I thought this place was just for charcuterie so I was surprised of how spacious this place was and the variety that they carried. There's sandwiches, baked goods, and wine. I got the build your own charcuterie board. There are 3 sizes to choose from and the quantity of meat and cheese also depends on the size. You can do an add on as well. The small has 1 meat and 1 cheese. The medium has 2 meats and 2 cheese. The large has 4 meats and 4 cheeses. All come with unlimited sides. For my meat, I went with the salami since it was bundled as a rosette. How cute is that! There's so much to choose from. There's a variety of fruit (fresh and dry), nuts, chocolate, olives, crackers. They pack on a lot too. The end product was so prettily packed. The have an in-house baker. I tried the wedding almond cake. I had thought it was made with almond flour but it was actually almond flavor. That's the first time I had such a cake flavor and now I'm hooked.  There's outdoor and indoor seating. The food and wine were delicious -- i had the bruschetta, my uncle Reuben and a red wine flight. I don't even eat tomatoes like that and ate every single one with the bruschetta. It was soooooooo good. I came in around 6p on a Wednesday evening. There was a group of 6-7 people that were being seated before me. I was greeted by a nice lady (who i believe is co-owner). Her husband, El Jefe (aka Jeff), came and took my order. He was very nice, and I could tell he makes a lot of effort to please and serve those who stop by. I love that. Everyone else that I spoke with was nice & kind. I could tell that everyone makes it a point to take care of anything that you may need. The delicious food and attentiveness to the service is exactly why I will be returning, with my girls. We at one point had a conversation where we clearly had different beliefs/perspectives. I think El Jefe assumed what my perspective was on something because of my job and slightly put his foot in his mouth, but we just talked through it. I appreciated his willingness to have the conversation. It is my hope he remembers me and always makes an effort to see the humanity in ALL people. not everyone is afforded the same privileges. Finally tried CharQterie in Natomas and really enjoyed it. We did the make-your-own charcuterie plate, which was probably my favorite part. You get to pick your own mix of cheese, fruits, cured meats and other little bites, so you can make it however you like. We also got the pork belly sandwich and it was yummy. One of the item I picked was the picked red hot peppers... definitely had a kick but in a good way. The owner and staff were really friendly, and the place has a cozy, easygoing feel. Jeff and Lydia are the husband and wife team behind this amazing concept. Unfortunately, I had already eaten dinner but I always have room for dessert so I purchased a slice of the Dubai Chocolate Cake which brought home with me to share. Lydia explained the ordering process and showed me the goods where customers can curate their own personalized board featuring the finest meats, cheeses, and artisanal accompaniments. Towards the front section of the shop I was able to browse through beautiful handcrafted items offered by local vendors. Heard about this spot and saw people racing about it. They're specializing in charcuterie boards but I wanted to try some of their food items. Philly goose sandwich: B+ Really tasty sandwich. The beef has a good flavor. They're more of chopped chunks than strips so they fall out easily especially when dipping into the au jus. I do like that it is dutch crunch bread, put in a panini press and then toasted. The cheese gets super melted and stringy so that was good. Cookie butter "crack" cake: A+ I was told that this was as addicting as crack and I can say after eating it I immediately wish I could have more. Tastes like cookie butter but when heated up the cake was warm and moist and the glaze on top with cookie crumble was perfection. What a great place to find close to the Sacramento airport, only 10 minutes away They offer 'build your own charcuterie boards' and they have delicious sandwiches which you could customize also. My first experience with charQterie was during a YELP event earlier in the year. It was my turn to schedule our management outing and charQterie sounded like a great option. When I came in to make arrangements, the owner was so helpful in helping me pick out the food and desserts for our group. Besides savory food they also have a wide variety of desserts. This has been our go to spot now that we've moved back to natomas! We have come to this spot once a month since July, and havent been disappointed! There is both indoor and outdoor seating, which when it isnt super hot, I definitely prefer to sit outside! There are super friendly servers who are delighted to walk you through the process. They have both hot and cold food, but I would definitely recommend their sandwiches and their tots...they are amazing!
