Sunglass hut review 2nd floor. I'm super indecisive and I won't buy until I know it's the best pair! I had my husband, my 5 yr old and 2 very chill but professional associates helping me find polarized sunglasses and it was so hard! But the associates was super helpful , patient, cleaned every frame I tried on. Then when I narrowed down to 4 they suggested I try them on outside which made a big difference!! Was way easier to pick the perfect one once I saw the difference in grey lens vs a blue lens. This Place is way too big to scout through. Like other Macys, most of it is womens clothing and accessories. Depending on where you park, the mens section is like hidden on the east end. I went searching through different floors until i found the big pathway leading to the Mens side. Being that it's in south coast, it's bit bigger than the average store, but has the same brands. I typically don't shop at department stores like Macy's for clothes because the pricing isn't appealing to me when you can get so much more for your money elsewhere. Having said that, on the few occasions where I had to buy a belt or tie or socks, I've never had a bad experience here. The service is usually good and they did have the items that I needed that I could not get at other retailers when I needed something specific. As long as you are okay with what you are paying, then you could a lot worse than shopping at Macy's. read more

We had a great experience here shopping for our wedding over two days. I forgot the name of the first associate who helped us but he was an older Philippino man- he made us laugh a lot and made sure we got a good deal and a suit that for perfectly- bar III- a skinnier suit for more modern tastes. Then today Leo helped me with my shoes and even though the store was crazy because of a sale he was very patient and went out of his way to help us. Frank was exceptionally helpful in finding the correct size in the same suit - which was in stock- and made sure it was the right fit. I ended up getting a few more items as well. I've been shopping for jewelry for my wedding. This Macy's has the largest selection of fashion and fine jewelry than any of the other Macy's I've been to in SoCal. They would've gotten 5 stars but their saleswomen are very inconsistent and are very hit and miss. Some aren't too knowledgeable and some haven't been very helpful. I shopped here a LOT for the holidays, I pretty much bought all of my gifts here. I must say they have spectacular sales, the coupons are great! The quality of clothing is usually pretty decent and the return policy, from what I've experienced, is pretty good. The customer service is pretty hit or miss I'll admit. For example, last week I asked a woman in fine jewelry if they carried any necklaces with initials, her response was "umm I don't think so, I don't usually work at this counter so I don't know." I responded with "okay, will can you point me to somebody that could help me?" Her response was something like "well we are all rotating around, but I don't think we have them." Okay...well then can you please CHECK and make sure??!! Sheesh! After that I ended up purchasing a locket to give to my sister-in-law for Christmas. As I was wrapping it I discovered it was broken. The darn thing wouldn't even close so I had to take it back :(. However, another time I was looking for a Reyn Spooner shirt EVERYWHERE for my grandpa, I can't tell you how many places I had looked. I was on a mission! I found the one I wanted, but of COURSE the only size I couldn't find was the one I needed. Long story shorter the woman that helped me did everything imaginable to help me find this shirt since inventory showed one was available in the store. She checked the stock room, asked some employees, pretty much went shirt by shirt in her department to find it for me. She was so amazing she checked the inside tag, not just the coat-hanger, she FOUND IT! The XL that I had been looking for was on a Medium coat-hanger in another section! I will be grateful to her forever and ever because it was for my grandpa who recently had a stroke. It was the one thing he really really wanted to show off to everyone in the nursing home. Let's just say I hadn't seen him smile that big in a long long time. Plus his exact words were "This is my favorite shirt that I have ever gotten." So thank you lady at Macys! Next time I go I'll try to find her and get her name so she can get some recognition!!!! read more

I have been shopping more than usual at this Macy's for some dress clothes for work. They employee wouldn't back off so I finally gave in and tried to open a credit card to get 20% off my purchase. It didn't work and I am glad. My girlfriend went to go buy some pants for work and she tried opening an account because the employee said she would give my girlfriend 20% off right then and there if she opened a credit card. She was able to get a card sent to the house and then the employee said the price to finish the sale which was not discounted 20% and my girlfriend got in a fight with her because she had just told us she would get 20 % off. Basically they lie to you so you will open a credit card with them and you don't get the discount they speak of. Seriously, do not go here and open a credit card!!!!! read more

