    9 days after service.
    Akna A.

Undoubtedly the worst nail experience I've ever had. I was cut four times during the service and burned with the electric file. The acrylic was placed over my cuticles and the nails came off nine days later. I had a manicure and a pedicure, which ran me $177. The tips of my nails were not properly glued down to the tip for the acrylic, so there is debris wedged between my actual nail and the acrylic, which is quite painful, filthy, and trapping moisture. Stay away from here at all cost. They are not clean and they are not certified. How do you cut somebody four times in one service and burn them too?! If you choose to go here, remember that my skin and blood may be on the same file that cuts you.

I was having a good time at first. They were very gentle with my nails. They are severely lacking in customer service. For some reason, my card wouldn't go through and that's not on them. Once I had the money transferred to another card, it did go through. The nail tech was trying to tell me that the payment didn't go through. Even after I showed the nail tech that I did pay and it is on my account, she FOLLOWED ME outside, telling me to come back inside to pay. I will never go back!

First and foremost, your nails will be flawless when you leave. I've never been disappointed. Secondly, the customer service is great. And lastly, the shop is always very clean. 10/10 recommend.

    Nail infection from Magic Nails.

Although I have been going to Magic Nails for years, I do want you to be aware of a horrible infection I received from there on March 10th. As I was getting a dip manicure the woman cut my cuticle with her machine. It was not severe - really not bleeding just hurt. She continued to dip my fingers which now I have learned they should NOT be dipping everyone's fingers in the same powder, the should put in a separate container for each costumer. I am now on week 3 of a horrible infection and have been put on oral and cream antibiotics. I never realized how important sanitation was until now and how painful something like this can be. I truly hope Magic Nails will do something about their cleanliness and sterilization going forward.

I have been to this location before back when I was living in the area, and was happy, but now I moved back home and got my nails done here and I'm very displeased. Upon coming in I didn't see any menus for their service.... so when I got called in to do my pedicure I didn't know the cost information until I sat down. I asked if they do SNS nails which is also called nail dipping. The lady next to said they did..... I'm like well that's good. I ruined my toe nails as I was walking to the manicure station because no one pulled the seat out for me and I accidentally kicked the table, literally jamming my toes. Ouch. When they fixed it, they didn't double coat it, so 3 nails were lighter than the other toes. Anyways- back to the nails, the nail tech was going so fast I thought she was going to hurt me. She was filing soooo fast I could feel the heat off of the nail filler. She told me that they pride themselves in serving a higher client and that's why they charge so much..... uhhhh well fine but where the quality of work if you're going to be serving a higher client. I didn't like the way she did my nails. I ended up fixing them myself. I won't be back.

    Amazing right?

The negative reviews only show that you can't satisfy every customer. Someone is always going to complain about something stupid. i've been coming here for years as well as other magic nails chains, and not once have I been disappointed. Find the nail tech that suits you best, and stick to them. I personally love Thai, but everyone there does a great job! Nana does great eyelashes as well! I walk out of there satisfied every time, and guess what? You get what you pay for! Which is quality. In my opinion, best nail place around!

I looked all through Joliet and no one was able to do my nails the way I wanted them. I went all the way to countryside and I was not disappointed, I love them worth the drive.

    No chip with chrome

The place looks very warm and welcoming. The girl that did my pedicure was very nice but the girl that did my nails wasn't very pleasant. I had asked her for some samples of the chromes they had available and without even trying to look she just said "we don't have any" my sister then asked around and after doing a little looking she found the samples. They have an amazing selections of colors but my nail broke 2 days after getting them done. They happily fixed the nail with proof of receipt. About 2 days after another nail broke. My nails were done last Friday (March 22), a little over a week and 2 nails broke, my no chip is visibly chipping, and my mom got a dip done and her nails also chipped. Nice spot but for $65 and $45 my nails should not be breaking or chipping so soon. Update: another nail broke while I was taking my clothes out the laundry. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Just one example of her freestyling and no, the leopard nail isn't a sticker, she painted that

The nail tech I'm familiar with went from another shop, to this location. And needless to say, she's that awesome and kind that I'd follow her just about anywhere. When Monica does my nails, there's no lifting, no breaking and I constantly get compliments on my nails. Monica is so sweet that anything you ask for, she will do; and if she can't she will practice and do it for you in the future. Her attention to detail is spot on. Magic Nails lucked up on a hard working, dedicated employee.

