This is about the sales department. I was buying the same style of different color, but I got an email saying she was obsessed with my cart. For me it was kind of insult because I said to one sales agent I talked a day before that I still want another color. Now I don't see that item flash on the internet. The service at Macy's has always been top notch, selections are amazing and during clearance, the value can't be beat. I am old school, yet loving the new trend of online ordering. But I must say we can't let everything blow with the wind. Before Macy's there was Robinson's May, then May Co and now Macy's. Went to buy cologne, not realizing it was Mother's Day weekend, so the Men's fragrance area was almost unattended for a good reason. I was looking for a specific Dior sale that i seen online and could not find a direct answer to a question I had due to the women's department attracting most of the attention. Multiple employees noticed the issue and immediately led me to someone who would be able to assist. At this visit shoutout out to ZACH, we believed he was working at the other healthy and beauty counter but he crossed and helped us at the Clinique counter. He was very patient and professional. This past weekend, we checked out the Toys R Us section; our son wanted to look at the toys. He spotted a medium sized Squishmallow- a cute turtle (yeah, it's heading into addiction mode now). We joined the rewards program. The clerk was nice. He explained everything to us, so that was good too. I'm glad that Customer Service is not dead, but still alive and kicking at Macy's. Kudos to you Macy's. I'm a longtime Macy's shopper, back to when I was a little girl, maybe about ten or eleven, at the time, in the Bay Area, and my single mom was telling me to check the sales racks (she started me off young, with scoping the deals! And that is why I am a bargain shopper, to this day, I am always looking for the best price, you have to be, with a growing boy, who always needs something!). But these days, we check out the one at Downtown Summerlin. This time, we parked here, to go through the store, into the mall and into The Children's Place to pick up our order for our son. 6-29-21 As of this date, Macy's outlet called Backstage can be found on their third floor with access by elevator. There are items from many departments here such as furniture, houseware, handbags and clothing. Unlike Honolulu's Last Act items, there may be less inventory here but presented better. The racks are not squished together plastered with 70% off tacky signs. Also the merchandise is displayed in their proper size section vs being mixed up. The saleswoman who rang me up said the prices here are good. I asked her is this where local people shop( at Meadows Mall), and she said yes. She placed the white purse I found in a package and put it inside the suitcase as I had requested. She got another Macy's package and tied it to the suitcase's handle so security would know it had been purchased. While we were on the second floor looking perplexed a different sales lady asked, May I Help you ? She directed us to the elevator as the escalator ended here. She could have ignored us but that was nice of her to be of assistance. Friendly, helpful employees are a blessing especially when it was our first time in this store. Why not 5 stars? When we got back to our hotel and I began packing the omiyage we had bought I removed the tags only to find out the warning label was between two other tags saying it contained cancer producing materials. I bought the suitcase on a whim since it was a pretty carry on size piece with four 360 degree wheels. If the warning label was more visible I would have thought twice before making it mine. Regardless, it's cute, functional and did its job protecting its contents as I used it as checked luggage from Vegas to Maui to Honolulu. read more

Macys is one of my favorite (still open) department stores out there. This location unfortunately has completely gone off the rails though. Bad management is evident throughout the entire store from the ridiculous prices to poor placement of merchandise. The employees seemed to be friendly while walking through the store so that is a plus. The "backstage" was almost laughable. The majority of the items had insane "original" prices that were completely made up to make it seem like a deal. The majority of the furniture upstairs had insane prices on them that didn't even make sense. Overall 2/5. Sad to see a store that once was, no longer be. read more

The Macy's at Meadows mall is okay. I typically go to the Macy's at Downtown Summerlin. I usually enter Macy's from the outside parking lot. It's easy to get to within the mall and easy to get to from outside parking. I don't spend longer than 30 minutes within a Macys. I normally pick up Estee Lauder make-up. This time, when I came Thursday evening, a few days before Christmas, my daughter and I were looking for a white-elephant gift. We had looked at a few different areas within Macys, with no help from any of the team members at Macys. Before we left, my daughter had mentioned checking out the 3rd floor, which is where this Macy's location had sales or marked-down items. She had found a Porcelain White Elephant, luckily! We still weren't approached by any sales representatives. On check out, we weren't even greeted with a smile or "hi." I'd say the customer service at this location is relatively poor. I like Macy's stores overall. If you're looking for a good Macy's store, I'd check out the Macy's in Downtown Summerlin, however, if it's a urgent purchase, this store will work. read more

Went in for A Lancôme product and the staff seemed too bothered to acknowledge that I was kindly waiting for help. I got passed off twice because they didn't want ti help me. Finally after the young girl walked over to the ladies that were already being helped came over to me she then lied and told me that the item I needed they were out of. I then asked her if she could call the downtown summerlin store to see if they gave it. She refused & then lied & told me the item was discontinued. After a day of shopping at numerous stores, I had lost my prescription sunglasses. A few days back tracking and checking different stores, feeling so distressed, Macy's was my last hope. The employees at Macy's backstage couldn't have been nicer! By looking and finally directing me to the executive offices, a young girl who was going on her break took the time to call the manager, Samantha, who went to see if they were in the back office. Low and behold she came out with the glasses...with tears I hugged her and I couldn't of been more grateful. This is more than 5-star customer service. Thank you. Out of all the Macy's stores I've gone to this one is the worst. This is so sad because I love Macy's and frequently shop online or in stores. However, every single time I come here I get someone rude or with attitude. I have finally had enough. One of the times I received someone rude was on the second floor, I was there to return an item that was damaged and she made it a huge deal. Even after calling 1-800 who accepted my return she refused to take my item, then went and called two more coworkers who were as unfriendly as her. The 1-800 representative was so shocked that they told me to just keep the item and they would still issue my refund. After several other bad experiences this last one was just too much. First I went to return a blouse where there were THREE representatives chit chatting about scheduling and staff. This is understandable since there were no customers side conversations are bound to happen, what was unacceptable was that when they saw me line up two of them suddenly became busy and neither of them greeted me. I stared at them and Watanee waived me over with attitude like I was dumb or something and again as I took it upon myself to greet her she did not greet me and the other two representatives continued their conversation. Even after explaining to Watanee what I needed done she did not speak to me. All she ever said to me was, "alright 64.98." That's literally it. No further explanation. I got my receipt and left. I went to the perfume section and again a group of about five employees gossiping. Only of them was working and was super kind, the others just kept spying on me and talking amongst themselves. There was one specific lady watching my every move and every time I would look at her she would flinch and look away. This was too much, I really wanted a new perfume but I left empty handed. read more

