Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience here. I made an appointment online with a particular manicurist that had good ratings. I arrived and waited a few minutes to be assigned a different manicurist. No one asked if this was okay. The manicurist was on a video call with someone in her earbuds half the time I was there. Didn't converse at all outside of answering my few questions with a brief answer. My nails were done fairly but unfortunately didn't last more than a week to 10 days and this was a gel manicure. Overall, it was not the friendliest or professional environment. I can't recommend them. read more

They're racist to people who don't speak Spanish. The owner treats her employees horribly. There is always new people working here. They charge you 50% of the service if you cancel your appointment, they ask you for your card information when making the appointment. I went in for a pedicure when I called I was very specific on what I wanted and needed. Once I sat on chair I told her again what I wanted and needed the tech stated she had no time. Today was my first time visiting this salon. They were very professional, welcoming and accommodating. The salon was very well decorated and clean. Brisa was very friendly and made sure my nails were to my liking every step of they way. She did a fantastic job. I look forward to partaking in other services as this is a full service salon even offering brazillian waxes. They have gained a new customer. The staff at Glam Studio and Spa are professional and friendly. Their service is a little pricey but I always thought good value..until today. I made an appointment for a wax for lip/chin and eyebrow. I usually just do a thread and tint but needed hair removal in all 3 areas and figured it's the same price so why not. I've waxed for 12 years at various places and never had an issue, no bad reaction, no rashes, burns, etc. again until today. Half the length of my skin under my right brow is what I consider burned, what the esthetician Lorena says is "lifted" (as in my skin lifted) as well as two small dots on my chin. I understand salon workers cannot control how a patients body reacts to their products. However, this is not a result of a skin reaction. The wax was obviously too hot. Again I've been waxing for 12 years and never had an issue. What makes me the most upset is she didn't say anything to me about it. It wasn't until I got into the car and got a closer look in the mirror that I noticed. I went back inside and pointed out my eyebrow to her. I really liked supporting a salon that was Latina owned and operated. However, I can't go back here with full confidence again. Glam Studio if you read this, please contact me. This business is prejudice and RACIST against black customers. The front desk employee with short hair is entirely unprofessional. I had gotten a full acrylic set previously and the nail technician seemed to not speak much English. She however chose to speak Spanish to another nail technician in front of me and criticized my natural nail length and never questioned that I myself understand speak Spanish. I speak full English and Spanish and it was highly racist and unprofessional of this nail technician to assume that she could get away with speaking badly of me as a customer in Spanish. If you are a black person I highly do NOT recommend coming to this establishment because of their unprofessionalism. They also are overpriced for average service. Will not be returning. read more

It's really a cute place but way over priced 40$ for a basic pedicure which really would cost 25$ somewhere else (and probably done better too). I also had a wax and the whole thing was extremely painful the tech was extremely inexperienced and left me covered in wax when I left. I will not be back. read more

First off I'm disappointed in myself for giving this place so many chances. If you are a darker toned latina please let them know you speak spanish or they will treat you as I assume they treat all women of color and talk shit about you right in front of you. The front desk rep is dry & rude she's always scattered and disorganized like she doesn't understand how to use her own computer. The nail technicians are nice but very under educated. Not sure if they are even licensed. The front desk chic with the short hair rushes the nails techs and she talks to you as if you were a child always bothering her. She also doesn't wear her mask. She will ask you to wash your hands before your nail technicians are ready to serve you meaning you go back to sit on that dirty couch after you just disinfected your hands. She'll catch an attitude if you don't do it right away too I was offended many time by their colorism and lack of sensibility to people who don't speak any spanish. They lack experience and act very different towards women of color. This was supposed to be a shop for all women of color seems to me it's only for Mexicans and I'm also latina but of darker skin tone. So they assumed I was just a "black girl". They spoke in front of me in spanish about black women coming in asking for a polish change but not wanting to pay for the full soak off service while denying me the addition to my already manicure appointment. When she was done I explained to them in spanish and english that they were extremely rude unprofessional and racially offensive to me. By assuming I would not want to pay for all the services I asked for. Because I appeared to them to be one of those "Black girls" that didn't want to pay before. I explained to them that it's wrong for them to put all black women in a category because of a few customers before. They of course refused to take responsibility saying that I took it the wrong way. I agreed to disagree and continued on to get my nails painted. I should've left but I was afraid they would still charge me and believe me they are pricey. The next day I got a call that I could not return to the shop because they didn't like they way I spoke to them. When all I did was speak up for myself and all women of color that don't speak spanish. So if you're a woman of color who believes that all women of all races deserve equal treatment and respect don't come here. As Black Latina I will never accept this crap any longer I don't care how nice your shop may look. Your service is shit!! read more

Went to go get a full set no chip. Showed them an amazing picture, said that they could do it for $55. I sat in the chair for 2 hours straight to get a full set made by someone who doesn't know how to. I didn't like the results so I told her. She got mad and made one nail an inch shorter than all the others. Never coming here again. read more

I decided to check this place out after being disappointed constantly by your run of the mill nail salons that rush to get you done to move on to the next person. The first person to greet me was very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was relaxing and they were playing great music. The inside of the salon is beautiful and meticulously clean.
