At least get the fries mannn! They discontinued my favorite but it was the hibiscus tea or something like thattt

Drinks are e just OK. They don't use fresh fruit or juice for some ingredients. I can taste the fruit can juice in the special tea drinks. Sandwhiches are below average. Smaller and less meat than other places. They have great coupons to attract people to come still. read more

Magic Cup has its grand opening today. I went there with a group of friends. 1) Environment: Décor is modern, has a lot of seating, nice atmosphere 2) Staff: very friendly, polite, and enthusiastic 3) Food: Our group ordered everything on the menu. OMG...Their Asian Garlic chicken wings is a MUST try. The garlic sauce is authentic which I have not tasted anywhere else in any restaurant. 4) Drink: I was hooked after a few sips of Cha-Mango. It's sweet, spicy, sour, and everything you ever could want in life. Definitely coming back for MORE.. read more

okay, to be honest, i've only had their Cha Mango drink from here and and i am completely obsessed with it. it taste so juicy and refreshing & they even use real mango chunks in there too. literally the perfect drink for houston's year round heat. i've also tried the Voodoo Chicken, which is just the typical chicken nugget fried with basil, i thought it was just average, it definitely could've been crispier. the atmosphere of this place is really nice, and extremely clean which i appreciate a lot, especially when you're in bellaire area. it seems like a good place to just hang out and catch up with friends here. but i probably wouldn't recommend studying / doing work here because they do play their music a bit loud. overall i feel like this is a good place to grab something thirst quenching and a nice afternoon snack. i will definitely come back one day and try the other drinks and snacks they have as well. read more

My first time visiting a BOBA DRIVE THROUGH. I wish there was a place like this in San Diego. If you're ever in Houston, TX, Bellaire area, please give this place a try! There are so many drinks to choose from, and they provide many varieties of toppings to choose from. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea and it was so good. The jasmine flavor was strong which I loved. There are many places where you order jasmine green milk tea and you don't even taste the jasmine at all. The Vietnamese coffee here is a little stronger than most places. If you don't like your coffee too strong, let them know!! Overall, it was a good place to try out and I'm glad I came across this place during my visit in Houston, TX. read more

They made the order wrong twice for me!!! 1st When I order Wintermelon Milk Tea with Herbal Jelly but cashier did not out in So they did not have Herbal Jelly in there but one lady gave me anyway so I'm having more hope. 2nd. I tasted it. It is not wintermelon tea, it is black tea taste. When I ordered the cashier asked me "do you want wintermelon: black tea, milk , or green tea?" There is clearly a differentiate in the taste base on that explanation and so I said wintermelon milk tea (which mean no black tea or green tea, thus only milk added) I came back and asked "did I order wrong?" The chef who made my tea said "oh we added flavor in your drink so you will taste some black tea" I just said okay and walked away because I do not want to argue. However, it doesn't make sense due to the fact they have three different flavor when I ask about it. Im sure they might have other drinks that better there but definitely not milk tea because if they are not able to differentiate the taste then not worth going here because their other milk tea places that much better read more

I recommend trying the sea foam teas! Although I would advise against mixing it all into the tea. I tried the Jasmine sea foam, which was great, but after mixing in too much foam became too thick and creamy. I also tried the fruit tea. It was alright; tasted like sugar water. I would personally stick to the actual tea. I also really like that they have two different sizes becauae I can never finish the large-sized drinks! read more

I'm super disappointed today. I literally go to this place at least once a week and each time getting at least 3-4 of their nuoc sam and kim chi fries. Today I got in a long line ordering at the drive thru. I ordered 3 nuoc sâm as usual and 1 frappe. As I got to the window, the guy handed me one cup at a time and couldn't even put all those cups into a cup holder for me. Than as I roll away from the window, I was putting the last cup into my car's cup holder spots and one of the cup cracked opened from top to bottom. I pulled right over next to the window and tried to clean up the mess as it's dripping and slowly pouring all over my car. Then I had no choice but to drive around the store and get back into line after 8 cars just to get another cup or something to put over to hold the dripping. When I finally got to the window again, I told the guy the cup cracked and showed it to him on both side of the cup. He was liked "it cracked??!! I'm sorry". Then he said "you want me to put a cup over it?" I just responded: "however works". At this point there are only half cup full with mainly ice and the sinkers in there. Yet the store and the service is so horrible that can't even replace another cup for the customer or at least pour it out into a new cup bc now it's dripping the rest into this cup making it even harder to drink whatever else is left. I'm stunned by the horrible services of these Asian places. Whelp! There goes this place that I will not be returning. read more

