During our extensive search for a toaster, we decided to visit the nearest JCPenney location to my parents' home. This store is situated in the Meadows Mall and was busier than the one we visited the day before at the Grand Canyon Parkway shopping mall. Although it was well stocked, it felt a little less organized than the other location. I asked one of the associates about the kitchen accessories section, and he was very helpful in directing us there. We quickly found what we were looking for, and fortunately, it was on a 25% sale. As we walked to the register to pay, we made several stops in various sections, including clothing, to check out their sales. Even though we didn't purchase anything else, we were very impressed with the variety of their offerings and their reasonable prices. The best part was finally ending our two-day search for the right toaster. read more

Another successful shopping outing involving $5 merchandise. I managed to find over (27) items for $5 or less for a total of $131.98, resulting in a savings of $585.12. This sale ends next week at all JC Penney's. Unlike other stores all the items here are located on the same floor making it much more shopper friendly This deal applies only to those items with "Pink tags." read more

I scheduled a pet portrait shoot with my favorite little Frenchie, Winthorpe. I love that JCPenny's offers portraits with your pets! Cat was our photographer, and she was excellent. She knew all the tricks to keep Winny looking at the camera and capturing his best angle! I was just doing this over the top shoot to have a little fun and be silly, but the photos came out amazing! I was not expecting this level of quality at JC Penny. These will be on all of my future Christmas cards!! read more

JC Penny's portrait studio at the meadows mall is a joke!! My family had a appt for 1:45, when we checked in they told us they were behind, come back in 30 minutes, went back was told it would be another 30 minutes, after a hour wait they finally called our name, I told the lady my husband went to the restroom he would be back amy minute, she told me she couldn't wait for him, that she would take another family back and we would have to wait AGAIN!! needless to say we left and we will NEVER go back to that HORRIBLE place STOP OVERBOOKING!!! read more

Horrible store! Horrible customer service! No one ever answers phone, no manager on duty. Wet in today, they had sell 40 percent off if u spent 75.00. I did, young man at counter never took my 40 percent off, then took my $10.00 coupon off. So when he had to reverse my charges, he told me I lost the ten dollars. States it is Penny's policy. So, got my monies back. They can keep the 10.00 and I never shop there again. With such horrible customer service, hopefully, they will go bankrupt and close like so many have. Now, I know why!!!! read more

JCPenny is a department store that offers a wide variety of apparel, toys, jewelry, home décor, and much more! This JCPenny location is inside the Meadows Mall, Las Vegas, off of the 95/Valley View exit. There is plenty of parking available. I had decided to stop by JCPenny to buy a piece of jewelry. JCPenny had some great deals available! Unfortunately, the individual whom I purchased the item for didn't like it, so I ended up returning it to JCPenny. Originally, I had waited in the returns line on the second floor, however, the returns doesn't handle jewelry. The team member had informed me that the return would need to be processed at the jewelry location. It was relatively easy since I still had the receipt and the piece of jewelry still had the tag on it. The team members were super helpful! I'd stop by this JCPenny location again! It was a great experience and the customer service team was awesome! read more

JC Penny sucks. Don't use them for photography. I booked an appointment for my family of 10. I called and spoke to someone to book the appointment because I have multiple military family members who live out of country. The day before our confirmed appointment they cancelled our session because they overbooked. I will never shop or use JC Penny again. They are unprofessional and unreliable. #banjcpenny read more

I went to JC Penney on Grand Canyon in Las Vegas. Love going here because they cater to seasonal shopping. I was disappointed but not surprised. The place is a ghost town when you pull up but it's open. JC Penney has been a staple for households (families) for decades. They have good quality clothing and merchandise that you can depend on, however, their buyers may be stuck in the twilight zone. Not many trendy outfits for teens, young adults and children. I understand that online shopping has taken retail shopping by a storm, but I expected this big physical building to at least be able to compete. read more

