I like this Macy's because it tends to be in stock and have more of a variety than others. I will make the trek all the way to Oakridge just to come here because I feel it's better than VF. Plus, I don't have to walk all the way across the mall if I JUST want a different department. It helps that I can buy other things here too... like MAC products or other makeup things. The rest room doors/stalls don't lock in the women's section of the store. Oh my goodness... have you ever checked out the CLEARANCE section of the shoes for ladies? I found Jessica Simpson heels/pumps/sandals for a friggin steal... :) I felt sorry for the guy walking/crawling around there to keep it organized. Purses, :) I love when they bring out the tables to throw purses about in... I usually find brand name purses for under $30 :) I don't think I have ever bought clothes at Macy's... Had to shop for some boys khakis today. First time to Macy's in a while. I couldn't believe how slow the service was. They had only one person at each check out station and every one has only one or two customers and they were all having some type of issue. We went to 3 registers and waited a total of 20 minutes to buy one pair of pants. No wonder Macy's is going out of business. They are probably with worst run retailer and deserve to under. read more

He will make you look flawless but at the same time natural. Benefit products are great no doubt but he will teach you how to use them to create an effortless look. He makes me feel like a superstar. He picked the perfect natural everyday lip color for my skin tone. Love the Possie tint and Benetint (lip and cheek tints that look natural) swear by the high beam and high brow to accent check bones and brow arch. Over the past year, I made several attempts to checkout a comfortable $8000.00 retail (King size) bed. I was looking at either Beautyrest or Hotel Collection. There never seems to be a sales person in the Bed Department when I'm there. I was at the Macy's Oakridge Bed Department the day after Christmas ready to purchase a high end bed and box spring when after 15 minutes I never saw a Bed Department Sales person. With that kind of negative service I hope the store will survive. It's very unfortunate because Macy's at one time was the go to Department Store for me. Since I didn't find anybody to help me in the Bed Department, I decided to look for clothing in the men's department. The store is so short handed that the merchandise in many areas didn't look as neat as the local Goodwill Store. The management at Macy's should perhaps follow Costco's lead for both staffing and merchandise presentation during the Holiday Season. Best Wishes to All! read more

I love their merchandise. Not so much their service. This has happened to me twice: I want to get a perfume and there is nobody at the counter. The first time I waited a loooong time before I decided to walk around and look for someone to help me. The second time, I waited again for a loooong time and nobody ever showed up. I decided to not buy my perfume there since they have another store in Oakridge where I can get it. During the holidays, they appeared to be shorthanded and the cashiers did not seem to be well trained. When I went on 12/23, this one cashier was taking about 30 minutes with each customer (no kidding) and her fellow cashier suddenly decided to go 'check on something really quick' leaving the register unattended forever. Us customers were getting impatient. I was next in line so I decided to go 'grab' one of the ladies organizing the merchandise and asked her to call the manager. Luckily she had cash-register access and was able to ring me up. But it was awful! read more

Every time I go into this Macy's and go to a specific department there is never an employee there to help you. The last two times I was there I specifically went to the handbag department, and the other time was to go to the Sunglass Hut department. Each time I go into this store I am reminded of why I hate shopping in person all together. Which sucks because sometimes you need to pick something up right away. The time that I went to the handbag department I had to go over to jewelry to see if they knew where the handbag person was, and they had no clue, but had them page the employee on the radio or whatever and told me they were in the stock room. Another 10 minutes later there was still no one there to help me out. Another issue I was having was that the handbag I wanted was on display and had a mark on it so I really needed help from them to check to see if there was another one in stock. I really wanted to use if for a wedding that weekend so ordering it wasn't an option. Finally, a manager (Jose) came to help and wasn't very helpful at all. He had to keep walking back and forth to try and figure out what was in stock and had no clue how to actually help. It was determined that there wasn't any of the handbags I wanted in stock that weren't damaged. So he was only going to offer me 10% off the damaged handbag, which basically is a couple dollars off. I almost went for it because the handbag matched perfectly to my outfit that I was wearing to the wedding, but totally would have been ripped off if I did that. I ended up buying a basic one at Target that matched well. The employee for that department never showed up and I wasted about 35 minutes of my time to walk out with nothing. Then the next time I went to this Macy's I specifically went there to buy new sunglasses from Sunglass Hut. I had a coupon that was getting close to expiring and needed to replace my broken sunglasses. Again, no employee around to help. There was another lady trying to get help as well. I waited for about 10-15 minutes and still no one was around to help. So I decided to go take care of some other things I needed to do at the mall and would check back on my way out of the mall. On my way out of the mall there still was no employee around. It is just ridiculous. Every time you ask the other employees that are around all they ever say "it's not my department, were separate, blah, blah, blah". So again, I wasted time in the store again and left empty handed. Figure it out Macy's. Get some good customer service employees that aren't off somewhere not doing their job. read more

