A friend and I visited Nails Shine for pedicures on Sunday. We were made to wait several minutes, despite having scheduled appointments. The pedicure was very basic and quick. The cost was $33, which seems average to me, but it lacked a few things I'd expect typically. E.g. no massage. The gentleman did good quality work on my nails, but the experience wasn't the most enjoyable. The space and tools appeared clean, but the towels being used did look quite ratty. read more

when this place opened it was great. First time back since they opened because I moved out of state and what a disappointing experience. The chairs you sit in for pedicures have no padding so after 5 minutes your but hurts from sitting the massage functions don't work properly if at all. I got the Nail Shine Deluxe pedicure was not worth the money the massage was not 10 minutes and the supplies needed were not even ready. However, the people working were very nice. So I thought this review posted years ago lol however tried them again like 4 years later and still the same guy giving pedicure cut nails but never cleaned feet aka used pumice stone or anything when asked about it they said do later do later however the later never came and then I asked again and still they told me he did it and I was talking so I didn't know I said absolutely not. Decided to go to Nails Shine on a whim and I'm so glad I did! I've gotten a couple of no chip manicure and pedicures and each time I've been so happy with the results! Tammy is wonderful, and another tech (I forgot his name!) also did a great job on my no chip. I recently got some Halloween themed design nails and I'm so happy with how they turned out! Literally the WORST experience ever! The lady could not seem to understand what I wanted for my pedicure so applied blobs of glitter on my toes and looked at me like "this is great, right". Finally, reached for another Asian lady that was helping someone else to see if she could bring me someone that spoke English. She got up to help and also couldn't understand why I was so upset! She asked the lady to remove and redo. So the second time I asked if she can just do a plain color and even that looked horrible! It's such a thick gel layer and it looks and feels terrible. I've been going to this shop over 5years the service is good but everyone is not treated equal. The prices vary per person mostly depending on race. I've watched and heard everyone's prices over the years and it's always different. She just updated the price board and a pedi with regular polish is 32$ I'm a nail tech I have polish at home I just enjoy relaxing sometimes but rather polish my own toes. I go to pay, didn't get polish she charged me 5$ to take my polish off I said now you charge to take polish off she says yes. Since when do you charge to take previous polish off that they did by the way? Every time I get serviced my total is different every time I'm just sick of it at this point I enjoyed going because she is quick and I like Lee she does pedicures good but I'm done going to businesses that change the price for people when they feel like it I will take my money elsewhere. I love this place! They're always very friendly and have QUALITY WORK. Very patient and helpful when I'm being indecisive. Highly recommend! The only thing is that they do get busy, so make sure to make an appointment or come right when they open! Otherwise they're santiary, relatively quick and I'm always happy with my nails! Tammi and crew are the best in the business. The salon is pretty and has convenient parking. Tammi is as sweet as the other reviews have said. I prefer to make an appointment but the shop does take walk-ins. My nails have never looked better or feel stronger . My dip lasts 4 weeks. If I should get a nick, she will fix in between my appointments. I have been using this salon exclusively for over 2 years and have no reason to go anywhere else. Soon as I walked in the shop she said they were busy and couldn't do my nails at all. It was only 2pm and they close at 5 pm. I was the only person she declined to do my nails. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in. The only person that does nails decent is Cindy. Horrible service. If you ask them to fix their mistakes they begin talking about you in their language. They do not properly clean the pedicure or manicure appliances. After my manicure they rinsed the bowl out with water NO SOAP and used it on the next client. I'll NEVER GO BACK!!!! read more

I have never had such a horrible experience in a nail salon before. I have never written a negative review, but this place deserves one. I have been here before, and did not care for it much, but I decided I would give it one last chance.There is a long list of things that happened today that should never happen to a customer anywhere, but I will only mention a few. First, the guy who did my nails had a bad attitude. He rolled his eyes and shook his head at me when I told him the old polish on my nails was from no-chip. Next, he did not tell me until after removing the old polish, that there was an extra $5 fee for polish removal. He assumed I already knew that somehow even though I have never had that happen anywhere else. He kept questioning my choices and treating me like I had no idea what I was doing. He questioned my choice of square nails, keeping them long, and even my polish color which was a simple grey. When I left, my nails were dented and chipped off immediately. I was infuriated that I paid $20 for such a horrible experience and nail job. When I called and asked for a manager, the woman who answered told me there was no manager there and the manager never comes in. When I asked for a way to contact a manager, she said, "No," and quickly hung up on me while I was trying to talk to her. I will never step foot in this place again. read more
