The workers are kind, funny, and accommodating but I can't get pass how dirty the bathroom is and how unsanitary the salon is. I've been a loyal customer to another local salon but their prices kept increasing and I could no longer justify paying the premium for my nails every 2 weeks I was greeted by the owner who might be the sweetest lady ever. 3rd time is a charm! This was the third time I have been "passed over" while waiting so they could get started on a mani/pedi client. I realize there is more money to be had with a mani/pedi client, rather than a lowly mani only client like me...but really? They like you to call ahead, to let them know you are coming, but they are still a "first come first served" walk-in facility so don't bother calling. The sad part is this facility is only a block from my house. My husband enjoyed giving me gift certificates from this location so I don't have to pay out of pocket to have my nails done, but I just can't continue to experience the poor customer service.There are still funds on my GC but alas, I will give them to someone else, maybe they will have better luck. Also, another of my fellow Yelpers mentioned the staff talking about her in Taiwanese. I am not so sure about the language, but I have seen this unprofessional behavior here, more than once. According to the Yelp map, there are 11 other nail facilities within a 2 mile radius of my home. Obviously it's time to find a new place for my manicures. read more

If you go to my personal yelp page, you'll see I've had 3 repeat disappointing experiences at another local nail salon. After my last manicure at the other place, I knew I had about 3 weeks to figure out a replacement spot. I asked girls in my workout class, I posted on fb, I searched yelp and the yellow pages! There are SO many salons out there that don't have any information or reviews, so I wanted to find somewhere recommended, and that wouldn't be astronomically priced. I settled on T Nails. It's walking distance from home (but I never made it there in the 7 years I lived where I do!) and had good yelp reviews. I called same day and got an appt that evening. When I arrived it wasn't too busy and I was able to select a color from their vast no chip options and be on my merry way. What I liked about my no chip ($30)- the price was fair. They used one of their acryllic drill bits to shave down my current no chip too. This kept the filing precise and away from my skin. The one time it did touch my skin, it felt like a soft tickle, so I knew my skin wasn't at risk. The girl who did my nails was efficient, but not sloppy. She had her brush dipped in polish remover to clean up any little errors, and applied 3 coats of paint to ensure even coverage. From start to finish it was an hour process. Since I'd had such a poor experience elsewhere I wanted to show my appreciation, so I thanked my manicurist for her careful work and told her I'd received bad service elsewhere. She asked where I went, and when I told her she said "well, don't go there. You go here now." I'm ok with that! I will be back, and I hope they can keep being consistent! They offer a "punch card"- 12 appointments gets you $12 off a service. read more

This place was so amazing that I almost hate to give it this great review for fear it will get too crowded. They squeezed me in at the last minute for a dip. The gentleman that did my nails knew exactly what he was doing. He made sure it was the color I wanted and was very patient with me while I tried to decide. He was meticulous. This is the best dip I've had in years. It's going on two weeks and they still look fantastic. Most technicians never seem to get the dip close enough to the cuticle/back end of the nail but he sure did. Most natural looking set I've had. They got me in on a super busy day and even though they were juggling MANY customers (big wedding weekend apparently) they made everyone happy. Cleanliness & hygiene don't seem to be a dominant factor here. It's needs a good THOROUGH cleaning...salon atmosphere doesn't provide a sense of good sanitation. The younger man in there doing nails was sneezing uncontrollably last week and instead of coughing into his shoulder & covering his face...he totally sneezed into the air over & over again; and never grabbed a tissue or washed his hands! It was disgusting! I've been going here for years & the cleanliness has been going downhill. Surfaces are dirty & the shop needs attention. Tina needs to hire someone to do a weekly cleaning of the salon. It's not as shiny an clean as it should be. read more

I just got my nails done here and it was a totally sloppy job. There are bubbles in the polish, polish outside the nail bed, and he didn't clean the filing residue off the ends of my nails before he put the polish on, so the ends are ragged. I would not go back. read more
