We were shopping at Oakridge Mall today and stopped by Nordstrom Rack before going home. It was busy inside, but I have to compliment Nordstrom's team of employees for having everything neat and organized today. All the displays were done so nicely for holiday shopping. They had a huge variety of items and a section for stocking stuffers, which I thought was very clever. I came specifically for a few pairs of the hidden socks/no-show socks. They actually had quite a variety of colors and options. I bought a few pairs of them for a really good price. I also found some gifts to give for Christmas. The checkout line was very long. They did have five employees at the checkout, which made the line move fast. Overall, we had a great experience shopping here today. read more

And made me get in line at the check out... that makes no sense when on the email it says register OR pick up area. Tell me how that makes sense? And after that she just put her air pods in and left. I'll start by saying I do enjoy browsing here and purchasing things here occasionally. I hardly go here but sometimes I like to stop in and look. Tonight wasn't a pleasant experience. I asked an associate for help finding some women's blazers. She was kind enough to point out some spots in the store . But when she walked w me by one of them she then inserts something such as "But we don't have bigger sizes over here." She may have not meant it toward my body type at all, but I have to say as a plus-sized woman, it did offend me. It felt unprofessional to say the least. It did feel like a jab at my body type . One side note is I do wish there were some more options for plus size women like in the coat section. By the time I got to register, there's absolutely no line and two workers behind the counter, one w her back to me. Her co worker literally had to point out that I was standing there, when she did, the girl w her back to me who was working on a task, I literally heard her say "I'm doing something." Seriously? I've worked in customer service girl. That's perfectly fine but the second you hear there's a customer you stop your task if you can to help them- and she clearly could. Not to mention my experience w her checking out wasn't pleasant- she was very monotonous. I'll still shop here occasionally but the staff are not that friendly. But I especially am HIGHLY offended by that first associate commenting on size when I NEVER even mentioned size, just wanted to know generally where the women's blazers are.... read more

Great products and prices but need to do better on being more efficient in doing their purchase, returns and order pick ups. One stop shop doesn't work well for the holidays. Service used to be more efficient when they had associates ringing up customers with a portable register to scan items with customers able to pay with a card. Also better when they had a separate line for order pick-ups. read more

Here I an again at Nordstrom Rack. Christmas shopping for some slippers for my husband. I am in search of UGG slippers to keep his feet warm and they only have a few styles to choose from. I found one pair for $40 but it wasn't what I wanted, and then found exactly what I wanted For $80. As always, I looked through the purse section and found a cute Jessica McClintock rhinestone bag for $24, score, its small but big enough to fit my phone in. Employees were doing their best to check everybody out and get them on their way as a long line had formed zigzagging through the store. read more

Be ware of that place , I returned 9 items and when I got back home I found out that they only credited me back only 8 of them In order to get the refund of the last item it was super annoying and they didn't even bother compensating for any time lost or inconvenience Their customer service is very bad and unprofessional I would stay away from that store ! read more

My favorite store at Oakridge Mall! The best deals and the best parking. I love how convenient the parking is.... right outside the store. And there are always open spots which is nice! And I always find great designer pieces on sale every time I go. The store is pretty clean and organized, never that busy, the staff is nice and attentive, and the lines are never long. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! I came in to try on suits for my cousin's wedding and had one of the worst experiences. The employee who let me into the fitting rooms didn't give me a number tag for my items. At one point, I stepped just outside my fitting room to show my girlfriend an outfit and left the door slightly open. A middle-aged white lady employee came by, apparently thought we had crawled under the door like kids, and accidentally opened my room for another customer. She yelled "Oh my god!" and when I said, laughing a bit, "That's my room," she turned to us furious and demanded, "How did you even get into this room?" I told her, "Someone let us in," and she snapped back, "Then where's your number tag?" in a way that implied we were lying. She then stormed off without another word. It was embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I will never shop at this location again. read more

In Oakridge, a woman working in the fitting room (long hair with glasses, in her sixties) preaches customers about how to hanging clothes when that's HER job. I had too many clothes on my hands, plus my purse and coat, and she should notice that. I tried to be polite, stayed quiet and she even asked me: do you understand?. Some people should stay home and preach their relatives if they don't like their job. Very uncomfortable experience. read more