Every time I've come here, the drinks have been wonderful and the tapioca quality is always on point. Snacks are good too, love the voodoo chicken. I definitely recommend this place! HOWEVER, they need to up their customer service. The cashier and workers are in like... high school... so not much is to be expected. But the way they yell when your number is ready is obnoxious, aggressive, and highly violent. My SO and I felt attacked because we couldn't initially hear here yelling number 8, so she screeched it and it was extremely awkward. Also when we were ordering she was yelling, so we had to take breaks while speaking. Maybe if violently squawking numbers isn't working for y'all, try a new method? It's making your usual customers feel awkward. (Purchasing a mic, intercom service, table buzzers, etc.) read more

I had the green tea matcha with boba, lychee jelly and the magic puffs. The green tea was okay, taste little plain like not enough tea. I've been neglecting to come here because I am a fan of Dallas's Magic Cup (in Garland, TX). The only thing I have tried here is the Kiwi Green because of a selected drinks for 10% off for St. Patrick's Day. I was surprised that Kiwi Green is sweet and fresh! Also, I came here because it was the only boba place that opens earlier than 11 AM! read more

I was drawn in by the chinese new year festivities with dragon dance. Entertainment was great but I can't say the same for food and drinks unfortunately. We had strawberry and banana smoothie, it was sweet and tasted lots of preserved sweetened juice and not from fresh fruits, though small cut strawberries filled the top. The voodoo puffs were not as described. I imagined very light puff but it was very dense, heavy, and made us feel bloated after the second one. We couldn't finish and had to toss away the rest. Price was but excessive for what it was, had it been made completely with fresh fruits and deliciously made light puffs then I'll gladly give 5 stars and pay for that price. read more

Parking: Huge parking lot. Unless there is some big event here, you will always find a parking spot. Time and Day: Came on a Thursday at 1:00 PM and it wasn't busy at all. Good time to come by. Food: Many of the bubble tea drinks are similar to the other tapioca places on Bellaire, but whenever I come here, I always get the 24 oz Fruit Tea Madness ($4.55). No other place makes the same kind of special teas that Magic Cup can make and I like the sweet blend that they use here. It has the right mixture of fruits, neatly sliced and cut, and sweet tea. So far Magic Cup is the only place that makes it the way I like it and for that, this place gets a (5/5) on drinks. Service: Similar to other teahouses, they have board games for you to play, and plentiful number of seats to sit (both inside and outside) and enjoy your drink. A huge difference is that they have a drive-thru so you can order your drinks without even leaving your car. Other than that, service is quick, and I never had issues with my drink at all. Overall, service gets a 4.5. Price: Similar prices to all the other teahouses on Bellaire. They are usually between $4 and $5, and if you want any add-ons, then that will cost you extra. Overall: I recommend Magic Cup for the special teas that they have here. Located in a secluded area (far away from many of the restaurants) so it is not within walking distance of many restaurants, but that means that also means it is easy to find a parking spot. Overall, I give you this place a 5/5 for its unique special teas and quality service. I definitely will come back to this place. read more

Came here to get VN ice coffee, light ice. Confusion ensued and they ended up giving me an almost half empty cup of coffee. I looked at them like really and they were embarrassed to even look at me. Granted this isn't their speciality drink but coffee isn't hard to make. I'll assume they weren't purposely cheating me out of coffee and it was either lack of training or them just not caring. Tried their voodoo popcorn chicken as well which was mostly fatty chunks of fried chicken. I wasn't impressed and by the looks of other food I saw it's just fast food quality. Overall, bad first impression and no reason id go back. The only magic here was my disappearing act. read more

My friend and I came a little after 12:30 and it was a decent crowd here. He got the pho dipping sandwich and iced Viet coffee. I got the milk tea (no boba) and kimchi fries (bacon bits and a egg were extra $ so I chose the egg) all for around $10. The broth for the dipping ramen was great but the sandwich had a tad too many veggies for my liking so it overwhelmed the sandwich. The Viet coffee tasted more like a mocha than a traditional Viet coffee so that was kind of weird. The kimchi fries were perfect. I ate the whole thing and it was more than enough to satisfy me for lunch. The place is all green and white interior, cheery and super modern. I base my drink places based on the classic milk tea and this place had great milk tea. The wifi here was fast and there were lots of students here working on stuff on their laptops. After reading mixed reviews I wasn't sure if this place would be a hit or miss but it was a good experience for me and my friend. read more

