This place has potential but also some downsides IMO . Their menu book could be organized better or maybe separate. Like one for regular menu, drinks and a separate page for seasonal specials. It was a bit exhausting to flip through. Music bass was a bit too loud or maybe because we were sitting next to the bar side but a game 7 playoff was going on, probably should have turned off the music at certain times. You could see everyone focused on the game. Again, turn down the bass and music, people like to have conversations with music but not that loud. Food was decent and they carry a lot of selection. They even had a appetizer listed as dim sum but we didn't try since it wasn't truly dimsum items listed but you can tell they try to provide a lot of variety. We went with the three tower appetizer which was nice to share. The Maggie seafood pot was awesome, sauce was not too heavy, big mussels, shrimp and scalloped. The Clam casino pizza which had clams and bacon was horrible, only way I can describe it. Dough was dry, clam was dry, so it needed some sauce. Luckily we dipped our pizza into the Maggie seafood pot. I honestly don't know what they were thinking with this pizza or did they just forgot to put some type of sauce on it. I'm left baffled with this artisan pizza The chicken and waffle was good, mine was not soggy as another user noted. Not the best chicken and waffle I've had but above average. I think they should drizzle some of the syrup and sauce and leave the rest on the side for the person to dunk the bits into or pour more themselves. They had a kids menu which we got chicken nuggets and fries for the little one. Extensive selection of alcohol. They also provided crayons and some drawing paper for the kids so it is a kid friendly place too. Our server was nice and checked on us a few times. read more

I've been to an actual GOOD...FANTASTIC Maggie McFly's and that was in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was absolutely astonished how low this location was in quality, taste, customer service, and overall efficiency. For quality: this location was uncomfortably small, the seats weren't as comfy as they are in Virginia Beach and they do not serve complimentary bread ( Virginia Beach does) For taste: 3/5 - no wow factor Customer service: 0/5: honestly to me this is the number one factor and sadly, Maggie McFly's did not live up to my expectation. I went to this location twice. The first time I was with some coworkers ( a medium sized group- not too large) and the waiter was just all over the place. The waiter forgot several key items and seemed to just shrug it off and not really care about making our experience better. He hardly visited our table to check drinks and whether we enjoyed our food. Many times, we had to flag down a random waiter that walked past just for assistance. After we asked for boxes and began putting our coats on, 10 minutes went by before we saw him again. When he finally arrived, we asked "May we have our checks please?" He literally handed this group of 7 people's receipt to one person. Literally had to flag someone else down to get our waiter to split our checks. He arrives and says " oh what did you order I throw away the stud." The second time, I went with a friend who wanted to try the restaurant. She ordered a bbq chicken pizza Togo. As we walked in we were greeted by the hosts and the pointed to where the takeout section was. The woman, who was working, said " need something" with an unfriendly greeting. So clearly no common curtesy. The pizza my friend ordered looked like a frozen Tonys pizza. My friend then said "what is this, this looks nothing like the photo of the bbq chicken pizza." Thankfully a manager walked past, because I doubt the woman would have been helpful, and said "hey, let me take this back to the chef and add some cilantro and bbq drizzle." Though the pizza had some added toppings, you have to ask yourself do you want to go through this all over again? Is another unsatisfied visit worth average food that you can get else where? The menu is huge and there's something for everyone. We originally went for brunch but went with the lunch menu instead. We had a lot of trouble deciding what to pick because there was so much. Our server was very nice! We had the crispy crab puffs, my fiends had the chicken fajitas and I had the bacon egg burger. The crab puffs had a good crunch, but a little to much breading and soft texture for me. They were good, but I'd try something different next time. My friend loved the fajitas. My burger was cooked just as I wanted, and it was HUGE. I took half home. I prefer crispy bacon, and I'd ask for it cooked crispy next time. I got a glass of wine and my friend Diet Pepsi. I