For shoes only you can comb through the lots and probably find one pair of something making it worth the visit!! As far as clothes, the selection seemed limited as the store is kinda small as well. This is for order pick up only: I visited the Oakridge store for a pickup on November 23rd at 1 PM. When I arrived, there were no other customers waiting. I approached the pickup counter, where a young female employee (larger, with dark hair) informed me that she was helping another customer. However, the customer she was referring to was walking around the store, continuing to browse and point out various items. I stepped back to wait, but this turned into a 15-minute ordeal as the employee repeatedly attended to the customer's browsing and dealt with payment issues. During this time, I grew increasingly frustrated because the store advertises its pickup process as "easy." To make matters worse, at least 10 other customers were assisted at different counters while I continued to wait. Eventually, I approached another employee, Arsalan, who was fantastic. He quickly scanned the barcode I had ready, and I received my order in just 15 seconds. Arsalan deserves 5 stars for his efficiency and excellent customer service. In stark contrast, the female employee at the pickup counter demonstrated no critical thinking or sense of urgency. When I left, she was still assisting the same customer. This experience was deeply disappointing and nearly caused me to cancel my order and shop elsewhere, like Macy's. Businesses lose customers over situations like this. Arsalan's professionalism is the only reason I am not leaving a one star review. read more

I was at this store recently and realized after leaving I left my credit card. I called to confirm and was put on a short hold. The employee returned and said they don't have it. I asked her how that was possible because she had not yet asked me what my name was. Her response was that we keep records of recently left cards. I told her not only had she not asked what my name was but she also didn't ask what date I was there or what type of card. I was then put on hold and she returned and asked for my name. I told her I no longer trusted her and I would need to speak with someone else. Again put on hold. She said now the manager wanted to know my name. I told her I would tell the manager when she picked up the phone. She then transferred me to the store managers voicemail. I am in shock at this point... I really don't want to cancel my card because of some rude and lazy employee. read more

This used to be a very convenient place for order pick up of online orders but no longer. Originally there was a separate line for order pick up but now it's one line for purchases, returns and order pick up. As the cashiers here are very slow and there are usually only one or two cashier helping customers at any time, it's now a long wait to pick up and no longer convenient. read more

Oh! what mess...no one has "sized" the merchandise in a very long time...one is required to dig through bras jammed in the wrong size areas...Yes, this will daunt and stop customer searching. Desperate, I found a two-fer -...brand unknown...stapled together...v nice check out lady - grandmother...got the merchandise home...tried on...Straight to Goodwill. Never again. First time visit to a Nordstrom Rack, during our monthly shopping malls senior field trip. Very nice Oakridge mall, would visit again because of the upscale ambiance and variety of retailers. Cheese cake factory and Ranch 99 restaurants are available, besides the food court. The NR had quality goods with reasonable prices, although the shop was extremely basic racks and rows. My co-shoppers were very excited about this particular shop and the prices. Many of the seniors bought New Balance sneakers at a great price, funny! I bought beautiful lacy panties, 5 pack for $15 (lol). I really have enjoyed these $5 shopping mall adventure trips with other seniors, because they teach me so much. This Nordstrom Rack is usually my go-to location, since it seems to have the biggest selection in shoes of my size. No matter how many people are inside, it always seems to be very well-kept. I love how organized this location is, and it's on the corner which means there's a lot of parking right by it. Over the years, I have seen this specific location moved different areas around. When you walk into the store, everything flows. It doesn't feel like when you walk in and there is going to be a lot of random items thrown at you. It's more every section has a purpose and leads you to another section that would make sense, following the area or section you just left. The fitting room is always neat and properly kept. The only time I've ever seen this store a mess is usually the children's shoe area and that's not very often. I did a return at the store yesterday, and I must say the employee that assisted me was so quick and efficient. I believe his name was John. His customer service, and attention to detail are skills that every cashier should have. Thank you for making the transaction so seamless. read more

