I had some time to kill in downtown LaGrange and came across Nail Station when dropping off mail at the post office. On a whim I walked in to see if they could accommodate a walk in appointment. For $15 plus tip I got a nice basic manicure using OPI nail polish. I noticed they also offer Dazzle, gel and powder dip options. They take credit cards for payment. I provided a cash tip so I don't know if tips can be added to a credit card payment. My only reason for not giving a five star rating is due to the decor. The walls are painted a bright gold and burgundy which I don't find to be a relaxing color combination. If you are looking for a quick manicure I definitely recommend Nail Station. read more

Susie took me in very last minute with a no chip manicure and she shaped my nails very well and helped me pick out a color. Will be seeing her again! The inside of the salon was relaxing. read more

Called ahead. Was glad they could take me on a Sunday with no appt. After asking what service I was there for, the woman said nothing from start through payment. No greeting, smile, eye contact, thank you...nothing. Bare minimum for shaping, cleaning, cuticles, etc. Straight manicure started at 1:07 completed at 1:26 including dry time. Not a good vibe at all. I won't be back. read more

Do not go here for dip manicure. Came here as a back up because my usual place was closed. They cannot and should not offer dip. It was so uneven and did not cover my nails fully, she was going to apply gel over top of it. read more

Loved our experience here. Everyone came out with their nails looking fabulous. The hot stone massage was definitely my favorite part. The chairs you sit in while you get your pedicure are super comfortable and their color selection was huge! I'd definitely come back here. read more

The lady that works there is SO rude. Very disorganized. Wouldn't recommend. We went down the street to Luv Nails and it was wonderful!

The lady who did my no chip manicure acted like I was inconveniencing her. My Polish chipped within a week.

I can't believe this place has been here the whole time and I never thought to try it out. What a lovely experience. The staff was attentive, detailed, and courteous. We got mani/pedis and the pedis included a free hot stone massage. And when I say massage, I mean it. Very, very friendly staff that treats you with care. Great service. read more

Another great nail salon experience. I love this place. Joe and Suzie are courteous , timely do a great job. You always get a great hot stone neck and back treatment during you manicure. No chips will last 2 -3 weeks if you take care. Quiet salon. Appointments are recommended. Small staff so it can get pretty busy on weekends. read more

Massage with my pedi? Yes please!!! It was pretty thorough and strong, and included hot stone massage in addition to a thorough one with hands. Oil smelled good but there was a lot of it so beware what pants you wear (they take it off at the end with a hot towel #winning). Just FYI: I asked for a chair massage and pedi - they wanted the pedi first. Good selection of colors (OPI and Essie). Also - totally "first world" of me, but I like that it's quiet in the salon. That the staff didn't talk to me (but smiled and were warm). They had a surprising skill of tapping the legs / feet to tell me how/when/where to put feet. I overheard one staff member answer the phone, "hiiiiii Adrienne!" which is cool (that they know clients). And seemed she booked an appt - thus they offer that as well as walkins. They let me pay with credit card and tip on it too. (You don't write in tip - they ask for it before they run the card.) Chair massage was good. "Asian" in the sense that it's hard and thorough and they press on base of neck, which can be a little disconcerting. I am sensitive to males massaging and I felt he was respectful of my body and his space in it - if you know what I mean. Prices were awesome!! $1 per min chair massage and $25 pedi - woah! Only thing - not saying there isn't one but I didn't see a sterilizer for the tools. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The salon is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The work is meticulous. The prices are comperable to others in the area, yet the customer service and overall experience are far superior. Plus, they can ususally acommodate a same day appointment! read more

Amazing nail place. The people who own it are so kind and welcoming. They will do massages with hot stones and if you have to wait they'll give you a back massage. Independently owned and just a very quaint adorable nail place. I don't go anywhere else!! On Christmas they gave us sheet masks for Christmas gifts. How nice was that?? Can't say enough great things. read more

Want to relax ? This is my place . Great music , nicest people and excellent services.

