I came in a few weeks back and had a fabulous pedicure with Eason. I rebooked for today. I arrived and was given to someone else. They rebooked or moved my appointment to another technician. She had no experience with someone who had in grown toe nail surgery and butchered my toenail. Not sure how long it's going to take to get my toenails to grow back. Very frustrating. She slathered my feet with oil and I had to come home and wash my feet and scrub my sandals since they were covered in oil. Consider the Countryside locations next time read more

Work is inconsistent and there's no pricing transparency. I've paid a different amount for the same services each time. They almost never accept walk-ins but still don't get appointments situated in a timely manner. The chain's owner/founder doesn't have much to do with this location and I think it really shows. I came in to get my nails done at 6:30 on a Tuesday. I waited a bit because I didn't have an appointment but I wasn't in a rush so that was fine! Trinity was so great! She took off my old acrylics (from another salon) and she was so much more gentle than I've ever had in the past. I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted and she did them exactly the same. She took the time to help me find the right colors and made sure I was completely satisfied. I didn't have time on Tuesday, but I can't wait to come here again for my pedicure! They seem like they have good hygiene and make sure to keep their tools sanitized between clients. I'm so satisfied with my nails and I think I've finally found my new nail place! read more

I've been scoping out every nail salon and magic nails salon in my area. Magic nails are definitively most reliable if you want quality in most cases, unless you get a person that's not careful but in my experience it's been okay. As their pricing goes, $50 for dip, design range $10-35 depending on intricacy of design. Main CON! - while they appear to be a cleanly business, they don't clean their equipment! Each technician has their own set of personal equip. which they use for every person. Nothing was washed, or sterilized. They don't use new buffers on machines, rather reuse from their personal set. This is not good for your nails. (Also I had a 6pm appt, my tech forgot ab me and I waited 30min to get started) Another negative- they don't really like to be "put to work" as in, if you ask for a design you can expect your technician to be annoyed. This has been my experience everywhere within magic nails. My technician today was asking me what I wanted and I said pink base dip with squiggly line design. She literally laughed when I said my design and turned to another employee and started speaking a different language. I'm sure you can see how that can be viewed as rude. If you don't want to work, don't, I will be happy to settle for another technician! But if I come to a nail salon I will get my nails done how I prefer them, not how it's easy for you. Overall, staff is nice and friendly, if you want good nails you can depend on magic nails but don't be hesitant to tell them what you want. read more

I did a walk in with my husband at 4pm Wednesday, lot of people but didn't have to wait long. We just got a basic pedicure which is $33. It was about 45 minutes, and the foot massage part was pretty long! You can pay with card but tips are only accepted in cash. read more

Joy did a great job with my pedicure and no chip fills. The place was clean and I saw an employee whose job was to sanitize and put in fresh liners for bowls for pedicures. I used to come here regularly, a lot of my family used to as well. They have gotten worse with customer service over time. The final straw was when they wouldn't look up a gift certificate I purchased with them, and after asking to speak with the owner the front desk girl straight up said "No." I switched over to Revitalized Nails (aka Crystal nails spa) and I'm much happier with the service. read more

I love this place, great staff the wait time is not long you get there pick your color and get your service right away if any waiting is done it can be maximum 10 minutes. I go with Anna she is the best! My acrylics last a long a time along with no chip. She's the best, may seem she works fast but, she's very through. I went in a few days ago to get a full set of acrylics. The nail tech was very rough with all of the tools and made 4 of my fingers bleed. Once he noticed I was bleeding, he still didn't stop doing my nails and didn't stop to clean the tools or the cut. He just continued to drill and buff my nails, powder from the drilling going into the cut on my thumb. Now the cut on my thumb is severely infected. I will NEVER be going back and I do not recommend at all. They are so unsanitary and it is not a good experience. read more

It takes a lot to disappointment me, I try and give the benefit of doubt. I sat and waited in a chair for 25 minutes when I was told there was no wait. It seemed they only wanted to deal with people getting mani and pedi. I was then told someone from the other location is coming to help. I said if they aren't here in 5 in leaving. They arrived and again couldn't more distant in my pedi. It hurt because he was rushing. I get a basic or spa pedicure and he rushed through it without scrubbing my heals or even putting separators on my toes or even showing me where to dry my toes when he was done. I don't get fancy designs just a simple pedi but I should still be treated as a paying customer. read more

