First, as a city resident, I never would have found this place, if it wasn't promoted in my instagram feed. I was interested because their food looks way more interesting than the standard WNY pizzeria. It's a tiny place in the middle of Cheektowaga that, if you're not looking for them, you'll totally miss it! Me personally? I'll be back again! We got the Pepperoni Playboi (Extra Pepperoni, Chopped Basil, Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Crushed Red Pepper, Seasoning, Mikes Hot Honey, Shaved Parmigiana) and the Blue Velvet (Shaved Ribeye Steak, Gorgonzola, Garlic Butter, Mozzarella, Arugula, Balsamic Drizzle). Both were totally delicious. Sauce has a sweet spice to it, which is unique and fantastic! I don't know that they have kid-friendly pies, as it was our first time here. Menu is a little confusing, as there were instagram foods I was interested in, but I'm guessing they update frequently. Staff was nice and super professional. Dinner was ready right on time. I've been wanting to try Macy's Place for some time now after seeing their beautiful and inventive pizzas on instagram. Finally was able to order a couple pizzas yesterday. We ordered two small ones do we could try more than one. Pepperoni playboi is what a pepperoni pizza should be. "Best pepperoni pizza I've ever eaten." It is not your normal pepperoni pizza. Extra pepperoni, basil, crushed red pepper, Parmesan cheese and a generous drizzle of hot honey. It was amazing. We also ordered a wake and bake pizza which was pepperoni, jalapeños, tater tots, waffle fries. Also a very good pizza. Crust has good flavor and crunch, red sauce is savory and well seasoned. It's been quite a while since I've come to Macy's for a pizza and felt it was time to give them another shot. All-in-all, it was a better experience than last time, but there is still a couple things they could, and should, improve on. I called in my pickup order on a Saturday around 4:45pm. The phone was answered but I was placed on a brief hold. After maybe 20 seconds, a woman answered and took my order and told me to give them around 35 minutes or so. I arrived about 40 minutes later and was lucky enough to nab a parking spot in their small private lot. This is one of the items I wish could be improved as it's a bit of a nightmare getting in/out of there. I walked up to the door and there was a line that formed outside. Part of me was glad to see they were busy but the other part of me was disappointed that even over a year later, they still cannot handle a large volume of customers. Their front counter had multiple people coming in and out and the phones were ringing and customers were standing, waiting to be called on. It also sounded like their online ordering system had a glitch as a guy came out and had to wait for his order to be made as the staff never saw it, but kudos to Macy's for making all his food for free for his trouble. After almost 10 minutes standing in line, I was called on and I told a gentleman my name and what I ordered. He took a minute or two to go back and grab my pizza. He would've sent me on my way without paying if I hadn't said something. A woman then took over the cash register and rang me up and I was on my way. It's definitely not that the staff aren't busy - you can see them all working in the back and they are bustling with plenty of loud, bass-y music going - but they really need to coordinate roles better. I saw two different people working the cash register and then there was no one and they were all in the back working on orders, etc. For this Saturday night dinner, I ordered a small (12", eight slice) Meatlovers pizza and added Burrata cheese. Their meat lovers has pepperoni, sausage, ham, meatballs, and bacon on top with mozzarella cheese and their red sauce. I have to admit, the pizza was excellent! The meats on top were cooked to perfection and the dough underneath was cooked through all the way, so it wasn't "soggy" towards the center of the pie, which has happened to nearly all of the meat lover pizzas I've ordered in Buffalo. There was plenty of meats on every slice and lots of red sauce. The Burrata cheese really elevated this pie, adding an awesome layer of creaminess with the mozzarella cheese and balancing out the salt from all the meats. When I order a pizza from here again, I'm adding Burrata cheese to it. :) The dough is more on the thin-side, definitely not the traditional Buffalo-style. The crust was lacking though as it was practically non-existent, but the little bit that was there was fine. At first glance, the pizza looked small - it seems most places I order from have their small pizzas coming in at 13" - but I was pleasantly surprised at how filling it was! I managed to eat the whole pie without feeling the "meat sweats" or like I needed to drink a gallon of water. I thought that the price of the pizza was decent, definitely not the cheapest pizza shop I've been to. I'm glad I came back to Macy's and had a little better experience. They need to figure out how to staff on the weekends and coordinate roles better though. It looked like there was a lot of miscommunication happening in the back, which was a huge factor for me not coming back here for so long. At least this night my order was ready when I arrived and I didn't have to wait extra for them to rush and make it. I decided to give Macy's another try after about 4 years and I ordered 10 honey mustard chicken wings all flats and she said they would be done in 15 to 20 minutes and after about maybe 10 minutes the young lady brought them out to the car to me and when I got home I was very disappointed the chicken wings were way overcooked they were hard and dry and I believe that they were cooked earlier in the day and then recooked and I believe at a price of $16.85 they should have been great it will be another long 5 years before I order anything else from this restaurant also there was no carrots there was no celery, you did get a Ken's blue cheese I am just so disappointed, so out of fairness I could not rate them any higher than the first rating that I gave them and if there was a rating for no stars I would have chosen that read more

