We make a Drive north about 15 miles from our home to this place , worth the drive Today we arrived a few minutes early they open at eleven , we order our respective food, Service was great-Server was super friendly checking on us often from beginningto our departure, ambience was empty but it does get crowded, food is great prices are not that low but the quality of this food it's worth since for us it's a special meal once every 1-3 months , give them a try on this post you see a Texas Star with pastrami and one cheeseburger both with fries and the leftovers pic is half of each for our dinner

Came here on the weekend and it was definitely less busy than many of the restaurants in old town. Very casual and can people watch easily from the tables. The servers were very fast and friendly. Happy hour marg was decent. I ordered a patty melt which has swiss and grilled onions. I dipped it in the ranch because I felt it needed some sauce. Other bites I put mustard on. Very good! Came out piping hot and quickly. Good fries and ranch too. My boyfriend got the 1/2 pound cheeseburger which was really big and tasty. I enjoyed it and would return.

Mad Madeline's Grill is a local Temecula burger spot in Old Town that has been open for over 30 years. Old Town is usually flooded w tourists just passing by or visiting the esthetics of the old world charm that Old Town Temecula has to offer. Parking can be difficult but there is a huge parking structure near City Hall that can accommodate a few hundred cars. This place hasn't changed one bit and still looks the same. Service was good, they kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. We ordered a half lb Giant cheeseburger and a Jalapeno & Pepper jack burger. All burgers come w fries. I really like the fries... I don't remember them to be natural like this, but they were good... Think In N Out fries, except cut thicker so they were not crispy, but still good. Our burgers were good. We expected the Giant half lb cheeseburger to be much bigger. My Jalapeno Pepper jack burger was great. I was happy that the jalapeños were actually spicy. Everything was good. My only complaint here is the price. We spent $38 on 2 burgers and 2 fries, which is kinda pricey. The overall hype is the experience of eating at this local Temecula icon.

Decent burgers located right in the heart of Old Town Temecula. It's got a casual diner vibe. My Patty melt was just okay. Unfortunately the fries came out cold and not very crispy. They had happy hour in the evenings on weekends which was nice and brought the house cocktails down to $5 each. The service was friendly yet not super attentive.

It's been quite some time since we last visited Mad Madeline's, and I wish I could say it was just as tasty as the last time. Unfortunately, this visit was a little disappointing. Something seemed a bit off with the burgers, they just didn't have the same flavor we remembered. The zucchini was great, and the cocktail was enjoyable, but I can't say the same about the burger this time around.

Service here is great, and has a nice good ol American burger joint feel. I thought the food was comforting and generous with portion sizing. Overall flavors wasn't bad or anything mind blowing. I'd say it was average, maybe it was an off day but the patty in my burger was a bit dry. The fries were great!

Mad Madeline is a old-school American diner in the middle of Old Town Temecula, offering comfort fast food options. We went after checking out the weekend Temecula Farmers Market as my partner was famished from all the walking we did. We got seated quickly as there was many seats available. He ordered a classic Cheeseburger with fries that came out in 10 minutes. The fries were pretty good 5/5, hearty, crispy, yet made from genuine potatoes. The burger was alright 2.5/5, the charred flavor and oil overwhelmed the flavors from the patty. I also prefer a more juicy, thicker patty as well. Would I come back? Maybe (?) if I'm desperately hangry? I feel like Old Town has so many other better options nearby for eateries that I'm losing out on opportunities to try elsewhere if I come back to try the food here again. It wasn't for me, but maybe it'll satisfy your craving for the OG diner experience.

Wagyu burgers with fries

So far, being seated and the waiter, excellent. If its cold outside, they have heaters to keep ya warm. Wife n me got here Saturday around 5 pm and its busy but not stupid crowded. Ambiance is perfect. Not loud where you cant hear your own table party. Table are clean. Bathrooms have a code so its.not.used by the whole public. I would definitely come back even though I have got my food yet. Stay tuned for the food review. Yes, the waygu burgers we got, definitely delish. Fries taste like In n Out, just thicker. So yes, definitely cone try it.

This has all the curb appeal for a great burger experience. Walking down the blvd will take you back to the good ole mining days of wooden buildings and outdoor stair ascending buildings. Perfect view of the old downtown. Long bar seating. After ordering we were ready for some great award winning burgers and sides to blow our minds with juicy beef. Zucchini instead of fries, yes please. Through our stay we were kinda overlooked till our bill was brought over. Not the most mind blowing food experience definitely has the touristy appeal to visit but maybe needing a fresher approach with food. Always room for growth for the time being it's a crowd pleaser.

