Came here after several months of driving by it. I looked at the reviews and was a bit worried based off of the negative ones but wanted to try it out. I was immediately greeted in a friendly manner which was good because previous reviews reported hostility and nonchalant responses to customers. I ordered cheese burger, fries and cheese steak ( 2 sodas). I felt it was a bit over priced, Came to almost 50 bucks with tip. But thats besides the point. Food came rather quickly. And off to eat I went. First the cheeseburger. It was ok. The bread was cold and dry. Im not used to having actually cold buns on burgers. Usually its heated on the grill in most places but thats just my preference, although it was cold, As if it was refrigerated and only taken out as the meat was ready. The burger lacked flavor and the size of the patty was normal sized I guess, it might have been a little under 1/4 pound. Then the cheese steak. It had a lot of meat and the bread was warm but it was overly saturated in oil. The steak was bland despite the onions and peppers. The size of the sandwich was basic and honestly, the cost of it may actually be on par with what you get, minus the flavor. I will say, it was very reminiscent of Steak ums, (if you know, you know). The fries were the best part of the meal. They are definitely fresh or tasted fresh and cut decently. It came with the Cajun seasoning which was a plus. I actually think it's better than 5 guys Cajun fries. To sum it up. Sids is a good place for a quick bite. A bit pricey for the quality but over all decent. Will I come back, probably not, but thats mainly because I don't live close by. It has indoor seating, not alot but just enough to get your fix and keep it moving. What a Gem! Old school burger joint with lots of options. We had arrived to the area via boat after a good day of sailing as we are cruising through the Sound. A lovely woman with a rental shop near the marina lent me a bike with a basket. Grabbed a couple sliders and a side of Tatar Tots. Enjoyed the burgers & tots, the staff were super friendly and were kind enough to take a photo for me to remember. Got a few items to-go as a first time customer and it was pretty good. I got the Sid's burger under the "staff favorites" list when you order online- it wont show on the the downloaded menu. Burger was moist and the sid's sauce that's in it reminded me of big mac sauce, delicious. Onion petals were easy to eat. Onions were sweet and had a nice crisp batter on them. Ordered the frosted flake chicken tenders extra crispy as this was a popular option. They were too hard for me and a bit dry. I would try this again with the regular fry time for this item since I did enjoy the flavor. I forgot to take a picture of Sean's chicken sandwich! Wasn't impressed, chicken was dry and the batter felt kind of stale. Would not get this again. Not all the items were winners but I'd give them another shot. read more

Sid's All American always caught my eye driving by so I finally decided to check it out. I made my order online and picked up the order to go, which was a simple process. The inside was fun with a retro vibe and an arcade cabinet. While I tend to prefer smash burgers to traditional burgers, Sid's burgers are well done and I devoured it quickly. The Frosted Flake coating to the chicken tenders was a fun twist which provided mild sweetness but wasn't overpowering. As an onion lover, I can see myself swinging by just to pick up an order of their Onion Petals. So good! The Fried Chicken Sandwich was sadly dry and I'll be avoiding from now on. While I appreciate the variety of topping and sauce offerings, it is a bit of a let down for mostly everything to be additional cost. Would I like to experiment with these to make my own creations? Most definitely! Sadly, the additional cost for each topping makes me less inclined to explore and more likely to just stick with a traditional burger. Also, 25¢ for each sauce? I saw this place on lieats's IG page and decided to give it a try via Uber Eats delivery. She said they had the best chicken tenders on Long Island, so we had to try that- "frosted flake chicken tenders" with their own honey mustard sauce. We also ordered truffle fries, buffalo wings, and fried oreos. The food arrived in under an hour and was still warm & delicious. My kids loved the truffle fries and chicken tenders. They said the tenders were juicy, slightly crispy with a hint of sweetness. The fries were flavorful, tasty, and broadwalk-style (my fave). My son was ecstatic to hear that they actually have "truffle fries" on their menu. He's in love with them! The fried oreos were not bad, nothing special, a little soggy- dont recommend getting this for delivery. Last but not least, the buffalo wings- I have to say they were one of the best wings I've ever had. They were oh so good! Every wing was meaty, juicy, NOT dry & hard, and sauce was great. I decided to make a trip here today, and what a great experience. I went to Sids a couple of days ago and ordered almost $100 worth of food. The food was excellent. The people in my party were overjoyed. However the cashier a small Spanish girl in her teens to early 20 was unpleasant to deal with. Zero personality no smile nothing. I never met her before or had dealt with her. Her attitude was horrible towards me. I say me because another woman came up a few minutes after me while I was waiting for my food and it was all smiles. The food was excellent and the other workers were nice. Perhaps she is a good worker but, should not be up front with customers if she picks and chooses who she will treat nice. I will go back and hopefully she will have a change in attitude or they will take her from the front. I hope one of the two are done so I can rate it five stars next time. read more

Today we faced blatant discrimination at this facility. We were the only ones there when we placed our burger and ice cream order. 10 minutes later a party of 4 order ice cream too, a party of 2 arrived shortly afterwards. We were serviced last and only after we brought it to the managers attention that the other two parries order way later than us and were serviced before us. The manager offered to give us our money back but never to put a rush on our order which was the same as the other parties order. Innthe future Sid's need to keep track and service all orders as the come in and never make a customer feel as though you don't want their business by offering to give them their money back so they can go elsewhere because you'll lose a lot of local business if the word gets out that you practice TRUMPISM!!! read more