This review is for Tailor Square, since I can't seem to find it anywhere else to give them one star. COMPLETE disappointment. Went to get fitted for a tux a month and a half before the wedding. We did this for the purpose of having time for alterations since it was an out of state wedding. We were told it would be ready in four weeks. About four and a half weeks go and no word, so I called to follow up. THEY NEVER EVEN SUBMITTED THE ORDER. No tux. Called us once and left a voicemail we couldn't understand (no details in the message - we thought it was a wrong number) and never called again. They gave us a full refund, but here we sit, at Men's Warehouse getting a tux for a wedding in three weeks. Which - by the way - Men's Warehouse is actually going to have a tux ready for us. So thanks for the added stress, Tailor Square. We will let everyone know what a poor experience we had. read more

I liked to come there most of the times but not on weekends. Last time I went there last weekend, oh gush, it was my mistake, it was not pleasant. Downstairs women's clothes department was a hell ( MESS, MESS MESS with clothes all on the flour and dumped all over on shelves. Also for strange reason it was ONLY one dressing room available, 25 people in line to try the clothes on and nobody from staff there to help.) When I came upstairs sales ladies all three of them started jumping on me with "How are you?" "Did you find everything ok?" I went to MACY'S on Wednesday June 7th 2017 with my mother. We went to the checkout line at the Women's clothing area and we were the 6th person in line. Mind you there's only one person working at the register and she was very nice so I didn't mind the wait until the floor manager named Darcy came out of nowhere and decided to take over with one of the registers to helped a lady that was from another area of the store. She then proceeded to ask if anyone in line that is picking up an order and yes someone did answer and that someone is a lady who was standing behind me. Now I'm waiting 30 minutes into it. Darcy decided to help out the lady who she brought over and the pickup instore items lady behind me okay I didn't care. What got me mad is that Darcy told the worker to take care of the instore pickup lady while I was next and then after that she told the worker to take care of the lady that she was helping from another area because she couldn't do it herself. Now tell me why I shouldn't have the right to be angry. I told Darcy "excuse me but I've been waiting here for 40 mins patiently too and you have this lady who was behind me get help beforehand and the lady who you brought over you couldn't do to get ahead of me." Darcy says "well we have people who order in store to get their items first , did you order the item?" Instead of saying sorry she says "that people who pickup items in store are served first." I told her "there's no policy like that. " Below is a copy of the pickup items instore. Doesn't say they have the right to be served first.!!!!!!!!!! You place your order online. The selected store receives your order. Your merchandise is selected from the store's current inventory and prepared for pick up. We contact you when it's ready and notify you if anything changes. You pick up your order, no shipping fee incurred! I decided to look at her name tag and called Macy to talk to a higher upper management person and I think that's when Darcy realizes she might be in trouble. After a few mins she decided to help us and called me over with her fingers who the hell does that no respect no manners what you should say is excuse me mrs. She then proceeds to ask me if she should give me a discount for waiting so long. Wtf that's your job don't say it like i need your discount. Instead she should say "I'm sorry you waited so long in line and I would like to offer you ten percent or whatever. " I didn't get a sorry I got yelled at and I got the come here finger that's for a child. My suggestion for you Macy's is who hired Darcy and someone need to train her in manners and customer service. Not only am I buying your products and keep your business afloat but I also want to feel relaxed and welcome and not to be yelled at. Shame on you Darcy!! And the people who hired her. read more