Avoid this salon. Recently had a manicure. After being done, and it looked terrible I asked if they could fix the edges of my skin as it was completely messy. Insisting that it would wash off in a couple days, they said to leave it. I requested them to take it off so I could have a decent manicure somewhere else and they said they would charge me. read more

Was able to essentially walk in for a mani pedi. They had a process down for working with multiple customers at once. The hot stone massage was a very welcomed bonus. Good measures being taken for covid. read more

Not very happy. I made an appointment for a COLOR CHANGE on both my toes and nails. This place doesn't have a website, but I found that a color change was $7 on some other websites that had reviews and their prices. Those prices must have been old because when I went to pay for my COLOR CHANGE, I was told it was $25. That's $10 less than an actual mani and pedi ($35) that I should have just spent on to get the actual mani/pedi treatment. When I had asked her about it, no explanation. I went in thinking I was going to spend $14 today, walked out paying $25 for COLOR CHANGE treatment. Two stars, my nails came out nice but ridiculous experience. Don't make the mistake I made and double check they know and YOU know the prices before going. I don't plan on coming back here again. read more

Hands down worst nail service I have ever gotten. I don't even feel like I had anything done to my desperate for TLC soles or cuticles. Other than the nail polish, my feet look and feel exactly as they did when I came in. My first complaint is that all the dead skin is still on the soles of my feet. Other than a totally pathetic, like warm scrub with a pumice stone there was no attempt to remove the dead skin or callouses. When I inquired about this, they said they don't do anything else at all. I've been to nail shops where they will use foot files and other hand held buffers to exfoliate. Apparently, nothing like that exists here?? Also, they didn't tackle my cuticles at all. I don't know if it had to do with two separate people working on my feet (they kept switching) that this huge oversight happened. I basically paid $25 for a nail polish change which makes me so angry. Lastly, the nail shop has an extremely strong and unpleasant smell. I had to breathe through my mouth the whole entire time I was here. Needless to say, I'd be giving this place zero stars if I could and believe me when I say I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK. read more

I've been to all of the nail salons in La Grange and this is my favorite one. It's a peaceful, clean environment, and they do a more thorough job with mani/pedis than the other ones I've been to. I love the hot stone massage! Parking is very easy which is always a plus, too. read more

I have been going to nail station for several years periodically and it is such a treat and is affordable. With manicures a short massage is given to upper back shoulders and neck including hot stones. Pedicures also include a hot stone leg massage. Joe is the master massager and was trained in medical massage ( I believe he told me once) in Korea where he is from. Suzy is the main queen of manicures and is always cheerful and detail oriented. Appointments are preferred over walk ins though I usually just call for a same day appointment. I always feel good about giving this place business and I leave feeling pampered and ready to return to my busy life. I do agree with another reviewer that the decor needs updating, the colors are clashing and not relaxing. read more

Great extras thrown in. Great service. Hot stone massage with mani and pedi. Fast and efficient.

I've never had my nails done. But the chair massage is magical. Joe, the masseuse, is a wizard. At $1/min can't be beat!

I went in recently and got a manicure. Lucky me, I got a hot stone massage as well. So enjoyable and affordable. I think the bad reviews from years ago may have been when it was under different management. I really like the couple that work there now. Very kind. Glad to see this place doing well again. It was a staple of mine years go. read more

After trying just about every nail salon in the area, I decided to give Nail Station a go. Whoa, what a find!!! The salon offers an absolutely fabulous hot stone mini massage with their regular manicures and pedicures, at no extra charge. The salon plays relaxing music, rather than blaring reality tv shows; in fact, there are no TVs in the place. If you want to get away and really relax while you get your nails done, try Nail Salon, you will not be disappointed!! read more

I love their mani pedi special Only for $29.It is always clean and staff is nice and will do anything to accommodate your time, even giving a mani/pedi at the same time if I am short on time. They are very careful to have nails looking great and polish seems to last a long time. I would highly recommend. read more

Nail Station & Spa - Color!! - Nail Salons Near Me - La Grange, Illinois

In 2014 I have them 5 stars. I'm genuinely sorry to say that the experience here has severely diminished. Now it is an assembly line experience where the 3 employees take as many customers as they can at once and do multiple mani pedis at the same time so that there is no more personal experience and you have to wait over an hour to complete your mani or pedi. Why? 1 staff member is working on 3 or 4 customers at once. I got so tired of arriving and being the only one worked on by 1 staff member only to have people walk in and have that staff member stop my service and start on two other people's service before getting back to me - I stopped going. Try Broken Nail across the street or the new Pink Caviar in downtown Brookfield where one person works on ONLY YOU until your service is done before moving to the next customer. read more