needed help picking a wine and she said they weren't allowed to taste the wine. It would've been helpful to get her opinion. I got a taste of the most popular, and ended out going with the Tiamo Pinot Grigio. The downside to our meal was the appetizer plate had old food on it and it took asking twice for a clean plate. We ordered the Chipwich cupcake for dessert. I felt a little rushed to make a decision. The cupcake was dry and crumbled when we dug in. The frosting was amazing! I debated about paying the price just for the frosting. The server took it off the bill. I would try another mid week maybe they'd be fresher. I was torn between three and four stars. Well to start my server didn't show up till about 7 to 10 minutes after I was seated(it was NOT busy). It's a nice place the atmosphere is amazing definitely good for groups. As for the food it was OK everything I tasted was fresh... like hot and hadn't been sitting out for a while. They have a very large selection for happy hour food and drinks, which is a good thing. The food was a high 3 out of 5 for me and everything I ordered was from the happy menu. My favorite thing was the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls I believe that's the name. Two visit review: We went here a week and ago early on a Sunday. There wasn't a wait. Service was a little slow, but I chalked it up to having to do with the large menu. The menu was huge and a bit overwhelming. I opted for the portobello sandwich with truffle fries. I also ordered the cold brew old-fashioned. As another reviewer said, they don't list prices of the cocktails, which makes you wonder if you're going to end up with a $15+ drink. The sandwich was okay, the fries tasted a little old, and the cocktail was good. My husband ordered a sandwich. He doesn't remember what it was, so it wasn't exactly memorable. Everything just being okay made me wonder if we just ordered the wrong things off the gigantic menu. I was willing to give them another try. We returned, and I put our name in. I gave my name and number in my party. The hostess gave me the wait time after. I said the wait seemed kind of long, and the hostess didn't say anything else, so I walked away, assuming (my fault) they'd just call our name. We decided to have a seat at the bar, seeing there wasn't room on their one waiting area bench, there was a 40 minute wait, and it was raining outside. I decided to check on how they would notify us our table was ready. She said she needed a phone number. No one mentioned that to me when I gave them my name and party number, so now our wait was extendedZ I came back to the bar, and we started to order when another employee promptly came over and told us we couldn't have our infant by the bar. I asked about the couple who was just there with the stroller, and he said he couldn't be on our laps, but if they're in a stroller that's fine. He quoted ABC. So, I got a high chair for him and put him in that for the time being, seeing there was a 40 minute wait and nowhere else to go. Not very family friendly. I ordered the cold brew old-fashioned again (it was good!) and some potato skins (advertised as $5 bar bites). Husband ordered a beer. After 10 minutes, we found out they didn't have it. He ordered another, and we were told they were replacing the keg. 20 minutes later and still no beer for the husband, and our table was ready. We were seated. Husband finally ordered his beer. The waitress asked for his license. He produce it in his wallet. (There's a crack in it, but the barcode is clean, and he hasn't ever had a problem at any other restaurant or an ABC.) The server told us they couldn't serve him because of it. Husband asked if they can scan the barcode - and they couldn't - they just told us they wouldn't serve him (despite the earlier attempt at service). After all this, we just decided to leave. It ended up being quite a raincloud on our evening. The total bill was $22 for one cocktail and $5 bar bites potato skins. You can do the math on the unadvertised cocktail prices. Needless to say, we won't be back. And I regret suggesting to my husband that we give them a second chance. I should've went with my gut. read more

