Cassandra was amazing! Her makeup recommendations were perfect. Great customer service!!!

No customer service! I walked in 2 employees in full conversation with each other. Did not acknowledge me. I finally asked for help, but then went back to the conversation. So unfortunate. They were friendly but definitely not interested in helping customers. guess they're getting paid to socialize with each other. read more

Horrible customer service by the manager Elizabeth. Has the discretion to help me but was difficult and rude. Did not help at all.

I went in to the store this morning a little after 10-2employees talking looked up no greeting they continued to talk. I looked around for few minutes and I left due to lack of customer service. I went to MACYS for my MAC purchase. They have me confused I don't need them and I don't spend MY GREEN where my BLACK IS NOT RECOGNIZED . Remedial training or TERMINATION IS NEEDED read more

Valentine's Day literally left the mall right now I walked in here wasn't packed I had plans to purchase my wife a MAC makeup set up for valentines I walk in nobody greeted me. The store was not packed. There was only three customers in there. I was standing around looking for somebody to even acknowledge me. Say hi. I'll be right with you. Nothing an employee walked past me three times at that point, I was just pissed off and I'm not a person who is good at getting pissed off. My plans were to spend a good amount of money on a Valentines gift for my wife. I walked out, shaking my head. read more

The ladies in this store were so kind and Liz was such a lifesaver! I came in needing a makeup fix BAD (and on short notice) for an event - I had gotten my makeup done by an MUA outside of MAC and the end result was not what I was hoping for. I called MAC on a whim, went in, and Liz took care of me immediately. My makeup looked flawless all night and I got so many compliments. I can't stress enough how thankful I am and I will be back to get my makeup done again! read more

I made a makeup appt for a holiday party. I was so impressed by how clean the store was and helpful employees. I was so fortunate to have Amy do my makeup. I absolutely loved how I looked. My makeup stayed in place all night long. Amy is an amazing artist and will definitely be coming back. read more

Made an appointment to have my eye makeup done for a wedding. Dylan was the person doing my make up. They were the same person I spoke with about making my appointment a month earlier. What they said the appointment would be like and what it was actually like were two different things. The appointment was rushed, the makeup was terrible and I have a feeling because this person felt they wouldn't be making a sale off of me, they didn't really care about putting forth any effort. I did buy some product and I wish I hadn't. This employee did not deserve to get credit for the sale. There was absolutely no care in putting anything on. Eyebrows were blotchy and when I was handed a mirror to look at the work there was eye shadow all over my face and it looked like I had two black eyes with no mascara applied. I was shocked to say the least that this person was asking me if I liked it, knowing I came in to get this done for an event and it looked like shit. I went home and washed everything off my face and did my own makeup. So disappointed. What a complete waste of my time. I wonder if MAC finds this kind of customer service acceptable. read more

I was going to Nocturnal Wonderland and dressing as Ursula (our whole group was creative versions of Disney characters). I thought the right makeup would really finish off the look and make me recognizable. Sadly, I missed out on getting that gene that other girls seem to have.... the one that enables one to have a natural knowledge of how to do their own hair and makeup. Because of my impairment, I decided to have my makeup professionally done, and I'm so glad I called MAC! I guess they do makeup for costumes, events, raves, Halloween, etc. Regular makeup is $60 (with a free mascara) and costume/full face makeup is $100. I called to say I would be 10 minutes late and the woman I spoke with was completely nice about it. When I arrived, Kat (sorry if it's Cat!) got started on my right away. I showed her a few pictures and let her run with it. She told me about how she visited a MAC store in 7th grade when her dad told her to get what she needed, and she loved makeup and knew how to work with it naturally for as long as she could remember. Her natural talent was obvious, and the bright pigmented eyeshadows made my Disney villain image come to life. She also incorporated some of her own ideas, giving my dark red two-toned lips by layering a few different colors for dimension. I LOVED loved loved the finished look! I got compliments all night and the makeup stayed without a smudge through the wee hours of the morning. I know who I'm going to next time I need my makeup done for anything. Thanks so much, Kat! read more

I was so excited when I saw a MAC Cosmetic being build inside the Montclair Plaza last year. I finally have my favorite store close by. I used to shop at the MAC Cosmetic in Brea Mall but that one sucks (read my review on it). I love the makeup artist here. They don't make you feel liek you don't belong in their store. Very friendly atmosphere and your always greeted with a smile (not fake ones like you get from the other store). The place is still being renovated but one makeup artist did say they were moving downstairs to a bigger location. I'm pretty sure if I don't own my business I would happily work here. The vibe that you get from the artist here are so great. But come to think of it I would be so broke if I did work here my salary will go towards my makeup. Maybe next time I go I will bring cake and goodies for them to show how much I appreciate them being so wonderful. read more

Very upsetting and disappointing experience today So I needed a color match since I went lighter on my hair color, I arrived to no one even being there I waited a few minutes and someone eventually showed up,so I knew with this Covid19 situation they were not going to want to color match me which I was ok with but what pissed me off was the girl just told me to color match on my own, but I was expecting her to be there to help me out since I'm not the MUA, I turned around and no one was there, I wanted to purchase several items since I received a Mother's Day gift card and I wanted to splurge, but with service like this I rather go to another location, the girls seemed like they did not want to be there at all, like you should be grateful to have a job there's lots of others who don't unfortunately, and that's what makes me so upset people don't value nothing now and days, but oh well left empty handed!! read more

