Backside of their menu, it looks like they cater!!

Came here after my haircut appointment with my father because we were in the mood to get a caldo or soup especially for this rainy day. I was so thankful that this place serves caldos on the daily! Like many authentic real Mexican restaurants, most places only serve caldos on certain days or the weekends. But it looks like we got lucky! My dad got the caldo de res (beef) and I opted for the menudo (sad that they didn't have pozole today ) They have a variety of drinks and even serve beer, but my favorite part is the handmade corn tortillas. I will definitely be back to try their pozole and quite possibly to even place an order of tamales as well!! This spot would have gotten a 5 star from me if they had ALL options available daily like birria and pozole. When I get my chance my stance could change.

Came here from the reviews and it did not disappoint! I got the chilaquiles with asada and sunny side up eggs and it was bombbbb! My boyfriend got a torta cubana but ate it so quick I couldn't get a picture. Definitely will be coming back to try everything else. Oh and the aqua frescas bomb!

    DELICIOUS Chili Relleno!
    Danada M.

We're visiting a friend in Chino. We're from out of state. My husband loves Huevos Rancheros so our friend asked his Hispanic friend for a recommendation and this is where he sent us. It's kinda off the beaten path. Very glad we were directed here! The guys had Huevos Rancheros with beans and potatoes. I had a Chili Relleno with beans and potatoes. We are all happily stuffed!!! (:-) They make homemade corn tortillas! So rare. These are PERFECT. I could make a meal out of these tortillas and beans. If I am ever here again that's what I'll do. The Chili Relleno was good but I can find them everywhere. It's very rare to find delicious homemade corn tortillas. We were pretty hungry when we got here and with all the visiting...kinda forgot to snap pictures before we dug in. (:-) If you find this review useful please vote!

    Chilaquiles Verdes

We came here on a Sunday, not too busy. The service was fast, clean place, I had the chilaquiles Verdes, they forgot my eggs with my chilaquiles plate, but other than that the food was tasty, I would recommend.

Pastor tacos and a Chorizo Taco. Perfect seasoning, sparse grease, and grilled onions for a beautiful touch.
    Jacob H.

I was pleasantly blown away by this Mexican restaurant. I've eaten a ton of Mexican food in Los Angeles, Mexico, and California in general. This place delivered the best mulas I have ever had, and the tacos were flawless. Grilled onions complemented the dishes. The chorizo had the right amount of spicy kick without the grease! Also, the pastor had a sweet pineapple seasoning that didn't include too much grease either. I don't give five stars lightly, but this restaurant hit the mark perfectly in terms of flavor, price, and friendly service. I can't wait to go back time after time.

The place was pretty empty, yet the service was still very slow .To be fair, there was only one girl handling everything!! seating guests, taking orders, and serving food, while another man would occasionally come by to drop something off and then disappear. The food was the biggest letdown. The sauce was extremely dark, thick, and bland, with abt 6 large bay leaves in it. It also had a very bitter taste that overpowered everything. On top of that, the menu is very limited, only two combo options. If you want crab and shrimp together, you're forced to buy them separately, and it's not cheap The only upside was that they had a deal where if you spend over $70 before tax, you get a free item from a selected list. Also, the crab meat and shrimp themselves were very meaty and fresh, which is the main reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. Overall, I wouldn't return. The food , service and price just weren't worth it.

Some of our favorite dishes include the bbq beef, beef bone ribs, both poke bowls, and the furikake salmon. I do wish it had cucumber slices, but overall the poke nachos were excellent. The mac salad is delicious, we always get extra. The Iced Lemon Tea is easily the best drink here. It is so refreshing and always a must order for me. They are always generous with their sauces, which I really appreciate about this place, coming from a sauce lover. For takeout orders, they always carefully wrap the plates and sauces to prevent any spills. I really appreciate the extra attention to detail. The Boiler is located in a large shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking. They don't take reservations, but there was no line at opening, and they were able to accommodate my party of 10 without issue. They have both tables and bar seating. Of course I had to try their House Pan Roast that has shrimp, crab, clams, scallops, and the trinity in a tomato cream-based sauce. It also comes with a scoop of jasmine rice, but you can sub for pasta as well. You choose your spice level ranging from 0-10. I can't handle very much spice, but a spice level of 1 was not spicy at all, and spice level 3 really didn't have much spice either. Our server told us that a 6 or 7 is about sriracha level in terms of spiciness. The House Pan Roast overall was very tasty, and I enjoyed having a variety of seafood! All the birthday girl wanted was a nice big plate of aguachiles and a cold drink and boy did this restaurant deliver. Generous with the shrimp, fresh and spicy, it was great. I'll start with the good, which was the service; I found our server to be very nice, attentive, and helpful with giving us recommendations throughout the night. However, I felt the food was very expensive for what we received, the portion sizes were not very big, and the overall quality was just not good. I noticed the flavors were mostly just salty and spicy, to the point where I couldn't really taste the intrinsic flavor of the seafood itself. I ordered the mixed seafood cocktail, but it had mostly lemon juice and tasted much more like a ceviche than a traditional cocktail. Most concerning of all, I could tell something was off with the seafood, and it ended up giving me a major upset stomach after eating here. Considering how much we paid for just 2 entrées, combined with the fact that it made me sick, it is highly unlikely that I will ever return.

The flavor and seafood were absolutely on point. My group of five ordered the Snow Star Family Bucket with Full House sauce, and everything came out fresh, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. Portions were solid and we all left very full and very satisfied. If I had to nitpick: The mild Full House sauce was a little spicy for something labeled "mild." Still tasty, just a heads-up for anyone sensitive to heat. The fried calamari was good flavor-wise, but it was a bit light on calamari and heavy on fries. Small side note: my wife and I love having boiled eggs with our seafood boil, but unfortunately they don't offer boiled eggs here. Not a deal-breaker, just something we personally missed. They provided us menus, pretty straightforward; choose seafood, add sides for an extra cost, choose the flavor, and the spice level. One thing not noted on the menu is that shrimp isn't peeled, but they can peel them for an extra $6. And each order comes in pound increments. No half a pound offered. Your table is also covered with paper so you can eat the seafood boil from there. They provide bibs and gloves for no charge. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meals. Everything was flavorful and, unlike some other seafood boil spots, it didn't leave us feeling like we had heartburn afterward. There's a little sink for you to clean your hands at, which is nice since you dont have to wait for the restroom to empty. The service is what was a bit off. Like we asked for 3 Cajun fry boats but only received 2. Drinks were mixed up, and the clam chowder didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after our seafood bags had already been delivered. If you want ranch for your fries, they charge 60 cents for a small container. For drink refills, they bring a pitcher, but it's the kind typically used for measuring ounces. The server also tended to reach across one end of the table to grab empty cups or pass out food. Since I was seated at the end, it felt awkward having to help pass things down, especially since there were other access points to reach people in our party. We left around 920pm. I only mention it because we were the last group there, and we all noticed the heater seemed to have been turned on. Restaurant sign says open til 10pm on Sat. but we saw them turn off their open sign when we went outside. Needless to say, service could have been better.
