Magic Cup is known for their mangonadas and their boba tea but I do not understand the hype about the latter. Definitely venture this way if you want a big ass honking mangonada that will be about the size of your face. However, skip the boba and the milk tea and just head over to Boba Latte or KFT instead. Magic Cup is yet another drink and snack place in the heart of Richardson just a stone's throw away from "China town" and 75. Their kimchi fries are pretty standard and if you're hungover, they hit that special greasy spot. Their mangonadas are tasty, large and punch a lot of flavor. Their milk tea is awful. When I saw my drink being made, I noticed that the matcha green tea powder + milk tea was only shaken twice and those weren't some heavy duty shakes. Those were some mediocre shakes that made me think that my drink would be powdery when I finally did receive it. To my chagrin, my drink was powdery and unpalatable. read more

Fantastic selection that is always comforting and soothing. In the few weeks that I have been going there I already have several favorites for cold days and hot days. They can customize orders and even provide suggestions if you ar overwhelmed. My current top two are coconut milk tea with popping leechee (cold) and coconut white matcha tea (hot). My husband loves the mango strawberry slushy with popping mango and strawberry fruits ontop. I love that they close at 11 and the place is lovely and filled with people of all ages. Boba Latte, you got competition now. I have always been a big Boba Latte fans. But I have finally find some where that could compete with them. So I have always wanna to visit this place and now I finally got a chance. Well drink wise I think it's good enough to compete with Boba Latte, so that's tie. Really cute place to grab a drink and chat with friends! The only thing that can be annoying is that people will be playing jenga, and everytime the blocks knock over, I keep thinking that things are shattering all over the place. I've gotten the passionfruit green tea with agar jelly and fruit bits and it was the perfect sweetness. I usually hate boba drinks that are too sweet to the point where I can't taste the actual tea so I tend to ask them to make it less sweet. The girl ringing me up that time informed me that they use unsweetened green tea when making their flavored teas and that if I wanted it less sweet after trying it, they could always add more green tea so that was really sweet of her. I actually went back to magic cup literally 4 hours later after I grabbed dinner with a friend and ordered the same drink but with rainbow jelly instead of fruit bits. It ended up being much sweeter that time and I had to add some water and lots of ice to dilute it a bit. I'm not sure if it was a consistency issue or if the extra sweetness came from the rainbow jelly, but next time I'll be sure to ask them to use less passionfruit syrup. I normally come here quite often and they usually don't ever get my order wrong but on this occasion they did I have a very severe dairy allergy and I literally said I need coconut milk as a substitute liquid for my drink and I swear that they put dairy in there or at least use the blender that had been used with dairy and I stated to the the lady that I had a dairy allergy. I will try coming again and let him know about this to this to the face of the employees there as I don't normally have this problem with this establishment hopefully this was a one-off read more

I want to like this place but they kind of pissed me off when they charged me an extra .60 to add nonfat milk to my latte. It's a bogus charge. Is nonfat milk anymore expensive than whole milk at the store. Nope. They have a listed price of 3.85$ on their menu. Just charge me the 3.85$ for a 16oz. latte so it'll keep me from just going to Starbucks and buying a 3.95$ latte. I'm already pissed at myself for buying a 4$ coffee. read more

Been coming here for over 2 years, the drinks and services are still great however I don't like the recent add ons that they have. For example: If you don't want ice then they add $0.50 or less iced is $0.30. Spicy it up is $1 more. These add ons are kinda crazy to me. I went here for the first time yesterday with my two sisters. I got the matcha green tea latte, one of my sisters got taro milk tea, and the other got jasmine milk tea. The matcha was very good, not too sweet, but just right. The ratio of boba to tea was proportional and the tapioca was sweet and perfectly squishy. The taro milk tea and jasmine milk tea were good as well. My one complaint would be that the jasmine milk tea was a little too sweet, but that's based on a personal preference. Service was a little slow, but they're a new establishment so I saw past it. All in all, I would gladly come here again! I'm dying to try the food and other fun drinks they have. read more

My sisters and I are visiting Dallas from Houston and stumbled across Magic Cup Cafe's grand opening! We were able to attended the soft opening and grand opening this weekend! We got to try the tropical paradise, fruit tea madness, vanilla latte, Thai tea, cha mango, and pretty much all the snacks they had. They're having a 40% off grand opening promotion so we splurged a little on the drinks and snacks! The fruit teas were so refreshing!! They had mini diced fresh fruits in them which made the drinks so great! The cha mango is pretty much a mangonada. The ones I usually find aren't made with fresh mangos but the cha mango here is definitely fresh! Blended mango with chamoy sauce n candied straw top with mango chucks! Definitely a must try! The Thai tea had a very good consistency not too much half n half and I can actually taste the tea! The vanilla latte was very creamy. The amount of sweetness is just right. All the snacks we tried were also pretty good! Price is very reasonable! If Magic Cup could magically come to Houston, I would definitely be a frequent visitor! Great place to hang or study! I went to their soft opening earlier today and this is one of the best looking cafe environment I've seen around the area! It's a pretty decent size with lots of seating areas, and fun board games for you to enjoy with your friends. the staff members are very kind and polite, but the best part about Magic Cup is the drinks! Maybe I'm spoiled by the magical greatness of Houston's milk tea because taste wise, this place did not cut it for me. I ordered a regular milk tea and my brother ordered a peach smoothie. My milk tea tasted like the little powdered mung bean cakes you get during tet smushed down and mixed with milk... Where's the tea in my milk tea? The atmosphere itself was chill and trendy. I went when it wasn't too busy so I didn't have to wait in line. The service was quick and prompt which is always a plus. This place is fantastic! My boyfriend and I come here sometimes and I always get the Cha-Mango drink that comes with a candy straw. It's so delicious! They have a large menu with drinks and foods that all look amazing. Also, the restaurant is always very clean! Even behind the counter where the drinks are made is extremely clean. It's a pleasant sight just and adds to the wonderful experience. The staff is great too. They're very nice and patient and look like they love their job. First time at this place! Just looking for a tea place to shoot the breeze with my sister and we stumbled upon this place after a cursory search. Because we were stuffed with dim sum, no food was had but I enjoyed the heck out of my thai milk tea with popping boba (first time I had the popping kind) and my sis absolutely loved her Cha Watermelon (we both agreed it could have been spicier).