Heard so much about this place - thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't sure whether or not they had slices available until I went in. Maybe it would behoove them to put a sign in the window stating that they have slices. The lunch special is $6.50 for two slices and a can of soda. The service was pleasant but not overly friendly. Everything about it was unassuming. There was no place to eat inside which is fine. The pizza - chewy and airy crust, but the kind of slice that's not well done on the bottom. Cup and char pepperoni was appropriately cooked. The sauce is on the sweet side. The pizza is excellent hot, but doesn't hold up as well as it cools down - and I don't think would be a good candidate for cold pizza for breakfast. I've been wanting to try Macy's for the longest because I've heard nothing but good things about them. I finally had them and I can honestly say they are officially one of my favorite pizza places in Buffalo! First, they have soooo many options when it comes to pizza and wings. None of that we only have 2 topping pizzas and you have to pay $2 each for anything else you want. Their gourmet pizza selection is phenomenal. Their wing selection though? OMG SOOOOOO MANY FLAVORS. And they all sound so good. For pizza we ordered a large pepperoni and cheese pizza and added yellow peppers and onions. We also ordered the veggie pizza and added banana peppers. Both pizzas were really good, hot and fresh, and left us wanting more. For the wings we ordered hot honey mustard and garlic parm. The wings were nice and crispy. The hot honey mustard was super saucy. May be a little too spicy if you don't like heat, but they are so good. One of my friends actually fought through the heat because she loved it so much. The garlic parm was different from any other garlic parm I tried. They were crispy wings with garlic and spices on the outside with shredded parmesan cheese melted on them. I highly recommend trying these. We picked our order up so I'm unfamiliar with their delivery prices and how you receive their product. But for pick-up they were on time. For 2 large pizzas and 40 wings our total was about $80 after tax. Which rounded out to be about $13 a piece for 6 of us. We all ate good and still had left overs so I think the price was reasonable. I'm really sad to write this review. This unfortunately isn't a one and done incident, which led me to write this two-star review. I used to be a loyal Macy's customer, so were my parents, and I would tell everyone about Macy's and their awesome, and innovative food. That will not be the case anymore. On a Saturday, my parents ordered a large pesto burrata pizza and an order of 20 wings - drunken money bourbon and blue and lemon pepper. Wings were ordered extra crispy. They were told over the phone, when they placed their order, that it would be 40 minutes. The last time my mom's boyfriend went to get the order, it took longer than the time they had said, so he left at 50 minutes, 10 minutes more than when the order should have been complete. He arrived, paid for it, was told it wasn't ready and to wait in his car and it would be brought out to him. About 20 minutes later, still no pizza. He then went back in and was finally given the pizza and the employee didn't get that he was waiting for a substantial time. When he got home, which is about 5 minutes away, the pizza and wings were cold. How long were they sitting there, and the employees did nothing? If it was going to take that long to get the order ready, than tell your customers the correct time, but don't tell them some pie in the sky time and make them wait an additional half hour for their order. In a time when small businesses need all the help they can get, it is sad that this business doesn't value customer service. From now on, we will be taking our business elsewhere to restaurants that need the support and appreciate their customer base. We gave Macy's a bunch of opportunities, and this time was the last straw. They got the second star for the flavor of the food, which was good. Unfortunately, being cold, wasn't amazing. I usually don't write a review, but the customer service is not good! Hopefully my review will provide a change to the policies and procedures of this take out spot. I visited on 3/1 around 3pm... during a not so busy period. Anyway, I asked to see a menu. However, I was told to go to the website instead. Usually this isn't a problem, but the Wi-Fi/ my phone service was horrible at this location and I couldn't view the menu. I expressed that I was unable to view the menu and was unable to order food. Your staff wasn't bothered by this inconvenience... the one that I told (I didn't get his name) just continued to wipe down the counter while completely disrespecting me. Frustrated, I told him I would just go somewhere else to eat. I understand not having menu's because of germs and saving money. Possible consider having a menu board for customers that cannot see the online menu. read more