This Nordstrom rack location was a nice addition to Oakridge mall. It's relatively large in size and has a lot of variety. For the most part, the store is very organized and tidy. The employees working at the registers are usually very friendly and helpful. On a normal weekday or weekend, finding parking here is never an issue. The only time it gets pretty crazy is around Christmas time. If you're looking for new clothes, shoes, jewelry, home accessories or sleepwear, I definitely recommend checking out Nordstrom Rack. read more

Here to give a huge shoutout and thank you to Barry! I had ordered a couple of dresses from Nordstrom and had them sent to the Rack because it's closer to me. They were supposed to have it yesterday, but due to a delivery delay, it only arrived today. My order was not marked ready for pickup, but I was advised by a Nordstrom rep to come in and ask to see if they'll give me the package. I came in around 8:15PM and explained my situation (I needed to get the dresses in time for an event this weekend), and Barry was so sweet and helpful. He had so many packages to process, but he dug in the bin of packages to find mine and get it processed for me then and there. Pretty much garbage quality clothing I think the clothes have been on the rack for so long that after one wear or one wash you need to throw them away. And then they won't accept any refund if you remove the tag so why shop here specially when you can buy something from Amazon and return it easily again the quality is just extremely low. read more

I've always loved Nordstrom rack but haven't shopped there in a few years. I used to go to the one at westgate, I never shopped at this one. Love the westgate one. I did however place an order online at Nordstrom and they said to pick up my order at Nordstrom Rack... I walk in thinking it will be quick and easy, but when I ask where the order pickup is, they point to the very long line for returns. Why in the world would order pickup be the same line as returns???!!!! It has now been almost a year since this happened but I keep remembering how inefficient and unbelievable this was so my boyfriend finally got tired of me mentioning it and told me to just write a review. I waited 30 min for a pickup when it should have taken 1 min. I even had to leave and come back later because who has time to stand in line all day? People that want to make a return that's who. Y'all are sleeping on this Nordstrom Rack location! They are currently holding a sale for 50% off ALL DRESSES (until Aug 16, 2020). I picked up a Reformation dress (typically $100) for $10!? I've been coming here for years and always leave with a great deal. This is where I've found my Longchamp Le Pliage Expandable purse (sold during the Anniversary Sale for $120 and regularly priced at $195) for $65! I've also picked up steeply discounted Stuart Weitzman shoes, like Leather 'Reserve' Over-the-Knee Boots (Orig. $695) for $200. Note: If you find a tag that says "Worn & Refinished" (I have purchased several W&R items from the shoe department) that just means that the item had been returned to Nordstrom in a gently-worn condition (perhaps scuffed or slightly damaged), taken to a cobbler/shoemaker to be fixed to a like-new condition, and then highly discounted for sale at the Nordstrom Rack. I've always found these items to be in great quality and last just as long as similar items I'd purchased brand new. Similarly, clothing items may be "Altered or Refinished." Perhaps a dress got returned at Nordstrom after the previous owner had shortened the hem, or a white top got damaged in-store because a customer got foundation on it. These items may get sent to a seamstress/cleaner to repair the item and resell it at a like-new condition and extra discounted price at the Rack. For example, the $10 Reformation dress I bought had the puff sleeves brought in to make the sleeve shorter -- this happened to be perfect for my arm length! read more

Great sales and inventory in this store. Shoes are of an unusual high end brands so great finds in the shoe department. You almost have to come in weekly because of the high turnover in stock. If you see something, you better buy it cause it won't be there later. Great return policy. read more

