This is my second time going to this establishment attached to the Springfield Mall. It's what you would expect. Bar food with tvs and lively individuals who seem to be regulars. The menu has plenty of options which can appear overwhelming to some. Similar to a Cheesecake Factory menu, just lower quality. The food was ok. It came out timely but was not very flavorful or satisfying. I did the cheesesteak egg rolls and the short rib tacos. The egg rolls were too bread-y and definitely needed the cheese sauce that you dip them in to make it for enjoyable to eat. The short rib tacos had a good chunk of meat, but missed the mark for a great fun taco. I would definitely come here if my goal was to watch football, get drunk and eat with friends, just not for an experience. read more

Date of visit: July 31, 2022 This is NOT an attempt to get a free visit in the future. Consider the $500+ spent a DONATION to Maggie McF***ery's, which FYSA: is a "Great Value" Cheesecake Factory. The menu showcases specific ingredients sourced "wherever by whomever," but the items completely missed the mark. There was ZERO love, freshness or flavor. Most of our plates were missing ingredients, side orders never came out, flat cocktails...all kinds of things. Crab Hash had a tiny amount of (what appeared to be) minced meat. Goat Cheese-Veggie Omelette had literally ZERO goat cheese. To-Go orders of what was supposed to be Shrimp and Vegetable Risotto were simply rice and shrimp thrown into a container. Old Fashioned came out watery looking like it sat awhile, and did not have a proper ice block. Most of the other cocktails came out flat, or just wrong. I felt bad for our server, who handled our communications with sheer grace (shout-out to Anthony). The MOST CRITICAL issue was the way (I'm assuming was the Kitchen) Management on duty handled grievances. Instead of being met with a "How can we make this right?" approach, we were met with a nasty attitude. The person had the NERVE to say: "Maybe you ate it already?" in reference to the aforementioned Crab Hash, and gave a lame excuse about portion size when there was no portion. Excuse my language, but: What the kind of sh** is that?! THIS is the kind of person your business places in charge AND in front of customers? SHAMEFUL. Side note: there was a couple behind us who waited a long time to be acknowledged, so they left. Clearly my party's situation isn't isolated. The service plain SUCKED. Everyone in our party has a leadership role in their occupations and/or communities, and would never approach customers or clients with that kind of push back. Your job is to provide products/services, AND gain repeat business by satisfying customers. We were direct, but polite when voicing concerns, because we were PAYING CUSTOMERS. To say the experience was disappointing is an understatement. I simply hope this "suggestion" of a business takes heed, and a closer look at who they hire going forward (let's not hold our breath). read more

Our most recent visit (9/16) to Maggie McFly's was awesome! We were a party of 6 and were seated right away. We started with the short rib poutine, chefs kiss! The meat is tender and seasoned well, the fries were crispy and not soggy, and there wasn't an overpowering amount of cheese. The whole appetizer is gluten free, which was a great option for our group! I had my tried and true Wagyu burger and it certainly didn't let me down this time. Perfectly cooked and the flavors work so well together. I also tried a piece of my son's pizza. Usually the kids meals don't taste as good as the regular meals, but this pizza was actually really good. The Carne Asada Hanger steak usually comes with rice and beans, but you can substitute any of the other regular sides if you don't want the rice and beans. We've sometimes had service that wasn't as great as we know it can be, but our experience this time was fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly. She brought extra napkins without us having to ask for them (that's a big deal for our sometimes messy eaters) and made sure we were happy with our food more than once. Recently dined here on a girls trip, I was late to arrive so I can only vouch for the service I received, which was decent. The menu was quite expansive, I was impressed. Food was moderately priced and had good presentation. Service was a little slow on the drinks, and it was a loud environment, but perfect for the occasion. This restaurant is located inside a very busy mall however they have their own entrance outside. I wish I would have been hungrier because they had a bit of interesting menu choices. However I only ordered soup. I don't foresee myself being in this area again but if I was I would dine here again. read more

