This nail salon claims that they take appointments, however I made an appointment this morning at 9:45am only to get there to 4 people already being serviced. then when I walk in the older lady is telling me she's busy I need to make an a appointment to which I explain to her that I have a n appointment, she totally ignores that and tells me i need to come back at noon. Now I know that there is no way they should have 4 clients already in there being serviced seeing that they just opened at 9am so I'm sure they allowed walk-ins this morning but are asking me to leave and come back for an appointment that I scheduled. Stopped by this place today for the first time in a while. I didn't have an appointment, but they told me to come back at 2:00. I came back and had to wait a bit past 2:00, but you know what? IT WAS SO WORTH IT. This was the best pedicure I have had in a long while. I didn't catch the ladies name, but she took her time shaping my nails and exfoliating my feet. Real attention was given to my feet and hands and it was so dang refreshing! I'm so tired of rush em in and out nail salons, and this is NOT one of those! I went in on Sunday, wasn't too busy and I've been to this establishment before and was taken care of by a sweet old lady. She was gentle and kind. However when I stopped by on Sunday I was taken care of by the only man working in the salon. He did not talk much but he was more rough while doing my pedicure. He did in fact cut my skin twice on my big toe and one of my smaller ones. The cut was made with the sander, not a drill. I told him that he hurt me and he did not apologize. Just proceeded to put some blue solution to my skin. The hygiene that he had was very questionable. Using a nail file to clean off the dead skin and nails off the table then proceeded to put the same filer with the others. Throughout my mani-pedi he would be huffing and puffing as if it was a burden to do my nails. He would push my hand or tap on it very often as if my other fingers were in his way. I also will add that he had me dip my hands into a bowl of acetone instead of removing my old no chip with tin foil or cotton pads. I came out with two cuts and my nails being very very thin. I was very sad and frustrated walking out and my nails are definitely not the same. I do not recommend getting taken care of by him. read more

I have been going to this nail shop for some time and as always I get it no one is perfect on what you want but this has gone to far for them to now say that it's my fingers????? What????? My fingers are the issue ????? Here is the picture I showed her what I wanted and this is what I got yet they want to tell me why didn't I tell her.. that's her job not mine but I know I won't go there anymore sad because I liked the owner and her mom but they charge too much for not doing what I asked for... I would spend another dollar here especially them saying I'm the problem when the nail tech (Nancy) was shown the picture of what I wanted length and all and all they keep saying is color... color has nothing to do with it if they can't see the problem then u will be the problem so sad.. plus they need to upgrade the shop so filthy and dusty. *** UPDATE*** The owner reached out to me and was able to squeeze me in today to get my Mani fixed. Thanks to the lovely nail technician who did a nice job with my french Mani. The rating of 4 is because the owner actually reached out and apologized and offered to fix the Mani and was able to squeeze me in asap. First time coming here and definitely won't be coming back. I came in as a walk in for a Mani/pedi and I was taken right away which was nice. I wanted french pedi and an ombre french Mani. The man that did my Mani/pedi kept to himself and made me bleed from my toe. Then he told me "No" to my ombre french Mani and I asked why he said he didn't know how to do it. I personally think he should have not taken me as a client if he didn't know how to do a french ombre but I felt like he was rushed because more clients were walking in. I noticed that the new polish that was applied bubbled on my nails but was told that was ok for a service I am paying. He didn't try to fix it nor apologized. I have been coming here for a couple of months to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, and they've been treating my face well! When I stopped biting my nails, I started coming here for no chip manicures as well. They do a great job with both! I'm so happy I found this place so close to home. Will definitely keep coming back! So I'm updating this review. This happened several months ago. I came to get my face waxed, and when they did my chin, she waxed the same big portion twice with the same amount of wax and the same force. It felt weird and waxy afterwards, and then the next two days it started to get splotchy and raw like in the photo. I had to go to a wedding two days later, so I just had to deal with the raw, sensitive, pink skin. I haven't gone back since. While their no chip service was decent, this ruined my experience here. I made an appointment over the phone for a Friday for 1pm. When my friend and I arrived, we told them we had booked an appointment and they told us immediately to pick a color. Didn't look up our information to confirm or anything. Luckily it wasn't crowded and they were able to service us quickly. It's a clean, nicely decorated nail salon. They have two huge TV screens on the opposite sides. The lady who did my Mani/pedi did a pretty good job with massages and painting my nails. The cost of the mani/pedi was $35. When it was time to pay, I showed them the yelp check in deal for $5 off of $35 for ANY service. One other lady rudely said it only applies to no-chip. I showed her what it said on yelp and good thing another lady pitched in and clarified that the deal applied to ANY service. So $30 for Mani/pedi is a good deal, wish that all staff members knew that so it wouldn't have caused that confusion. read more

