I'm so excited that the owners of East Norwich deli are at Talentis. They have the most amazing homemade potato salad, macaroni salad & Cole slaw. Don't forget their homemade rice pudding with a meringue topping. All the sandwiches I've had are made to order and always delicious. You won't be disappointed with their food or service. read more

Unless you are a local who the staff knows by name, don't expect to be treated with any ounce of respect. Good food by a hostile and uncomfortable environment. Staff is noticeably short tempered with both the employees and the customers. Have tried this place 3 times now and each time I've had an unpleasant experience. I love those rare moments when I'm jonesing for something specific and one of the best versions of whatever that might be just takes care of business. Talenti's sausage egg and cheese just forced me to stop everything and write them a yelp review. I had a breakfast emergency this morning and I haven't been too excited by the choices in my new town. So, this time I drove a little further to try the deli with the fancy sign, in a desperate search for a clean and decent breakfast. Three things stick out here... First of all, the quality of the food is really fresh and high-grade. They were out of bagels and even the "second choice" bread was same-day fresh. The sandwich ended up PERFECT. I ended up ordering a pound of mozzarella and a muffin while I waited just because the overall quality of everything in there was visibly obvious. I just tried the mozzarella and it's nuts. Second, props to the cook who stopped to ask if I wanted him to put the the sandwich into the panini press for a little extra crispiness. The guy had finished preparing the food and stopped to think about a way to make it even more delicious before letting go of it. You have to appreciate someone who takes that kind of pride in their work. I felt like I had a professional consultation and it made me all the more hot for this sandwich. It was seasoned perfectly too. Third, they have this super adorable woman manning the register who basically charms you to death as you wait. It was fun seeing this assembly line of guys with goofy expressions walk in, each patiently waiting for their two minutes with her. I'm not an easy blusher, but she got me too. Nicely played. That's all. I'm still working on this outrageously good apple muffin and am just really happy to have found a serious deli in Bayville. read more

Well, me and my friend were trying to get food for lunch two rude servers walked up to me and my friend, and began to harass us about that. The fact that we were yelling and being rude to the employees when we were just trying to show them what we are trying to order. They were very rude and threaten to kick to 10 year olds out of the store for no reason. We love Talenti's! We come here almost every morning to get coffee and a snack and their delicious French toast and hash browns!! I come here with my 23 year old special needs brother and I am only 12 and they are still very nice to us!! Same experience as at least 3 other reviewers - morning counter help was rude and abrupt. Simple, easy to answer questions were met with impatience and sarcasm. I had ordered the sandwiches the day before (from a really nice guy who was working in the afternoon) for morning pick up. I called in the morning to change the time and a guy answered and just set the phone down and forgot about it. After 5 minutes I hung up and called back. Took 10 minutes and three calls to accomplish something that should have taken about 30 seconds. I have never in my life walked into any establishment food or otherwise and saw what I saw when I entered Talenti's. The person who appeared to be the owner was very belittling towards his staff. A majority of the time the attitudes in this establishment are upbeat and very welcoming. I was embarrassed not only for the employees but for the owner who should know how to properly reprimand staff without making every patron in the building uncomfortable. Unprofessional and upsetting to say the least. Food is alright for deli food although it is very pricey and doesn't deserve the price tag it carries. I as well as quite a few others patrons no longer eat here due to these things. Hopefully if you go in there it's on a "good" day. read more

I have just moved to this neighborhood and I went into this deli one other time. First time I went there, I was looked at up and down by the woman that works behind the counter. I proceeded to tell her that I was new and that I was happy to be there . Needless to say I still was getting stares from her. The second time I go in the deli it was crowded and I was waiting. The young man who work behind the counter was very pleasant but they overlooked me and took a couple of people before me. I just casually mentioned that I was next and I have been waiting when the woman behind the counter jumped in and said I had not been waiting and I just walked in. I proceeded to tell her that she was wrong and absolutely overlooked when he took somebody ahead of me. He apologized as he should have because that's how you treat customers but instead she treated me like garbage . She was absolutely rude to me Even if she thought I wasn't waiting that's not how you talk to a customer. Thank God there are two other delis in the area and both who hagreed with me that was outrageous how I was treated ! read more

This place is in the location of the former C-Side Deli. I think this place is great! My husband and I walk here all the time as our new local go-to deli. They are really friendly and their sandwiches are very good. We especially love their chicken salad. My favorite part: they are kind to my pup! We kept her outside the first couple of times we visited the deli, but the owner insisted that we can bring her inside if we would like. We will be coming back often! Thanks Talenti's! read more
