stopped in for a couple of cocktails and ended up meeting Mike one of the friendliest owners who was also the bartender who made us feel right at home. we had a few different types of cocktails and sangria's and they just kept tasting better and better. We also ordered their kielbasa bites with caramelized onions that were outstanding. they have a large dining area and a nice size bar with plenty of TVs if you're interested in sports.

Honestly --this place was really great. The service was outstanding and so were the wings: we came for happy hour so drinks were lower and we got 4 wings for $5 bucks and we got 20 all together and tried different sauces. We could taste each one differently but they all looked the same! The ambiance is like a modern pub with a touch of log cabin feel. They are located in a strip mall and if they were in downtown huntington -they would be packed everyday:

I think I need to come back and try something else. I didn't like how cold the nachos were. A plus is that it's ALOT of nachos. Apparently it's bc all the condiments are cold but the cheese. Even the cheese was cold though. The tenders weren't bad. I had truffle fries, and something else idr the name. I'm going to come back alone and retry something else. There was a huge party going on so I felt the food was taking some time but the workers were nice.

Mad for Chicken is now currently open on Mondays. Lunch order was mic mix of wings and legs in garlic soy. Perfectly crisp and a tough of garlic flavor. They have lots ( see pix) on the menu including liquor drinks and teas slushes and smoothies. Quiet at lunch today. Note: as road work and driveway is currently being worked on closing parking access to stores in lot. Parking elsewhere and walking over. Note: bathrooms are down long hall in back . Food and choices are many. I plan to come back again another time.

I have been here a few times and each meal I've gotten has been incredible; from the dumplings to the wings to the drumsticks to the japchae. The rice bowls are so filling and delicious. I can't say enough great things about the food. The drinks there are amazing as well, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. My favorite is the lychee soda. Recently, we had a birthday celebration for 25 people and Mike, the owner, set me up with a private room in the back and it was one of the most stress free parties I've ever had to plan. Mike, Sarah and their staff were on top of everything. Kept me in the loop step by step throughout the night and helped make it a perfect night. They were great to work with and can't say enough great things about them. I highly recommend Mad for Chicken for a casual night out or for a private party. *This is NOT paid advertisement

We were here recently for a political event, which they generously provided a meeting room for. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by Mike, the owner. We chatted with him while looking over the menu, and I was impressed with the pride he took in his restaurant. We had been using the Mad for Chicken in Bayside, so we were familiar with the basic idea. The food and drinks came quickly, and service was always attentive. We have several doctors in Plainview, so we are happy to know about this excellent spot nearby.

Several meals in over many weeks & months and Mike's disposition hasn't changed. Super friendly, kind and giving. A man with a passion for his business. My last visit I sat for dining in and the crowd was beautiful. Very diverse and everyone looked to be enjoying themselves. Mike recognized me immediately even though I hadn't been there in a while. Just as kind & sweet as always. We shared some adult beverages & chatted as I waited for my order of spicy soy garlic wings with Extra Pickled Radish. Yummyliciousness! The food is always hot & fresh. Lives up to expectations but the customer service is what really stands out for me. Keep Doing Whatcha Doing Mike! 10-19-2023

Five piece thighs/drums. And ten piece wings.

Chicken is good. Tough batter, kinda gross to me, and chicken was dry. Ordered plain fries and truffle fries. Truffle fries came out piping hot, plain fries not too hot. Needed salt and pepper, nobody around to bring it over. Five piece chicken / thighs and drumsticks, is a lot of food. Enough to feed three people. Suppose with a cheap price tag, you should set expectations accordingly. Server also didn't give me back my credit card, insisted he put it back in the check folio. He didn't. Someone from behind counter came and gave it back to me. Wouldn't go back, personally, and it's not close to where I live. If I lived closer, I might try something other than the fried chicken.

I love Fried Chicken. I started going to the original Mad for Chicken in Flushing about 10 years ago. The Plainview location does not disappoint. When hot and right out of the kitchen, there is no better chicken (with all due respect to Jollibee which is the gold standard for fast food chicken). When it cools down, it is still CRISPY!! This is the artistry in the process. You have a choice of 2 traditional sauces..soy garlic and spicy. The spicy is great but it does pack some delicious heat. The cubed pickled daikon radish is the perfect palette cleanse. Cold , sweet, and crunchy. The selection of Soju and Beers on tap is vast (try the Catskill Pilsner..trust me). The staff could not be more accommodating. This falls into my gold standard category.

Curry popcorn... It was really good.