I've heard the place is amazing, all I can say is holy crap!!!! I got the veggie pizza (no broccoli, + mushrooms) and Nashville hot wings. WOWZA !!!! I almost ordered ex cheese cuz I'm a total cheese junkie, but I'm glad I didn't it's smothered!! This is quite possible my new all time fav!! The crust is perfectly doughy with a crispy bottom. Macy's Place is a small pizzeria located in Cheektowaga, NY. It has recently become Instagram famous with its wide pizza topping choices as well as very recent collaboration with Lloyd's. The Macy's x Lloyd's collaboration was the first time I tried Macy's and I was left quite disappointed. For the special, Macy's offered Lloyd's pork nacho pizza, logs rolled in Rocket Sauce and cojita cheese, and chicken wings rolled in Rocket sauce and cojita cheese. I'm a huge fan of Lloyd's so of course I had to taste this. When we arrived at Macy's, our order was not ready because our order was allocated to the wrong date. Apparently this was a common issue since the system was open for all Sunday's. The manager said he would make it in 20 minutes. It took 40 minutes, which it a stretch but also reasonable since they were fully booked due to the special. Note, I'm not taking any stars off for this issue. Due to the special, the pizzeria was extremely overwhelmed and I believe the quality was reduced for this reason. Specifically, our pizza and pizza logs were not fully cooked. The crust of the pizza and outside/inside of the logs were still very doughy. Additionally, the chicken wings and logs were smothered in Rocket sauce, which was abnormally hot (I eat at Lloyd's once a week and this is not typical Rocket sauce). It was so hot that you could not taste anything else. You could also taste that the accompanying white sauce (normally served with the spring rolls at Lloyd's) was not made properly. Finally, Macy's could not handle such a large volume of orders. This was a very poor representation of Lloyd's well known items. This was a very disappointing $70 special and leaves me questioning how their other Instagram specials taste. Overall, I would rate Macy's 2.5 stars out of 5 (I gave 3 since Yelp doesn't have 1/2 stars) due to the low quality preparation. I do recognize that this was an out of the ordinary time and I do believe I should reevaluate the pizza on a normal day. I cannot suggest ordering this collaboration if it is run again. Sorry, Buffalo. This looks better on Instagram than it taste in real life. I'd call this a "click bate." read more

I wish I could rate this place separately for their wings and their pizza. The pizza was just ok - good sauce, but too heavy on the oregano - it infiltrated all the tastes - and the cheese did not seem to be of high quality, as it did not have a good stretch to it or flavor..... but the wings!! Crispy, huge wings with a variety of creative sauces; they were delicious. They cut a hole in the top of the wings to-go container to ensure they stay crispy on the way home, so be aware of that for transport purposes. Head here for wings but there are much better buffalo style pizza places. If you want something different, check out their "Instagram" pizza list on their website menu, those might be worth a try and perhaps better than the "regular" cheese and pepperoni. read more

