Hair in BOTH plates of food. Contacted the restaurant and they always say the manager isn't there and had me send the photos and image of my receipt to their phone number through text only to never contact me back. Called again and same answer. Went in person and offered me a 25% discount for hair in my food that I could not eat. $40 down the drain. When I asked for their managers number they refused. Reported to the BBB and also reporting to the San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services. Truly horrible customer resolution.

Pupusas

First time here and trying pupusas .. they were pretty good ! I don't know exactly what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised ! (I got 2 jalapeño & cheese , 1 bean and cheese , and one revueltas) Staff were extremely friendly as well , and the inside was welcoming . Love the lights and tv there to keep people entertained . Reasonably priced as well . Might have to come by again ! :)

Empanadas de lech y empanada de frijol.

Food was pretty good here. My husband and I have our favorite pupusaria in Riverside but we decided to come here to try it out, and here are the results. Maiz pupusas: I love the filling, especially since it's cheesy. I didn't like the fact that the filling didn't reach all the way to the rim of the pupusa. So basically you'll be bitting into chunks of masa at the ends with no filling. We got revuelta, queso con lorroco and calabasa con queso. Chicharron con yucca frita: Dry/overcooked, not a lot of flavor. Also, very disappointing that they did not have the correct curtido to go with it. Beef Pastelitos: I loved them. My husband said they were "aight" because they put cheese in them. I personally have not ever eaten pastilitos with cheese in them but I thought they were delicious. De Arroz pupusas: one queso con lorroco and one revuelta. Pupusas de arroz are not my favorite, but I took a bite of each and thought they were pretty good. Pupusas de arroz are my hubbys fav and he said they were lacking a bit in flavor. Salvi chili relleno plate: My hubby absolutely loves chili rellenos (Salvi and Mexican). He said that since the beef was ground beef it wasn't that great. I loved the flavor and I like ground beef but I can see what he means about the beef not being trocitos. Drinks: I got the ensalada and I loved it! I love that it tasted like they put time and love into blending fruits for the juice base. Some ensaladas are made with an instant/powder base and then fruit was just added, but this one tastes legit . I also got the atole de elote, it was . So good! My hubby got the salvi horchata and the flavor just wasn't there. It tasted like instant/powder quality. The morro flavor wasn't there. It tasted a bit more like Mexican horchata with a vanilla/cinnamon taste. Still good though :) Lastly, Empanadas: we ordered both empanadas de leche and empanadas de frijol. The leche empanadas were yummy, and the cream inside was perfect. The frijol, not so much. They used the refried beans that have spices like onion and garlic in them. Not too good for a dessert. In all, we're comparing this place to our favorite spot in Riverside off of La Sierra (wink wink ) as well as my family and my own Salvadorian cooking. Los Cebollines Grill is also a tad more expensive too. Hope this helps

chicharrón and yuca were both super dry and service was very slow, but the pupusas were good

My husband and I tried this place for the first time on a lunch date. First off, the pupusas were good, we tried several of them on the menu along with the fajitas. The fajitas were cool but the pupusas were the star! Service was good, our server Stephanie greeted us with a big beautiful smile, that instantly made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back when we are in the mood for pupusas. Thank you Stephane!!!

Typical salvadoreño platter

From the moment we arrived we were greeted and though the server wasn't available at that very moment she acknowledge us and looked for someone to attend us. There were several TVs playing the football games and other ones playing other programming, music was playing at typical restaurant level (medium), however, there was several songs that were quite vulgar, quite uncomfortable and embarrassing to have my little kids listening to this. The wait for the food wasn't that long, the drinks arrived promptly, the food took a little longer than usual but it was absolutely worth it. It did arrive in waves. The checking on us was timed perfectly, starting of meal, mid meal, and end, not forgotten and not annoyed. We ordered a typical salvadoreño platter, a plate of ripe plantain, and a seafood creamed soup. They were all fantastic. I absolutely recommend it.

Estefani C didn't give me proper change & was giving dirty looks whole time.