"Next time go to valleyfair" Is what the associate told me to do for my Nordstrom return. I wanted to visit this location to check out their designer sales or any other types of sales they might have. Also to check out the stores inside the mall itself. I would've gone to valleyfair but it's a bit far and wanted to go somewhere close by home. I purchased some items at Nordstroms and wanted to return them, I checked online and it does say they are able to make returns for Nordstroms and Nordstroms.com except fine jewelry which I didn't have. So I thought perfect I can make the return at Nordstroms rack. While browsing around, I couldn't find anything I liked besides makeup wipes and decided to do a return. The associate calls me over and asked for my phone number, I gave it to her and I handed her my items to return and said I would like to return these items and they are from Nordstroms. She looks at the items and said " next time go to Valleyfair" In confusion I told her "I checked online and it says I can make Nordstroms returns at Nordstroms rack?" She looks at the items and proceeds the return in silence. She gives me the receipt and asked if I wanted to purchase the wipes I said yes. Once that transaction was done I gave her the Nordstroms bag since I brought my own reusable bag and I said, " is it okay if you toss this out?" She looks at the bag points at it and says, "use it for your item!" I told her " I want to use my own reusable bag I don't want to have so much" she stares at it and slowly takes the bag and tosses it out and looks away. I felt like a bother to her, the return was not her sale and it was just a simple return! Maybe I should just go to Valleyfair and not bother coming to Nordstroms rack anymore. Today security guy Steven closed the gate to the mall early and separated me from my 5 year old child. The gate was closed 6 minutes before closing time and it was unannounced. I emphasized as he was closing the gate that I needed to get my child and he said, "sorry, when the gate closes there's a time lock that won't allow me to open it." This was a bold-faced lie. Several other shoppers came to the gate well before 8pm and another employee got the key and opened the gate. Steven, you separated a parent from their young child by closing the gate early and then lied about being able to open it. You're a liar and I hope you aren't given any real responsibility with your lack of ethics and abundant ignorance. Security guard syndrome at its worst. Thank you goes to the good employee who did the right thing and let me and the other seven people out of the gate. I got my child back. read more

I enjoy shopping at this location as the sales staff and management are attentive to their customers. The store has a good selection of clothes, accessories, makeup and household items. During the holidays and sale promotions, there are longer lines and wait time, but totally understandable. The staff are respectful and are always willing to assist customers. read more

6 years later, I must write an updated review because my experience today wasn't the greatest. I was standing by an empty rack waiting for my mom to finish her shopping. I knew standing there, I wouldn't be in anyones way but apparently, I was a nuisance to whom I assumed was the manager. She cleaned off the scraps left on the top of the rack but instead of picking things up gently or swiping everything towards her, she swipe it towards my face resulting in dust flying all over in front of my face and me breathing it in. I had moved out of her way so she could clean the top of the rack so what was the reason for her to rudely do what she did? She could easily say excuse me if I didn't move enough or tell me to stand somewhere else. Does she think because she has a higher position in her department she can act so rudely towards other people? Even the way she was answering customers questions were so condescending and rude. I guess when you're working in retail, it's a right of passage to treat the customers with immense disrespect. read more

I bought a pair of leather look biker shorts I was gonna wear them to work out so when I got home I cut the tag off and put them on and I didn't really like the fit so I brought them back about a week later and the cashier was very rude and said she can't take them back with no tag and I had the receipt and the tag I said I haven't worn them and so she called the manager and manager came over he was extremely rude wouldn't even look me in the eye just looked at the biker shorts thoroughly and said there's a stain on them and I said well i didn't do it anyways he made me feel like A criminal returning a $29 item I got a gift card from him I said I appreciate it he wouldn't even look at me he just walked away the cashier was extremely rude and he was extremely rude I will not shop in that Nordstrom rack ever again they both made me feel horrible! they SUCK! Ahh, the Rack. For those of us who love to shop but also cannot fathom spending $150 on a pair of jeans or pair on shoes, it is a godsend. I have found many great deals on brands that are well known and respected here. Just the other day, we were looking for a pair of hiking boots and walked in not sure what to expect since it was a very specific style we were in search of. However, we were able to find 3 different brands of hiking boots for my husband quite easily as the men's shoe department was organized very neatly and generally stayed within the shoe size it was categorized by. I will say there was a couple of shoes left out from previous customers which can be frustrating since it takes up space in the area he was trying to on the shoes, but I would say that's typical of any shoe department. I also like to peruse their home goods section and love that they always have seasonal items available. These products are decently priced for a Nordstrom brand and I don't feel as guilty buying decorative items for our home here. I will say there are a few areas where they fall short (and thus does not get 5 stars) is their Women's accessories department. My weakness is a good purse and they hardly ever have any purse that I'm interested in purchasing which is not something I am used to. I understand their items are generally castoffs from Nordstrom, but I mean they could at least include purses that are in season/style. Like many other Nordtsrom Rack stores, there is no guarantee of the items or brands that you will find on any given day which can be frustrating and a gift at the same time. I will usually find a close dupe or similar item for the original. If that's not the case, I don't hold the store accountable since I know how they operate, but they can also have a low stock of products which then leads to me searching all over the section in hopes that I might find one stashed behind/misplaced. Their checkout line is another area they could improve on. Like many other reviews have stated, they are very slow in their checkout procedure and I'm not entirely sure why that is. Even as things are slowly opening up and they are allowing a limited amount of customers in to shop, they still can't seem to keep up with checkout. Other than those areas, I enjoy visiting this store to find deals and am impressed by their organization and flow of the store. read more