I thought it looked interesting. This is my second visit here but the first one didn't go so well. It was a few months ago. Anyway first visit I didn't leave a review but I ordered a salad and the dressing was off (did not carry French which is my preference). My husband had a burger and wasn't thrilled. I said well let's try it again. We were seated fairly fast. Nobody came for a bit. 5 min or more later another couple was seated and the waiter came by and introduced himself and asked about drinks/appetizers, then turned to us and asked us. We got unsweet teas (we put Splenda in). They got the sugar we did not. We asked for some but never got it. When the food came we asked the person who brought the order and they got it immediately (took seconds). We ordered pretzel burgers. Fries were cold and unremarkable and the burgers were so soggy the bottom blew out... Bacon too chewy I took it off. No paper napkins/extra napkins or I could have put my burger on it to absorb all that liquid. Anyway, the funnies part was we did not complain. We tipped 20% and left (I was not feeling well). I ate half my burger and about 1/4 of my fries (hubby at most of the rest he'll eat anything I guess). I didn't have to complain, the couple across from us explained all I told you here to the manager..... who never came over to ask us if true or anything..... Anyway, they have a huge menu, lots of drinks to choose from. You can get seafood, burgers, steak, salad, even Mexican food and other odd things here. It's a large varied menu so I'm sue you can find SOMETHING on there. Doesn't mean it's great though. I didn't think you could mess up burgers or salads but apparently you can. So second strike from them. I sometimes give it a third try before I count them out. But one more strike and you're out! Can I suggest something? Paper napkins for laying a greasy burger on or drain the burger a little before putting it on the bun... carry French dressing. most people I know that is their number one complaint about salads. Lastly, stop trying to be fancy when you're not. Be you and stop trying to make a gourmet burger? Just make a burger people can customize. Have a plain salad... you know one like a chef's salad or a chicken Ceasar or a big salad with just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and maybe cheese or something else (croutons). Sometimes we just like plain food and don't need things to sound fancy..... just gooooood food. Went to Maggie's for an early birthday dinner. Wait wasn't too long. Service was okay. Order the quinoa salad delicious also order the simply salmon with broccolini and brown rice and that came with a side of hair. We notified our waiter who in turn notified the manager who was on duty Brenna, I believe that was her name. My guest felt uncomfortable with his food and in return asked the waiter to take it back, which is understandable. Brenna, the manager walks over to our table and says "what's up" as if we are friends. We told her that there was hair in my food, she says " yea, I saw that" and proceeds to ask why my guess did not want his food. He explains, and let's her know that he is uncomfortable eating his food and no longer wants it. Mind you, the food runner had just dropped off our food maybe 10-15 min earlier. The only person who offered and apology was out server. The manager on duty Brenna just handed us the check and said well... here's your check and walked away. Visited last weekend w my family and a friend and her son. Food was delicious my girl really enjoyed her entree which i placed a pic of it below however, the service wasn't so great. The server had no personality at all, barely checked on us and took forever to bring out our drinks. I would understand if it was busy but tbh it was quiet slow! My food came out before one of my kids and our friends burger took the longest. We had to bring it to his attention for everything to be brought out. Food was great service not so much which is really sad cause it definitely takes away from wanting to go back. Omg!! I can't believe I forgot to leave a review for this place! Initially came here on a lunch date with my wife while my parents were in town and it was our first time; our server Autumn was amazing! The menu here is expansive, so I had narrowed down a few food options and she helped me choose the ribs (which were amazing!!!). We opted for the deviled eggs (not the best but not bad) and a cauliflower dip for starters. I didn't really read the menu for the dip and expected fried cauliflower, but was pleasantly surprised when the dip came out with chips. It was a tad bland for our taste, but once we added some hot sauce it was jammin!! They even bring out courtesy garlic bread... needless to say when my food came out I wasn't even hungry anymore but still has to try everything while it was hot and everything was amazing! The ribs fell right off the bone and my wife loved her blackened salmon (even I enjoyed it!). We also enjoyed some delicious adult libations (I'm looking at you raspberry mule!) The service was incredible, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable... everything I want when I get some precious time away. I loved this place so much I asked about having a party here and they accommodated my work Christmas party (about 24 people) and everyone's raves about the food and service!!! By some struck of luck Autumn was our server again and tracked everyone by what they were wearing (ugly sweater party). Unfortunately, this is a rating update, I went here twice recently and it just did not live up to a five star review any longer. The food was bland- we had to salt both of our dishes heavily to have ANY flavor. I took a picture of the fish and chips (gluten free style) and the picture looks just like it tasted; boring. The other dish was Crusted Chicken Romano- a pasta dish that needed salt! The bar service was great- but they now put glowing ice cubes in martinis and didn't chill the glass. I came here after a yoga class I went to in DC. It was hard to make a decision with such great sounding restaurants, but we ended up with Maggie mcfly, and were not disappointed! They had slightly healthy options, which was great! We got buffalo cauliflower to start, which was fabulous, not too spicy! Perfectly crisped up! The taco meal was huge! You could pick each of the tacos you wanted with that, then it came with two sides, a quinoa medley and rice. I had the cauliflower crust pizza, which was great! Not too heavy, but just enough. The mozzarella tasted very fresh, I could have lived without the basil but thats because I don't love strong flavors. The brussel sprouts burger was good, but could have used more sprouts! Everything was delicious and our server was not only friendly and knowledgeable, but also funny and helpful! We've walked by this place many times and wondered why nobody was there while all the restaurants around them are jammed. We finally decided to try our luck and give them a fair chance. There was no host at the hostess desk for about five minutes because he was busy trying to also be a server. The host was very nice and seated us in the bar area as requested where we set for the next 10 to 15 minutes being completely ignored. Nobody brought water. Nobody checked on us there seem to be only a couple servers, but there was hardly anybody in the place. One of the menus was absolutely disgusting with food and drink smeared all over it. We kept looking up looking around, trying to get eye contact with anybody and just finally left. This is after two or three servers walked right by our table and didn't even make eye contact. There's a reason why nobody comes here. Horrible service. With is an extensive menu as they have in such a high dollar area. There is no excuse for this kind of service. Somebody needs to completely reset the entire staff structure maybe a new manager. read more