I have 2 credit accounts with JCP...had... I have 2 credit accounts with JCP...had them for years. Suddenly, I can't get on the website. I keep getting access denied. After trying several different "guidelines" on the internet to try to fix it, I finally called. The customer service rep was clearly not listening. He kept telling me I had to enter my ID and password and I kept saying "I can't get on the website!" Then he said he would send me a link on my phone and I should use that. I didn't think that would solve the problem (and it didn't) but I asked if I was going to have to use this link every time I wanted to visit their site. He didn't answer. Just just kept saying "try the link". I still can't get to the website. I love JCP and any time I need something, I try there first trying to get away from Amazon but I no longer have that option. JCPENNEY DELETED MY REVIEW ON GOOGLE. I LEFT THIS REVIEW FOUR MONTHS AGO AND DID NOT REALIZE. I WILL NOT BE SILENCED ABOUT MY RACIST EXPERIENCE. Pasted below is the story from my files. Please read if you are worried about the staff here. Ofelia Zambrano is antisemitic. My bubbie and I have been shopping at this location ever since I was a little girl, but not anymore. My bubbie and I came on a not so busy day and saw that the customer service line was empty. We waited for 5 minutes before giving up until we saw Ofelia walk back to a register. My grandma asked if she would be able to help us and she said nothing but gestured us to the front. We only had eight things to scan but it took forever. My bubbie always wears a silver mezuzah and Star of David necklace that *her* bubbie had given to her. I noticed Ms.Ofelia eyeing it and thought nothing of it UNTIL she started asking us questions about how wealthy we were and if we knew a certain bagel shop she liked to go to. My bubbie was visibly concerned at her line of unnecessary questioning. We are not wealthy. We did not know the bagel shop. It was clear why she was asking such things. I immediately shut her down and asked if we could have our things back and ring them up elsewhere but she told me there was no function on her register to go back. I worked at JCPenney for a year before I began college. I *KNOW* for a fact you can go back and void a transaction that hadn't been processed. She refused to call a manager for me (most likely to save her butt) so I asked for her full name so I could call later and she said told me her name, how to spell it, and left the register unattended again but this time there were people waiting behind us. As I was leaving the mall, I had to go through the JCPenney again, and it just so happened that Ms.Ofelia was walking towards her car that she parked in the curbside pickup spot! I was very very very upset at that point and went to go just ask her if I was rude to her or if she just didn't like Jewish people (I asked this part because of the stereotypes she had brought up earlier). She looked at me, said nothing, and got in her car. Hate is a horrible thing. I'm uncomfortable shopping at any JCPenney now. Just an all around horrible experience. This all happened a few months ago but I still cannot bring myself to step foot in that JCP now. read more

Prices marked on items are inaccurate can NO ONE can fix the problem. Customer service is nonexistent. No wonder this company is failing.

I went into the Meadows Mall to do a bit of shopping, and to return an item that didn't fit. As I was looking for the return department, a professional looking gentleman asked me if he could help me with anything. I couldn't believe that he was just walking around helping everyone to have a better shopping experience. He walked me over to the department where I did my return with a very kind and thoughtful cashier. Everything was so professional and made me feel like I was in a higher end store. Good for you JCPenney when customer service is lacking in so many areas. I will return, GREAT customer experience. Thank you. read more

Taking my mom and auntie shopping in Las Vegas twice a year has become a family tradition which includes a stop at JC Penney. This JC Penney is located at Meadows Mall, close to Downtown LV. We used to have a JC Penney at Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu, but it closed many years ago. I remember my Auntie Alice taking us to lunch in the cafe there... many happy memories... So, when we are in Las Vegas, mom and Auntie Lily like to look at different styles and have gotten good bargains for practical attire... like a black tshirt... because black colored clothing eventually fades after several washings... During this trip, I found a simple black t-shirt by Liz Claiborne in the Clearance section. Originally $16, it was marked down 65 percent at $5.59. With the 50 percent Clearance, the total was less than $3 after taxes! Whoa! You never know what you'll find... just take a look and you might be lucky! We'll be back! read more

This is probably my 2nd visited location; I used to come here to check out the Adidas inventory (sometimes they had different stuff). This store became a more-visited store, because of the Sephora addition; so you can say my interest was revived. There are lots of Sephora stores on the Strip (Forum, Venetian, Miracle Mile. and further up, at Town Square), but this is the only one on this side of town. Not counting the Strip, this would be the closest location to my home. Whenever we're in the mall, we stop by here, because of Sephora; located on the lower level, near the jewelry counter. I love Sephora- the brands, the perks of being a Beauty Insider member, the samples, trying out the different products, demos by the employees, etc. It's worth checking out the Clearance section (the womens clothing is around the corner from Sephora) but I haven't found anything recently- and sometimes it is a mess. There are two levels to this store. The lower level has jewelry, Sephora, womens and mens clothing, and handbags. Upstairs is the home section (linens, kitchen appliances) and children's clothing. If you're in the area, and need something basic from Sephora (it's a smaller store), definitely check this store out. read more

If you look at my yelp history, you will see that I don't often post negative reviews. I like to keep things positive in Yelpland. And honestly, I probably shouldn't even be posting while this upset. Here's the story... my sister found a dress on the half price rack. It was a 2 piece set and was supposed to have a jacket with it. She took it to the cashier...oh wait... I didn't tell you this... No cashier upstairs and when we got downstairs, no cashier. There is really only 1 place to pay and no one there. We asked, who we later found out was a manager, where the cashier was. She didn't care that there wasn't one. She came behind the counter, grabbed stuff, and left. On to the meat and bones... my sister takes this lovely dress, without its 2nd piece, to the register. The sweet cashier (who finally showed up) found the price and made sure it was 50% off, as the tag says. My sister reminds her that half the outfit is missing and she wants to give her $20 or so off. Associate LaDonna calls over manager Nancy. Not only will Nancy not take anything off, she now tells my sister the new price... which is more than the original sale price. My sister is disappointed and says, "It's not worth it to pay that much for that." Meaning, half the damn outfit is missing so why pay that much?!? On top of it, she says something about it now being MORE than when the associate rang it up the 1st time. At this point, I'm milling about. Nancy... a MANAGER... walks away and right next to where I am standing, starts talking about my sister. I then walked back to LaDonna asked for the name of the manager again. My plan was to call and speak to a store manager but when I told my sister what happened, she got super upset. She did confront Nancy, who attempted to say she wasn't talking about her. However, her friend did not back her up. In fact, she looked pretty complicit. If this is who they employ as management, maybe they should rethink their decisions. I understand being upset about my sister's reaction but take it to a break room or home or to your therapist. Don't leave it on the floor for customers and the people you manage to witness. It's not a pretty look. read more