I don't leave very many reviews, but when I had a delicious dream about Magic Cup in my sleep after visiting, well... how could I not?! While visiting Houston, I stopped by here and ordered the Matcha Green Tea Frap. I told the girl working there that I don't particularly like fraps because they are too sweet but that I love Matcha. She said she would make it half sweetened, and wow, she made it PERFECT! I was so sad to see it go when I finish the drink. The food there was so yummy too - I tried the voodoo chicken and the magic puffs. I'd highly recommend getting both! I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Houston! I don't normally crave tapioca and today was just one of those days. Did a tapioca run for the family and wow I totally forgot how expensive these drinks are! 6 drinks for $28! Anyway, I called ahead of time to placed my order so hopefully by the time I got there, grab and go. Well it was a few minutes delayed but no biggie. The workers were were polite and kept assuring it was in the works. I ordered 2 milk teas, 2 avocado smoothies and 2 Oreo shakes. Avocado smoothie looks unpleasant to me but my mom and brother likes it. Both my nieces enjoyed the Oreo shakes. Now to me, the milk tea was underwhelming. I specifically asked for it to not be too sweet. But my milk tea was already pre made in a dispenser.. so they totally disregarded the fact that I asked for less sugar! I mean if you're just gonna premix everything.. what's the point of hsving a sign to choose your sugar level? Just sayin' so my milk tea came out super sweet. Which I don't like. Honestly, I only took a few sips. Literally not my cup of tea. read more

Still a decent tapioca place but definitely not my top pick in Houston. I don't have a go to drink here still but it's still decent enough for me to come by and grab a drink/snack. Yet another bubble tea shop has opened in the already congested Bellaire area. Sadly however, this one falls very short. The food and drinks are a huge disappointment. In its current state, Magic cup lacks the magic aspect that its name bares. Coming in on grand opening day, a buy two get one free special was being offered giving me the opportunity to try quite a few drinks. In short, the drinks were extremely lackluster. I honestly felt that my taro milk tea tasted extremely watered down. I could hardly taste any taro flavor. Likewise, the Thai green milk tea tasted just as watered down. As many others have mentioned, the Thai green milk tea from Phi is way better and in my opinion, completely blows this one out of the waters. I had high hopes for the Cha Mango but boy was I a fool for thinking an Asian place could make a Mexican drink. Compared to the mangonadas I've had thus far, this variation tasted like an absolute mess. I was very disappointed. The best drink was the fruit tea madness but even then, there was nothing wow about it that would make me want to come back for it again. For the price you paid, you definitely deserve way better drinks than what they have to offer. Just like the drinks, the food was extremely lackluster. The Voodoo chicken simply sucked. It honestly lacked any sort of flavor or crunchiness. The chicken needed a lot more basil or just anything that would help get rid of its blandness. Huge huge disappointment compared to the popcorn chicken you can find elsewhere in Chinatown. The Kimchi fries tasted depressing. I felt as if I was just eating plain old french fries. The sweet basil calamari was one of the better appetizers. As for the garlic wings, they were probably the best thing I tried. For once I could say something here had some sort of flavor but still, the wings were ehhhh at best. All in all, Magic Cup is really just lacking any sort of magical touch right now. The decor and spaciousness is huge plus however the food and drinks simply disappoint. They're definitely going to need some magic if they're looking to compete with other bubble tea places on Bellaire. A lot of work needs to be done. Given a couple months, their current situation may change and with that in mind, I'm more than open to coming back and giving this place another shot. But for now, I advise you to stay clear and take your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Everyone always says magic cup is too expensive or it doesn't have a lot of people. I think they're over exaggerating lol, the price point is fine for me. I go here once a week and I always get a Thai green milk tea with boba and almond milk. I like that they have soy milk and almond milk for us lactose intolerant people! Most stores don't have it! The milk tea isn't overly sweet either! If I feel like switching things up, then I get the jasmine green tea with half sugar! I really like the space too, it's open, its spacious, and it's not overly crowded on most days. Drive through is great too. The staff is very friendly! I really like the voo doo chicken, fries, and calamari. The portion for the chicken is smaller compared to most places but I like it anyways. Overall, this is one of my favorite places! read more

