We always look great and rely on her to give us good care and cutting advice. I booked my wedding preparations at Salon 312. Me, my girls and my matron of honor were pampered with the best care in hair and make up, breakfast treats, juice and champagne for the grown-ups. Katie and the women at Salon 312 kept everything festive, upbeat and we walked away looking so stunning and glamorous. I have never in my life received the compliments that I got after I my hair and make-up were done the day of my wedding. My Mom said I looked MORE beautiful than I did back in 1986 at my first wedding, crying for joy! My good friend booked her wedding treatments through them after seeing how amazing I looked. Then when it was time to pay he was very pushy about a cash tip when I did not have any cash on me. I Zelle'd him but I really did not appreciate how pushy he was. The owner, Beata, and the rest of the manicurists keep this hidden, tiny oasis spotless. There are only three manicure stations as well as three pedicure stations along with a fully closed-off back station where you can relax during a massage or facial. The space is decorated in cool, neutral colors and the tiny waiting area is stocked full of current magazines. Beata and the other ladies use Essie and OPI nail products, sterilize everything, and are one of the few nail spas that use OPI drying drops instead of a drying spray or dryer. The results are so much better with the drying drops. No smudges or kinks in your nails because only the top layer of your nails was dried by the adhesive. The facials here cannot be beat if you have problem skin. The spa only stocks Dermalogica products and does all of the facialists do a detailed consultation to determine your problems and needs. Manicures are $20, pedicures are $40 and facials are $80; however, the prices are well worth it. I have never been more satisfied with a facial, a pedicure, or a manicure than when I leave Ambiance.

I went with it though they are usually faster but I'm not the expert. Neither was she, my nails didn't quite ever finish drying, they were not filed smooth so they kept catching on the fabric of my clothes, and the polish was all bubbled. The pedicure was not that great either. Honestly it looked like it was a week old already. I had a gift certificate so it didnt cost me anything, but I would never go back to that salon for nails. I thought because it was in a salon, it would be better quality than one of the dime a dozen shops you see everywhere. Maybe they knew I had the gift card so I recieved less than best service. Either way, don't bother. I didnt even bother to go back because its so far from home, its not worth it to me. My time is important. Obviously return business is not important to them. You get one chance for a 1st impression. They blew theirs.

We went for pedicures. As for the pedicure itself, very limited and bad color options and took and hour and a half. My polish was very thick, probably due to being old, and my polish was fairly clumpy once dry. I took it all off when I got home. I understand these are students and they are going to take longer and not be perfect, etc. However- it's everything else that made the experience horrible. For starters, the place is a dump and a mess. I hope I did not pick up a foot fungus or something of that nature while there. Second, the students' teacher was highly unprofessional. She spoke very inappropriately, and needed to wear a belt as her behind was hanging out most the time. The whole environment was very loud and not relaxing what so ever. And if I wasn't put off enough by this teacher by her unprofessionalism and innappropriatness, she chose to tell me AFTER my pedicure was done, that my Groupon was not going to be honored for what it was worth, the amount I paid- which never expires. Cannot explain enough how you should spend the extra $10 it would cost you to go someplace else.