Excellent--my wife and I didn't know anything about this place and decided on a whim to check it out. We're glad we did. Huge menu reminded us of Cheesecake Factory, but we liked just about everything about this place better. Had fried pickles for appetizer; they were the best we've had in a long time. I had street food...three tacos from a long list, and they were okay. Wife, however, had Louisiana chicken which was amazing. Crunchy but juicy with good spice, served on really cheesy tortellini in a rich creamy creole sauce. Good beer and wine options. Friendly and attentive server. Visited this place for the first time tonight and have to say I'm not impressed. I arrived at 9:15 Sunday after a long day of travel and was looking forward to meeting a friend for drinks and dinner. I was seated in the bar area and proceeded to wait 30 minutes before my server came to the table. Other servers kept just walking by and not asking if I had been helped. Other tables who had been there longer were just walking to the bar since they had no service either. Keep in mind, this was 9pm on a Sunday and there were a grand total of maybe 15 people total in the place. Once our server finally arrived, he was brand new and knew absolutely nothing about the menu. We had to spell beer names and point on the menu for food items we wanted. Each drink order took 10-15 minutes to get to us despite seeing the bartenders just standing around doing nothing. All told, the drinks were ok, the food was ok, the service was bad. Places these days think they can just charge premium prices for everything and then put no time in to the kind of service that should accompany premium prices. Invest a little time and money in your training process and don't let a new server who has no clue work a 8 table section when you are a new place trying to make a good impression read more

I am not sure how this place got 5 stars...but THANKS FOR THE FALSE ADVERTISING! From start to finish it was horrible. We called ahead for a party of 7, was told there was no wait and wa stood if there was a wait we would be put on a "priority" seating. Well after 30 minutes of waiting once we arrived and watching party of after party being sat, and being told "just waiting on your table to pay so we can seat you" we finally said something. Then the employee wanted to try to squeeze us in a bar table. Well how convenient considering one, we cannot squeeze into anything not should we when we are paying good money to pay to eat out and two we have kids with us (who are eating off the adult menu) but do not want to sit in the bar area! Then the fun really starts! Our waitress leaves mid meal! We get some makeshift waitress who forgets about us! Never brings us our second round of bar drinks or other drinks nor does she EVER COME BACK TO TAKE OUR FOOD ORDER!!!! Do not waste your time or money! Not bad place. PROS: location, free parking, lighting, and the menu. The menu is large enough for EVERY guest's taste buds...the drink menu would probably take you an entire year going every day to try ALL of the beer, wines, and cocktails listed! Customer service was pretty good! Food was good not to die for but good and I LOVE the idea they use a lot of local places on the menu. CON: So I am that Yelper that ALWAYS check EVERY Check-Ins bathroom...so there is not visible signage for the bathrooms. I almost walked into the kitchen. I was told a lot of customers did what I did. Also, the Bathroom is a little dark, and only 2 stalls. The server Jason was amazing but the food was awful. Barley any spinach in the spinach dip. We had cold fries mixed in with hot fires. Orange chicken lacked flavor and sauce. Pre- COVID and around the time outside dining opened, this was my go-to place. The food is amazing, but the service is suffering, and I can't even attribute it to them being short-staffed. The last few times I've visited, I had trouble getting serviced. They seat you and completely forget you are even there. The last time they literally forgot about me, so I had to flag down a server. Today I wasn't even offered a glass of water. I understand kitchen delays and delays in getting alcoholic beverages, but I should at least be able to get a glass of water within a reasonable time of being seated. The first visit here was 4 stars, but after the second I had to bring it down a notch. If you are vegan, definitely get the impossible burger. The other vegan dish (ravioli) is less than exciting. I ate it, but only because I was hungry. My husband got a bang bang shrimp dish that he also wasn't crazy about. I think if you order the right thing here, you will have a delicious experience. Also of note, the waitstaff has been very helpful and accommodating on every visit. A very welcoming and upscale atmosphere for a mall restaurant. Recommendations so far: the impossible burger and vegan chocolate cupcake from me, and the fish and chips and fries from hubby. We will come back and give them another try, but only for those items. :) read more