I have been going to this place regularly for several months. I usually get a pedicure and no chip manicure. Every pedicure and no chip comes with a wonderful hot rock massage which would be an additional cost at most places. My no chips always last the normal two weeks. I'm not sure when all of the poor reviews are from but it looks like they are from before the current owners and the most recent seems to just be pushing another business. Give this place a shot - you won't regret it! read more

I just moved from the city and was looking for a nail place and this is it! No, it's not as fancy as some other places with their flatscreens but this place is great value. The chairs are wonderful, there's a hot stone massage, and they don't skip on the massage parts--it's honestly so relaxing and needed! I've gotten only no chip manis and regular pedis and both have been done very well. Really love this place and would recommend. read more

Best Nail Salon ever, the music is soo relaxing, the staff is so welcoming and the hot stone massage with manicure is unbelievable! I also recommend the personal hot stone massage so heavenly! I would not go anywhere else for my manicure and pedicure!! read more

I love this place dearly! I've gone here for 10 years. I'll never go anywhere else. Joe and Suzie are so kind. The stone massages during manis and pedis is amazing. I leave feeling totally relaxed. read more

Oh my!!!! What a transformation this place has undergone. New management?! Idk?! But it is cleaner with friendly staff. The BEST and MOST IMPORTANT part of the change is the amazing pedicure. I've never ever had a pedicure like this!!! A woman started and did all the scrubbing and trimming of toenails, then a very kind and calm man came over to do a massage of my calves and feet! Oh. And before he showed up, the woman had done a salt scrub up and down my calves. The man proceeded to do a massage with oils. THEN.....HOT ROCKS were rubbed around up and down my calves and bottoms of my feet and arches. Truly the best massage ever. Then the woman returned to do the polish. I can't wait to go back and next time I'm getting manicure, too! Most shocking part?! They charged same or less than any salon in area! read more

I had my nails done 3 days ago and they are still perfect- no chips, no scratches. It should be noted I'm a hands on person, scrubbed my dishes by hand minus gloves- even with Ajax which I was sure would remove some of the nail color, did some yard work, chemical cleaning... yep, it's all good!! read more

I didn't love this place. The women were not very friendly, it smelled like food, and it didn't seem to be very clean. My manicure itself was fine, but I like to have nice ambience while I get it. I probably won't be back. read more

The two employees spoke to each other nonstop in another language, made very little eye contact w me, and the one working on my pedi was so into her convo that she nicked my toe! Will never go back. read more

I came in without an appointment and though two women had just walked in ahead of me, I was taken right away (all three of us were). Two different people worked on me--assembly line style, but that was absolutely no bother to me as I was constantly attended to. The hot stone foot and leg massage was hands down the best I've ever had outside of a day spa. The place was clean and cute too. To top it all off, they let me sit in the massage chair until my nails dried so I could get some extra good feels. I am super relaxed, and my toes look great too. I'll definitely be back. read more

I don't know what all the bad reviews are. I go here almost every week for the last 6 months or so for a manicure or pedicure and they always do a great job. Always get in quickly and get in and out, which I like. They also do a few minute hot stone back massage with a manicure, or a hot stone leg massage with a pedicure. Love going there and I get cranky if I can't get there for some reason! read more

Divine foot massage. Great value and personal attention to my feet and hands. Visiting from out of town but cannot wait to come back!!!

The worst pedi ever!!! The older gentleman started the pedi with Freezing water. When I alerted him, he barely adjusted the temperature. My feet were barely wet when started my service. He cleaned my nails and cuticles in 60secs. He barely removed all of the old polish. The exfoliation took 60secs. The foot and leg massage was 5mins. Then, the older lady came to trim my nails and cuticles, and polish. Oh, but before she did, she had to remove the old polish. I will not be going back. read more

Got a mani here and neck shoulder massage on a whim when I had some down time during the day - AMAZING! The place is basic but the service was great. Got a good manicure and fantastic massage that was way above and beyond my expectations and other nail salons I've been to in both LaGrange are and downtown Chicago. Will def be back!! read more

I've tried thus place twice, and both times, very unimpressed. The prices here are very slightly less than magic nails, which is where I prefer to go and will continue to go. This time around, I waited 25 minutes even though I had an appointment. And this was just for a manicure. After the manicure was done, they put a fan on my nails and every nail got very bubbly. When I said something and asked if they could fix it, they fix the two worst, and left the rest. So after wasting over an hour of time, I have a terrible looking manicure to show for it. Never again will I make the mistake. Spend the extra five bucks on whichever service you want, and go to magic nails. read more