I really wanted it to be good. Walking distance from the apartment, cute modernized retro vibe. However it just didn't hit. From the moment I walked in the door, there was no line, but still received a cold attitude when ordering. As if I was doing them a favor. Once I ordered I sat and waited for my food. Watching a few other customers encounter a similar style of service. Nothing makes you more excited while you wait for your food to be ready than employees in the back pulling a tray of frozen brown burgers stuck between two pieces of parchment paper with their bare hands. Once my food arrived it was handed to me and I went to sit down outside. The burger as you can see from the photo was visually underwhelming. Nothing about that looks like a fast food style $6 burger. Quite frankly the bun is the star of the show bringing flavor and a pillowy texture to an otherwise lifeless burger. As I said, wanted it to be great. It just wasn't. I guess I will come back to try some of the ice cream in the future. Disappointing experience. This place is a great mom and pop shop to stop by! It's the classic American food vibes. They got burgers, hot dogs, fries, milkshakes, and ice cream! I got a single burger and it was pretty fresh tasting. They use potato buns for the burgers which is soft. The meat patty is not too salty and the toppings are roughly chopped in a home style way that felt like you were eating fresh and real ingredients. The Cajun fries were perfect try fried. The seasoning was flavorful and not spicy but still had enough spice. It was great without sauce though the homemade sauces were worth trying with as well. The fries are freshly cut so you can see different sizes and potato skins. Gotta love a fresh home cut fries. The ice cream was also good. Your typical ice cream truck kind of soft serve except here, you get A LOT more ice cream. They charge extra $1 for a waffle cone but the waffle cone is worth it. We ordered the medium size but it was still quite large. Would def recommend this small joint for anyone driving by in the area and wanting a typical American style meal. read more

All items were delicious but I thought the potion of fries was delicious but too small in a small bag instead of an ice cream cup that came with the ice cream. The mint ice cream was outstanding. If the fries was adequate I would rate this as five stars. Next time I will order a second scoop of chocolate mint chip ice cream instead of the fries and save money and then I could rate it five stars. read more

The prices have increased, beside ketchup and cheese any other toppings you like is additional cost for the burgers (don't recall this in past orders). We ordered one of the double patties/burger and asked for the lettuce wrap (ie to be eaten as a sandwich) was charged $1.50 more; however I only had one slice of lettuce which was placed on the bottom of the sandwich (see picture ) which was impossible to get hold as a sandwich. Cmon Sids you gotta be better than that I aint paying $2 per wing. Lastly, this place is always on time. Their menu is extensive including burgers, chicken, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, grilled cheese, salads, wings and fries and sides along with ice cream, We were in the mood for burgers so we both ordered a single burger, my friend's plain and I got mine with cheese. The burger is relatively inexpensive by itself, however, if you want other toppings on your burger such as cheese, [multiple varieties] or grilled toppings they will cost you extra. Premium toppings [bacon, chili, cheese sauce etc.] cost more. There are also various sauces you can have on your burger [ketchup, bleu cheese, mayo, etc]. The fries and sides are extensive and milkshakes are also in the offering. Ice cream comes as hardpack with numerous flavors and also soft serve. There also offer boozy slushies which looked very appealing. There is limited seating inside the restaurant itself. There is a long table seating eight-the patrons were seated enjoying ice cream the day we were there. There is also seating outside in the back [picnic tables] which was an option on a nice day. Restrooms are towards the back. Our burgers arrived shortly and we both got a Fuze ice tea to go with our meal. The burgers were delicious-my only regret was that we did not build them up with various toppings. The staff was accommodating and overall it was a nice experience. I have gone to Sid's multiple times and I will say it is one of the better burger focused Resturant's in Glen Cove. With that beign said the food is average at best and you will get sticker shock from the price. Would recommend it if you need something quick and it is a better option to fast food but don't go in thinking your not going to get an average burger read more

Driving past Sid's you will be tempted to stop and get a burger. The place just looks cool and old fashioned. It really has that "old school, Back to the Future, Happy Days, grab a burger nostalgia from a time I never even lived in" vibe down. You can almost hear doo wop music playing as you roll in. Or imagine a group of characters from American Graffiti about to pull up in a 58' Impala with Howlin' Wolf on the radio. Ahh Sid's All American certainly hits the nostalgia button. Unfortunately, the burgers suck. They literally taste like Wendy's burgers. Soggy, untoasted buns- chewy, overcooked patties- and yellow Kraft American cheese. Plus hardly grilled onions for $0.50 a topping. I had a slider cheeseburger for $3+. It was awful- more soggy bun and kraft cheese than slider.. at least it was tiny. I also got a double cheeseburger with bacon and grilled onions for nearly $10. The double bacon wasn't terrible.. but it wasn't anything great. 5 Guys makes a much better burger.. for less money. And it's about 30% bigger than Sid's double. And they include unlimited toppings for free. Oh yeah I also got a small cajun fries. They were actually pretty good- flavor wise. But it was tiny. And the texture left a lot to be desired. Only about 80% of the fries were crispy or cooked enough.. and a few of them had a really gross, chewy consistency. Discovered this place after a friend brought me for ice cream....I have to say this little joint is so awesome! Huge menu, vegetarian options, alcohol slushies?!