Bad service with stuck up employees and mold everywhere. This review isn't about bashing a buisness, i am a very honest person when it comes to reviews. This is about the service i received. Walked in an old man "greeted" us. they took our order very rushed, didn't let us look at the menu. Estefani C. was very rude and seemed inconvenienced by us with a stank face the whole time, only smiling when she would go serve her tables. Total was $14 and some change. Gave her a $20 but only gave us a $5 and kept the coin change. Didn't let me know the reason she decided to keep my change but i figured she wanted it for herself for tip or whatever. didn't think complain for 35 cents. But a reason would have been the professional way to go about it. our order was suppose to take 20 min but we waited 40 minutes! mind you ppl came in and got seated and got served their food right away. At this point i ask them when my order will be ready but they cant give me a time still.. We were seated but more ppl came in so they made us stand up. very crammed space. At this point i just wanted my money back but they insisted it was "almost ready" I only ordered 3 pupusas.. only man seating ppl was very rude. passed behind me and purposely BUMPED MY BACK WITH HIS ELBOW. didn't apologize so i know he did it in purpose as the workers kept giving me dirty looks. when the girl with the pink hair handed me my order she didn't say not one word just an awkward silence as she handed me my food at least a "sorry for the wait" or "have a good day" would have been right. The food they had on the counter had mold, everything did. i was able to get a picture for the review. Pupusas were surprisingly decent but the place smelled like feet and bad fish. Only come here is you wanted to get treated like crap for supporting their business. I live in the area so a place like this is disappointing. This is not a business who represents Ontario, hope we have a legitimate pupusa with better atmosphere place soon!

Customer service was good . It's took about 7 min to be served. The temperature of the food was just ok. Total of the bill for 7 pupusa three drinks came to 50$

The meat speaks for itself just look at it

The meats real dry no taste witch is nasty I don't recommend the tacos these people don't know what there doing there just throwing stuff together the frijole the beans are water like actually we're are the beans it's literally bean sauce or juice idk what it is but it comes in a cup and it's just bean water no beans rice is plain and dry pretty nasty the only thing that 2/10 is the pepusas it's barely any good gotta pick around the unknown parts 1 outta 10 I do not recommend it they need to learn English and learn how to greet people on the way in little pendejos todos all la verga

Everything is freshly made from scratch so do not expect for fast food speed on your food, the wait will be so worth it! I will never get anywhere else for Salvadorian food. This is IT! Some of my favorites are the pupusas with chicharrón and cheese, zucchini cheese and garlic, the huevos rancheros, plátanos con crema , pollo en crema, and the chicharrón if you don't mind fried pork!

Noticed we had this spot close to our home on Friday and decided to go on Saturday since they were already closed by 5PM. The location is basically hidden away in a commercial business area. The inside is small and honestly a little warm for me but I find most Salv locations like to keep their places warm feeling? Simple solution is just take your food back home lol The guy at the cash register was very nice and offered mixing spinach with zucchini when i couldn't pick between the two options. He brought us out some cookies while we waited along side our drinks. I got the ensalada and Jamaica. I preferred the ensalada as it was a little less sweet. I did want their empanadas with custard filling but they didn't have any My husband got the chicharron pupusas and i got the revueltas. I enjoyed both and honestly you can never go wrong with the mixed. To take home we added some zucchini and spinach ones and honestly those were a great add on with the revueltas. I did find their cortido to fuck me up a bit with all the spices, but I'm just sensitive to that sort of stuff so if you have some sensitivity issues with spices beware! The tomato sauce was good, I'm not sure if they have a spicy version but might be needed for some people. Other than that great place, the food wasn't too oily and the service was great. Also please make a mental note that the orders are made as they're ordered so it can take a minute for food to be ready. Order in advance if you're in a hurry!

This is a small family business, and it shows in the best possible way. We owe it to places like this to seek them out and keep coming back. Quality like this deserves to survive. Food It's amazing. The menu is a mix of Salvadoran and Mexican dishes -- pupusas, of course, and all of them are great. But don't sleep on the soups, which are really something special. I've been on a health kick lately so I usually go for the fajita chicken or a simple chicken breast. Firstly, compared to the pupusas I usually get from a different restaurant closer to my home, the service was not the best. They took a long time to make our order. We waited for about 35 minutes and it was hot in there with no AC. Their music was blasting too and there was flies buzzing around. Immediately regretted ordering here during those moments. Secondly, my husband and I ate the pupusas at home and wanted to spit it out. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use if it's maybe more authentic than what I am used to but it was pungent and so strong. It made it completely inedible for us and my husband who is Hispanic said it's not a cheese he's familiar with. The curtido and salsa could not redeem the pupusas for us so had to throw them out.
