Magic Brain Cafe was such a nice find. This cafe has a very cozy feel, a few tables and seats, and is nicely decorated. The Barista is an artist, takes his time creating the "Magic," and my Frozen Hot Chocolate was just as good as NYC's Serendipity 3. If you're looking for a quick pick me up, or just want to unwind while strolling through beautiful Cape May, come into Magic Brain and enjoy the zen.

Small iced coffee with English toffee syrup and Lactaid milk

This is a delicious little coffee shop in a building with several other small boutiques. They have more syrup options than I've ever seen in my life, and this is the first coffee shop I have ever seen that had Lactaid milk available. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I greatly appreciate the options. The service was great. I love that you order and then they make your drink immediately.

I was walking around Cape May absorbing the sights when I suddenly felt a thirst. I had bookmarked several coffee shops in preparation for my trip here, so I whipped out Yelp and noticed I was super close to Magic Brain Cafe. That was all I needed to know, so I made my way over. Magic Brain has its own dedicated entrance on Perry Street, but it's also part of the Carpenter Square Mall which is a super small collection of stores in a mini mall on Carpenter Ln. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by aesthetics - very coffeehouse with medium woods, shelves with trinkets/merch, and touches of green to keep it fresh. The menu had typical coffeehouse items; on a hot/humid day like it was I would typically go for an iced coffee, but I already had 3 cups so I went with their iced tea. It was black unsweetened which was exactly what I was looking for. The tea was good - refreshing with just enough tea flavor; it hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly - overall this is a solid spot in Cape May for a beverage. I noticed they also carry a selection some baked goods, so I would definitely return for some of their bakes as well as more liquid peps.

Came here as our first stop off the Lewes-Cape May ferry. The place is so cute and welcoming. The two staff members were very kind and answered all our questions and more! I received a perfectly temped mocha latte, which was tasty. My friend had a chocolate scone and an anise biscotti and her very first mocha latte. She really enjoyed everything! Not a ton of seating, but we all made it work. They have lots of options for bagged coffee, which looked good but I couldn't make a decision. It would appear they also have yoga upstairs, which is fun. Sad I missed this, but in the corner by the window they have games! Would definitely come back if I am in the area again.

Cute funky space, friendly staff and solid cups of caffeine. Upon entry you see a little nook with seats and books alongside a few other seating options by the window and a bench area on the right. The counter is small but offers a number of baked goods including vegan options. We opted for: London fog (5/5) Dirty chai with oat milk (5/5) really delish and what I wanted. I even bought the last container of chai they use on site 2 vegan chocolate chip scones (5/5) hit for the kiddos It's within a little "mall" next to the famously pink store with a yoga studio upstairs. The man working that day gave the littles cute little magic brain temporary tattoos and as folks were filing in you could tell it's an adored gem in the neighborhood. Can't wait to try to replicate the chai at home and will come back!

What a cool little hidden gem of a coffee joint. Tucked in one of those indoor semi malls. Great selection of coffees, espressos etc. A few people working on the laptops, ha ha I was on vacation. Fast service and espresso had a nice crema!

Best service, incredible drinks and pastries.

The espresso and coffee is fantastic, but the service from Madi and Andrew is just as warming. Great place to catch up with locals, sit and work, read, pop upstairs for yoga or check out the local shops. Love this place!

Coffee, Scone & Chocolate Croissant to go

Arrived a few minutes before 7am. Drip coffee was ready to go and baked goods were steaming up the display. We ordered a drip coffee, Caramel Macchiato, chocolate croissant and chocolate chip scone. The Caramel Macchiato is twice as sweet as the one served at Starbucks. I preferred Out There Coffee. My husband preferred this place.

Great coffee shop in center of town. Slightly off the beaten path of Washington Square. We ordered a latte and caramel macchiato. Both were very well made a delicious. There was no line when we arrived around 4 pm, so that made it even better.

Finally managed to visit this coffee shop while they were open! This is a very cute little coffee…read moreshop, with some seating and a lovely book selection to peruse while waiting for your drinks and food. They are insanely fast at making the food and drinks! I think I waited about 3 minutes for my drink, and about 5 more for my bagel. I got the bagel toasted, so it probably would have taken even less time if it wasn't toasted. I got their frozen hot chocolate, because I need a sweet pick me up, but didn't want to risk coffee. The frozen hot chocolate was very tasty, and they even have options to have it made with non-dairy milk. The bagel was fresh, and tasted great. The vegan cream cheese they have is very obviously coconut based and tasted heavily of coconut, but that was on me for not asking what vegan cream cheese brand they use. (I'm pretty sure it was Violife, judging from the taste) I also got a muffin and crumb cake, and they both were very fresh! The crumb cake was delicious, and very much worth the $3.50 I paid for it. The prices of everything they offer are actually pretty decent! I also really enjoyed that they have a fully customizable sandwich menu. The menus are very large and easy to read, even across the room. The girl who took my order was so sweet and helpful! If I'm back in the area before their 2PM closing time, I will totally come back for a quick pick me up!

First thing is the online ordering- a must for the summer months. I love this option and wish all…read morethe coffee shops in cape May would consider adding it. The staff are nice and helpful. The drinks are top tier - some of the best in town. And very creative special drinks too. The food is average cafe food- the bakery items are where they shine. Don't plan to work or hang out here because it can be very busy all year long.
