It's been over 11 years since I've been here and now I'm back with my Mr. since we live nearby. Plus I was wanting to try a new pizza joint so here we are. I forgot how good this place is. They have everything a pub grub would have to offer. Appetizers, Wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches and of course PIZZA! They have their specialty pizzas or you can build your own. They come in three sizes. Additional cost for toppings and also offer gluten free crust. Drink menu is huge especially their craft beer section! Love that they also have a good wine and cocktail as well. We ordered a medium 12 inch build your own pizza. Toppings: mushrooms, ground beef and banana peppers. Their crust is hand tossed. We also ordered 6 Spicy Garlic Wings. Drinks, I got an Malbec to pair with my pizza and my Mr, a pint of leinenkugel's summer shandy We got our order pretty quick and I was truly impressed with the pizza! Crust was crunchy and love dipping it with the garlic butter sauce (I had to ask for it on the side, can you believe it's vegan?!) the wings made my Mr extra happy. Overall I love this neighborhood bar and grill. Great service and I can't wait to come back and try the French Fry Pie!!!! This place rocks!

Yeah, my lady and I are definitely pizza fans. How could anyone not be? Especially with so many good pizza spots around. Personally I'd have to add this to the list of must-try places. Classic pub-style pizza made great! My lady and I live nearby and have been wanting to try this place for a bit. Finally, on a Saturday afternoon, we did and definitely enjoyed it. The place itself is pretty big with lots of seating, both inside and outside on the patios. Wanna watch the game? There are plenty of big screen TVs around. Their beer selection is quite impressive. They also have a nice wine selection and full bar. Their menu is loaded with lots of classic pub grub options. I had to start with some spicy garlic wings and a pint of Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. My lady ordered a glass of malbec. We both enjoyed the wings. They had just the right amount of spicy kick, LOTS of garlic, and they were pretty big. As for our pizza, we ordered a 12" with ground beef, mushrooms, and banana peppers (our go-to create your own combo) along with a side of garlic sauce (yeah, we love garlic. No wonder vampires never visit us.). The pizza was VERY delicious. Even the crust was good enough that it didn't need any sauce. Mac's is an excellent pizza spot, bit they're far more than just pizza. Needless to say, my lady and I will be back again to try more of their tasty food and libations.

We stopped at Mac's which is overpriced and rarely has anything but mediocre service. Their food can be good... but you have to get to the point where they you want to wait on you. 6/4/2023 It's convenient so we stopped for a draft (hopefully two) at the bar around 5:45 PM on a Sunday afternoon . The bar person was Lizzie. The bar was occupied but not busy. We got our beer after a wait. Lizzie at that point started talking to her girlfriend who was sitting next to us at the bar. For the next 25 minutes they talked about what Lizzie was going to order for supper. She ignored us and then made a production of having to cash out. We were going in with the intention of having supper and enjoying a couple of cold ones. Probably would have spent $60-$70 that night. Someone might say, ask for the manager? Why? If servers typically treat customers like this does anyone really care? BTW: Almost 13 bucks later and we went somewhere else.

What a great place! We came for pizza after our first day of pre school. Staff so nice, bathrooms very clean, great food! We will be back. We want to sit outside on our next visit!

How have I driven past this place so many times and never stopped?! Won't happen again! Found a Half Price Cincy deal so it was a great excuse to try a place we've never been before. I was concerned about the parking but it's not an issues at all. There is plenty of seating and masks are enforced. I'm not a beer drinker but hubby is and they have a pretty decent beer selection. The food is CRAZY good!! On my first visit I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and swore I would never order anything else. Until my 2nd visit when I got the pesto primavera pizza. And now it is clear to me that I must try something new every time I come. The service is great- very friendly and professional. Signed, Your biggest fan.

Very good establishment. Plenty of seating. Went on a Friday night during covid. Nice beer selection while still offering light beers. Split a pizza with a friend, we both thought it was fantastic. Service was solid. Will definitely be back.

Meh, it's ok pizza. Very very greasy, and definitely football pizza. I'd give it a 5.2 out 10.

Food is good, little loud when sports are on. Coming here on the weekends means everyone is getting slumped here.

The fish is enormous (see photos) the accompanying slaw is very small and oddly Asian tasting which is not what I'd choose with English fish and chips. We split the fish and ordered an extra piece. I don't have too much to say about the drinks as I just had water, but the food was tasty and exactly what we needed on a cold afternoon. To start out, we ordered the famous beer cheese, and crab cakes for the table. The famous beer cheese was similar to a fondue but it was prepared well and had me wishing I had more. Very tasty and perfect for sharing. The crab cakes were equally tasty and tasted fresh with a nice consistency. As a table, we ordered the mariemont salad, the Cuban, the famous burger and a bowl of chili. I don't have too much to say about the burger. It was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. The salad was unique and was shared by 2 people at our table. The Cuban was filled well and good value. Its always nice to see a restaurant not skimp out and deliver a nice product. In my opinion, the star of the show was the chili. This was a hardy, filling and extremely tasty chili! And of course, it was exactly what I needed on a cold, cloudy day. I ended up ordering a second bowl, it was that good! I would reccomend this place for a casual meetup with friends or family. Plenty of cozy seating inside, fast and friendly service and great food!

I started smiling as soon as we walked in. Such a cool and fun atmosphere. Chicago sports memorabilia everywhere you look along with Chicago food favorites on offer. The bar is old and wooden with comfortable seats. It has a really nostalgic feel, like an urban neighborhood pub from decades ago. Plenty of tables, and I've heard rumors of an upper deck that is open at appropriate times. There is also outdoor seating on High Street. The atmosphere is undoubtedly very different on a Friday night when it's packed with upper classmen throwing back shots, but on a weekday late afternoon suppertime I'd say it's family friendly and welcoming to all. (I even saw a sign behind the bar: No explicit lyrics before 9 pm.) There were several staff members at work either making food or behind the bar. They were all quite young, and quite friendly and cheerful. I'm holding off on the fifth star till we get a chance to try the food. We had already eaten and just stopped for a couple of beers (a Truth and a Mich Ultra, on tap). But now I'm writing this I'm getting a serious craving for Italian Beef, so hope to be back soon.

I don't really have words to describe it. They only have one size pizza and, at first, I thought it was huge. However, the flavor was so amazing I kept wanting more. Hubs and I did a half and half pizza. His half was the Alms Park and my half was bacon and pineapple. I probably could have eaten a whole pizza by myself. The blend of cheeses and their sauce - so stinking good. We also got a house salad to split. Being that this was to go - they gave us the main salad in one container with their house made croutons in a separate container and their house made vinaigrette in a separate container - it keeps everything fresh and crisp! The croutons were so delicious and fresh! On top of that, the vinaigrette was amazing. We both fell in love with it. We walked in and ordered instead of placing online or calling. The service was AMAZING! We decided to wait in our car and they walked it out to us! They were amazingly friendly and wonderful. Their pizza isn't the cheapest pizza around but it was worth the money we spent. This won't be an every week visit, but definitely a new favorite. While this location is carry-out only, it was very welcoming. They also sell bottles of wine and had signs talking about them. It was a very neat little local place.
