Worst experience I ever had in a nail salon Nail tech Magh Duc Nguyen did my nails I wanted a simple French with 2 of fingers with zig zag lines ... it took him 3-5 tries on each nail to get it done ... instead of him saying I can't do it he proceeded to try ? I had to say if it's hard for you let's do a simple French tips on all nails it took 2-3 times on each nail as well I was nervous because he had hair and dirt on my nail and still told me to place hand under gel light also it looked like I needed a refill once he was done ... my friends ask why I didn't say anything or not pay , I'm not that type of person I'm just a simple girl that wanted a simple French tip I pretty sure every nail tech knows how to do a French tip .... I came here because my usual nail place was closed for a whole week and urgently needed to remove my dip manicure. I walked in with no appointment and they were able to accommodate me and remove my dip powder. The removal was gentle and they used pure acetone. I did not like that the woman who removed my dip left the skin around my nails full of chunks of dip. Since I was there I decided to try their deluxe spa pedicure since so many people were getting pedicures while I removed my dip. The deluxe pedicure was more expensive and included a scrub, mud mask, warm towel, cooling lotion, and extra massage. I quickly was dissatisfied with my pedicure because the woman who was doing it did not take her time with the cuticle care. She simply pushed them back and did not take the time to remove all the dead skin. Then when it came to the extras, I found that they were all packets of masks that you can purchase yourself. I did not get extra massage and found the deluxe spa to be underwhelming. The icing on the cake was the nail polish. The lady who painted my toes left so many gaps on the edges of my nails with no nail polish. It's like she did the bare minimum. She was really kind and helped me find the perfect nude for my toes but I would not pay for another pedicure from this place. read more

I went in because a friend recommended this place and i happened to be near by. Asked for one of the photos i posted and got claws that looked nothing like them. She complained every step of the way and even threatened to break one of my fingers if i continued to ask questions. I honestly felt embarrassed for their tech and against my better judgement i still tipped her and left, when I got home and couldn't use my phone and almost dropped my food because she had made my nails too long I called and asked if i could get them fixed. The "manager" said i could come back rudely, when i returned i was rudely invited back then the manager asked me "what do you want?" I asked to just take the nails off and do gel and give me the price difference back. He said no we don't do that. So I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager and he said there wasn't one on shift. I asked another employee and she told me he was indeed the manager and that they do offer refunds in her words "he just doesn't like to but i can come back on Friday to speak with the owners." So I not only didn't get the manicure I asked for, came back due to negligence from one of their greedy techs who i still tipped!, i was nicked on my finger almost sure that was on purpose (when i really wasn't asking much of anything of this lady and i was kind and patient.) and was given nothing but stress while pregnant in a "spa" but everything looked so dirty and they seemed to have dirty practices. We made an appointment for my aunt and cousin and they really enjoyed their visit. Tom did my aunts nails (dip powder) and her toes (cut and color). She said he was really good and faster than her nail tech back home! My cousin had one of the women techs and she too, enjoyed her visit. I forgot to take a pic of how their nails and feet looked but they looked nice! Also, they were very clean. They wiped down the seats after each person left. I had the worst customer service experience with Michael, the Manager. Last Friday I went in for the first time to do my nails and eyebrows and the young ladies who assisted me were both very niceeeee. Few days later, I went back because I had two chipped nails that needed to be removed and repolished @Magic Nails located at 19345 S Dixie Hwy, Cutler Bay, FL 33157 As i walked in Michael sat in his chair and explained "WHAT DO YOU NNED DONE" and He didn't want to get up to come and assist me with my issues and claims that I needed to walk up to him where he was sitting because I didn't want to talk from across the room to reply back. SMH When I tried to explain that my nail polish chipped and needed to be removed, he wanted to dismissed the facts and proceeded to tell me a story. I told him regardless, It has to be fixed, I was not interested in knowing why the polish cam off. As I sat down I told Michael that he needs to work on the way he treat the customers because customer service care is very important. He became belligerent and told me to be quiet before he kick me out of his chair. Mind you, the young lady sitting NEXT to him was in a state of SHOCK as I was amazed. I immediately thought to myself, this guy must be the owner and he is not afraid to lose his job if he is an employee for talking to a customer in this manner. Businesses needs to know this: A single negative interaction with a service employee displaying inappropriate behavior, bad manners, and an unfriendly attitude not only leads to poor customer experience but also leads to churn. According to a report by New Voice Media, 42% of consumers stop supporting a business because they are put off by rude or unhelpful staff which is another worst customer service mistake. I hope the owner will be able to do better. read more

