read more

We like their tea and popcorn chicken like all the stars are for that. They were really nice and seemed excited to be there. Please stay away from Orange chicken (which is just chicken nuggets glazed in sauce) and the beef foil packs were just ok. read more

Super excited to see another boba shop near home in La Verne and decided to stop by today. Got Assam black tea with salted cheese foam and strawberry lover, both with less ice and regular sugar. Drinks weren't overly sweet, just how I like it. Cheese foam was sooo smooth and yummy, pairs well with assam tea (I'm sure it'll be tasty with any other tea as well). Pastaphony caught my attention within moments of nesting my customer's order into my insulated carrier- my SUV's cabin was redolent of cheese, tomatoes and overall hone-cooked goodness! I went with Pasta Arrabbiata, then customized my order by adding a breaded chicken breast, black olives, onions, roasted peppers and shaved parmesan. On the plus side, Pastaphony gives ample portions- My entree weighed almost as much as a two-item combo platter from your friendly neighborhood Chinese takeout place! And, while the dish took me to Flavortown...unfortunately it was the Mojave Desert, with its scorching flavor profile and intense, spicy taste.