I came to pick up 3 dishes set from this Macy's on Saturday at 1:00pm. Parking was still plentiful and I got a spot that was reasonably close. Store was clean and online pick up area was easy to find. I really didn't think it through cause I came by myself and now I have 3 big heavy boxes to bring to the car. Alejandra who checked me out was very nice and even offered to help me take the boxes to my car so all was good. I feel that she went above and beyond and I'm thankful for her help. read more

They had a sign out by Shiseido cosmetics saying if you buy 2 skincare products you can get a gift bag. When I walked up to pay, they changed the story and said I had to buy $75 in order to get a gift bag. This store doesn't honor their advertisement. read more

If I were to rate Macy's overall, it would be 4 stars (my hometown location is Union Square, which is quite a nice store). Yes, I agree that I usually find a deal or two when I shop here, as long as I have my Macy's card. However, during a trip to the South Coast location, a sales associate (1.) double charged my Macy's account for approximately $200, and (2.) left the security ink tag on my wife's new pants purchase. Thus, I had to call and write to Macy's customer service to reverse one of the duplicate charges (not really a big deal, though a waste of about an hour's worth of my time). I also had to bring the pants back to Macy's and "prove" to another associate that I didn't shoplift the pants the first time around (as the tag was noticeably still attached). Fortunately, a floor manager solved this issue, but I felt stupid having to wait around, not to mention drive back today, to resolve the second issue associated with this sale. My view of Macy's falls a notch due to the unnecessary work I had to do to clean up the original associate's "mess". Had this been Nordstrom's, their customer service would have fixed these issues right away. However, Macy's takes a bit more of the "guilty until proven innocent" attitude. At no point did I receive any apology from a live person, though their nice form letter did acknowledge how they regretted this unfortunate incident. At least I have that. read more