Horrible experience with this store. Jewlery rep had me get a gift card to help me purchase an engagement ring online because they didn't have it in stock. She tried 10 times and was unable to purchase it then told me I couldn't get my money back because once it's on a gift card there's no returns. So I decided to buy online myself. Took me a good hour. Then I get an email today stating that they don't actually have my ring in stock and I will be getting a check in the mail. To make things worse I would have to call another company on my own to get my money back from the protection plan I bought through JC Penny on the ring. Now I'm stuck with nothing, they still have the same exaxt ring being sold online and I no longer can get the black friday discount that I have been waiting for, for 2 months. So unbelievably unprofessional from a store that has been open for too long. read more

Customer /Consumer review Great place and special for those without Insurance. See Maggie she will help you rock your new specks! I've been purchasing my glasses here for several yrs now and Maggie is absolutely a delightful helpful and listens to what her customers want. My husband has also gotten a few pairs from her as well. Yesterday I met my friend that I referred to this location so she could take advantage of the 2 pairs for $99. Advertised special. Her prescription is similar to mine. Progressive prescription no lines. My husband and I use computers, tablet and phones all day everyday , night driving as does most people in today's society. Unfortunately Maggie wasn't working we got stuck w Karen. She was pushing unnecessary upgraded lenses even when we told her we where looking to take advantage of the adv. Special ! She has also done this to us before and refused to push my insurance through because it takes work... instead giving me documents to make my own claims. I have current issue with lens sticking above my frame she told me yesterday that my guess designer frames was the culprit and they were known for having an issue ... Hmmm I own 5 pair of same designer no issues until now. Suggestion if your going in for the deal and want someone who is dedicated to helping you the customer see Maggie! Don't let Karen quote /charge you 1200. For $99. Advertise deal ! Suggestion Don't buy upgrades unless you have previously experienced the difference. In my husband's case the $700. Upgrade doesn't work at all they sit in desk drawer while he wears his standard no line progressive ( multi ). I have always got the deals never paid more then $159.00 for 2 complete prs 1 sunglasses, 1 reg. no insurance needed!! This goes for all eye glass stores/ location Know their advertisement details don't get ripped off. When complaint was made about my experience of Karen's unprofessionalism. She then took that information and shared it with customers. Research lenes types and review of actual benefits REMEMBER in some cases more is NOT better. read more

Located at Meadows Mall. Depending on the time of day, this Mall can get pretty crowded. Plan accordingly for parking. I love JCP! Great place to shop for work clothes. They always have great sales and tons of coupons to use. Today I went in right when they opened. The store was in perfect order and I received excellent customer service today. I typically don't write reviews for "poor customer service" since that's such a boomer Karen thing to do, but here I go! I ordered a great deal of custom blinds from the store and it's been a month. The bill is here but the blinds are not! I have been trying to get in touch with someone to inquire about the status of my order (as I really wanted window coverings up well BEFORE I moved in) and it's taking so long. I can never. EVER. Get in touch with a human when I call the shop! I'd like to know what's going on before I waste time and petrol going down there only to be told no one is on duty for X amount of hours. Let's be honest, a lot of us would rather avoid the Ghettos Mall and not have to drop by just to get the status of an order. Why isn't anyone manning the phones?! All I want is an answer so I can determine wether I want to wait another 65 million years for these window coverings or just flat out cancel my order. I'm tired of the first floor of my new house looking ugly without blinds! read more

This review is for my most recent online shopping experience. My initial impression was a good one. There was plenty of selections for kids clothes. There was also an online coupon for an additional savings which was also good. I browsed the website and selected clothes for my niece and nephew. In total I spent about 150.00 after the online savings. The credit card charges and order fulfillment is where it got confusing. Each individual item I ordered appeared as a desperate charge on my credit card versus charging the entire total. There were 5 separate credit card charges. To add to my confusion there were 4 separate shipments of the order, each arriving on a different day. To top it all off i received a generic email stating that one of the items I ordered was out of stock and they gave me a refund for it. read more

I've been here countless times and I'd say this is my favorite JCP in town. I like this store because they have an awesome dress department, Levi's department and they have Sephora cosmetics/perfume section. Most of the time I am able to find what I need in any given department and at a great price. I also like the fact that if there is something I like online they will ship it to the store at no charge and if it doesn't work out you can return it at the store. The sales clerks are friendly most of the time and make your shopping trip a pleasant one. Today I scored when I was able to purchase the remaining stock of some hard to find perfumes, yay for me.