Came here for the first time last Sunday to treat myself to a no-chip manicure before starting a new job Monday. I didn't get the gentleman's name, unfortunately, but he said he only works on Sundays. He was very nice and friendly, and my nails looked beautiful! I waited a week to review just to see how the no-chip would really hold up, and they're still looking wonderful, aside from the inevitable new nail growth since my nails grow incredibly fast. I've gone here twice now and am overall unsatisified. I was excited to try here since it's close to home and had such great reviews, but my experiences have left me searching for somewhere else to go. On my first visit, I got a regular pedi ($25) and a no chip mani ($30). The pedicure itself was mostly nice, but they only used one coat of paint on my toes, and while it initially looked great, it chipped after 2 weeks (I haven't been doing a ton of exercise or anything damaging to my feet either). The no chip was also a weird experience. The color I chose had a brush that looked like a 3 year old smashed it down on a piece of paper- the bristles where pointing every which direction! They swapped the brush out for a new one, but the new one seemed to keep picking up pieces of lint or something and they kept having to remove and repaint areas. I was surprised they looked as nice as they did when the appointment was over. Since everything looked ok and the mani held up for 3 weeks, I went back for a second manicure. They used the drill bit to take off the majority of the nail polish, and then applied the foil and cotton with acetone for the rest. They really didn't wait very long for that to work its magic and I felt they scraped my nails to crap trying to get the rest off. As for the second color I chose, the brush was in great condition, but it was a lighter color that needed 3 coats. They only did two so I have some splotchy areas and I can see the top coat layer is also coming off (patches of non-shine). All in all, this salon has done a subpar job and I feel like they are trying to do things too cheaply and quickly. I liked the prices and location, but I will be going somewhere else for my next service. read more

This has been my go to salon for no-chip manicures for months now. Yesterday was my first time getting a pedicure and I was very impressed by the job they did! I also loved the massage chairs. I've been going here since a couple of years back when my cousin took me here with her when she told me she found a great cute little spot for nails but stopped due to work, I recently started going here again about a year ago and they're still as amazing and polite as always! I went to this place for the first time yesterday and I am NOT one bit disappointed. I walked-in for a no-chip mani & pedi and I was attended right away! It's an average size salon but the service is great! I enjoyed sitting in the massage chair while I waited. I've been here quite a few times. Once for a no chip mani and pedi which went fairly well and I had no complaints. On my third and final visit all I needed was a no chip mani almond shape and long story short I had to shape my nails MYSELF and paid full price. The older lady should not be taking clients. She had no idea what almond shape meant which was OK because all I needed to do was show her a pic. But even after that she proceeded to give me a crooked stiletto shape. My nails were practically at a 90 degree angle and when I told her they were uneven she made it worse. Had a good experience here but I did experience a good level of pain when she was filing my nails. I got acrylics done which costed $28 but would've been $43 for no chip. This was the first time I've been there and I liked the way my nails turned out but I did experiment pain and she didn't push back my cuticles or clean up the areas of skin around my nail bed. read more

