Visit Date: June 5, 2022 I came here with my boyfriend for breakfast. He knows Oyster Bay very well so he suggested this place for breakfast. I got the same sandwich he did except without bacon since I'm a vegetarian. I had eggs, cheese, and a hashbrown on a roll with hot sauce and ketchup. Carb overload but that's how I've been living lately. The sandwich was delicious. I felt like I was eating a better version of a McDonald's breakfast sandwich. It was crunchy because of the hashbrowns with a nice extra salt flavor which mixed well with the ketchup and hot sauce, I felt like they complimented each other. The coffee was also good! I opted for Panini Italiano, ham cappicola, genoa salami, mortadella, provolone cheese, with sun dried tomatoes, spinach and red onions, very good. Came by the other day to grab a sandwich! My family has been coming here for years but I have never came in to try. They have a parking lot in the back and street parking in the front. It's right off of Main Street which is convenient. They have a lot of specialty sandwiches. I ordered an East Norwich sandwich which was pretty good. The sandwiches are made fairly quick. Also some drink options. There is a little bit of seating in the front. But they have this freezer in the front which doesn't look so pleasant. Which was a total turn off for me. I'm not sure if there was frozen chicken in there or frozen cinnamon buns. But they could have made that look a little nicer. Overall good place to grab a sandwich, panini, wrap or salad. Here's the Scoop: Before visiting friends in Oyster Bay my honey and I were a little hungry so we decided to stop in this deli for a quick bite. The menu was surprisingly filled with signature sandwiches, paninis, wraps, off the grill and a hot food section. A nice selection of pastries and beautiful looking salads. I ordered a black ham, Swiss, lettuce & tomato sandwich and my honey had a tuna hero. Everything was fresh and the hero bread was very soft. Prices are reasonable. We decided to sit and dine there. Comfortable booth seating and a large screen tv. Service was very swift and friendly. We enjoyed our healthy size sandwiches and left full and happy. I never liked going to Haborside it always gave me buyers remorse when you realize they're are some many other good spots out there. They have the hardest bagels. One of my first orders from this place many years ago was french toast. They're kitchen is in plain view and my french toast ended up coming out of a bag and they were french toast sticks lol. DIRTY! That's disgusting. The young girl behind the counter was making sandwiches, using the same gloves to work the register and collect money. I watched her make my sandwich, take my money, give me change in bills and coins, then with the same gloves, make another persons panini. How dirty is money?!! Love me some Harborside. Been a great deli for years now. Great owner, all the employees are kind and the food is delicious.

I eat at harbor side multiple times a week. I love sandwich's. I usually order roast beef hero with mozzarella and mayo. It's soooo good .

Every time I come here, staff is so rude. The food is also mediocre, so there's no reason to be so snobby.

The food was pretty good! Prices were fairly low which is a good thing! Overall friendly staff and clean place- would Deff go again.

I stopped by the Harborside Deli for lunch yesterday and I wasn't very impressed. While there were a wide array of sandwich options on the menu, the service was slow and the food was just merely okay. I got "The Cove" sandwich and the turkey and bacon was rubbery. If you're in the area and in need of something for lunch Harborside would certainly do but I wouldn't actively seek it out in the future. read more

Oyster Bay was my stopping grounds. I was going to "Harborside Delicatessen" for years. I remember when they had Mortal Kombat, the arcade in the back and we would head there to play with our friends. But what happens in life, happens to use all, we get older. Then you go to places for different things. Now when I goto a deli, it's for good food and not fun games. I went here many of times because the food is good. I came in looking for a egg sandwich. I think "Harborside" has one of the best hungry man's in Oyster Bay. But the only thing that sets them apart is they don't have the friendliest of service. I need more from a staff. Inside the place is narrow, with very limited seating. You can walk straight through to the back of the building, which has plenty of parking and a nice little area to look around. Inside the deli, they have plenty of people working. They definitely move the line quick and the prices aren't so bad. I definitely keep going back because it feels like a part of my past. Kind of a strange set up- it is a deli, but the place has ZERO stuff outside of the display counter and some cigarrettes behind the display counter - and the counter is like 6 feet high so you feel like you are walking down a corridor to get to the part where they make your sandwich. Let me start off by saying The food isn't bad the service however is the reason I deducted stars. From the time I placed my order i got a nasty attitude and was rushed off the phone. Despite the ratings I decided to try this deli, it was clean, had a wide variety of choices and I am very picky with egg sandwiches but I got a bacon egg and cheese over medium... it was amazing! Everyone always has a smile and even at their busiest, they take the time to get your order right. We are in search of a good deli...similar to Tony's Deli in Beachhurst...where they serve home cooked italian food and the bread is made fresh. .. The place makes big sandwiches that are ok. Their bread good be better. Sometimes I get hard bread. They nickel and dime u for additional stuff like a slice of tomato or a piece of lettuce. Not sure what's up with such negative reviews. I love this place. Not sure which delis I've been in don't have high counters (why is that a problem?). Either way I judge a deli on the quality of their food and this really can't be beat. They pile all of their meats very thick and the roast beef is extremely tender and nice and pink. The bacon egg and cheese is amazing because they stack up about an inch of bacon on it. Delicious. They're also the only place around that carries whole wheat rolls. Overall I love this deli. The place is quiet but I much prefer getting my breakfast in peace and quiet than having 15 guys behind the counter shouting and running around. Try the baymen sandwich!! Atrocious excuse for a north shore deli. I go to a lot of delis across LI and this one is by far the penultimate worst. The staff is extremely rude, and you can barely understand them (they're not very good with english). They always get my order wrong, can't manage taking orders on the line at a respectable pace. The food is at best subpar, and it is extremely overpriced. A sandwich and a drink shouldn't be almost 15$, I'm sorry, it's a complete price gouge for no good reason. I would rather go to Taby's for the overpriced food, at least they are friendly, quick, and have quality. I could get a sandwich, two drinks and a snack for the same price or less at any Deli within 5 miles of here. It's really ridiculous. Picked up a North Shore and Harborside hero. Very underwhelmed. The bacon on the North Shore was fatty and undercooked. The chicken was dry. The Italian meats on the harborside were inedible. Best part of my lunch were the onion rings. All around, a very expensive disappointment. read more

The owner is always in there with a smile on his face and ready to serve, something you don't get from most other deli's anywhere. Harborside deli has been around since 1985 and has just been recently renovated... It really is one of the nicest deli's in the area. The help is friendly not to mention they have the best egg sandwiches around! They also do catering in which they make really great eggplant rollatini!! read more
