I recently purchased a beautiful 14kt gold chain from Precious Metals Fine Jewelry at Macy's. Unfortunately, it broke, so I returned on Sunday, 7/12/2026 around 2 PM. The woman working that day -- black hair, glasses -- told me she couldn't help without a receipt and refused to take the chain back. I left upset and disappointed, especially after spending a significant amount of money. I decided to return on Tuesday and speak with Helen, who originally sold me the chain. She immediately looked at my bank statement, took the chain back without hesitation, and processed a credit to my card on the spot. Her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond reminded me why she has been there for 16 years. If you need assistance, ask for Helen. I am going to TRY to keep this review shorter than most of my reviews. The reason for that is that I am going to pinpoint the main reason that I went to this lovely Macy's inside the Fashion Square Mall. I have done several reviews for this mall and few of its stores in the past. Also, the entire review of the mall. Hands down one of the best malls near my area. Always easy to navigate, great customer service by everyone that I have encountered with past or/and present. Needed couple of sandals for Spring/Summer time. Walked in yesterday around 3pm in to Women's department on the 1st floor and was browsing all the selections that captured my attention. The minute I grabbed this one sandal, an employee approached me and wanted to know if that was the right size. I told him no, and he brought me the right size for these beautiful, comfortable sandals. He brought up that if I got 2 pairs I would save almost $9.00. Each one was $39.99 plus tax. Big savings. Tried size 6 on and it just hugged my foot and felt right. Bought both pairs (black & white) and moved on to my next journey to find a small, compact blender, that you can carry with you. Walked into the appliance department and the blender found me. $40. (Blendjet) Grabbed it along with couple of snacks and on my way back to the 1st floor, I remembered that I needed Dual Finish powder by Lancome. I was glad that I found the right one that compliments my skin tone and was on sale for $19.99. Sales associate gave me the product and I also got a cookie jar from this cute store in the mall. It was hard to pass by and not buy that. Mall was clean, prices for my purchases were very reasonably priced, they had a lot of items of every kind on SALE and walked out feeling very HAPPY!! As we all know most malls are shared with many different businesses, lots of parking, and has a food court and clean restrooms. It's a 3 story mall. 5 stars for Jeff in the shoe department. You can tell he cares about his job and was very kind and friendly. I ended up finding a pair of shoes for our tuxedo's and I'm thrilled about that. However...we came to return a tuxedo jacket we purchased from the Macys.com website. We tried three different stores but they don't really carry the tuxedos so we purchased online. When it arrived, the tuxedo jacket did not have a top button. All good...our event is two weeks away... so, we were hoping to swap it out or have a new one delivered asap. The guy in the suit department...NOT helpful. He had a sale going on with a guy buying $500 worth of pants, if they're commission based, I get it do your thing...but we were second rate at best. We ended up returning the tuxedo jacket. He told us to go online and order it again instead of swapping it out there. It was more expensive when we bought it again online, we hope it will arrive in time with both buttons, but who knows. read more

re COSMETICS, floor manager Marjorie Cruz: I pre-ordered cosmetics and arranged for the package to be delivered on June 9. I waited 3 days, but did not receive. Called a department. The could not find any record of my purchase. Drove to Macy's but my original sales person was not working. Others came over to me thinking that they had a sale. Both women had broken English, and one really could not communicate OR understand me. One sales lady went to a private service area and could not find my order. Nobody could find my orther #. One sales gal told me to leave and she was SURE it was going to be delivered. BUT I KNEW SOMETHING was wrong. Nope. When you know, you know. I asked the sales person w/ broken English to call the floor manager. She was hesitant, but I was firm. Shortly, the Cosmetic manager (Ms. Marjorie Cruz) showed up WITH my bag of paid cosmetics!!! She found my stuff in a heap of "wrong addresses." I received SUCH good service and kindness with Marjorie that I wanted upper level management to know just how great she is for Macy's. As my mom taught me, sometimes you have to ask for the manager...... Marjorie gave me her card and told me to contact her anytime; AND she gifted me some discount coupons as a thank you for my patience. This lovely young woman has been w/ Macy's for 13 years! They are lucky to have her. Thank you again, Marjorie. ONE comment only: I was very frustrated with the salesperson who had poor language skills. This is for the online pick up orders. Gotta like the option to order and pickup at your nearest Macy's to avoid those testy porch pirates. The staff working in this department are very pleasant and efficient. If you need to try on your clothes or shoes, there's a dressing room. STOCKED. Turns out my bf and I have been looking in the wrong Macy's all this time!! We never find anything at the other malls and we're huge pokemon collectors and fans! We love shopping for Pokemon Jazwares specifically and was super surprised to find a good variety at this one! Not sure if they just had stock for Black Friday or what? I guess we just never bothered checking this location since the mall itself isn't as great as say Topanga Mall. For whatever reason, the check out was hard to find?? This spot is located next to the Returns or Online Pickups so I wasn't able to check out there. Turns out since we were here on Black Friday, they just had small express checkouts around the corner lol. This Macy's location is very organized and clean.. it is easy to navigate and find the items you're looking for. This location has one of the best shoes selections. They have variety of shoe sizes and brands. They have brands that you can't find in other stores. I also need to add the employees in this location are very friendly and nice. I was asked couple of times, if I needed help or if they can help me locate what I am looking for . In other locations it is hard find employees to help, but it was not the issue in this location. My wife ordered a boys XL size yellow polo shirt online. It was too big. I went to Macy's located at 14006 Riverside Dr, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. On November 19th 2025.. I was able to exchange the shirt for a medium size with no problem. Of course the medium size was too small. I returned to the Macy's today, November 20, 2025. The woman named Miriam was very friendly, and helpful, at the children's downstairs counter. For whatever reason, Mariam couldn't do the transaction, she called the manager. The manager's name was Tony. Tony told me to go return it at a different location in the store and come back and pay $20 extra for the same shirt, one size bigger. I repeated it to him, "so what you're telling me, is I came here yesterday and exchanged the same shirt for a smaller size with no problem. I come today, and I want one size up and you want me to pay $20 extra, Tony replied, "yes". I said, "that doesn't seem fair to me". Tony said, "that was yesterday, and this is today". I went to Macy's looking for home accessories and stumbled upon a wide selection of sofas and other furniture. I was honestly so surprised at how much stuff they had and how helpful and knowledgeable the sales associates were, mainly Reza! I've been shopping for a sofa for a while now since we moved into our new house and I was so surprised to find such great options for such great prices at my local department store. Next time I will need to bring my husband with me to check out the couches himself but we will be back and will recommend macys for any furniture needs! read more