I love this place! Today is my mom's birthday, having a surprise party for her and needed to get her out of the house. I had made an appointment in a different location and they cancelled on me. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a place without an appointment. I called Magic Nails and the person who answered was very helpful. Walk-ins welcome. We arrived at around 11:45am on Sunday and they immediately helped us. My mom was taken care of by Christina and I was with Jenny. They were both super sweet. Our mani/pedi came out awesome! We did the deluxe, it felt so good. All the other nails techs were so happy and friendly and funny. I'm so happy that the other place cancelled on me. This will be my new go to place! Gave it three stars because 70% of what the employees were doing was complaining about being there and that there were so many people for the time. Also, when I looked at my nails they weren't perfect, not that I think it can ever be but I have gotten much better. Overall though the salon had SO many colors, like literally a long wall with hundreds of them. The pedicure was good and included hot towel(s) and lotion. Chairs went very back and were really comfy. Ay caramba! We were in the Homestead area and decided to go get pedicures. I opted for a mani/pedi and was happy with how my toenails turned out. The pedicure was super relaxing and a job well done. However, my nails were a different story. I wanted a French manicure and unfortunately the nail person messed up a couple times. The manicure did not last more than two days and now that I've completely removed the polish, my nails are actually yellow where the polish was. Lastly, my Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card failed to work on Magic Nail's credit card machine. I called Chase after the fact and was informed the card was declined by the store, not the card. If you're looking for an inexpensive nail salon, then check out Magic Nails but if you want a lasting manicure, go somewhere else. You get what you pay for. read more

Wow the atmosphere is just great. All the workers are super nice and help out with any questions you might have. I made an appointment for 11:30 and was seated almost immediately. Graciela did my pedicure and honestly my feet have never been so soft. Hong did my acrylic full set and even when I noticed one little thing I didn't like he didn't complain or anything he fixed it with a smile. I came here once on a really busy days and my nails came out decent. But two days ago I decided to get a mani and pedi for Valentine's Day and got the worst mani and pedi ever! It looked like I did my nails my fucking self. The woman who did my nails was very nice but she sucked. Didn't shape my nails enough to the shape I wanted, didn't clean the edges off properly after putting on my nail color, did not put on the top coat correctly, and just half-assed it. Literally the worst nail salon ever lol. I came here last minute bc my usual nail place didn't have any openings. After literally an hour after the pedicure I was already home, and the nail polish was still wet bc it was applied so thick so I took off the little salon flip flop and the whole nail got ruined. However, it happened twice back to back that THE DAY of my appointment she would text me with an excuse and cancel an hour or two before. I did not make an appointment, they said it would be two minutes and I was surprisingly pleased that I actually waited just two minutes!! I normally do no color manicure but this time I did gel color. The lady tht was doing my nails didn't paint my top of nails she was lazy and it was sloppy I gave it a day to see if it will get better it didn't! Magic Nails, located in 19345 S. Dixie Hwy, Cutler Bay, FL has just lost a customer. I am embarrassed by their behavior. I entrusted them to remove my acrylic nails properly. Instead, Graciela forced the acrylic off one of my nails with a plastic edge, pulling up my natural nail and causing it to bleed. I was in so much pain. This was so unprofessional! Graciela and the owners never apologized for the error made. However, they expected me to pay, even though my nail was ruptured and I was bleeding. This is terrible service and I'm not going back. Be on the look-out for how they remove your acrylic. I hope you are not a victim. read more

So it was my first time here today at magic nails I went for a pedicure no hands because my nails are so brittle! The older Vietnamese gentlemen did my feet and it was great he messaged my feet very good , shaped my toenails and everything he was very gentle and execute every request ! At the end of the pedicure I decided to change my color I originally choose to a DND turquoise color that was more pretty , then another worker a tall thin guy cake over and said that I COULDN'T get the color I want because I'm not painting my nails ! So I asked why his reason was that the color come as a pair so I said I just want the regular one not the gel ! Then I asked for the same color in another brand he gave me a ugly ass color that doesn't match up to the color I want at all !! I was so upset I ended up with clear polish on my toes ! Not happy about it at all ! And what happened to customer service this was BS you get your feet done you should be able to choose the color you want ! Even if I don't do my fucking hands ! Attention to detail and customer service was better than many other local nail salons. Staff all wear uniform shirts and equipment comes in sterilized bags for each customer.
