Have driven by this place a few times and decided to finally give it a shot. Must say options are great. Including eel, octopus and even crab salad. Don't normally see those else where. Sauce options are good though ordering online you don't get a sense what each one is. I ordered a 3 protein bowl of octopus, eel and spicy tuna. Presentation was surprisingly nice. The assembly of the bowl was purposeful with each protein. I've dressed and in it's own spot. Was tad strange to me that the eel was like 1 big piece but delicious. Overall after having been to a few of these poke places around the island, this will come in the top 5. I wish this place had kale noodles like another favorite of mine does but rice was still delicious. I just can't stand zucchini. Forgot to take a pic was too hungry. Small cute restaurant in Syosset and the restaurant was chill. I ordered pick up and it wasn't ready when I got there, which was about 15 minutes after I ordered, but it was made very quickly once I was there. Overall pretty good however, I felt like the portion of seafood was really skimpy. I received the smallest scoop of salmon so I decided to add an additional protein ( the shrimp tempura) the quality of the fish is overall fresh and good however, I felt it is not worth price for the tiny portions. However, I do have to say maybe it was just today because I do see photos where the portion size seemed more reasonable. I do recommend to give a try, would personally not be returning. I felt like I had to pace my self every four bites of rice I can take one piece of salmon and that is not the experience I would've wanted to have for a relatively medium pried bowl. read more

I really liked this poke bowl. The two scoop bowl was super filling- I saved some for my dinner lol. I ordered salmon and spicy salmon and added avocado, mango, kani, sauce on the side, and all instructions were listened to. The fish and rice were fresh. It was around $16 but we'll worth it. I think sauce on the side is very important because you can adjust it to your liking and crunch won't get soggy and it won't be soupy like the other pics I saw. read more

I spent over two years in Hawaii, and poke may have been the hardest thing to leave behind. While I don't hold mainland poke joints to the same standard, I wasn't particularly impressed with Power Poke. The spicy ahi was too ground up to appreciate the flavor and texture of the fish. And they charged extra for both avocado and seaweed salad. But the worst part was that the rice was served cold and the unagi was too (despite being put in the toaster before it was added to my bowl). The whole point of eating poke over rice is the mixture of temperatures, kind of like eating ice cream with a warm brownie or slice of pie. If you're not too particular, you can get your fix at power poke. But if you appreciate the dish, expect a bit of a letdown. read more

This place is solid. I got the tuna lover bowl and it was very good. Very fresh fish and *GOOD FRESH RICE*. Which is a huge headline bc lots of poke places have great fish/ingredients but then have cold/stale rice (Pokeworks in the city is guilty of this). They also have these onion crisps that somehow magically stay crispy even after a 15 min drive home... I also like that they don't drown everything in sauce. I was really looking forward to this place opening in Syosset (the "coming soon" sign was in the window for a long time).... but boy was I disappointed. The bottom line is the food is about average and it's very expensive. In addition, the staff wasn't friendly at all, the parking is horrendous, and it's not a very comfortable place to have lunch. The main problem is that unlike other poke spots, EVERYTHING you want to put in the bowl is an extra charge. There are very few things behind the counter that are included in the price of a basic poke bowl. For these prices, you can enjoy the lunch specials at some of the best real sushi restaurants in Long Island. I was very excited when I heard another Poke restaurant was opening in the area, as I eat them at least twice a week. Went I checked out the menu, it was great to see proteins other than Tuna and Salmon, such as YellowtaIl and Eel. I have now eaten here twice, wanting to give it a second chance, and now that I have I never need to come back here again. Let me summarize: Scoops of fish protein are TINY! And they make sure to not overflow the scoopers Doesn't seem as fresh as some of the competitors For a similar "size" bowl, it's more money and you get less Given the PokeWorks is my goto, which also seems to have better quality, more generous helpings, and a rewards program, I don't feel the need to give this place a third try. I like how they have adjusted to Covid restrictions and make you check off the ingredients on paper menus, which then you hand over to the person prepping your bowl.