I accompanied my client here to check out the women's shoes. For a weekday it is busy. Shoes cluttered on the floor and the benches where to try shoes were occupied. We circled around until a bench was empty. And so the quest begins, my client tried one too many sandals. Then she didn't like any of them. The sales lady is so sweet even how busy she is. It been awhile since I visited this Macy store inside Westfield Sherman Oaks so today was the day to finally come back. I found parking easily at the parking structure for the mall but there another private parking lot closer to Macy. I came inside the store right when the gate went up and the day after their black Friday. This Macy store is 3 floors but I only stayed on the second and third floor. They have a lot of stuff on sale because I think they are extending their black Friday sales. I looked at some Levi, Nike and Boss stuff but nothing grab my interest to where I brought something. I went to macys at Westfield mall in Sherman oaks yesterday to return Christmas gifts. I had 2 sweaters and earrings to return. I had no problem with the sweaters , but when I went to return earrings ( which were from fine jewelry) the sales associate was putting in refund when she asked if it was to go back on the original card I said no because it was a gift. Unfortunately the sales person pushed the button and the money went back to the gift givers cc. She tried to delete it but because it was paypal her supervisor said they couldn't reverse it I told them it was from a family member and I didn't want her to know I returned it. All I got was " sorry ". Not acceptable!!! I did leave the store and do not want to return. I have a store gift receipt for the sweaters but I don't want to go back to purchase anything from the store. The earrings were expensive and now I have nothing. The sales person said" I "should contact the relative and have her give me the money back ! Just went there for black Friday and bought an ornament. The lady was very nice but when I went to buy a polo shirt that was on sale the price didn't match the price tag. It was $20 more than the tag price making the sale price nothing. I understand these things happen but the cashier was rude and said we didn't change the price yet with a very mad face. Today was that day. Angelo, was my shoe guy and he brought me out the 2 pairs of Steve Madden suede boots that caught my eye. Of course I fell in love with the more expensive pair...but you get what you pay for. The cheaper pair were very uncomfortable and my foot looked crooked in them if that is actually possible?! Okay...I have to tell a story about my men's suit shopping experience at Macy's: I donated all my suits during Covid because they were old, old style, not being worn. A year ago I kept saying to myself--I need to just buy one suit in case something comes up that I need a suit. Kept putting it off--I have not purchased a suit in more than 25 years! Last week I get a call that they need me to work in a suit in 2 days. Best I was able to put together was my favorite sport jacket and pants. Got a little grief over that but it worked out fine. Decided it was time to shop so this does not happen again. Looked online and then headed to Macy's. Get to the Men's Suit Department to discover that they have tons of suits all pre-tailored to jacket size and pants width and length. No tailor works in Macy's anymore--all the suits are ready to wear. Only one problem: With the exception of the Ralph Lauren Suits, every other manufacture they sell and every other suit are cut for men that were told by the wardrobe department to come dressed camera ready for a comedy show wearing a suit where the sleeves are too short, the center button pulls on the jacket like it does not fit, the seat is as tight as a woman's Lululemon yoga pant, and the pant's hem is higher than the ankle like flood water pants. Another-words--buy a suit so you look like a total A-hole so people will laugh at you! AKA Thin-Fit Suit--which makes up 90% of suits in Macy's!--that no one is buying and is a terrible fad that will be out of style soon. Folks, let me tell you something--I have the bod that fits these thin suits, but when you put them on, you cannot sit comfortably and it looks ridiculous--like you are mimicking Pee Wee Herman! There were 15 people last night in the Men's Suit department and they were all asking the nice women in the suit department the same question: Do you have any suits that don't make me look like a Schmuck? And the answer she kept on giving to everyone is only Ralph Lauren makes a traditional suit that does not look ill-fitting on a man these days. RL has a ton of different patterns--I tried on a dark grey RL and it fit incredible--was on sale for 50% off--could not go home without it. ($700 reduced to $350--Wool and Poly Blend) Cut exactly to size--both jacket and pants waist and length, no alterations needed anywhere--perfect out of the box. Ralph Lauren also had a cool blue and black tiny herringbone pattern sport jacket I did not really need, but looked great on I had to take too. ($300 reduced to $125). The saleswoman tried to apply another 30% friends and family discount over that but the computer balked at it and warned that Ralph Lauren prohibits that on these garments. Did not intend to spend so much $$ tonight--but now I am ready for anything. Can someone here now please invite me to an event that I have to wear a suit !? (30 day return policy--keep tags on.) Easy easy free parking right outside the Macy's door on the East side of the building, enter Macy's--suits right there! Easy! Fitting room: Very well lit, some bigger than others--not all have a bench to sit down for some reason, lot's of rooms, doors don't lock so people kept knocking, floor okay clean--not to my perfection, I pushed away the pins. read more