Update: 15/Nov/2019 I'm done with this place. I gave it another shot because my roommate really enjoys the food here. I ordered the dim sum platter. It's not dim sum. In fact, there is only one actual dim sum on the plate. You get 6 actual dim sums, two egg rolls sliced in half, and some overcooked bone-in bbq ribs. Then I ordered the $6 red velvet cupcake. As you can see in the description, it may justify a $6 price tag. The second picture is what I actually got. Not stuffed. No cheesecake toppings. Not rolled in sanding sugar. I mentioned this to a guy who looked like was the bar manager and he started arguing with me. I pointed to the menu and said "I'm not paying $6 for half a dessert". Shit made me so mad. This spot is among one of the many restaurants outside Springfield Mall so it can get quite busy but we had a great experience here. They had outdoor seating which was great during COVID, and they had outdoor heating for our table when it got cold outside. It was the perfect ambience for an evening meal. We tried one of their seasonal entrees to share as an appetizer around the table and it was absolutely amazing. It was a while back, but I think it was a squash flavored ravioli they featured in the fall. It was sweet, savory, soft, and hearty all at the same time. We all agreed we would come back in the fall just for that dish if they serve it again next year. I ordered one of their salads, which was bigger than my face. It was heaped with toppings and fried shrimp with a generous amount of dressing. I almost can't believe I finished it. We had a great meal here and would definitely come back for more. read more

I visited Maggie McFly's today for lunch and it was my first visit. Went with my coworkers because we always went to the same lunch spot so let's try something new. The menu is vast. I ordered the Beer Batter Chicken Strips (fried) and when they arrived I thought they were very dark in color. Took a bite and it was very dry I could only eat two of the five. I mentioned to the wait staff that they were over fried. She was kind enough to bring me something else but everyone else was done eating at that point. In addition the fries were average at best. They tasted as if they had been re-fried after sitting. Would not recommend the chicken strips. read more

