I came in for a dress red dress shirt. The men's store is three levels. I found Lizz and Osep and they were more than happy to help me. Osep measured me. The two of them helped me find the right shirt. I was pleased with the service I received. I don't wear dress clothes often, but when I need new clothes I'll return.

I love Macy's. I've been shopping at Macy's for years and years and just about every week. Especially this location at South Coast Plaza. Such a nice store, and when they have a sale (several times a month, ha ha), I usually find many good buys. I also like to order online. They have excellent delivery services. Orders always arrive super fast without having to pay for shipping fees.

Macy's at the South Coast Plaza is a large store. Women's dress department is spread over a large area. There were not too many helpers here but I found a few of items in the smart casual department. The people in the women's shoe department are quite not helpful. I think they were super busy with a long lines to waited to need help. But there were lots of choices and prices were reasonable. The perfume store was good, the lovely lady was helpful. I bought a skincare online their also sent me the wrong item I think with such a busy holiday they need to hire more people whether it's online or in store they really need to hire more people to make it easier for people to shop

My favorite department store of them all. There's something for everyone, whether you're a baby, a young teen, a college kid, a young mom, or older. The South Coast Plaza mall location has this store completely dedicated to woman, then another store further down in this same mall for men, and then another separate store across the bridge for home items. They also recently put a Wretzels Pretzels station inside the main Macy's on the first floor by the shoes. If you shop here regular, or even just once or twice a year, it really pays to get the Macys credit card. I've had credit here since my early college years. You get points for every purchase and birthday deals. They also always have sales going on throughout the year. The big sale days are during the holidays, but they also have random Flash sales and One Day sales that will give you 25%, 50% and even up to 65% off on select items. Once they email about the sale though, you need to shop fast or lots of sizes will be sold out by the evening. Sometimes it'll be an online only sale, and other times it'll be both in-store and online. The app is really the best way to make your purchases. You can choose to have your order delivered to you, or sent to one of their locations. And for returns you have 30 days to either mail them back, or take them to the store. They make everything so easy no matter how you prefer to shop.

I've been a long time shopper of Macy's as they always have the best deals when it comes to shopping at a large department store. They have a last act section where you can really score some good deals and you don't need coupons. The personnel are always friendly and helpful. What I enjoy at Macy are the special events they have throughout the year to celebrate the various holidays. I happened upon the Lunar New Year celebration today so was treated to a Lion Dance and a Vietnamese dance as well. There was also a handful of local AAPI vendors there to showcase the unique culture. Macy's will continue to be one of my favorite stores to shop at!

This was the closest place here in OC to find BBC stuff but it doesn't look like they have much of it anymore. I know some of these are limited edition but c'mon.. if you want $250 for a jacket you're gonna have to add more than a patch or small graphic to a regular looking jacket/hoodie to get my business. A vintage 100% silk Victoria's Secret top? $0.10--yes, ten cents. A rag & bone handbag? Also $0.10. When I asked for clarification, they said maybe the buyer didn't realize the brand... but even then, how does that justify ten cents? The only offer that felt remotely fair was $50 for my Balenciaga hoodie. Everything else? Basically nothing--$1 total for four additional items. They were also "authenticating" my vintage Dior bag, and at that point I just stopped the process. I wasn't about to risk them offering me such a low price for it. It genuinely felt absurd. I understand resale businesses need margin, but this felt extreme. It honestly made me feel bad for people who sell here--like you'd have to be in a really tough spot to accept those kinds of offers. What's more frustrating is that nothing in the store is priced anywhere near that low. As a buyer, I've spent real money here--I even bought a beautiful vintage D&G belt for $250. Now I can't help but wonder what they paid for it. This experience definitely changed how I see the store. I still think they have great pieces, but the selling side feels incredibly one-sided. Offering even 20-30% of resale value would feel a lot more reasonable. Their "coding" for buying, It's a huge scam. As much as i loved shopping here.. you are better off not selling. Don't give your items away unless you're truly okay with the price--don't make a decision out of desperation. (If you have that luxury)

It's not worth explaining, but I had two horrendous experiences with their customer service. I came in for an exchange, in which an employee could not help with due to what she thought was store policy... I was walking out (fuming) when Katie stopped me, brought me back into the store, and helped me in 5 minutes. I was ready to be an ALO hater for the rest of my life until she went out of her way to make things right. The employees need better training on the products, they gave me false information and then contradicted themselves when I came back. I talked to many of my clients and colleagues about what happened, and they all had similar experiences with this location. For how much the products cost, the store needs more employees like Katie who are willing to go the extra mile to create solutions for you. I feel like they expect the customer to be an entitled rich person right off the bat, when everyone should be treated the same. I completely understand holding your ground and complying with policies, but it would be best if they knew the policies before enforcing them with cement. They may need managers to judge if an exchange is appropriate, and have more product knowledge. As I said to them in the store, I wish all the employees well and hope they don't take a customer's persistence personally. I will be so grateful for Katie's kindness and support for a long time. Otherwise I would be out $600 and this review would be 1 star.