They reported late payment to credit bureaus and would not consider having it removed. This cost me when I made a real estate purchase with higher interest rate. Escalators boarded off so the whole store has to use the tiny elevator to get to the second floor, a large empty section upstairs. I went to pick up an item I ordered online. When I saw the long line I shopped around the store. I came back to the service desk ten minutes later to see another long line, so I left again to shop around. When I went back 20 minutes later no one was there. After 5 minutes this lady (Rose) came in the doors. It was explained to me that she also delivers on-line orders to the parking lot. I was impressed with Rose and her ability to process things using both registers while remaining friendly and efficient. read more

Seriously, what's wrong with this Macy's store? This is absolutely the worst Macy's ever and I couldn't believe this is Macy's. I went there to get a simple black dress since for my dad's funeral and I could't find any good one at Kohl's and JC Penny"s. I found 2 nice ones and took them to the dressing room. There was no attendant. So I decided to enter to one of the rooms and got horrified. The room was packed with piled up clothes already tried by their customers and looked like a disaster zone(I should've taken the picture of the room) I checked next room and it was same, disaster zone. I ended up checking all the rooms and found out that all the rooms looked like they got hit by the hurricane. Messy piled up clothes everywhere and nobody cleaned up. So I ended up choosing the least messy one. OK, I decided to buy one of the dresses I tried and went to the checkout counter. There were 4 female employees chatting loudly. They looked at me for a second and kept talking, completely ignored me. I decided to give them 20 more seconds to see what they would do next. Yep no greeting or anything. They definitely knew I was there but didn't care about me at all. So I finally opened my mouth and asked them if I was in the wrong place to check out. One of them finally asked me to come around. She had a nerve to ask me if I wanted to Macy's credit card and I said no. She said "why not? you can save a lot of money for signing up now blah blah blah" I just said no thank you nicely but hey, who wanna shop at the department store looks like a disaster zone? Worst experience at a Macy's ever. It's as if they would not even take my money. Okay, I chose a watch that was on a display table, it was to be a gift. There was no one in sight in the jewelry area, so I brought it up to the second floor. The woman at the customer service register refused to allow me to make my purchase. She sent me back down to the jewelry area to make my purchase. I went back down to the third level, where one woman was working. Unfortunately, she was dealing with someone who was buying a watch that needed to be sized. Now, there was myself and another gentleman who wanted to purchase something and be done with it. The woman working on the watch called for assistance. After about five minutes someone came over to ring up my watch. I am just wondering, what if I wanted something from each of the three floors. Would I have to purchase linens in one floor, clothes on another, and jewelry on yet another? Really? Makes no sense. Never shopping here again. read more

So I did, and the lady in the jewelry department gave me a hard time about it even with proof of purchase. She claims they are not allowed to do that. Never found it. Only ONE dressing room on entire ladies floor. And also only two check out clerks at the Holiday season on the entire women's floor. Waited in line at one area where an employee was making purchases. Told to go to another. Drug my stuff across store and waited 15 minute. Told to be "patient" from Brittany. Great customer service. Thank You Macy's for helping me simplify my life. I visited your Meadows store before Christmas, trying to return a facial cream. The cosmetics staff was not helpful at all. She stated I needed the Macy's card and/ or the receipt. I said no problem. Went home, called Macy's customer service-requested a duplicate card, and copy of receipt. I have not had the physical card for years - I do most all of my shopping is online. I went back today with card & receipt in hand. And once again was told they could not return the item...........wait for it.....because I did not have the free gift. (Samples) No I did not get a FREE GIFT. So Macy's you want to know why your cosmetics departments are struggling so much? This is it right here! There are several other options than your department store. And they are much more accommodating for the savy shopper. It did not occur to either of those ladies that I may need to make a purchase while I was there. So included is a picture of the $35 item I was trying to return, and the samples NOT USED. Along with $150 in products bought somewhere else! A manager in the men's department, "Donna" (but maybe Donna Russo per an associate I spoke with) rudely denied me a return for a shirt I tried on once and found was too small, citing that it's not in "resellable condition." In actually there was a small stain on the rear of the collar from a spray tan session I was in earlier that day. But, rather than asking me about where the stain came from, encouraging me to wash it, or recommending a specifc stain remover - guess that's out of the question - she simply scoffed at me and had a very "glad to disappoint you" attitude. All I wanted was to be happy with my purchase and I can't believe how rude this person was. ---------------- Update: A quick rinse in cold water removed the stain. I'll be returning it to a different Macy's now. I don't think they'll give me a hard time. read more