I like that they accept my Nordstrom online returns!!! The convenience is awesome for me!!! I also found some very reasonably priced brand name shoes and clothes there for myself and my kiddos. Just picked up some really great candles a few weeks ago and the kids liked it. There's now a separate returns kiosk in the store by the shoes area. I like that as sometimes I do have many returns and it doesn't inconvenience the buying peeps. All the employees working there are very nice and patient. They are also very good with cordial pleasant greetings and small talks to pass the time. Happy Shopping folks! read more

I love this place!! This happens to be my favorite Nordstrom Rack location, I bypass two others close by my house just to come to this one. I admit I have been on a Nordstrom Rack kick lately but for very good reason *wink*. This store is a bit small but I really like the layout, as soon as you walk in the handbags are right in front of you and the cash registers are off to the right. As you keep walking in you will see that the sunglasses are located right by the registers as is the perfume, to your left is the Men's Section and so on. Along the whole back wall that almost wraps around the store are the shoes. I always find a good deal here even if I'm not looking for one and in my opinion they seem to be the only location that carries a good amount of Kate Spade handbags and they are often $100 or less depending on the style and material. They have carry a large amount of TOMS which is right up my alley since I've recently become obsessed with those shoes, I always find a good deal on those as well. Their eyewear selection is also nice, I have no problem finding a good pair of designer glasses here for a reasonable price. I just love the variety here and that I always find what I'm looking for and even find things when I'm just browsing. I do however have one complaint and it would be the women's clothing, I don't feel as though they have variety when it comes to jeans and you have to really look through the racks if you're looking for something in particular. The service here is wonderful, the employees here seem to really enjoy their jobs and will go above and beyond for the customers. Help is easy to find if you're looking for something and I normally see 2-3 people on the sales floor available to help with questions and even assist with ringing up customers when the line gets out of control. By far this NR is the worst I've ever been in. It's in comparison to Ross on a bad day and it use to be so elevated at least the ones I've gone to. First time coming to this one and last. I have found great deals here on occasion, but it's a smaller store and the women's clothing selection is underwhelming. Most items are made for the Rack (not Nordstrom) and quality and price is what you would expect; inexpensive average quality. They do shine in two areas IMO- lingerie (lots of bras for those of us with a small band size and large cup size!) & the jewelry. High quality costume jewelry, it's my go to place for earrings. There is always a long line to check out & they seem thinly staffed in general. Not bad, but I prefer the Palo Alto store. read more

NORDSTROM CREDIT - BUYER BEWARE! This review is not actually about the pariticular Nordstrom store, but the credit policy. A year or two ago, they drastically lowered my limit due to a long period of inactivity (after paying off a large bill.) I was surprised a company that prides themselves SO MUCH on customre service just injured my credit score when I had paid my debts to them with interest. I should have closed the card then because I was so mad, but I knew it would hurt my credit. So now they are closing it anyhow due to inactivity. I tried to use it on line today to avoid this, but as I don't have my physical card, they want me to go to the mall two days before Christmas to buy something. (I only have until Dec 31 to buy something on their 24% credit card. CAVEAT EMPTOR I will check back in to note how much this dropped my credit score read more

I came here during my lunch for a return. The store seemed to be having a sale and was pretty messy. There was a long line in front, but I appreciated that they had a separate line for returns. I was in and out within 5 minutes and the women helping me was helpful and friendly. read more
