I saw that this Salvadorean place opened up next door to the Argentinean empanada place. I got a pupusa de queso con frioles ($4.39) and Carne guisada ($19.99). The pupusa was filled with melty cheese and beans with a container of curtido and salsa roja on the side. The pupusa was on the larger size and had plenty of filling. The carne guisada came with a side of beans, yellow rice, and salad with chunks of potato, carrots, green olives, and tender chunks of beef in a thick sauce. They have a good amount of seating inside and a/c running strong. The staff is nice. read more

Today is my birthday and all I wanted was my favorite food. We saw this place on Yelp and decided to try it. We called in our order for pickup and they were nice and helpful. When we got home we were shocked. These are the biggest pupusas I've ever had! Everything was delicious! 10/10 would eat there again. Let me say that I've been coming to this place once a week for their weekly specials however today I decided to have an early lunch so I phone in my usual lunch special for 2 me and my coworker and when I arrived to pick it up I was informed that the lunch special was not available and if I still wanted my order they can start making it but I would have to pay full price. I informed the person named Angel, that I had phoned in the order and the lady never once mentioned that the lunch special was not available even after I asked her and she told me it's available Monday through Friday no mention of any time by the way. I was only 30 minutes early from their so-called 12:00 p.m. time frame I then said is there any way you can make an exception the guy said no you can pay full price he was very dismissive and not accommodating at all mind you I come here all the time and not once have had an issue. He then proceeded to tell me that they tried to call me on the phone which is a lie because I never received a phone call. And the fact that they didn't start cooking my food thinking I wasn't going to want it made me realize that this is not the first time they do it to someone. I strongly believe that this is a customer service issue not having to do with the restaurant the food is great don't get me wrong but after this experience I won't be coming back. I did not appreciate the tone he took with me and the issue was definitely not about having to pay full price which I'm okay with cuz it's only a dollar more but that's not the point the point is that he could have said it in a nicer way or he could have tried to work with me and not be so dismissive and rude. So beware if you are coming for the lunch special it is only available after 12:00 p.m. not a minute sooner. Since it's such a big deal for them I feel they should have a huge sign, also let customers know when they are ordering over the phone so they can decide if they still want it for full price and hire someone with a little more manners and friendliness and customer service because this person is not doing it for your restaurant sadly super disappointed in this experience. read more

I had a big order for five people--completely my fault for the bad timing. But instead of rushing me out, I was warmly welcomed by Estrella at the register. She smiled and said, "Thank you for coming. How can I help you?" Not only did she take my order with grace, but Marisol, equally kind and cheerful, reopened the stove to make fresh pupusas for me--right at closing time! The service was genuinely heartwarming. Both Estrella and Marisol chatted with me while I waited and turned what could've been an awkward moment into a beautiful one. Now for the food? Absolutely delicious. Big, generously filled pupusas, flavorful beans, crispy yuca, fresh crema, chicharrón, and even extra sauces and curtido. Everything was packed with care and flavor. They didn't just serve dinner--they served heart. I left with a full belly and a bigger smile.