I recently paid a visit to Macy's in Sherman Oaks for some retail therapy. A wonderful woman gave me her business card that read Anait Dzhebedzyan. She gave me the best customer service ever. I came in to specifically look at watches. Anait was so helpful without being pushy at all. She made me feel welcomed and she really took her time with me. I tried on quite a few watches. In the end, I wound up purchasing two of them which I LOVE!! Both were Michael Kors. Thank you again Anait for great customer service! I don't shop at this Macy's often. I did see Brittney Spears chased by papparazzi here years ago while buying a sweater for my husband. But that's not why I come here to shop. Sometimes I get tired of the merchandise at the Burbank location so I need to branch out. Their sales might not be as good, but sometimes you do find a deal! Good selection for the ladies. For the gents, it used to be better, more preppy style clothes now and too much color. They used to have hipper brands. The store is big (2 levels), elevators not all working, but it's big and clean. Not crowded except the fragrance area, there were too many people working there, I thought it was a convention of some sort. Otherwise, pretty calm and decent shopping experience, more people wroking around if you have questions. Overall a nice location, good to shop at once in a while. read more

Probably shop somewhere else for just about anything! Gabe, emp#91211875, the supposed "supervisor," has no clue how to service a customer, and your first level employees seem to go by multiple names (Frances/Josh) so you can't track them. No wonder Macy's is having trouble staying in business. What a disgrace and joke your company has become! No one to help on the floor and no one to help on the phone. Over the years, my view of this branch of Macy's has changed drastically. For the past 4 years, I have been going back because they seem to be the most consistent Macy's when it comes to store cleanliness and organization, ease of navigation, quality and unique items that other branches don't carry, and courteous staff on the women's floor. This review deserves a star - On 11/20/21 at 7 PM i walked up to the Mens Polo register. For at least 30 mins, while I shopped, i was not approached by the young man behind the register: he was talking to his two young female friends, who I believe were also associates but off work. I had two items( polo jeans and l/s shirt) i was going to buy. I asked if his register was open. He replied, "yes, but I have a lot of clothes to fold, so go to Mens Shoes. ( yes he did have a lot to fold). I was so stunned by his refusal that I walked thru Mens Shoes, Clothing and Furnishings: no one to be found to ring the sale. I left my would be purchases on top on of the underwear fixtures and walked out. What a waste of my time and Macys payroll. I am ashamed for Macy's Sherman Oaks associates who work hard, can multi task and provide proper customer service. I will elevate my complaint further. read more

I'm either a fan or a creature of habit (to a degree). Clothing (for Men), Shoes and Beauty are on the main level while Bedding, Furniture, Houseware and Children Clothing is below... Women's Clothing is on the top floor. Macy's Sherman Oaks carries a good variety of selects for men which is not always the norm in my experience they have some killer dress/business ware though higher end and overpriced, yet also have some mainstream in season fashionable trends at great market value. I've found some really rare pieces in their mark down/clearance section which gets updated seasonally and with their thematic 40% everyday staple. Guess shirt almost half off.... I'll buy into it and I'll buy it lol. This Macy's also has some great makeup techs and "scentologist"... that's not a word... but you get what I mean. My mom often gets one of the same two sales beings when visiting and shopping for a new fragrance and they do their absolute best to meet your needs.... not every experience here can be a 10... however they do try... I've never had any major problems here... almost everyone is friendly. Though I agree when it's time to check out or those rare moments when you need direct assistance there are hardly any Macy's Crew Members to aid you... but I keep in mind during the week foot traffic is slower and they probably don't have a need to staff as many able people. I have shopped here for myself and with friends or family over the years... coming in from the lower level makes for and easier in and out if driving, but either or works if local or on foot... just be careful of those drivers who never stop behind the line... if you're one of them... please be cautious. read more