Both times I got sat at the bar booth near the exit like I requested, the hosts are all very nice. But these 2 occasion will forever scared me from ever coming back. -Decided to come the first time to have a nice meal with the wife but got ruined by this lady yelling at one of the employees. Apparently the girl that got yelled at is a manager, her name is Brianna or Brenna. What we heard from the lady was she snatched menus off of this disabled girl that worked there and was being rude to her. Im glad she got told off by this lady because if I was this girls parent, I'd be fuming if a person treated my kid like this. -The second time we came was around lunch time, there was only 1 girl at the door and she seemed very stressed since they were busy. We got sat after waiting for a few minutes for our table to be wiped. The server came and took our order just fine and was nice to us. But what is unacceptable is that our food was cold when it got to our table and we waited about 30 minutes for it. No one came by to apologize to us, I even saw this white bald guy with the white shirt chilling at the bar talking to people and never once came by to check up on us. -Management here seems really bad because all their employees look like they don't even want to work here and they seem to be short staffed both time I came. This was disgusting food that cost us $100. First time here and will never return. The menu is ginormous which means everything is frozen. The calamari was freezer burnt and then cooked to the point of beyond recognition. French onion soup was from a can with barely melted cheese, arrived luke warm. My lobster Mac had 3 nickel size pieces of lobster, no panko crumb topping per the menu, and cheese whiz for the sauce. My partner's shrimp and scallops pasta was just sad, limp and also luke warm. We came in a for a very late lunch, 3:30pm and the place was near empty. We couldn't get our waiter to actually attend to us and he only had one other seated table. First time here. Noticed immediately they were understaffed. Waiting to even put our name on the waiting list since the person that was at the host stand went to the bar and started making drinks. Luckily the 20 mins quoted was about correct. Once seated waitress said they were very understaffed. Nonetheless, we still ordered the margarita flight (3). With that we ordered appetizers and kids meals and adult meals. The apps and kids food came out about surprisingly quick but wait time but the margarita flights didn't come out until after we finished appetizers and right before our meals were served. Since they were understaffed I think they rushed to make the flights... the presentation of the drinks could have definitely been better. I believe the hibiscus marg was supposed to have a flower on it and the spicy one some Tajin on the rim. Brussels sprouts were delicious and so were the meat ball appetizer and the deviled eggs. I was let down by the burgers. we had the egg and bacon burger and the wagyu burger. We sat at a booth by the bar so we could see the TVs. The booth was spacious and very comfortable. There were plenty of options for drinks and food. My Line Sisters and I came here to celebrate our Founders Day. We went on a weekday so it wasn't super busy which was a plus. First thought - the menu is massive!! So many things I wanted to try!! I finally decided on the shrimp and asparagus risotto. It was delicious -- plenty of shrimp, great flavor, it just wasn't really risotto....more like a rice bowl. It was still delicious so still a good choice. Drinks were delicious and the blinking ice cube was an awesome touch. We ended the night with some desserts. Unfortunately they were sold out of some of the cupcake choices, but the cinnamon roll cheesecake was delicious!! We'd definitely come back to this restaurant - the brunch menu looks like it's worth a try. I wanted to try this restaurant because I saw a review of it on TicTok and it was highly recommended. I was happy it wasn't crowded the day we went. Our server was awesome! He made every attempt to make the experience better but the food and drinks were a disappointment. First, they have the biggest menu with a range of options. But I remembered what some cooking shows say about restaurants with A-LOT of options. Second, I wanted to try their whisky and margarita flights. Both were still advertised on the menu but they weren't offering the whiskey flight at the time. The Margarita flight was pretty but tasted like sweet and sour mix without liquor. And we tried the sangria flight which tasted like juice. Back to the food. I looked online to see what I saw customers posting because I assumed that item may be the better option. I was terribly wrong. I got the pot roast, mashed potatoes, and corn. The driest and tasteless pot roast and mashed potatoes I ever tasted. I can normally suck it up and eat something because I don't want to waste food but I had to send that back. I then tried the spicy Jambalaya which was all spicy hot but no flavor. I couldn't win that night. Their salmon with a side of Brussels spouts were good but the Brussels spouts was missing the maple smoked bacon ‍. We went to Maggie's on 8/18 As a huge foodie my fiancé and I have been to many of restaurants but Maggie's just climbed to the top of our favorite food list. I will start with our server: his name was Italo and he was super awesome very knowledgeable on the entire menu, which if you've been to Maggie's you know it's not a small menu. He was not over baring and left us to explore our options and was very helpful in our choices. Our appetizer: calamari with blue cheese and jalapeños. This was the worst part of our meal even with the blue cheese and jalapeños it was bland not a lot of flavor due to the batter used for the calamari. Our main dishes: I got the bacon and egg burger medium rare. It was a tad too rare as if they only grilled the burger for seconds to brown it, and the egg was a bit over done I love my burgers red but that was not medium rare and prefer my egg runny but it was tasty and I still enjoyed it. The fries were very good, most places screw up fries but these were perfect. My fiancé got the chicken garlic pasta and added shrimp, which was amazing. It was perfectly seasoned and was a lot of food he took home the left overs and had it later that night and even hours later warmed up in the microwave was perfect. I'm giving Maggie's 5 stars even though all the food was not perfect our server was definitely worth the five stars. And yes we will return , the first visit your not always bound to get the right things and with all that Maggie's offers we can't wait to explore more of this amazing menu. Why is the kitchen always closed. Always even well before their "we stop serving food an hour early rule" I've tried calling and placing orders online and it's always the kitchen's closed. Why don't you close the restaurant and then we won't need to worry about if you're serving food. In general I try to eat here because it's better than something from a drive thru but the price and limitations make it hard to even be a patron. Omg so good! And it's huge! We got full off the appetizer, so didn't make it to the meals. Had room for the cinnamon bun cheesecake. It's small but great. My only ehhh moment was my second drink. Cooked medium because there isn't any other way to eat a burger. It was amazing. The egg was sunny side up! Nothing like a good runny egg! After finishing my burger in what felt like two bites. My husband and I were in the area and figured we'd give this new place a try. The ambiance is great, and we love the music. The menu is the size of a Cheesecake Factory menu, but they've got basically every food desire covered. They also have a great beer selection and a ton of cocktail options. Luckily, my husband knew what he wanted. I didn't, but they had she-crab soup. Basically a requirement for me to order it if it's on any menu, and they did it justice. I was very impressed with the soup, and I've had plenty after living in the Tidewater region. The lemon basil gimlet I ordered was delicious and super refreshing. My husband was pleased with his beer, sweet potato fries, and ribs, but the mac and cheese fell short. The maple bacon saved it, but the noodles weren't salted, and it really didn't have much cheese. Also, the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls we ordered were quite greasy and bland. Regarding the food, I'd say overall execution was above average and some items were far better than others. Unlike other reviewers, we were blessed with the best server - Chico. From a customer service perspective, he's amazing and very sharp. I went in for a beer and a snack. Decent place, not too crowded, and there was room at the bar. Typical beer selection, no complaints there. I ordered the crispy potato skins for an appetizer. It took longer than I was expecting and when they arrived I figured out why. Instead of crispy potato skins there were three half-potatoes on the plate. These were dressed up like loaded baked potatoes with bacon, green onions (chives), and lots of cheese. I like baked potatoes, so I dug in. Unfortunately, there was so much grease the skins were anything but crispy. Also, because they didn't scoop out any of the potato, it was undercooked. I ended up scraping some of the potato out from under the cheese and left that on the plate. I probably should have complained, but that's always a risk when there's food involved. Horrible experience Friday June 27. We have been long time customers of Maggies. Normally treated well and very nice staff. Last night arrived about 7 pm. There were several tables empty outside and inside. So wife and I sat down at an outside table. Waited about 10 minutes but no service. So asked a server in the area for service and menus-- got an "ok". But 10 minutes later still no service and no menus. So I went inside to get front desk to get us service. I was rudely informed by woman at front desk "we dont do self seating" - I said "ok-- I am here now?!?" And then rudely informed there was a 45 minute wait!! But there was only 3 people waiting in waiting area and several tables open inside and 5 tables open outside. So I pointed this out to the front desk lady and asked for quicker seating at one of the several open tables which she refused with a smirk. So we left and not happy with long wait and rude and unacceptable treatment by front desk and inattentive servers. read more

