Wonderful ladies here! A group of 5 of us came here for a friends bday. We called ahead and made the reservation. All went well. I even inquired on brining some snacks and beverages, the owner was more than accommodating. She even helped me set up. She also mentioned that for bachelorette and bridal gatherings you can bring your group here and they can provide the snacks and drinks. How fun! My nails turned out fantastic. I got a no chip mani and a regular pedicure. They turned out perfectly! They were gentle on my cuticles as I have some sensitive areas. The colors look great and the nails are smooth with no chips. Took my girlfriend recently and it's just no let's start with the items they look just nasty and this is overpriced just for the nails to be looking bulky and shaped all types of shapes and what I mean by this is that some nails on her fingers were like a whole circle like LITERALLY a whole" O" n that' circle is in the middle of the nail not even the top and they even made me pay 5 more dollars for the length I wanted just for another lady to take over and file it down so I had to pay for something I basically didn't get secondly they take so long just for horrible results not worth it first time here and last time never coming back here and don't recommend. So today I was waiting at my go to place Luv Nails at 11am to get a medi-pedi, by 11:07 the place was still locked up with more and more people showing up at the door that I decided to just search around the area on Yelp for the nearest Nail salon and I'm so glad I did because I was able to find this place. Upon entering I was greeted by 2 woman, I asked for pricing on a medi-pedi and they quoted me $35 for both. Kelly escorted me to the back and started up my foot spa, the back area is kind of a storage area looking and their pedi spas are a little outdated but did the job. I had one of the best experiences with this pedi, she took her time and massaged my legs for longer than usual and I'm glad she did because I really needed it. I love the hot towel they put on your legs afterwards, not a lot of places do that. My toes looked great. As for my manicure it was just as great as my pedicure. She took time and that hand massage llllllllllloved it. I hate feeling rushed at a nail salon and I didn't not feel rushed here at all. Nails looked great!! Horrible manicure. Ok pedicure. Dip nail polish is only in clear and my nails broke immediately after getting them done. And it was $35 for manicure and $35 for pedicure. So $70 plus tip for a bad manicure and ok pedi. Owner was nice and accommodated that I was in a bit of a hurry. However, I went expecting color powder dip only to find they only have clear. Owner apologized but dont know how she left that detail out. If u r looking for a spa like experience this is not it. read more

I am surprised by the poor rating. I have been going to Patty for several years. Her old shop was in Western Springs. Her shop in La Grange is brand new, very bright with most of the equipment being new, including two big screen TVs. There are over 360 colors to choose from, with a choice of several brands. Each time I am greeted very warmly by her mother and aunt as is everyone else. Patty has taken care of my nails for a long time. I have had no problems with the health of my hands or feet since I began dealing with her. I find this of the utmost importance. I have had to go to other technicians when I am out of town. On several occasions, Patty has taken extra time to correct what others have neglected to do. In fact three weeks ago, she spent a long time working on my cuticles without charging extra. I have had many, many compliments on my mani and pedis and have often been questioned as to where I get my nails done. I will continue to recommend her to others. read more

Great service! I get my nails done every two weeks. I usually mix up my salons just to explore. I really enjoyed Patty's service because it was TAILORED TO ME. By that I mean throughout the manicure (gel full set) she asked me: -what shape nail i like -if the length was good (several times throughout) -if I wanted gel coat under or over color - and shared this made a difference if I had plans to repaint my own nails -if my cuticles looked okay. This attention to detail impressed me because I could tell she cared. Checking in with your client goes a long way in my book. It was my first time there and she made small talk and elaborated when I wanted to but wasn't too pushy. Friendly staff overall. Well priced for the service I received. Nails were never completely filed and finished so I have pieces of nail glue falling off, filings stuck under nails, crooked nails, no consistent nail shape, polish with bubbles underneath and some nails where polish doesn't event go all the way to the side of the nail or down to the cuticle. I recommend going elsewhere in the area....anywhere but here. There are plenty of nails salons in thet area, avoid this place! I booked a manicure for myself and two daughters on a Tuesday, and they were happy to book us despite clearly not being equipped to have customers. We came in and there was one person working the entire salon, so we each had to wait our turn to get manicures. This is fine. She took about 3 minutes on my 7 year old, just painted her nails - nothing else (even though I paid for a full kid's manicure at the end - which includes all the standard stuff - EVEN says a nail "design" HA not even close). Then she had her sit at the dryer for basically an eternity, while she did my 9 year old's nails, then mine. For my 9 year old she did one extra step (filed and lotion) but did NOT include the standard things included in a manicure. I was kind of put off that she thought they didn't deserve more than 3 minutes of (very minimal) pampering at full cost? I wasn't expecting much, but this fell FAR below even my lowest expectations. I got my nails done this day too, because I assumed all 3 of us would have a mom/daughter day and get manicures at or around the same time. Fine, didn't happen. Then when I went to pay after spending WAY too long waiting around in this very blah place, and she said (for the first time) her card machine was down and she only took Zelle. She insisted I pay her the money to her personal Zelle account and gave me her personal cell #. Very odd. I tipped cash, was just looking to pay the $50 fee on my card. She didn't mention this at the onset? Or she didn't mention during booking that there would be no technicians working? (She clearly wasn't a regular at doing nails). I am a walk in and was pleased that they could take me right away. I have been to very hygienic and clean salons so this was nothing comparable. The technician was doing a pedicure and I began to bleed. She did not acknowledge that I was bleeding or make sure it was okay to put glue on it to make it stop. I will not be returning. read more