"One bite, everybody knows the rules"... If you've been on social media at all in the past year, you've probably seen photos of insane, specialty pizzas with ridiculous ingredients that only a mad man or an absolute genius would think about putting on a pie. I'm talking pizzas loaded with jalapeños, coleslaw, or pepperoni pizza with chicken fingers stuffed in between the crust. This is @macysplacepizzeria and they're revolutionizing the Buffalo pizza scene one pie at a time! The people of Buffalo have been raving about this place, so it was my duty to place my first order sooner than later. After scouring the menu, we settled on the Large Steak Frites and a double order of Honey Sriracha and Italian Parm wings. The pizza was excellently balanced and cooked perfectly. I honestly thought some of the flavors would be overpowering, but the garlic and gorgonzola were subtle and complimented the rest of the ingredients well. The wings were a good size and crispy, just the way we like. The sauces were also rich and savory and had us salivating on the car ride home. I did order the wings to be char-grilled and unfortunately they were not, but with pizza names like Maui Wowie and Sativa Sunrise it's easy to see how one of the cooks could forget. This was my first time trying Macy's after salivating to their Instagram photos for the last year +. Placed our order online, and then waited an additional 30 minutes in the parking lot (they were very busy) but the wait was not a big deal at all and there is enough parking in front. We ordered a small chicken & waffles pizza which was amazing. The crust was thick enough to hold the toppings, the waffles and chicken were crunchy and there was an amazing maple glaze drizzled on top. The pizza logs were also very good. TERRIBLE FOOD! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Ordered 4 dinner boxes and the pizza looked like 7/11 pizza that had been sitting out for DAYS! Fries were undercooked! How did I not know about this magical gem. Masked as just another pizza spot, this hole in the wall location is essentially a experimental pizza facility. Making pizzas like the garbage plate, two tone pepperoni, and everything but the bagel pizza, come through for a truly unique pizza. Parking is a bit limited and the location is small, but this place is so so worth the trip. It's real close to Walden, so make it a treat before a movie. We walked in and I didnt see some of the custom creations I saw on Instagram. Yes they have an insta and you should follow for food porn. I asked the cashier, and he showed me their secret menu. Within seconds of me asking, the guy I imagine was running the kitchen came out and looked more excited then I was. I asked about the buratta drip and the everything but the bagel pizza. I moved away from buffalo like 6 years ago and since then this place has caught my eye because of their instagram. I'm back in town for a couple weeks and I had to give them a shot. I ordered a Burrata and Chicken Finger Pizza - not the flashiest of their instagram creations, but something I felt was a safe choice and still unique. It was solid all around, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The five stars are anchored in their instagram account, I've never seen a pizza place get as creative and push the boundaries like Macy's. I love how they represent Buffalo's love of pizza, they're an inspiration, kudos to the owner or chef or whoever is coming up with these ideas. Y'all Macy's Place never leaves me disappointed. Today was the last of classes for the semester and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing home a Macy's pizza for myself and my roommate. I've loved Macy's Place since my first slice, but there are things that I think could be improved upon. First, we have the pizza. There's no improving upon perfection. This time 'round I ordered a Large La La Land. This pizza is topped with burrata cheese, chicken fingers, & waffle cut fries. You can choose between four different bases, and you can choose up to two different sauces for the chicken tendies to be tossed in. I ended up going with their garlic butter base, plain and honey sriracha for the tendies flavors. I don't know how Nick came up with this pizza, but he's a genius, an innovator, a wizard. First bite sealed the deal. It's a DENSE pizza and there are only two of us, but we managed to put down three slices each (I'm proud of us). The honey sriracha was the move for this pizza. All of the fried, cheesy, garlicy goodness needed a bit of sweet heat to help balance and round out the flavor profile. I'm not entirely sure how to describe the crust: it's more of an experience than a description. Definitely not traditional Buffalo pizza crust but it's not at all like the crusts back home in Vermont. If you're looking for a milder version of Macy's, I highly recommend the 4 Cheese, especially if you're into stinky cheeses. I ordered my pizza online and was given a pick-up time in the confirmation email. This isn't my first time ordering online, but I do have a hard time using their menu. They might not have a ton of control over the layout of the online menu but having a search bar would be really helpful. I, very personally, would combine the entries they have for the large/small sizes into the same entry and add an option for people to choose which size they want. This would help cut down on the number of items under each of their menu categories. However, this is only a small thing, and they might have their own reasons for having it structured this way. As others have mentioned, parking is a bit of a logistical nightmare. I completely understand that the folks at Macy's Place have little control over the size of their lot, but I ended up having to drive around the block a couple of times before I finally parked across the street and walked over. I did get there a few minutes before the time stated in the email and was not surprised that it wasn't ready because they were SUPER BUSY. I love it when local businesses are shown an outpouring of love from the community, but the combination of limited parking and a large volume of orders, foot traffic, and customers did result in a very slight delay. This is not, by any means, a malicious attack on Macy's Place. They're a great business and they are limited by the physical space they are in, but it would be nice to see them expand to better accommodate the absolute outpouring of love that I witnessed tonight. Overall, I'm a huge fan of Macy's Place. Please don't let their small parking lot and volume of orders stop you from showing them some love and getting a great pizza. They're doing so really great--I would even venture of say cutting-edge--stuff with their pizzas, sandwiches, and other items. Macy's Place adds to Buffalo's food scene in so many ways. Their pizza is so different from a lot of the other pizza places, and they've really carved out their own unique spot here in the All America City. read more