So I was working at a building project in Plainview, and staying at the Holiday Inn. I asked the front desk if there was any restaurants they suggest. Of course they recommended Bistro 495 (their own restaurant on property). So I Google mapped restaurants, and a lot of pho, places popped up, Chinese take out, and then "Mad for Chicken" caught my eye. Korean style fried chicken. That's where I'm going!!! So we pull up my son and I and we walk in. Radio is blasting. It was a little empty just one table with like 4 people. So we sit down, looking at the menu. Waitress puts a bowl of popcorn on the table. I try it... it's not just any popcorn, it's seasoned popcorn. It was actually pretty good!!! I take about 5 minutes trying to figure out what seasoning they put on this popcorn. The waitress comes back to take our order and she says it's curry. Hmmm. Everything about that seems a little weird, but it works. So I see this drink menu, Boba tea, slushy, milk shake for only $6. With two choices of either Boba, popping boba, or jelly. I get the watermelon slushy with boba pearls, and jelly. My son gets the Lychee milk shake with boba and jelly. It was really good, problem I had was the pearl boba was a little undercooked so it was a little hard, not soft and chewy like it usually should be. Still good though. I order the soy sauce garlic chicken drum sticks and wings combo- half and half. Half spicy and half mild. I also order the beef chili fries. My son orders the kimchi chicken sandwich with Parmesan truffle fries. The order comes out and the chicken looks amazing. I take a bite out of one of the drumsticks and it is crispy, and I mean super crispy. And it has juices running down my beard. What a wonderful first bite!!! Not only was this drumstick over sized, (guess I'm used to the little drumsticks that Popeye's and KFC serves) but it was crispy and juicy. And the sauce was really tasty as well. My son says the Kimchi chicken sandwich was really good too. I try some of his truffle fries. That was super good!!! And when the beef chili fries come out, it was also very tasty as well. We both wasn't able to finish all our food, and that's saying something, cause my son and I can eat. But all in all what a great place to eat. If you're in the Plainview area, I highly recommend this place. Really good food. I'll be working down there next week again. Who knows... I just might have to stop on by.

Kimchi Pancake and Double deep fried chicken wings

Very cool layout with excellent ambience. The service was great! They were attentive and quick to take your order. The food is out of this world! I had the Kimchi Pancake which was definitely a nice portion size. Followed by their amazing double deep fried chicken. Definitely worth to stop by frequently.

Can I say wow!! First of all the ambiance inside is nice a roomy and the service is great. They are attentive and welcoming from the beginning. We ordered the Japchae, Tteok-Bokki and Soy Garlic 3 piece Korean fried chicken. Everything was FRESH! The rice cakes were tender and the dish was flavorful with the sauce and pieces of fish cakes. The soy garlic chicken was CRISP and flavorful on the outside- only criticism is it lacked flavor on the inside. Nonetheless the chicken was moist! The STAR of the show was the JAPCHAE! So FLAVORFUL from beginning to end. It was unanimous. The bulgogi beef was so well seasoned and in general it was such a delight to eat the japchae. No noodle was left behind! Will definitely be back to dig in to some more menu items.

The lemon tart was quiet nice. It was a good balance of tart, sour and sweet. I like the marshmallow fluff that was toasted on top of it. The next time I tried a mocha, and again, the chocolate flavor was barely there. I also didn't enjoy the brie and jam toast at all. The jam was way too overpowering, the bread was overly toasted, and the side salad felt unfinished -- it was basically just arugula with a few pickled onions on top, which didn't really go well together. I've also tried their brownie and chocolate chip cookie, and both were a letdown. The brownie was dry and flavorless, and the cookie was just okay. It was made with milk chocolate, but I personally think it would've been much better with dark chocolate, maybe some flaky salt or browned butter for more depth of flavor. For a homemade cookie, I expected something that tasted more special and less like it came from a box mix. Because of the food, I probably won't go back, though I will say the décor is really nice and whimsical.

I found some recommended bakeries that would have taken me over an hour drive (/r LongIsland), but i decided to give BNB Plainview a shot. I called and asked about the dairy-free selection and they were incredibly helpful. Encouraged, I swung by during my lunch break and was very impressed with their dairy-free selection. Didn't realize that their entire menu was gluten free and tree-nut free (I have n=1 friend who would have appreciated this). I also liked that they separated the vegan and non-vegan items (we were fine with eggs so went non-vegan). The same person I spoke with on the phone greeted me and I went with her recommendation of the non-vegan chocolate mousse cake.
