AMAZING SERVICE AND HELP FROM CARLA! My boyfriend and I were suit shopping and Carla provided amazing help with finding a tie and coordinating the look. She was so friendly and provided continuous support for us.

Note from Macys Roseville Galleria July2025

It's been a while since I've gone into this physical location to shop or make returns, but if my recent experience is any indication, then this Macys location is amazing. I ordered some items online and tucked inside with my items was a note "from" the Store Manager Lawrence Pineda (see pic). It was a nice gesture, and something I'd never received in all my years of ordering online from Macys. Classy move, Macys Roseville Galleria!

Convenient Online Shopping This was my first time doing Black Friday online with Macy's and I was pleased with the experience. My purchases qualified for Free Shipping but I opted to pick up my items at my closest Macy's (my work is just on the next block from the Westfield Galleria). Plus I want to be sure that my items are secured. There has been a rash of porch pirates reported last year in our area and it may be happening again this year. Pick up was on the 2nd Floor, at the "At Your Service Center" in the Young Men's Department near the entrance from the parking lot. There are designated parking spots for curbside pickup so it was very convenient. The employees were helpful and friendly. I was in and out quickly. With all the mass smash-and-grab robberies happening I'm even terrified to be out there in malls... California has had a series of these orchestrated dramatic robberies especially at high end stores like the one at a Louis Vuitton store in San Francisco's Union Square. It also happened at Nordstroms in Walnut Creek (Bay Area) and SoCal, and a jewelry store in Hayward. Anyway, I digress... I'm just glad I was able to do some convenient online Black Friday shopping at Macy's. I also like to shop at their Last Act clearance section. It's not often I find something my style but occasionally I would find some good deals. For clothes shopping I do like to shop in person as I would like to try the clothes first for size before purchasing. Review #0399 updated

The bedding section is all decked out for Christmas

Let's see....where do I begin? This is a big store with lots of different departments. The first floor has the juniors section (located on the left hand side of the store), a dress department, makeup and beauty, a large purse and fitness section. These sections are all geared toward women and has lots of brands to choose from like Roxy, O Neil, Adidas, Northface to name a few. Upstairs is the men's department, lingerie and pajamas for women and a large home section too with bedding and kitchen appliances and accessories. What I love about this store is the Macy's star rewards card which is absolutely free and you get so many discounts on items plus star reward money too (highly recommend). Customer service is amazing as well. My one gripe? The bedding section got rid of Laura Ashley bedding which was my favorite and replaced it with more generic brand bedding but they still have Chapter Club bedding for kids, a new Lacoste bedding section, and Ralph Lauren bedding too. I love coming here to buy bed sheets and pillow cases which always seem to be on sale and an occasional clothing item too. Store is always clean and well organized. This is a nice place to shop at for sure.

It's like all the employees avoid the cash registers at all costs and walk away when they see you'll call them over

Love the store but it lacks good customer service. When I asked for a gift box, the sales person…read moreawkwardly said "ok". After 5 minutes or so of her trying to assemble the box, she asked if I wanted the clothing I purchased into it. I said "Yes, it's a gift". As she started to put the contents into the box, I asked her if she cut the price portion of the tag off. She said "oh, did you want me to?" Ahhhh, common sense says that if it's a gift, you should automatically do it or ask the customer? After finally putting the merchandise into the box, she handed me the sloppily put together box and said "Merry Christmas" I said "thank you"? And asked for a loft BAG to put it into (raining outside) as well as the gift receipt, that was not offered. It's not that she was being rude, just clueless. Maybe she was new, who knows...but the other sales lady at the register just stared at her and offered no assistance when she was struggling with the box. Can you say WEIRD? Awkward experience all around. I spent a decent amount of money and also never was asked if I needed help by a salesperson on the floor. I did need help...but I eventually figured out the answer to my question. For being a Saturday afternoon during Christmas time, they were not even busy.

I came here to update my work wardrobe since we're moving to business casual. I had heard from…read morefriends that LOFT has good work pants and blouses, and I was also hoping to catch some good sales. They did have some cute pieces, but a lot of the styles felt outdated or just not my personal taste. What really stood out to me, though, was the customer service. I noticed the sales associate actively offering help to everyone around me, asking if they needed assistance, but she never once approached me even when I was standing right next to other customers. Because of that, I ended up feeling uncomfortable and decided to leave. As I was walking out, she finally asked if I needed help, which felt very odd considering how attentive she was to others. I declined and left. Even if I wasn't shopping alone that day, I still should have received the same level of service as everyone else. The whole interaction just felt off and didn't sit right with me.

Granted lines were long with the post Christmas shopping. However, they didn't have a way of managing it and it ended up with a whole lot of really frustrated customers. I knew what I wanted when I walked into the store. I picked up a pair of pants and walked up to the register. I was third in line. There were two registers going. There was a longer line at the other register; I picked the shorter one. By the time they finished the person at the front of my line, they were probably 10 people behind me and an equal number at the other register. What did the cashier do when it's my turn? She calls for the person in the other line. That person then told me that there was only one line when she got in line. What?! We had all been standing there for at least 20 minutes. If there was only one line, they were 20 people who were never told that by anybody. This is not OK. I know a bunch of us, myself included, walked out of the store. It's no way to treat guests.

The clothes are definitely geared more toward a younger crowd and a little on the pricier side, but my daughter did find a few cute things she liked. Checkout was a bit frustrating. There was only one register open, which was fine since there were just a few people ahead of us and we weren't in a rush. However, a female employee who seemed like a manager got in line behind us and then called another employee to open a register. Another male maybe manager instead of helping the next person in line, he helped the employee who had been behind us. That didn't sit right. Thankfully, when we did get to the register, we were helped by Melissa, and she was absolutely lovely! She had a great attitude, made conversation, and was even helping a newer employee while ringing us up. She definitely turned the experience around.

The style of clothing here is so questionable, as I walked around the store I kept asking myself, "Who would want to wear this & why?" Now it's just overpriced items with not so great quality.