Had high hopes for this place as just a good solid, American food option in the Springfield area. However, it is a glorified Chili's but with a better beer menu. I appreciated the wide menu and there were so many entrees that interested me but the quality of food was very ehh. It wasn't terrible but same level as a Friday's or typical chain restaurant so I wouldn't be compelled to ever come back. We ordered the meatball burrata app which was decent flavor but the meatball was cold. For entrees, I got the tacos (shrimp, fish, and lobster- lobster one was a joke esp for an extra $2.99 lobster upcharge)which were eh and my husband got the steak fajitas. Again, not disgusting but probably should have just gone to Chuy's next door. I would maybe go back for happy hour and just stick with a pretzel and a cocktail. read more

Just ate lunch there for the first time. Interior feels like a sports bar but there is a seating area behind the bar that feels more like a restaurant. Menu is huge (12 pages or something)... definitely a bit overwhelming. But it's a cool concept: a from scratch kitchen using a variety of locally sourced ingredients. I got the southern fried chicken, which came with Asiago mashed potatoes, corn, and a creamy bacon gravy. It was delicious, albeit a little too salty. My dad had the brunch quesadilla and it was HUGE. Probably 4-6 eggs inside! His came with home fries. We opted against ordering something for my 3 year old (the kids menu is equally expansive), and were glad bc we had more than enough to share. Portions are huge and price is reasonable. We had the s'mores for dessert, and it was just your standard s'mores tray... cooked over a sterno. The cocktail selection was also lengthy, but none of the drinks had prices, and we were off-put by that. The iced tea was really nice though!Service was slow; we didn't even SEE our server until we had been seated for 13 minutes. That was really the only thing that kept this from being a 5 star review. This is by far the best restaurant at Springfield Town Center! We have been there at least six times since they opened and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. Most recently my wife and I went there for "date night" dinner and were not disappointed. I had the BEST Sheppard's Pie I have ever had including "authentic Irish" Sheppard's Pie made by my sister in law while visiting her in Dublin Ireland. (Sorry sis. ). They have a very nice beer on tap selection and a very extensive menu, but not too extensive to be overwhelming like the Cheese Cake Factory menu. Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

We decided to go back for a 2nd visit and have to say the experience was awful. Our first drinks didn't arrive until after we had finished our appetizers. Even then some drinks didn't come at all. We had to ask our server because it seemed the bar forgot. The meals came out, but one was wrong. I'll give points to the server for noticing, but the correct meal didn't come until after the rest of the table had already finished eating. We were told the drinks would come off the menu, but they didn't. It was very disappointing meal. I also notice you get a gift card for nice reviews, but only excuses for reviews like this. My previous review was an optimistic 3-star. This is more accurate. 2 stars because the food is decent. I still wouldn't recommend it. read more

This place is awesome! We stopped here for dinner last night on our way home from a DC volleyball tournament. We shared an appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip. YUM...it came with lots of dippers (veggies, homemade potato chips, tortilla chips and bread). My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger and he was in heaven. My daughter ordered the Caesar salad and margherita pizza combo and she was super happy. I ordered the 3 taco meal...please try the fried avocado taco...it was amazing!!! Also they make a mango jalapeno margarita .. TO DIE FOR!!!! My daughter also ordered the lava cake for dessert and her sweet tooth was completely satisfied. Sorry guys. We were not impressed. The floor is slippery. We witnessed several guests slip on the floor, the server almost slipped while bringing the food. Ladies, leave your heals at home. The fries are cooked in the same oil as gluten free fish and chips. Be aware of this if you have a fish or shellfish allergy. The fries were hard, greasy and unappetizing. The menu is complex and overwhelming. Briana is the best thing here. Her service and knowledge of the menu is amazing. Don, who is a manager from the corporate office, was more interested in having personal conversations with guests and justifying the slippery floor rather than listening to our concerns. He also was not very welcoming and unapologetic for the service and food. Overall, I am sure some items were great but my experience was not the best and I can not recommend a visit here. There were a few couples and 9/5 workers chatting. Nothing too wild. DRINKS: Spicy Mango Margarita - fruity with spicy jalapeño after taste. It has a chili salt/Old Bay rim which I enjoyed. It also got me tipsy which I like even more. John Daly - basically Arnold Palmer and vodka. It was definitely lighter fair, not too memorable. FOOD: Bar Bite Fried Calamari - tasty, but nothing innovative unless you pay extra for jalapeño or bleu cheese. Bar Bite Eggplant Fries - tastes like the breaded zucchini at the next-door Zen Burger, but less greasy or salty. PRICE: $32.34 - I have a big gripe, Happy Hour drink prices don't extend past 6:00 PM here. VERDICT: Not bad if you're looking for the standard middle-America bar experience. There's a TGI Friday's down the road, and I have no reason to go there now that Maggie McFly's has popped up. I'll be back for dinner and another margarita. read more

I can only review my experience, which does not include drinks or food. We went there for happy hour and read online that discounted prices were only available in the bar. Since it was my first time there, I asked an employee if the booths and tables around the perimeter of the bar area were considered the bar. She told me yes and gave me a menu. The menu has many pages, but I didn't see the menu for happy hour. The bartender pointed to the bar and told us that we had to move the two yards to the bar seat in order to get the discount. The restaurant was no way near full, there were only about four parties in the entire restaurant. We tried to go along with what we considered an absurd "rule" and went to the bar. The happy hour menu wasn't the same as what we saw online - I'm pretty sure I saw sangria. When asked about this, the bartender proceeded to tell us what "locally sourced" meant and we were more than likely looking at the happy hour menu for Connecticut. I guess he felt compelled to talk to us that way because we looked like idiots? The menu indicated a certain amount taken off for "specialty drinks". I asked the astute bartender if the specialty drinks were identified as such. The last straw was when I didn't see what was considered specialty drinks and he didn't help us. We left without ordering and went to our staple, The Yard House. Guess what? The Yard House was crowded and we could get happy hour prices at ANY table in the restaurant. First time here. Quite an extensive menu; however, the service is poor. At 3 pm on a Friday, the restaurant is empty. The hostess wasn't welcoming, and the server was worse. 2 adults and two kids. It took him 15 minutes to take our order, and he wouldn't answer any questions about the menu. Kids were hungry, so I asked if we could get their food ahead of ours. His response was, "it will be ready soon; I don't make the food." I am sure he saw the shock on my face. He was a little more pleasant when he returned with our food. The food was good. This was my first time coming here. I was actually amazed by the array of options they have on the menu. From tacos and burgers to salads and pastas! My friend and I started out with the giant pretzel and we initially ordered the steak eggrolls but ended up with the Texmex. No biggie, they were still delicious... or we were just extremely greedy this day I'm not huge on bready foods like pretzels but my friend AND ordered it and to my surprise, it was very good with the two different sauces provided! I had to slow down so that I could enjoy my entree. I ordered the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp (thanks to my fellow Yelpers suggestions it did not disappoint! VERY delicious and so many savory flavors mixed into one dish. HIGHLY recommend. Also, (not pictured) suggest their lemonades. As stated in previous reviews the theme is locally procured produce, and the kitchen is "from scratch" which means nothing you order comes out of a freezer. Their menu is extremely large, which made me slightly nervous because surely you can't be excellent at everything. Their kids menu was pretty broad, and most items were $6. I had the Cajun Jambalaya which was $18. I will tell you that Jambalaya is my all time favorite item, and they hit a home run with it. Christine was our waitress and she was from a northern branch of the chain which is owned by one man. Came here for the first time under the impression (incorrectly) they had brunch on Saturday and Sunday - it's Sunday only. This left me with a disappointed 8 year old. Our server asked us to wait a minute before leaving and came back offering to make my child waffles. Incredible customer service! The waffle (I'm told) was delicious. I had a coffee and it was a very good cup of coffee. The atmosphere is somewhere between trendy restaurant and bar. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the floors and dining areas.