She was by herself on Memorial Day running the floor and helping multiple clients. I have shopped at several different Macy's and this one is the worst. It definitely has the feel of a store on its way out. The clothes racks are a complete mess - haphazardly hung, mixed sizes, mixed items, etc. And the dressing rooms are even worse! Because the "go back" stands are completely overflowing with clothes, the dressing rooms are chock full of unwanted items. As far as salespeople to help - it's a ghost town. What few associates they have are on the registers, and even these are few and far between. The associates they do have seem harried and not very helpful. She took the time to help me through sorting, sizing, and matching various attire I needed, and then some, for an upcoming wedding. This Macy's has plenty of choices for different brands that I like. Their products are great coming from particular retailers that they carry. I've purchased watches and jewelry in the department before with ease and the staff were helpful as well when I'm looking for a specific item. There are some problems I have with this Macy's, including a dated interior that doesn't appeal much or change, a low inventory of numerous products, and the structures such as the elevator and escalator needs necessary improvement and updates since they often break down. I prefer the Macy's at Westfield Valley Fair because it has a larger inventory, a massive store, and a more opulent resemblance. read more

In my option, Macy's varies by locations as I'm sure their buyers cater to the neighborhoods and typical clients shopping in that particular store. This location is clean and organized. The foot traffic is not too bad in this store, and they carry all the major Macy's brands--Alfani, American Rag, INC, Tasso Elba, etc. They have limited selection in bigger named, higher-end brands. This Macy's is part of the Oakridge Mall. I would have to say that it's one of the better Macy's I've gone to. I feel like this Macy's has better selection that the one at the Macy's in Eastridge. Their prices are pretty affordable but it can get a little messy in there due to all the wonderful coupons and 1-day sales that Macy's always has. The coupons can be misleading at times because a lot of their stuff can't be considered when using some of the coupons. But what else can you expect when a place has that many sales and has good bargains. I love it when they offer discounts on designer hand bags! Sometimes the bags come out to really great prices!! I often find things I want to buy at Macy's, so on the occasions I shop, I will go there. But, from a service standpoint, it is extremely lacking. The women's shoe dept. had 1 person to get the shoes from the back AND ring up the purchases. There were 7 people having to wait in line at the cash register, just to show the girl what shoes we wanted to try on. I was the 3rd person in line, and had to wait at least 20 minutes just to get the shoes from the back. I then visited the Lanacome cosmetics dept. I knew what I wanted; the lady behind the counter told me to go over to the cash register side, as they won't come around their counters to help people. She said no one was waiting, and I'd be next. Not only were there others already waiting, but I had to wait a good 25 minutes to get any service. Finally a girl who had been wandering around, and had her back to the clients was told to come help. When I told her the shade of bronzer I wanted, she looked around for a while, and then told me they only had 2 out of the 6 or more shades, and they were very dark. I told her those wouldn't work. She said she'd go look in the back. I eventually had to order it on-line. There was also a free gift of sample products with the purchases I made. I asked what the difference was in the options offered, and she didn't know anything about the products, other than that her mother uses one of them. The products don't come with information on how to use them, so if their own sales/service people don't know what they are for, or what is contained in them, I can't see Macy's sales improving. I had also bought some clothes. There are very few check-out lines, and only one person working them, and it is an extremely slow process. So, overall, this is not a store you can run in during your lunch hour and make some quick buys. You need hours to shop at Macy's, and that is not beneficial browsing, that is waiting in lines for service that isn't there. There is more of a selection at the store in Valley Fair, but I usually shop based upon location, and sometimes a bigger store isn't better. I will be back, but only for as long as there aren't better options at other stores on certain items that I wish to buy. read more

This is a standard Macy's with a standard selection and average customer service. The dressing rooms can be pretty messy and the wait can be pretty long on the weekends, so don't go if you are in a hurry to find and try something on fast. Check online for coupons! Macys is my favorite store at Oakridge Mall and this Macys is great to shop at. They are large and usually have a lot of inventory. They are conveniebtly located near where I live. It can take time to get service during busy times, like the holidays or slow times as well when they may only have one staff person and a few people needing help, however, I enjoy shopping at this Macys a lot. It is also good for just running in to do a return since the parking is usually not as crowded as Valleyfair. read more