It has taken me quite a while to get up the nerve to write a definite review for Macy's Place, because I really wish I could like this establishment more than I do... the creativity behind the myriad options for the Instagram Pizzas is truly amazing. Some I've tried, some I wouldn't go near with a ten foot pole, but they have something for everybody. My usual go to IG pies are the 24K Gold (Mac and cheese with chicken fingers), Sativa Sunrise (bbq fingers, curly fries, jalapeño,honey and bbq drizzle), and Thotty Tot (Queso base, bacon tater tots jalapeño and ranch drizzle). The variety of different sauces that are available for wings, fingers and even to toss in for "saucy" pizza logs continues to grow, and all that I have tried have tasted amazing. The lone problem with the establishment is that the consistency of the product is very inconsistent... for example: one day the wings will be perfectly cooked, the next time they could be a bit over or undercooked... when ordering online there are actual options to specify how well done you want the wings, but this doesn't seem to matter. Also, the quality of the pizza is a bit hit or miss as well when it's done right, there isn't much better Buffalo Style pizza around, and the flavor combination for the IG pies are well balanced, but if done wrong (usual tendency is for burnt rather than undercooked, or balance of ingredients is off) it really makes you question why or if you still love this place. In summary, the innovative menu and options combined with the inconsistent quality leads this place to be a real Jekyll and Hyde experience... can go between 1-5 stars each visit, but overall it sits in the middle. read more

I was on FB and the Macy's Monday special always came across my timeline, not sure why, but I decided to get it one day. The customer service was good, the amount of time to prepare was good but the food didn't do it for me. I asked for extra crispy wings and they were soggy, I asked for mild wings and the sauce was hot (I don't even eat hot sauce and to look at these wings you could tell that they were more than just mild. The pizza sauce tasted more like spaghetti sauce to me and the other people who tried it just didn't like it at all. So it was a Monday special that went to waste, the pics look great tho, just isn't the pizza place for me. read more