This place is about quantity, not quality! I have been here twice and was disappointed by the food both times. I can conclude that The food is at this place is flavorless. The first I went I ordered the roasted Turkey. Ugh the whole Dish was sooo bland, especially the veggies. Frozen corn is such a fail especially since it's recently summertime. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was what I ordered. But I went again a second time. I had the tacos - 1 cod, 1 chicken, and 1 korean beef. Again, absolutely no flavor... If I was the management, I would be ashamed to be putting out such dishes. In the tacos, the only thing that was seasoned was the salsa. The cabbage isn't seasoned. the meat isn't seasoned. They had no sauce or dressing. The only thing this places does decent is fried bar food. read more

Excellent dinner here tonight for an early birthday celebration. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. I think the deserts could have been a tad better-they were a little dry and you could tell they had been sitting in that front case awhile. Service was outstanding! Our waiter checked on us several times, always made sure our drinks were full, and when we bombarded him with questions regarding the menu(soooo many options), he was able to answer everything! Holy Crap! Service was attentive, and management friendly....but silverware was filthy....food was limp and sorta gross...drinks from the bar took foooorrreverrrrrrr at mid day and not busy. Will not be back. read more

This place is a great night cap location. Came across it on a trip to Washington, D.C. but stayed in Virginia. Crossed over to the mall after our flight came in. Glad we chose this place. Great service! Amazing music! And the bar was great. The food specials were great as well. Would definitely go back. read more