The service was awful, I walked in with about 10 other girls, knowing that they would say they wouldn't be able to handle it and have if our group would have to go to another salon, but the woman at the front desk said she could take all of us. I was surprised, but then I realized there was no one else in the salon. I got dip, and about 5 of my other friends did, and it's completely awful. Shitty job to say the least, already chipped! They ask you to pay and tip before you get polish, so it was too late to ask for a refund. I've gotten dip before and this was nothing like it. Not only was it super unsanitary, the woman doing my nails cut my finger and didn't say anything. After getting the "dip" I was sent over to another girl, and she painted two coats not even coving my finger. She missed several spots, and after she asked me to go sit down to dry my nails, I asked for her to do it again, for I could see right through it. Overall my nails which I paid $35 for are awful, and I will never return to Nailz 4 U, nor will I ever recommend it. I went here for the first time today. It was a very short wait. The salon & tools were clean. The staff was friendly and the pedicure excellent and the prices very reasonable. They have the standard massage chairs. There is a huge free parking lot just next to here and the train stop is a block away. This will be my go-to salon. read more

I first went there about 2wks ago because I was in desperate need of one before a date and it was right next to my work. As soon as I walked in they got straight to business. I got a mani-pedi. Normally other salons somewhat rush either the manicure or pedicure part so they can be done faster, my technician took her time and the end result was absolutely PERFECT!!! What I also liked was the fact that my technician actually wanted to talk and have a conversation. Instead of talking to the other girls while I read a magazine or something we talked the entire time. I would give this 5 stars but I can't because when I went in there 2 days ago the nail technician I got was the exact opposite of who I had the first time. This is a cute nail salon tucked it on the side streets of downtown La Grange! It is clean, everyone is friendly, and I've been lucky enough to get the same employee for two pedicures back to back and she has been amazing. Checked out nail place. It has great reviews. However, I am picky. She is doing my nails now. The wax station is super messy, cluttered. I am looking a couple cabinets with a brown cut up Apple on it and other bagged snacks. One of the Pedi carts has a bunch of dirty files. A bunch of nail polish should be thrown out. You don't get to hold remote for massage chair cause it might fall in?. All remotes are wrapped in Saran wrap. Cleaning products are out everywhere, but i dont think they are used very often. She uses a fabric softened bottle to dispose of nail polish removed cotton, which isnt bad, but looks horrible having it at each station. Ohh I think she just grabbed a dirty file for my toes. I think I will stick to place at 83 and plainfield. The plastic plants are covered in dust. Bottoms of black chairs are dusty. Magazines pulled everywhere. The place needs a face list and some major cleaning before I could go back. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD AT A NAIL SALON. Horrible customer service, dirty salon, and barely any colors to choose from. I recently got a "no chip mani" from the salon "manager" named Patty. She did the sloppiest job on my nails (e.g. didn't trim my cuticles, refused to shorten my lengthy nails when I asked her to, didn't fully remove the previous polish) and her UV lamp was broke so my nails didn't even seal! Isn't that the point of a no chip manicure? To top it off, as soon as I told her the color didn't look right on my nails and that I would pay for the inconvenience of having to remove what I didn't like, she began to speak in a rather aggravated tone to her employees (that of which I couldn't understand), glaring at me every chance she could. Can you say uncomfortable? After having her re-do my nails twice, she continued to charge me full price, adding that if "anything happened to come back, no charge". YEAH RIGHT, I would never step foot in there again. Granted, if you are interested in "permanent make-up" or other miscellaneous services, they also do that! What an odd shop. I should have noticed something was off when the women ahead of me left without paying for her pedicure and manicure and didn't come back. Good for her! read more

The manis and pedis are adequate, but the place is dirty with questionable sanitation on both tools and pedi baths. Patti, the owner, is unbelievably rude, asks rude personal questions, and generally has a bad attitude. Don't let her do your nails as she gives the worst service in the place: rushed & sloppy. I was greeted, told there was a special for the two and quoted a great price. Jack did both and I received fabulous treatment. The shop was clean, well organized, and I certainly received prompt service. There were other customers there when I arrived and more came in while I was there. It is definitely a family-run business and Jack admitted he was not related, but that did not diminish the good service, prompt service, and friendly people. I will not hesitate to return. read more

My niece got married in August and I was looking for a salon that would be able to take at least 8 people for manicures and pedicures the Thursday before the wedding, everyone I called could not help me, then I called Nailz 4 u in Lagrange, IL and spoke to Patty the owner and she was more than happy to make this work for me, We ended up with a total of 9 people (the Bride, the Groom, Mother of the Bride, Maid of Honor, etc) We all met at 10:00 am and they started working on us immediately. They had Mimosa's and snacks for us, I wanted to have nice experience and they delivered, they made us feel so welcome and all the ladies were great. I also wanted to mention I received the best manicure from Patty the owner, 2 days later the day of the wedding my manicure was still as fresh as the day I left the salon. I love the "protein nails" at Nailz 4 You. This is the first and only salon I have found that does nail dipping with a powder that is actually good for your nails. I have HORRIBLE nails - very short and brittle. The protein nails are helping me to grow healthy nails. The service is efficient, friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this salon! read more