I walked into the place last week around 11:30. When I arrived at the shop I was greeted by someone and asked to picked a color. The shop looked clean, the seats were comfortable, and the decor was pretty. The girl who did my pedicure was young, didn't talk to me. As she was cutting my toe nail she tried to clip it but it didn't cut all the way so she just ripped it off with her finger. It was ripped so down pass my nail line that it really hurt. As I said something to her she just sat there and smiled. Like she didn't know what was wrong. I just wanted to leave. I paid for my pedicure and asked for change. They said they only had 5 bills and no singles. You don't take a tip on credit cards and don't have change. You ripping my toenail down to the stump is not worth a 5.00 tip. #sorrynotsorry I will never stop by here again! Looks pretty but service sucks! read more

I called them on super short notice after having had a bad experience at a different salon. The lady on the phone was super kind and understanding and told us to come whenever. I came and got sat right away. My nail tech, Sky was amazing he was so nice and did a great job fixing my nails. They look great and are exactly what I asked for. I hate complaining about businesses, but I really have to. I was a walk in and asked for no chip and eyebrow wax. The no chip is perfect and Mary was soooooo sweet. I got my eyebrows waxed and I'm have fairly thick brows and usually just get the grown in hairs waxed, like any one else would. The girl doing my brows took off so much hair and they're not super short and thin, no shape. It has been the worst waxing I ever received. I will never go back here to get anything waxed. I will have to wait several months for the hair to grow back. The eyebrows are not even either. I now have to color my eyebrows in. I would post a picture but they're terrible. The ends are pointy. So I am extremely unhappy. read more

I have been going to MN for 6 months now for pedicures and no chip French manicures. I am usually very picky with the service and are not willing to overpay either. I usually see Linda for manicures and today I had Kim, for pedicures I don't really care too much. They have been doing a fantastic job on my nails, and even though they might be a tiny bit more expensive than some whole in the wall places, they are clean, pleasant and professional environment. My nails have looked...ok...from any nail salon I've been to. I was going to the Burr Ridge shopping mall & noticed a nail salon across the way so I figured I'd stop in & give it a try. I was given to Anna. She has far surpassed anyone I've ever gone to(and I've been getting my nails done for a long time). She listened to what I wanted & was extremely helpful in giving me other suggestions. She's not only good...she's GREAT!!! My nails have never looked so good. I'm so glad I was in Burr Ridge that day. I've found my girl!!!! I am back to say that Anna was a new girl that I had tried last time. I've been back twice since, for nails & pedicure. She is consistent with her work and is very good at what she does. I'm constantly getting compliments on my nails. I've recommended her to friends of mine who have also been...very satisfied!!! read more

This salon use to be excellent. I have been very disappointed with the service the last two times I was in. This past week I came in on a Monday night around 5 pm. There were hardly any other customers in besides me -- and yet I was rushed through a manicure and pedicure. On top of being rushed, the actual pedicure was done poorly - rush job. About 2 minute foot rub - it's advertised as 10 minutes -- and a few steps not included in the service. The French manicure I received was chipped 1 day later! This girl really had no clue what she was doing. I don't know if they train new people on Monday's or what the deal is but really, really disappointed with the service. I am extremely disappointed. Took my two girls there today, a woman did their nails in between her other tasks, rushing and trying to get it done. I realize they are kids but we were still paying customers. She couldn't even take the time to clean their nails. 3 hours later most of their nail polish has completely come off in one piece so you know they weren't picking at it. Either the nail polish is not quality or the rush and preoccupied service had her missing steps. I would not recommend wasting your time and money. read more

Went 3 weeks ago and had a male technician for a no- chip manicure. He had a bad cold and was wiping his nose in his sleeve the entire time. Never washed his hands. I ended up catching a cold a few days later. Very poor hand hygiene for a nail salon. Tried it again today and had another male technician who did a very sloppy job. Definitely not worth the price- which is higher than many other places I've been to. I have been a long time customer of Magic Nails since the Willowbrook salon opened and am very disappointed in the decline in quality and customer service. read more