I got a gel (aka no chip) french manicure and am very happy with it. They take walk-ins and I got there shortly after opening and Young got started on my nails right away. Good work, great prices, and really friendly staff!

I was looking for an affordable easy place to get a mani pedi with my mom before a trip and booked here. I wish I looked at the prices. My gel manicure and normal pedicure was $90 and my mom's normal mani pedi was $60 - $150 for us both. I was absolutely flabbergasted by these prices. Would these prices be ok at a fancy salon in a spa, yes. Are these prices ok at Lee nails, which is a small little shop, all the towels look so dirty and worn, the nail polish is old and the mani pedi itself is mediocre at best. Both my mom and my pedis chipped within the same week as getting them! These prices were outrageous for the quality of the salon. The workers are nice, but they love to talk. I was hoping to relax not chat the whole time. Once I got the bill, I wished I did more research. Please trust me on this, there are many other places you can find a better mani pedi for cheaper. Avoid at all costs.

Skill set could be improved. Honestly, the employees were nice. I enjoyed the pedicure, it was…read moregood. First things first though, when I got in I explained how I wanted my old set removed and wanted a new set and pedicure. They sit me at a station, I show my nail inspo picture and (i forget his name) is looking at my nails and explaining to me that I should just get a fill, that my previous set still looks good and I would save money. So after going back and forth a little I settled and was convinced that I'll keep what I have and get the fill. He efiles off my previous no chip polish and we go do the pedicure. No complaints on the pedicure other than the paint job and nail cutting. We go back to his nail station he preps the nails and he filed off some of the old acrylic as well as filing down my previous almond shaped nails to square shape. He then applies new acrylic and gets started on painting. As seen in the inspiration photo, two nails are French tip. The first coat of polish for the French tip he did was this clear with a hint of pink. He got done with one hand and had me go under the light to cure while starting the next hand.. When that was done I took my hand out to check how the work came out and I expressed to him how the base color for the French tip is too light, that I can see a harsh line from my old acrylic to the new acrylic he applied for the fill. He told me at least 3 times, "you can't see it" and tried to apply the same colored coat to show me it's covering it up. (When it wasn't) That is ultimately what made me suggest just doing my whole hand one color, but not the whole reason. His French tip, wasn't even really a French tip.. it hardly had any curve to it and it was super thick on the sides and just abruptly stopped, it didn't flow or taper off down the sides. (Which I was willing to live with) The last thing that made me completely switch what I wanted was the ring finger, the curved line that he applied to my nail was super thick and just nothing like the inspo pic. I am all for getting my nails done in the realm of what the nail tech can do. I showed him my inspo pic and he never mention he couldn't do it, I would have happily done something more simple if needed. We both spent extra time in his chair fixing/redoing something that may have been able to be avoided. Lastly which is what really made me want to make this review is the quality of the paint job. My nails are so thick and uneven it's crazy. I'm not sure if that's partially due to the acrylic application/filing or if it's more so how thick he applied the no chip. Outside of that, on multiple nails the no chip is on top of my cuticle or off to the side onto my skin. I can already tell at least 2 of the nails he did are going to start peeling up near my nail bed and my hair will get caught underneath and pulled out due to his application. I paid $110 before tip for a no chip pedicure, fill with no chip, and cuticle cut and it was definitely not worth it. I went to this salon because the reviews I seen online were all so good, I had high hopes. Sucks that this was the experience I got.
