Got their seasonal salted pistachio matcha and caramel macchiato; they were just ok. The matcha was too sweet (the person who helped me did ask if 4 shots were ok, but I just said yes without realizing she meant for the sweetener) and the caramel macchiato was average, coffee itself was strong but burnt. Was disappointed because this place had such good reviews! Inside is a little old and outdated.

Came here this weekend with my little grumpy old grandma and the staff was wonderful. We ordered 2 chocolate muffins to go, as well and croissants, an Americano coffee for her and I ordered the strawberry matcha. Drinks were good, the food stood out here!! Croissants were delicious, the ham and jalapeno one is amazing. It's been days and I keep thinking of it. lol The chocolate muffins were beautifully displayed and when we heated them up later to enjoy, we were in awe!! This place is so good Definitely going to stop in again!

This is one of my favorite coffee places in Natomas. They serve quality every time I purchase a cup. The service is always on par, and the food items have always looked fresh. My favorite food item here is the turkey and Swiss croissant with jalapeños. The coffee shop is located in a plaza by the competition ( a boba shop) but they really made it a local gem!

Maestro continues to be a solid choice for coffee in the Natomas area. I tend to stop in while running errands in this area. There's plenty of parking in the plaza lot and the team working here is always friendly and greets customers as they walk in. The menu is extensive, and I love that on top of the regular options they always have specialty drink options that keep things fun and fresh. There's a good amount of seating inside that works for different groups. You can stop by for a meeting, get some work done, hang out with friends or grab and go.

I wanted to love this coffee The baristas are SO nice and the shop is so cute. Service is fast. I ordered a cold brew with rose and rose cold foam but can't taste any rose. Maybe they forgot? I'll come give em a shot later this week and if it's different.

Staff was welcoming and warm. Food was amazing! Peaceful spot if you want to get some work done or read a book. Staff was very knowledgeable:)

Everything about this coffee place is awesome! Looking at it from the outside, you don't get to the banner is covered once you walk in and smell the aroma you fall in love! Coffee was amazing , the bagel was even better! Staff was friendly and I will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the tiramisu mocha drink i ordered. I also bought the coconut pineapple cake slice. The drink was delicious and I wished I had gotten the large cup after I was finished. The cake had good flavor but very dry. I'm not sure if it was vegan or cooked with other ingredients than traditional flour. I would need to have ice cream with it if I bought it again. There was an instance that I noticed while there and that was an employee who didn't wash their hands after handling a trash bag. Otherwise experience was not bad.

This is the best vanilla latte I've ever had in sac !! I was shook! Will def be coming back.

Passed by the area and needed a cup of coffee. It was quite inside, great place to get some work done while you sip on a cup of coffee. I ordered a Banana Bread Iced Latte with Oat Milk. It had the right amount of sweetness. The barista did a great job making the latte. I would definitely go back and try their other drinks!

One of the books in the case and a bonfire latte
Tamara T.

Came from Sacramento airport and was looking for a non chain coffee shop and this was the closest one that appeared in my Yelp search. Got the bonfire latte and it was good. It's like a homey feeling coffee shop with books to grab and read , a TV with the news playing and a long bench with outlets for laptops etc. Feels like a lot of locals come here to meet up and have deep conversations which is nice. I feel like the coffee shops I go to are pretty much for working on a laptop or grab coffee and go. The north is different! Service was excellent, my receipt says Antronette took my order and if so, he was very polite and my order was ready in a few minutes.

The coupon

I usually have a great experience at Maestro's. However this time I walked in with a coupon I had received with a receipt from another store. The coupon says i could get a free coffee with purchase of a second coffee or a breakfast sandwich. I had ordered three coffees all of the same size. The owner comes to tell me that it's printed wrong and that it should say drip coffee not just any coffee. She wasn't offering any type of discount for the misconception or to just honor the coupon for the one time. I understand the coupon being printed out wrong but you can't be falsely advertising either. I got a 2 dollar discount because her kind employee brought up the idea and even then the owner didn't seem the happiest with that. This is not even me trying to not pay full price or anything. It's more about how the owner handled the situation. I wish i got the cashiers name because at least, she was kind enough to get us a small discount to do something about the misconception and apologized, unlike the owner. The owner didn't even say sorry once.

Ask the Community - Maestro Coffee House

I called to see if Maestro's Coffee is open today for New Year's Eve but instead a lady answered who cussed and said stop calling answered the phone, is the phone number not up to date?

I just walked over there. The number is (916) 692-5134. They are open today until 5 and closed New Years Day. They said they didn't get any calls. Maybe misdial? You can call now and talk to Kate 😊

Is this place still open? It seems closed every time I go by.