Even though I had to come home to put stones on my nails, I am still happy with the results. Nails were too long for me to work. But according to the nail tech, the nails have to be a long length to have a coffin shape. However, my sister-in-law stepped over to show me her nails and they were the shape and length I wanted! I'll be cutting them down soon. But, from prior visits here I always left with a smile. The owner is down to earth. They always offer water and pay close attention to your wants and needs. I booked an appointment for my mom and I the day of for a fill and a no chip and just a no chip for my mom. Upon entering the establishment they asked what services we would like again and asked us to pick our color. They sat us down and began working on us. Let me start off by saying the place is not sanitary at all. There is random stuff all over and the employees eat at their desk which is not sanitary whatsoever. The guy that was doing my nails started by putting acetone on my acrylic nails which I thought was different but I didn't say anything at first. For those of you who don't know much about acrylic, acetone completely takes it off just like no chip polish. He then asked if I would like my nails shorter. I said yes. He was about to start clipping my nails with a regular nail clipper which is a big no no for acrylics. I quickly pulled my hands back and said you can't use those these are acrylics! He looked confused. The girl in front of him then took me and seated me and began working on me with no apology. My acrylic nails had already started to feel mushy from the acetone but the girl tech didn't seem to think it mattered. I came there with oval shaped nails and told her I would like to keep the same shape. She attempted to do them but every single nail was a different shape and when I asked her to fix them she look confused. I just said never mind because honestly they didn't look the worst. I was just used to better service. I waited to leave this review to a see how the nails would last. After 10 days not only did my no chip start chipping but my ACRYLIC started chipping off. I had 2 nails come completely off and the rest were chipping away. I have NEVER had this happen. I've had acrylics on for 3-4 weeks and have never had them chip. I would not recommend this place. They are unsanitary, unapologetic and their services don't last. I'm replying to the owners comment here because yelp doesn't give the option to reply to comments. Yes, I went to the one in Lyons. As a new customer how would I know only females do acrylics? It is your responsibility to listen to me when I tell you what service I want. I told you multiple times. As as for your employees eating at their desk, I was there. She was eating right next to me. My mother was also there and saw the same thing as me. I came in on 6/11/19 to get a soak off and no chip manicure. I usually come here every two weeks & I initially looked to be serviced by Sue or Nancy because they are the two who I can count to do a great job. Neither of them was there and I really needed my nails done that day so I decided to settle for who was available. This was the worst decision I could've made. I was sat down and given the bowl to soak off my nails right before 4:30. The older woman checked on my nails about 10-15 mins in. After that no one even addressed my nails for almost 45 mins. They took multiple customers and did not attend to my nails soaking in acetone. It got so bad to where I had to get a paper towel and begin wiping off the acrylic myself; still no one attended to me. I had to address someone almost an hour after to look at my nails. This person was the older male who works there; his name may be Kenny but I'm 100% certain. This man proceeded to shove my hands forcefully back into the bowl without even looking at him. I told him NO my nails need to be attended to and how long I had been waiting. He then grabbed his tools to start working but if I would not have addressed him who knows when I would have been serviced. Needless to say, I will NEVER allow him to do my nails again. He was rough with my nails to where he caused much pain. I asked him multiple times to be more gentle in which he ignored. I am just expressing my extreme disappointment in this service. Not once did any one apologize about the long wait or about the pain this nail tech cause to me. And to top off my nails have already chipped. Great service and quality. I think hygiene may be subpar - but I wasn't too worried. You might want to bring your own polish -- some look old. There are quite a few people working (5) on a Sunday so although a regular influx of people there wasn't more than a 5min wait it appeared. The chairs look a little battered (again - not too bad) but the massage is super strong and has lots of options. The part where you put your foot in (tub?) was very nice. Very big TV on wall and visible from all chairs. Volume you could hear but wasn't loud and they had on the subtitles. No strong chemical smell. Again, the people were very nice and accommodating (to me and to others - a very old/frail woman came in in a wheelchair for a mani). I will definitely be back. Price can't be beat! $35 mani/pedi + $5 off Yelp offer. Ok to pay with and tip on a credit card :) just tell them tip amount before they ring the card. read more

I live across the street from a nail salon. It is disgusting, the absolute worst. So I have become pretty picky in trying to find ones that aren't too far but don't suck. Yelp brought me here. Super close to home, even closer to work plus a ton of amazing reviews. What could go wrong? For the first time in six months, I had a day off so I treated myself to a pedicure. This place was actually a bit tricky to find because of some road construction. Make sure to look for the nail salon sign. (It also says "Laundromat") I walked in and they were able to take me right away. It is a standard pedicure. They have very strong massage chairs if you are into that. I personally am not so I turned mine off. The facility though is impeccable. I didn't notice anything dirty about it. The nail tech spent a good amount of time making sure that my feet were cleaned up and my nails looked pretty! It was a very good experience for a very small price. read more

I was there 20 minutes before they opened on Saturday morning for a pedi and it was still closed but the staff of 6 arrived 1 minute before 10 and by 10:05 the place was jumping. The best pedicure/massage I have ever had and that's saying a lot, I've had 100's. Kathy took care of me. She was methodical and a perfectionist. She took her time cleaning up my cuticles and told me honestly the blue I chose would not work with my skin tone. She chose another blue and then put both on me. She was right, her blue worked for me. I also decided to get my eyebrows done and again Kathy was a perfectionist. My brows look gorgeous. Place is clean and I was pleased to find a new place close to my house. Price was right and lots of free parking. You also get a punch card and after so many punches you get a free pedi.
