I am so frustrated by this place. My daughters and I have been 3 times. After the first time one of my daughter's acrylic nails popped off after 1 day. They did fix it but only after telling us they couldn't find my transaction and charged her for the repair. This time, just last night, I had my nails painted and they look like I have had the paint on for 2 weeks. Who paints nails like this?! Sadly I was busy chatting with the lady next to me so I didn't pay attention and didn't notice until they were done. I'm not a complainer so I didn't say anything but I should have asked her to paint them again!! Then the first bill that was handed to me was $180. The other tech that was working on my daughter took it and spoke to the tech next to her about it in their language. Then we went up front, and a bunch of other buttons were pushed and suddenly I owed $300. If you look at their menu of prices and what I got this makes no sense. They over charge, I felt that way the first time and then they pressure you to tip. We will not be back. I had to wait 45 after my appointment time to finally be taken care of. When I asked the manager how much longer she told to go ask the nail artist myself. The nail artist didn't really talk to me at all. The nails were good however they were $90! If I would've known that they would be this much I wouldn't have even came here. Also for $90 I would expect it to last longer than 4 days. After 4 days of my appointment one nail is broken. I am very disappointed. Overall rude staff. Just moved here from the California(Bay Area). It seems very scary/hard to find a good nail salon who can be creative and give you what you want at a normal price. This place is far below par in my book. Showed them a picture of colors I wanted and that was a struggle. Now I'm not going to base my reviews on that. My review is based upon the the lack of creative/quality of the work. The price is high to me $50 for a full set with coffin shape. I got one solid color. I wouldn't even think twice if they looked nice. They do not look nice and I'm having a hard time understanding how this place can charge more than the Bay Area where people make way more there than they do here. This is one of my favourite salons. I used to come here for eyelashes with Hanh (I'd still go, if I hadn't moved downtown!) and recently took a co-worker after we happened to be in the area. As usual, fabulous experience! It's a few weeks later and my pedicure still looks nice. I usually have issues with hang nails or weird peeling skin (you know what I'm talking about ladies) and I didn't have any of that after. Just smooth silky feet and sweet polished toes. Our techs were lovely ladies and we never felt rushed, just relaxed. I even switched my polish after she had already painted one foot (sorry again!) but she just helped me off the chair to pick a new one, no attitude, super easygoing. I've a sneaking suspicion any bad reviews are from rival salons...! Just don't believe the hype. I have never seen anyone unhappy in this salon and in fact mostly see regulars. Not saying that mistakes don't happen of course! But the owners here are super chill and very helpful. If you have an issue I'm sure bringing it up to them will resolve it right away. They've just expanded and clearly it's because they have a loyal following, they're doing something right! read more

I drive all the way from denver to get my nails done here but after the experience i just had, i absolutely will not be returning. one of the nail techs sliced my cuticle with the drill and wouldn't allow me to wash my hands or anything and just continued to do my nails therefore, my finger got an infection and i actually had to go to urgent car and have my finger cut open and drained. i'm now on antibiotics for this infection. my finger has been infected and swollen for almost two weeks and is hopefully on the mend. there are plenty of places you can get your nails done, don't choose this one. read more

I've been coming here for two years and loved it because I never made an appointment and could just walk in and be seen by anyone. Today was such a disappointment and this review is mainly for the nail tech but also for the outrageous prices that I feel keep going up every time I go. I wanted to finally take my dip off and try to grow my natural nails out so I asked for just a simple polish manicure. The nail tech first got dipping powder out and I told her no I just wanted normal polish. She was clearly upset and stormed off to get the polish instead of dip. The end result was fine until I sat under the nail dryer for over 15 minutes then attempted to get my keys out of my purse and every nail got destroyed and the polish all came off. I was also mad because looking closer I realized she didn't even clip the dead skin around the nail bed on any nails. She charged me $25 for the "manicure" and $10 to take the dip off so $35 for this end result...(see pic) I ended up just asking for remover and took all the polish off myself because they looked so horrible. When I asked the front desk for remover and showed him my nails he happily handed me the remover and said nothing else. I honestly never complain but this was one of the worst experiences I've had at a nail place. The salon recently went through a remodel. It is now horrible. The orientation has your back to the door. There is hardly any room to walk in the nail area. It is noisy. Even the nail technicians seems to hate the new layout. In chatting with other long time customers, they also hate the new layout. If it were not for the fact that my favorite manicurist is here, I would find a new place. I'm sure that the remodel was not cheap. But it was not money well spent. read more

