Wasted my time waiting for their estimator to show up losing half a days pay to accommodate their schedule of what I was told would be between 12:00 - 3:00. After waiting until 2:30 I called their office to make sure I was still on the schedule but was told they didn't have me on the list and the person who made the schedule wouldn't return for a week. Apparently I didn't fit neatly into their schedule. Incompetency and lack of regard for the customer doesn't warrant business! read more

I'm not one to usually take the time to write reviews but after dealing with Magic Pest Control I had to take the time to do it. When I was looking for a company to treat my scorpion issue I came across them. I called and signed up their year contract which I was told included "dusting entire exterior wall, spraying 10ft past property line and taking every other electrical outlet off through the house and dusting behind it". Hearing that this was part of their treatment when they would come out I was happy to pay more for their service. They sent there employee out for the first treatment. He was very nice however he didn't dust the exterior of the outside wall, spray anywhere other then in the yard and never took one cover off inside the house to dust behind. I called down to their office before my next months appointment to let them know what had happened. I was told by Lisa that she would talk to the other manager and get back to me. Well after 3 days I had not one call back. I then called back down to follow up and let them know I had found a scorpion inside the house. My contract states that "at anytime if you find a scorpion then they will come out immediately and treat", however when I called on 7/16 I was told they couldn't come until 7/24. After talking with the manager Gloria she understood why I was upset and set they would have them come out Monday 7/20 between 11-1 and not only dust in the room it was found but do my full months treatment that was originally scheduled for 7/31. After taking off work to be there between 11-1 they ended up not showing. So at 1:50 I called their office. They put me on hold and came back saying "he's running 20 mins late and the time window we gave you was 11-2". Now I run my own business and time management is very big to me. I can without a doubt guarantee you they told me 11-1. Besides the point he still wouldn't have been there until 2:10 according to them and I had to go to a meeting at 3. So I rescheduled to have them come out the next day 7/21 between 11-1. The guys shows up at 12:30. I'm happy he's finally there after all the run around I had gone through. He starts inside and dusts behind 2 outlets in the room I found the scorpion the week before. He comes out and says "ok I'm ready to dust outside and I'll be out of here". I asked him what about spraying the base boards and the outside of the house? He says that's not what he was told to do. I had him call down and was treated with such disrespect by the office managers Lisa and Gloria that i demanded I be let out of my contract without any penalty. I will never use this company again. They lie about what comes with the service you get and when you argue with them they just blame the last person you talked to for giving you the wrong information. I've never been so pissed off and had my time wasted then I have had with this company. Do not use them!!!! read more

After being a customer for over 22 years, I called for service today from Magic Pest Control and was told their prices jumped 150% over the price I have been paying. AMAZING! This is for a 10-15 minute servicing. Chad, my service tech was amazing but the prices they are charging are RIDICULOUS! Goodbye Magic Pest Control...your MAGIC is GONE! Nelson and his employees have always been great to work with... I recently stopped in their gilbert office and explained that my daughters apartment had a major issue with pests... He basically gave me a $50 value for $15.... They have come and done our house a number of times and help us identify other problems and issues that we were unaware of... I had been a loyal customer for several years until recently. In the last year they raised their monthly rate we were paying twice without telling me. In addition, the technicians did not show up in the scheduled timeframe on several occasions. When I finally called to speak to someone about my issue with their pricing, the "manager" I spoke to was not only rude but did not try to save me as a customer whatsoever. If that's how much they care about my business then they won't be getting it. I will never recommend them to anyone. Find another company that values their customers! read more

Had a major problem after the rains. Nelson Ruiz, The mgr. came out, drew up a diagram of the problem area around & in the house. Gave a plan of treatment and a choice of five or ten year warranties, Crew came on schedule, drilled the garage floor and foundation and applied pesticide in narrow trench. Were polite and efficient. Had a minor reoccurence a month later. Mark came out and spot treated it within two days. Would use this company again. read more

WHoa.......Stay away from these guys. We hired them to get rid of our pigeons back in mid November of 2008. Today is APril 2nd, 2009 and they still have not finished the job nor have they done what they said they would do. We paid them $667 to put up gel and some spikes to rid our 2 story home of all the pigeons and get rid of the pigeon poo that was there as we had just bought the home. They actually did 95% of the job but they missed an overhang where the pigeons sit and poo all day that lands in our driveway. Everyday, we have to hose down our driveway to get rid of this toxic nasty mess. We discovered they missed a spot a couple weeks after the first time they were out in November. I scheduled an appt with the receptionist for the same guy/owner to come out and take a look and finish the job. "I had to be there" they said to show him exactly where I was speaking of although it was very OBVIOUS just by looking at all the poo. So, I scheduled off half a day from work to do so and no call, no show. When I did get ahold of someone they said they overbooked. So, re-scheduled took another 1/2 day off from work. Same exact thing. No show, no call and when I called the owner directly he became rude to me stating his receptionist was overbooking. Shouldn't that be up to him to resolve that problem? Needless to say, this has gone on for 4 1/2 months and he has said he will be out several times. He finally showed up mid March with an hour notice on Saturday and said he would be back that week, it was a small problem and asked if this was what all the fuss was. ALL the fuss? The only fuss is getting him to finish the job. We never said it was a large job. However, again no one came or called since. All of our messages go unanswered. He sees our number and never picks up. I called from a co-workers phone in which he answered right away and his excuse was his wife was having surgery and that's why ne never calls me back. SO, he answers the phone when it's not us, and says now his excuse is his wife is in surgery. That is the longest surgery ever. 4 1/2 months! This guy is a liar, a cheat and a con. Horrible business!!! We just want our problem fixed and for $667 wanted him to finish his job. This guy is cocky and arrogant and of no use. We have just hired someone else to finish. Stay away from this so called business. They take your money and run...so keep running Nelson! read more