Yes, I go there almost daily. They open early and are open late too.

Are they really closed? Does anyone know what happened?

There was a notice on their door the day after they left it was a sheriff's eviction notice

Do they serve Thai/ Vietnamese coffee here?

I went by there just a day ago and I saw Thai Coffee on their menu

I think it's entirely worth it; it levels up the banh mi as a lunch sandwich so well and makes it extra filling. Regarding the flavor of the banh mi itself, I think it is a great place. The bread is not too crunchy, so if you prefer that, you may have to go somewhere else. They really fill up these sandwiches with a lot of vegetables and meat, which I like a lot. It's not skimped at all, and adding the egg from home just makes it a bit more filling and tasty. the vibe this place gives off is an in-and-out type of area. You order upfront at the cash register, pay right away, get your food, and then eat at a table. It is nothing too fancy, but it is a nice spot to stop for a quick lunch. The inside is very spacious with many four-seater tables that could be moved together for a large party. They also have a very small grocery market inside that sells sauces, snacks, ramen, and Vietnamese ingredients. Don't expect too much, as it is more of a side feature. I did try their pho before and it was okay; I would rate it around a 3.5 out of 5. There could be other places that are better, but as of now, this place is solid. I give five stars for their banh mi because I keep coming back for them. Additionally, the customer service is top-notch. Now for the food review itself. I ordered a grilled pork bahn mi with added pate, and pork sausage spring rolls. The bahn mi was good, but not the best I ever had. I wish the bread had more of a crispy crust like a traditional bahn mi, instead, the bread was soft. I also wish the grilled pork had a bit more flavor but it was still good. The sausage spring rolls were good but also felt the sausage lacked flavor. However, the peanut sauce was delicious so it really amped up the overall flavor. Interested to try their soups next!

Firehouse's footprint seems to be shrinking a bit these days with a few store closures here & there. So, good to know there's still some dinosaurs still around, lol. This store happens to be right next door to a much busier Chipotle restaurant. I ordered my sleeper menu favorite, the Jamaican Jerk Turkey, large. It's a steamed hot sandwich. Good size. Could likely make 2 meals for all but the biggest of eaters (me), idk? But, a large by itself will set you back now $18.50 w/ tax. Ouchie. And you'll have to shell out a few more bucks on top to make it a combo meal. Essentially obliterating a $20 bill. Chock that up to inflation I suppose? Nearly $20 is about the absolute ceiling of what I'd be willing to pay just about anyplace else for a similar sandwich/meal. Especially considering you can get nearly a multi-course meal at a sitdown restaurant for about the same price (think Applebee's or BJ's Brewhouse as examples). Service was fine here and my sandwich tasted great. The open beverage fountains at Firehouse are among the best in the casual food industry with multiple choices from a higher-tech dispensing machine. Well a fun little hobby of mine is to enjoy participating in birthday freebies that casual dining places like Firehouse Subs offer, but some do come with qualifications-this establishment being one of those and the basic requirements is you have to make at least a $1 purchase 6 months before your birthday and earlier than 7 days before your birthday to qualify for a free medium sub of choice. So it was getting close and I realized I hadn't made a purchase to qualify so after searching the app to find a $1 purchase I realized I was actually kinda hungry so I decided to buy a kids combo for $4.99 and I went with a meatball sandwich. The combo comes with choice of drink or bottled water-I went with water and I think a cookie but I upgraded to the brownie for an additional $1. I ordered from the parking lot so I just walked in and with 4 minutes I had my food was ready. Parking at this location is kinda hectic while also being convenient as they share a lot with many popular businesses so it can get crazy in there but there are so many spots-it balances out. The lobby was nice and clean-plenty of seats-they have my favorite type of soda machine-the one that looks vintage but with the touch screen with the crazy amount of flavor options for your soda-immediately got me thinking " why did I get a bottled water?" I totally forgot they had a hot sauce bar-that used to be one of my favorite things about Firehouse-as a true chili-head,being able to try the different hot sauces was something I always enjoyed. Now let's talk about the food- The brownie was terrible-did not enjoy this at all-in fact I couldn't even finish it-tasted bad and for sure wasn't worth a calorie past the 1st bite-so total dud. The mini sandwich I got was the meatball sub-basically a meatball covered in melted cheese and marinara sauce.I don't know if I could've eaten than thing any faster-I enjoyed it so much-my initial thought was "what was I thinking getting a mini of something so delicious"I wanted more -it was so good-I don't have any critiques-it was super yummy-didn't even need any hot sauces-I really enjoyed it. In closing-mission accomplished-This visit qualified me for the birthday freebie in the future and I honestly enjoyed my little mini treat from Firehouse-I will for sure report at a later date how the birthday freebie experience went-but I'm thinking based on this experience,it's going to be great-Stay Tuned.