I've had a handful of pretty good manicures, pedicures, and lip waxes here, but after my experience on Friday I will NEVER return. I had the absolute worst manicure and worst lip wax of my life, and was treated so rudely that at first I wondered if I had done something to offend someone, but i couldn't figure it out. The woman who did my nails was literally NOT LOOKING AT MY HANDS as she slathered base coat all over my cuticles and missed half my nail. My nail tech said she had another client and that someone else would do my lip wax, so before any of my polish was dry i was whisked into the back room and - i am not even kidding - this woman smeared wax all over both my cheeks (missing huge parts of the hair i actually wanted removed) and just shredded my face. I have had so many lip waxes in my life, including at this salon, and i know they're a little painful. This was extremely aggressive and uncareful. I also now, 2 days later, have a rash around the cheeky edges of my mouth - areas where there was no hair and therefore there should have been no wax. Then after i was walked to the front to pay, i noticed the polish on my manicure was so unevenly distributed that I had to say something... so I told my lip waxer (because my manicurist had gone to her other client) and she said "I didn't do your nails." And walked away. i was stunned, but gathered my thoughts and told the man working the front desk that I had polish all over my fingers and he told me they'd get it cleaned up... and the woman i sat down with literally said "did you just get these done here?!" in disbelief. I mumbled yes, but realized as soon as I left i should have said something else or asked for money back or a redo or SOMETHING but I was so blown away all i could get myself to do was leave. I'm honestly more confused than anything, because not only have I NEVER had a manicure (or experience) this bad at a nail salon, but I've been coming here for two years (and tipping 20%) and was suddenly treated like total garbage. BEWARE!! My teen daughter and a few of her girlfriends went in for manicures yesterday. The middle aged man that did my daughter's friend's manicure asked her if she wanted to sit in a chair or in HIS LAP!!! After she declined, he asked her again if she was sure. At the end of the manicure, he said that her nails were now ready for their second date. During other parts of their conversation, he asked her what year in high school she was demonstrating that he understood her to be a minor. She was so shocked by the experience she allowed the service to continue not knowing how to react. Afterwards however, she called to speak to the manager to report the harassment. I have been coming to this salon for about six years now ever since it was a quarter of the size and salon it is now. I used to absolutely love it and rave about it to everyone I knew. I had an amazing nail tech who always did a fantastic job. After he left, I had extreme difficulty finding another nail tech that did as good of a job as my previous one. I have seen almost every nail tech in the salon since, and have never left fully satisfied the way I used to. I like my nails simple, usually always the same color and shape. However, I would say for about the past year, I always leave with bumpy, uneven, misshaped nails. Nail techs are always rushed and seemingly overworked to the point that they can't do a complete and thorough job, especially considering the high price you pay. Quinn, the manager who is always there, used to be friendly and considerate. Now every time I come back with a complaint or dissatisfaction he seems annoyed and makes it obvious that he doesn't care. I also have had issues with the other older lady who works at the front as well (I'm not sure of her name). She is rude over the phone and in person every time I have talked to her. She is very condescending and does not listen when I have a concern. One time I called to reschedule a lash appointment because I got stuck working late, and she responded in a very rude manner, like I was inconveniencing her for having to reschedule.... I have also gotten my lashes done here a few times. The first time they turned out AMAZING and I LOVED them. The next three times, I left with very red, swollen scratched eyeballs. At first they blamed it on the glue, then the pads. But after doing a bit of research, I figured out that it was the way the technician, Cathy, placed the pads too closely to my eyes, resulting in eye "bruises". The last time this happened, I came in the next day in horror after waking up with VERY red and painful eyes. I walked up to Quinn, who said "you'll probably just have to go to the eye doctor." He didn't express concern, offer me any sort of refund, or even talk to the technician who did my lashes. I was horrified and left feeling scared and helpless!!! Luckily the redness went away after a few days.... but still. This is NOT how you treat loyal customers who pay hundreds of dollars a month towards your business. Will not be returning. read more

If you're looking to get in and out quick- this place is for you. Every time I come here I am in and out in less than an hour. They always take walk ins. It does sometimes feel they're pushing you through a shop. They even have a loud speaker to call people up to the front to help which makes it a less than relaxing atmosphere. So no frills, no pampering. If that's what you're looking for, I would look elsewhere. I'd like a little more attention on my nails when I'm spending just as much as I do in other spas in the area. First time walk-in customer and I was seated for a pedi and gel manicure within 5 minutes. I received great service with pedicure, but I am fairly disappointed with my gel nail polish experience. Three of my nails bled and I picked a brighter peach color, that turned out being completely nude. You can see the whites of my nail through the gel! I asked if she could add another coat of polish to reduce the transparency, but she said my nails would chip quicker with one more coat. I'm bummed because it doesn't even look like I have nail polish on my nails. For these reasons I was able to give them two stars. -This is a huge salon so they can accommodate a walk in easily -Front desk personnel is very friendly -Beautiful salon -Tons of color choices Now the cons - because this salon is so huge it is very hit or miss as to if you will receive someone who is a great nail technician or just very so so - everything is an extra charge. You want your cuticles clipped with a dip $5, you want a tip put on a finger because you broke one of your ten nails $5 the list goes on and on - the pedicure I received this last visit literally took 14 minutes and looked atrocious. Paint all over the skin around my toes etc. If you are in a crunch and have no time to wait then this salon is great they will get you in. Or maybe if you have been a frequent customer and found that one nail tech that takes the time and is a master of their trade then great. However if you don't have time to have sub par work corrected and don't know your technician I would say it's a no go. read more

I'm getting to this review a little late as I've been going to Magic Nails at this location for years. My all-time favorite nail technician, Sally, has left and I'm starting over with Bee. She did such a great job on my pedicure and nails (dip)! It's too soon to tell if they will last as long as Sally's did (3-4 weeks!!!) but I can say that she did a beautiful job! As usual, the owner - Quinn - greeted me and got me seated right on time. Can't say enough positive things about how well he manages this salon and how highly his staff speaks about him.
