Tried this place today not from the area and me and my friends well pretty much in awe! Food was amazing. Prices were great and guy at the counter. I don't remember his name, but he was tall and cute. It was great. The Cobb salad was a ridiculously fantastical my friend and I both had . Very pleasant experience. This is the only chicken joint I go to. I get the ten piece wings breaded tossed with buffalo sauce, a regular chicken sandwich that I break apart and eat in sections, and I always get the fries. I really enjoyed this place very much! Decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap with a side of regular fries. The fried chicken inside the wrap was nice and tender and juicy and I liked that the breading wasn't too heavy on the chicken, it was just the right amount of breading. The whole wrap itself was delicious and not super filling. The French fries were so crunchy and not super greasy. I'd definitely come back here again and I'm glad that this place wasn't overly expensive. The decor was nautical which is my favorite theme so I did enjoy it. I live around the corner and just found out this place opened in my town. Being a chicken Sandwich aficionado I jumped out of my couch to try it! Just finished my Bird Sandwich. Hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I ever had (I had couple thousand at this point). To break it down: The bun was super fresh and fluffy and the perfect size to hug the chicken breast and other contents. The bird sauce is delicious and very delicate and does not overpower the other ingredients. The pickles have the perfect crunch being a bit on the sweet side. I prefer mine a bit on the acidic side but this is personal preference. And of course, the chicken had the perfect texture and bite, flavor all there, and moisture was spot on, not to juicy where it becomes sluggish. The crust, that appears to be fine dry breadcrumbs but I'm not sure, is very delicate and the right thickness and texture. The loaded fries were delicious, they where loaded by in layers to ensure the good stuff is not just sitting on top. Overall 5/5 on both items. Have to go back to try the other items. The tenders had no seasoning--no salt, no pepper--just plain fried chicken that required a lot of sauce to mask the lack of flavor. The chicken wings were similarly unseasoned, with a chewy texture and a light coating of Buffalo sauce. The truffle fries were decent, but at $8, they weren't anything special. Beach Bird 100% deserves a try. Just ordered chicken and fries to try it and man are they good. Perfect amount of pepper and salt to season them, respectively, the textures are a tasty blend of soft and crispy, and they hold heat comparably well in a to-go order (so I can only imagine how much better it tastes in house). Wide variety of sauces where you'll have to enjoy at least one, if not all of them. I wasn't personally crazy on the bird sauce, but it was a brand new flavor to me that I just had to enjoy it anyway. If I have to add a criticism, it would be the amount of oil used in the cooking, but that's a personal preference since my stomach just doesn't handle oil like it used to. So basically my friends recommended this place to me and I decided to try it out. Yeah the chicken was good but it's not gonna change the world. A little bit later that night (5:30am whilst I'm sleeping peacefully) I'm awoken by intense pain in my stomach. I run to the bathroom and proceed to projectile vomit for literally 15 minutes straight. Oh, but it doesn't end there. After that I go back to my bed and I have to run back to the bathroom once again because I started PISSING OUT OF MY ASS). Right when you think it's over... nope! It should have been called a chicken tenders sandwich. Misleading, and the owner may want to re-think the business plan. Glad I ordered the Chipotle aoli on the side, it was extremely overpowering. The bun was a rich brioche, but I suspect it was frozen as it was not soft. The chicken was grilled and needed salt. Served two tenderloins on a bun and unmanageable to eat as a sandwich. You have to ask for salt, pepper or ketchup as these are not readily available at this counter style venue.​ read more