Where has this pizza place been all my life? Well I guess it's been here for awhile now, but I was first introduced to it when I went to the pizza cup event at Resurgence brewery last week. We had ordered two large pizzas, the Green Goddess and then a cheese and pepperoni that had boneless wings on the outside crust. I ordered online early in the day to have the order ready at 4:45. They called at 4:35, after my husband had already left to pick it up, to say they were out of spinach so we couldn't have the Green Goddess. It was frustrating since clearly my husband was going to have to wait longer once he was there and also I had to choose another pizza really quickly and without his input. It's okay they were out of it, I just wish they'd called earlier so we could have discussed and chosen one with more time. We got the Joe Dirt instead, and that one was really good. However, while the pizza part of the other was good, the chicken on it was super burned. We got two different sauces, and we couldn't even figure out which ones we were eating because all we could taste was char. I probably will order from here again if a really unique pizza sounds good to us, but it was overall a frustrating experience this time. read more

We decided to pick up a half pepperoni, half mushroom pizza after hearing about this place on the radio. The pizza itself was very good. The sauce may have been a little too sweet for my taste but it had a lot of cheese and great pepperoni. The dough had a good flavor but I did end up reheating it to cook it through a bit more. I like my crust a little more done. I'd definitely get their pizza again if I was in the area. read more

Had been meaning to make my way over to Macy's Place for quite some time now to check out the hype. Needless to say when one of my local favorites (Lloyd Taco Factory) announced they'd be doing a collaboration, it was a no brainer. I ordered the Pork Tricked Out Nacho Pizza and a single order of the Rocket Wings. First of all the pizza....WOAH. I'll be honest I was hesitant that the combination wouldn't work on a pizza but I was surprised to see how well they went together. The pizza itself for having so much topping on it wasn't extra soggy or floppy so that was a big plus. The crust was exceptionally delicious - perfect crisp with nice fluff inside and more than just a doughy bread flavor to it. I was definitely impressed with this pizza. The Rocket Wings were solid as well but definitely came in 2nd to the pizza. I would've liked more of a crisp on them but they were still decently cooked and the rocket sauce really brought some killer flavor to the wings. Kudos to the team at Macy's Olace as well for handling a crazy rush of orders. All in all I was pretty happy with my first trip to Macy's Place and really hoping they do another collab with Lloyd at some point. I'll definitely be back to try some more off their standard menu too and see what else they have to offer. read more

I'm kind of done talking this place up. I've gotten there and they've forgotten about me/others and I've gotten cold food on numerous occasions despite me going in several times to remind them I'm in the parking lot bc they're very busy. I thought their food is worth it but I would like to actually be able to have hot food. Today the pizzeria is open until 9 PM. I tried to place an order at 7:10/15 and they are not accepting orders both from the phone and online. Had another amazing pizza from here. This time we tried the cheeseburger pizza and it looked exactly like the pictures and tasted as amazing as it looked, just like eating a loaded burger. I love their creative options and will continue to try different items each time. Even if it's a 30 minute drive for take-out, it's more than worth it in the taste! read more

Finally tried this place after seeing all the hype on various social media outlets about the collaborations they do. My son picked me up a chicken tendies stuffed hot pepper sub, he even threw in some tots. I was super excited! Perfect Tuesday night, or was it? Sadly, this Tuesday was average at best. This sub concoction looked delicious, the description sounded fantastic but the taste was just meh. It left me knowing I could make this better myself at home. The stuffed hot peppers were basically raw. I had to finish them in the oven. The fingers were big, the garlic bread roll the best part. Now the tots....the tots were a disappointment, they were not crisp at all! Turned into a big pile of shredded hashbrowns trying to get them apart to transfer to the oven to try and get some crisp on them. Ugh all those insta posts really are just for show. Maybe if you're lucky enough to know someone to get the insta treatment you'll get what they advertise. I'll stick to my local haunts for my specialty subs and pizza. Not worth an hour wait. So we gave this place another go. This time we wanted to give more choices a try. I'm so glad we did!!! The Sativa Sunrise was sooo good! Sweet, savory, crunchy, heat! It had everything! The garbage plate pizza?!?!? Omg! Was this pizza thick!! Soooo good! One piece is a meal in itself! Probably my favorite aside from the Sativa sunrise. Not only was it a garbage plate, but that layer of mozzarella at the bottom, was just a perfect touch! I'm drooling, thinking about it. read more