Five stars all around for Linda Rodriguez employee ID 10842849. Linda exemplified how every employee at Macy's should treat their customers. We walked in about 9:10 PM on Wednesday 7/27/16; store hours were only till 9:30 pm. I was searching for a Citizen watch I had viewed online. Linda approached my girlfriend and me and asked if we needed any assistance. Although I wanted to find the watch myself I couldn't, I'm very stubborn. Linda, very politely asked if we had code number for the citizen watch. I gave her the code and she said I will be right back please hold. Within 1 minute she came back with the exact watch I desired! My eyes lit up just like when a little kid gets a new puppy. :) Linda built great rapport with both my girlfriend and I. She had gone to a restaurant where my gf resides that we go to as well. We told Linda how we just got back from Hawaii not too long ago and sure enough she is going to get married in Hawaii! It's this rapport, politeness, friendliness, going above and beyond of her duties which will make me return. I will recommend Linda to all of my friends and family. She also said she could assist if we need to buy anything online and she will deliver directly to our house. Linda is an outstanding employee and her graciousness will make Macy's have a great reputation and will have a lot of customers returning back as she displayed such a great experience for both my girlfriend and I. She also stayed after 9:30 pm to fit my watch for me. Linda is how every employee should treat their customers and she is a great example for her coworkers. On Father's day week end, my husband bought 4 shirts and a pair of shorts from Nordstrom in south coast plaza. He paid over $500. It's his first father's day and he deserves it. Anyway, he hanged the shopping bag on the baby's stroller, together with other shopping bags we had. We were parked outside Macy's so we walked out through it. By the time we got home, we could not find the Nordstrom bag. Needless to say we were not happy. Following morning I went there and asked, but they did not have it. The mall was so busy that week end so to find something like that was practically impossible. I then checked at Macy's customer service, and guess what, they had it!! I was thrilled. The last two times I had to return items purchased online, you would think I had completely inconvenienced the associates handling this. A few days ago, the woman looked me up and down, and said in the most accusing voice, "So NONE of these worked for you?" While the obvious answer was: "Ummmm, NO ~ which is why I am here returning them", for some odd reason I felt compelled to give her an explanation of why the particular items were being returned...until I overcame my initial shock and realized that THIS IS HER JOB, and SHE GETS PAID TO DO IT. I love shopping at Macys, it convenience, easy to shop and they always have promotions. I find myself constantly shopping at Macys. I have been doing too much lately because they have those "Macy's money". I love Dior makeup counter, the girls are nice, they're not pushy and let me have my own time look around and try on makeup. The reasons I gave 3 stars because of the experience today. I went to Estée Lauder and Shiseido makeup counter, I find the sale associate were not friendly and very pushy. I find that in most Asian associates, I'm not being racist, I am Asian as well. I came to Estée Lauder first, the Asian was following me if I need anything. I looked around and didn't find anything I like but indeed i need to return a blush from Dior brand that I bought last week. The girl said that she can only do an exchange but not a return, I have to go to Dior counter to do that. That was rude, I never had any problems before for return a different brand products in different makeup counter. So I walked out to Shiseido counter to exchange it for a sunscreen. Again, another Asian associate, no smile on her face. Super rude, pointed out to the sunscreen and said that's the last one that they have. Scared me of asking for a brand new one in the back??? I still smile do the exchange. She open up the Dior blush, inspecting so close and asked me " u did not use it right?" I said " no, I just bought it" but if I use it, so what? Would not let me return or exchange or what. I've done returning and exchange makeup stuffs in my life and I never had problems like this. So after she did the exchange, she's not saying thank you or even make eye contact. Just walked right out when she's done with me. Compared to the experience that I always have at Dior, their customer service is wayyyyyy far below comprare to Dior and Chanel sale associates. My mom loves Shiseido cosmetics and skin care but I find asian sale associates are ways too pushy to sell stuffs. Good things, my skin does not approve any of their products. Worst place for shopping I bought a foundation from Chanel and as soon as I got home I opened it and the Container in the box was empty I ended up to the Macy's in South Coast Plaza to the Chanel counter and I share this story with them but the counter manager that her name is Ellie she said it's not my problem that's your problem and she asked to me so bad and then I told her I didn't know it's empty because I didn't check it and this is Macy's responsibility and she said if I want to return it it's gonna Bad for my counter and I cannot do anything for you you just lost your money. I was so surprised because they won't sell something to you they act super nice but then there's a problem with the product and you want to return it it's totally different because they are not make any commission on return items. I feel sorry for the Macy's and for the Chanel because they have force people to working there. I love giving 5 stars but ....I had a bad experience. I have noticed that Macy's is certainly not at the standard they once were. I have been to Macy's at several locations over the years and it never gets better. Early Sunday evening I came to the Lancome section for a bottle of new foundation. I brought my current bottle that was low, but not empty to show the girl what I needed. Paid her some cash and the rest on my debit card. She forgot all the cash and put it on the debit and I just let it go. Figured it was a long day and gave her benefit of doubt. Once I arrived home I went to deduct the debit from from checking when I noticed she had not returned my debit card or my foundation. I take responsibility for not noticing it at the time but the anxiety of not reaching Macys(they were now closed) was very nerve racking. The next morning when I called they knew nothing about it and I did not get a call from Macys until 6:00 that evening. Thank goodness my bank suggested I cancel my card. Very, very disappointing that the girl did not inform her manager before leaving that evening or turning it in to their security department. I will not be visiting Macy again, not just because of this experience but overall Macys just is not what they use to be. I will say that I can not hold Macys completely responsible for this employee because they do have a good selection and there are some great people that work here. read more

Customer service is horrible!! I was ready to be rung up and MARC helped me out in the women's section (oneill & billabong section). So absolutely rude to me. I even asked him if someone else could help me because he was being so rude and giving me attitude because he messed up my transaction. And to top it off... He counted back my change and laid it on the counter told me to have a good day then just walked away in a hurry. I stood there in shock and just watched him leave.