Most bagel shops microwave them and it's disgusting stuff that leads to stomach upset. These were freshly scrambled, and they put a huge amount of cream cheese. I don't know if it was the cream cheese or the ketchup, but there was some "kick" to it as well, giving a nice aftertaste of heat. That, a soda and a bag of chips was only $12. Not bad. The store itself was very clean when I arrived and also not overly busy. The workers greeted me when I arrived at my designated time for sandwich pickup and my sandwich was ready. Not sure what happened exactly but the sandwich was kind of soggy when I finally unwrapped it and started eating it. This kind of ruined the texture a bit and the eating experience. The flavors were still banging and I truly liked that part of it but the texture thing kinda brought down the entire meal a notch or two. Overall the location is nice and the employees were efficient and the ease of parking was wonderful-just got a little unlucky with the sandwich. The quest continues. Jersey Mike's is my husband's favorite sandwich spot, so while we were running errands we stopped…read moreby to pick up sandwiches. When we stopped in they were advertising a buy one giant sub get one for 50% off after 5pm. We decided to roll with it and we each ordered a giant. While we were there I noticed they were selling jars of their hot chopped pepper relish, so I picked up one. The team working was friendly and efficient and we were on our way with our sandwiches in no time. The giant sandwiches were giant! It's definitely enough for 2-3 meals depending on how hungry you are. The bread was fresh and soft, they had a good amount of toppings and I loved the hot chopped pepper relish on the sub. If you're looking for a quick meal this is a great option.

If you're a fan of eastern cuisine, this Tibetan lunch spot is a must-visit…read more The Meal: it's really only one thing to choose. I expect they might make a different meal every day and you just go in and order large or small. Those are your choices. They don't have any spicy condiments and I guess that's pretty normal for Himalayan food. They did slice up a jalapeño for me so I was able to get that capsaicin rush that I demand. If you like spicy stuff, I might recommend bringing your own hot sauces. However, I had no idea I was stopping for lunch and I forgot to bring such things (I clear out any food from my car every night due to the bear situation where I live) So, I just bought one of their five dollar hot chili concoctions that appears to have primarily Cayenne peppers and oil in it. There's no ingredients listed on the bottle so I can't tell for sure. This was a great find because one of the few places I've been missing in the Sierra that we had in Santa Cruz is Tibetan Momos. Sadly, these folks did not have any Momo's, ( Himalayan versions of Gyoza ) They do have a large TV on the screen that I didn't notice at first, and it was playing scenes from Tibet almost like a screensaver. But it had photos of lambs and other farm animals. Very cute. Definitely this contributed to the ambience. It'd be cool if they have door seating, but I didn't notice anything of the sort. Anyway, I'm coming back to Sacramento tomorrow so I'll probably eat here again and find out if they do change up the meals. But all in all this was a good experience. I suppose I can check this website too to find out more. https://www.himalayavegan.com

So nice to find a vegan restaurant not too far from home…read more I loved the easy menu style. Basically: do you want a small plate or a big plate? Soup? Dessert? Simple. Best part is all the food is delicious. We started with 2 bowls of mung bean w/ mixed vegetable soup. It was a true creamy soup, so I put my spoon down and drank it out of the bowl. Sorry manners? Then ordered 2 large plates of short grain brown rice, kidney beans w/ onion & garlic, baked yam, kabocha & butternut squash w/ garlic, collard greens and kale w/ shiitake mushroom sauce, and a mixed salad w/ basil lemon & agave dressing. Everything was very good. My favorites were the kidney beans, the yam combo, and the greens with the basil lemon dressing. We also got a Bahn Mi. Loved that it was really full. I don't like a skimpy Bahn Mi. For dessert, we took home slices of Coconut Pie, Chocolate Pie, Key Lime Pie, and the Himalaya Pie (layered with key lime, strawberries, coconut, and drizzled chocolate). My favorite was the Key Lime Pie -- tart and creamy. Then the Chocolate Pie, which was soft and indulgent. The Himalaya Pie was fun because every bite tasted a little different. The only one I didn't care for was the Coconut Pie because the texture was a bit hard from the coconut fat. One of the best things about this place is that they change things up based on what's seasonal. We travel with our dogs and called ahead to ask about outdoor seating. They don't officially have patio seating, but they kindly pulled a table outside for the two of us. They accommodate well-behaved dogs, and there was a great overhang for shade. We felt very comfortable sitting out there, so don't be shy about asking if you're traveling with your pooches. I briefly saw the inside and it was neat and well organized. I also saw someone bring their own container, which I loved. Definitely a spot we'll return to.