It was a very long wait and the drinks were ok. Ordered the strawberry peach tea which tasted like perfume was being sprayed into my mouth.lol Also the popping boba was horrible, the worst texture and taste. Their tea isn't that great. Kind of low quality from other teahouse. The price from the drinks is higher than any other place I've ever been to. The employee work slow and they mess up my order on 2 drinks. The guy that took our order wasn't even listening to what we say. I do like their mango cha cha, but it's just another mangonada at any Mexican drink place. Their food is the same as anywhere else. Their popcorn chicken is the same quality as any other place. I've been coming here regularly about once a week. It's worth the drive from Katy because their banh mi is so good. I've been to so many boba shops and this one really hits the top of my list for their quality, variety, and boba consistency. My favorite drink is their coffee milk tea. They take Vietnamese coffee to the next level by blending it with their house special milk tea to create an amazing drink that has caffeine from the best of both worlds. I'm always happy to stop by because of their friendliness and speedy service. If you're looking for a fun place to have a good time sipping tea and playing their card games, then this place is for you. Just excuse their location and its surroundings because there is construction going on. But, luckily because of the construction, there's a bunch of empty parking spots! I've visited here on a number of different days and times and they are always busy, but always efficient. Have never tried the food, so for now this is only based on drinks. I've tried most drinks on their menu, but my favorite "go to" is the Fruit Tea Madness. The tea is light and sweet and I like all the little bits of fruit and jellies at the bottom. My plan B would be either the mango or strawberry smoothie. You can tell they're blended with fresh fruit and then they're topped with (again) tiny pieces of chopped fruit. So good! I recently had the coffee milk tea w/ coffee jelly, also good. The only drink that I've tried that I just did not care for was the coconut taro smoothie. It tasted powdery. Truth is boba competition in Bellaire is tough. I like their buy two get one free promotion the first week but drink prices starting at around $5 is too much compared to other boba drinks starting at $4 or $3. Presentation: 2.0 Why? Everything looked like a mess... They are not that sanitize because people didn't wear gloves when handling food and drinks. People didn't have hairnets or a hat to keep their hair from falling in the ingredients. Customer service: Mediocre; not really an exciting greeting, more like they dreaded to see customers. However, I understand that it gets busy, but they have to be on top of things since Bellaire is a tough place to compete! Drinks: 2.0 Why? The drinks weren't bad, but they weren't good either. It was pretty hard to handle with the price for the quality they served. {Fruit Tea Madness, Coconut Taro Slush, and Green Tea Frappe} Food: 1.0 It was bland and it wasn't up to par with what they described their food to be. {Voodoo Chicken} I most likely will not be coming back, but hope their business gets better in the long run. Newly open for just 4 days, this place was piping hot and packed! Had to wait no less than 20 minutes to place orders, but service was quick anyways. The husband got himself a small 16oz Cha Mango signature drink, and I had a taro milk tea with pudding and sea salt foam topping; taking advantage of the grand opening B2G1 offer, we got a FREE Thai Green Tea with bubble pearl and sea salt foam topping, yay! The taro milk tea was standard; the Thai green tea was alright just a tad too sweet; yet the so-called signature drink "Cha Mango" was horrible horrible HORRIBLE!!!!!!! The saltiness from the chamoy sauce, the pickled fruit flavor from the Candy straw, and the sourness from the mango fruit base altogether made the mango drink mixture OH MY GOD! So freaking Gross!! Sorry that both the husband and I aint no big fans of Mexican drinks, and so we would just stick to our favorite bubble tea drinks from now on. Anything good and worth trying? This place used to be really good but recently the quality and experience have been subpar. I ordered a thai green tea and a pineapple strawberry green tea with boba and mango jelly. Both were disappointing. The pineapple green tea just tasted like bland diluted green tea even given that the drink is probably flavored with pineapple and strawberry syrup. The drink was missing the mango jelly. Even worse, the service was terrible. The person taking order keeps making mistakes when inputting the information. Service was so slow and made the order incorrectly even when food traffic was light. At least, if service is slow the order should be made correctly. Unfortunately that was not the case. The extra employee just stood there playing on her phone instead of helping the other two employees to make drink when the many orders were coming in quickly. Hopefully the store manager addresses these issues soon because I actually used to like this drink shop. read more