Walked into this MAC store Sunday only because Nordstrom didn't have what I needed. I didn't like the color after applying on my lips so I decided to exchange for another color. I had the bag the box and it was brand new but couldn't find my receipt. Elena at the MAC store who is the Ops Manager gave me such a hard time just to exchange it. I love MAC and over the years spent quite a bit of money buying their products. After providing her my name when she asked for it, she looks at my work badge as if I were lying about my own name. Really?! Wow! c'mon, don't make it so obvious lol She then asked for my phone number and my address. I don't mind the questions, I mind her crappy attitude and how she asked the questions. Just RUDE... She eventually allowed me to exchange it but she said she wasn't going to give me the box or bag for it. She took it out of the box and handed it to me in my hand. Wow, treated me like if I stole it. If she knew what role I play in healthcare, she would have known that I could've bought a thousand more lipliners that day if I wanted to.... I will never go back to this location. MAC should really consider hiring some more friendly employees with better customer service. read more

I reside close to the Mac counter @ Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, however, on Sunday I was in the Montclair area, and needed to purchase a pair of lashes, and some makeup. Tiffany, one of the make up artist gave me assistant . She was very helpful in helping me make my selection. She was professional and at the same a great sense of humour . Jessica, the manager came over to say hello. She is so pretty and friendly with a great personality. I will definitely be back. Two thumbs up to Jessica and her team! Well done read more

Second time around that's very disappointing, walked in there today with my little girls, the thought I'd get help into matching me with a concealer, there were 2 employees, one walking around and the other one at cashier, I know they saw me! Didn't get greeted, wasn't approached to ask if I needed help which I certainly did. Never again coming back, thought I'd give them another chance since the first time I was there it was also bad service. Not sure if it was because I'm a "Mom Mom" and my face wasn't caked i didn't even matter to them. Shame on your employees Mac. Went to Sephora and was very happy with the girls customer service, walked with a bag full of make up and happy read more

I buy all my makeup from MAC, but never at this location! Every time i walk into this store i walk right back out! Each time no one ever acknowledges that I am standing there waiting for assistance, no, their just there having conversations with each other, with annoyed looks on their faces. Anyways, so today I call to set up an appointment to get my makeup done (I thought I was calling the one inside the Nordstrom) So I book my appt and ask how much do I have to spend, because I know you have to buy a certain amount of product to get your makeup done. She says its a $60 service fee and if I want to purchase anything there's a charge, which left me confused. This whole time I feel like she was rushing me off the phone, so because i need my makeup done I say ok and I ask her name and she says Elizabeth and right away hangs up the phone! Didn't even give my a chance to ask which location I was calling or even say thank you! I find the Nordstrom number, call and Debbie answers and is super nice, she confirmed to me that I am now calling the one inside Nordstrom and that I need a 4 item purchase to get my makeup done. Perfect! That is what I remember, book my appt, done. How I wished the other conversation went. So I call back MAC, the one outside Nordstrom, say I just booked an appt, my name she cuts me off says ok and hangs up! Didn't even get to say the date and time I had the appt! NEVER NEVER will I walk into the location again or consider getting my makeup done here! I will take my business down to Nordstrom! All the girls that work here are rude, unprofessional and should take a class on customer service! I wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Worst. Service. Ever! Why am I ignored? I am a g**damn customer like everyone else. Is it because I am not 20? Is it because I had yoga pants on? Wtf! I ended dropping $237 cause I was out of so many products. Had you know how much I was spending when I first walked in maybe then you would have acknowledged me. I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me. And during tht 20 minutes not once did someone say "I'll be right with you", or anything like that. I vow never to Return to this store and will take my business to nordstrom. read more

um EWE! wtf. I got suckered into their Labor Day make over promotion to have someone test their new summer make up on me. They used the testers on EVERYONE. Rude rude rude ! I had one makeup artist treat me very nice and helped me with everything but the moment I told her I wasn't interested In an item she all of a sudden fell off on the nice-ness , I'm sorry I don't like heavy makeup on my face or looking orange and not only that I had seen the same employee outside of work at a bar and she was so stuck up and rude , MAC you need some new employees ! Don't get me started with Christmas Eve shopping , all the employees were by the cash registers just talking it up and didn't acknowledge I was standing there not knowing what the hot items were or no one to assist me asking if they could help me with something . I've had some pretty good experiences shopping at this location. I am always greeted and they are quick to pull the products I ask for. I have had an occasional employee get passive aggressive and weird on me when I asked to be color matched for makeup. Some of them don't seem to understand that makeup looks different outside than in their store so I have to step out and check it first, no need to get impatient about it! read more

I'm a freelance makeup artist. I travel quite often for my type of work... I've made countless trips to various MAC stores. I felt the need to take some time and type up a positive review for this particular store. First of all, the customer service here was hands down. The staff here acknowledges their clients. They immediately apologize for the wait because they're busy. That is one great thing any small or huge company can offer their clientele is to acknowledge them and on top of that, is to apologize for the wait. Customers will want to come back for being acknowledged. This MAC location was by far the best one I've come across in a long time! I have a huge amount of respect for those that work retail because I'm sure they have their plates full of work but when you don't greet, acknowledge or apologize to your clients we will not be back. I hope to visit this store again!!!!!! read more