Happy Hour Adios

The chicken burger was the most plain thing I have tasted in a long time. The fries came out half cold and soggy sort of like they had been cooked too long ago and have been sitting there waiting to be given to someone. I got there during happy hour and the 5$ adios was worth it and the waiter was nice and fast, but the food was not worth eating

Cali ABC Burger

Stopped by for something quick, we ordered the Cali ABC to split. This was a great burger, and for me the onion rings stole the show! They were great and not too breaded. There was only 1 server for the whole floor so service was a little slower but wasn't a reason to not come back. The misters were a little much for us but appreciate the effort to cool things down in the heat. Very old school type burger joint.

Ribs falling off the bone
Renta P.

We went here after lunch time and the service was good. It was pretty much empty when we got there so we got our food quick. The food was gooDT! Ribs were falling off the bones and the sauce was good. I will say that you only get a super small amount of baked beans with the ribs. They only serve the ribs on the weekend. The hotdog was cooked well and we enjoyed it along with the Root Beer float. If you're looking for an old fashion hamburger spot stop by when you are in there area. They do get packed on the weekends.

Mushroom and Swiss Burger and Fresh Cut French Fries
Bill N.

I was traveling through Temecula and happened upon this place in Old Town. Was immediately greeted by Caelie with a smile and sit anywhere. She got me a menu and drink quickly. Asked me if I had ever eaten here. When I said no she gave me recommendations. I got a mushroom swiss burger and homemade fries. The burger was huge and a basket full of fries. Both super tasty and fresh. The place is an awesome outdoor place with mister fans to keep heat lower. What a treat of an experience.

We rolled in on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate a friend's birthday and left with full bellies, big smiles, and zero regrets. We went full send on the menu and ordered the mini burger sliders, whipped espresso french toast (excuse me?? SO good), fried chicken Benny, and a smashburger. Every single thing was a hit and the portions are absolutely massive. Like, come hungry. Seriously. The service was speedy, friendly, and just all around great. No long waits, no wrong orders, just good vibes all around. We snagged a table on the patio and honestly the people-watching alone is worth the visit. Old Town does not disappoint as a backdrop. AND THEN. At the end of the meal our server came out with a dessert drink float topped with a sparkler, completely on the house, just to celebrate our friend's birthday. We sang Happy Birthday right there on the patio and it was the cutest thing ever. That kind of thoughtfulness is what keeps us coming back! 1909 is the move for birthdays, brunches, or just a random Saturday when you want great food and even better energy. 10 out of 10, no notes!

The fried potato chips seemed like they just opened a bag of chips and tossed it on lol but still good. The burger was juicy and I loved the jam on it. It complimented the bleu cheese very well. I was so surprised the carne asada fries were actually good as well. It did need some more guac though. When I went to ask, they said it's not actual guac and just smashed avocados. The minute you walked in, the ambiance just wasn't it. Perhaps because we were the only minorities there and everyone else wasn't (including the staff) but it was uncomfortable having people stare at us while we were eating and having our own conversations. Someone came to get our drink order and then it took a bit of time for our actual waiter Leila to come take our order. She did mention she was doing something else. we ordered the steak and frites and their pork chop which was the special of the day. I ordered my steak medium rare and the rest of the table ordered it in medium. When the steaks came out, the waiters seem confused as if they weren't sure which plates went where and when asked if that's a medium rare steak, they stated yes. That steak was medium and it was also dry and under seasoned. It was also tough and chewy. The fries were either undercooked or overcooked. Chimichurri sauce had no flavor to it. We did also order the cedar salad which was delicious. Their calamari and wings were as well. At the end of the night, Leila asked our friend how he liked his steak because it didn't seem like he ate anything. He said it was okay and she kept insisting you can be honest and kept pushing the matter. This was extremely uncomfortable because there was no need to make him feel like he was put on the spot. while I understand the need to want feedback, if your guest says it's okay and seem uncomfortable, maybe leave it at that. She then came over to me and asked about my steak and again saying, "you can be honest." Why wouldn't I be? I did tell her the steak was cooked incorrectly, that was not a medium steak and pointed out that it was dry. There was this awkward silence at the table because honestly there wasn't a need to keep pushing. Simply asking how was it would have suffice. They did end up comping my steak which was nice of them however the entire experience just wasn't pleasant. From the ambiance, to the crowd, to the food - wasn't worth it.

It was a Tuesday afternoon and there were a couple of customers there already. We did have to wait for a service but since he was the only one there, it was understandable and it wasn't long of a wait to get served and business was on the lighter side at the time. Once he took our order, the fries came out pretty quickly. I like the location as it is on the north end entrance of old town Temecula and one of the first businesses you see. The seating outside is great especially on a nice day and over looks the Main Street. The music blasts k-pop songs which I love since I am a fan of k-pop. The bathrooms are clean and require a key to get in. Overall, it's always a great experience, decently priced and definitely recommend this place for anyone that is looking for a drink and Korean pub food.
