My boyfriend and I came here for lunch last week after it was recommended to me by a colleague. I had one hour for my lunch break and we were served promptly and were able eat with plenty of time to spare. We both got variations of turkey wraps, and were each only able to find half of our wraps. I ordered the homemade fries ( excellent decision) and my man got fries and the Mac salad. If you're looking for a laid back, fun experience with classic diner food, this is the place! All of the breakfast items are good. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The daily specials are creative and often tasty. There is usually a wait for a table but they move things along fairly quickly. I've never waited more than 20 minutes, even when it's really busy. The food was good and plentiful. However, the service was lacking in my boyfriends and my opinion. The waitress never smiled while serving us. When I asked if I could substitute hash browns for toast she told me "it doesn't come with that", finally had to order a side of hash browns and ask to not get toast. Asked the waitress A1 steak sauce, she said yes and then never brought it, my boyfriend eventually had to ask the bus lady to bring the A1 Steak Sauce. The waitress never came back to see how the meal tasted. When she did come back it was to offer more coffee. We asked for the bill she slapped it down on the table and left. The service we didn't get from our waitress did go to the table next to us, which she served as well. I start my tips at 20% and it goes down based on service, our waitress got about 12% and we are never going back. read more

went here for the first time after hearing fantastic things, we were very disappointed. our server was not happy to be there & you could tell. we could hear her say a few times how she was leaving or wanted to go. my mom had coffee, she had to ask twice to get a refill after sitting there with an empty cup. ordered over medium eggs & they might of well still been raw. it was disgusting. the potatoes/home fries were cold. that could of been because it was beyond cold in there, i would assume they don't have heat or something because it was FREEZING. very disappointing considering i've heard great things & my mom has been they're before & it was great but this time too much went wrong, probably won't ever be going back. read more

We have made this our favorite "go to" restaurant for breakfast and lunch. It didn't take long to feel right at home, with a hearty welcome from the hostess and from whoever happens to be our waitress that day. I always feel like I have just walked into a good friend's kitchen for a cup of tea and a meal. Food ingredients could be a lot better. When I looked at the beef I was eating I wasn't positive it was beef because of it's color and texture. The rolls are very oversized for those that want all the carbs they can eat. This is a fantastic diner with reasonable prices and large portions. The best turkey club I have ever had, made with real turkey and fresh bread. Comes with homemade chips for less than $7! I've been 3 times, once for each meal. Breakfast - I love breakfast here, everything was cooked perfectly, the flexibility of the menu and the choices are great. This definitely beats out the other "family restaurants" in the area. One thing I dislike, zero personality from the servers, ZERO, they seem pissed they are there and just want to leave. Lunch - Average to below average. I went with my daughter who has a tree nut allergy, when the servers were questioned about cross contamination, oils, etc... I was answered with a blank stare, and then a "let me go check" I saw the waitress walk to the window, stand there, and walk back. Never even asked for me before returning with an answer of "the oil is probably OK" Yeah, please let me hang my daughters life on "is probably" no thanks. We luckily had some stuff packed for such a response (which we have noticed happens a lot) Anyway, I got my burger, the fried pickle was a nice touch, and very tasty although a bit oily, the burger was dry, extremely dry, and nothing was hot. Dinner - I'm not going to even go into dinner it was so awful. 45 minutes in and we received our meal, son's chicken and my burger were completely raw in the middle. Salads are nothing but water. Awful awful awful. My recommendation, if you're not looking for hospitality and just want a good breakfast, go for it. Other than that, avoid it at all costs. My standards are pretty low when it comes to eating out, I just want to pay for and receive something tolerable and edible, this place under delivers on both those expectations for lunches and dinners. So the first time was wonderful. Then I went for the chicken BBQ on Tuesday night. Chicken took forever and was not cooked. Sent it back. Again not cooked. However the cook enlightened me as to chicken is often pink when served. Hmmm, not where I eat. Didn't go back for awhile, tonight I gave it another try.... Scallops with spinach over linguini. Friend has Swiss Steak...took forever. the waitress informed me that the scallops were taking longer than expected. Hmm, I cook them home, 10 minutes in the broiler done! Okay, finally, but guess what, scallops were not cooked after a good 25 minutes. Really? Sent them back, they came back grilled. And by the way for $13.99 I expected more than 4 of them. Soooo, we found this place by accident, we stopped and now we are hooked! They have the best burgers, tasty salads, dinner entrées, specials everyday, I could go on forever! I ordered breakfast of scrambled eggs, 2 banana pancakes with crispy bacon and coffee to drink. Breakfast was delicious, the bacon was crispy. Service was quick except I had to request syrup for pancakes and I needed an extra plate because pancakes are so large. My wife and I would have to be called regulars as we generally eat here about every 10 days. There are so many great things on the menu it's usually tough to decide what we want. The burgers are huge and delicious, the trash plates, one of the best in the area and huge. The hot turkey sandwiches are enormous and maybe the best I've had anywhere. If you order a ham dinner, you'll be getting 2 plates as one is needed for the 1 pound of ham. Fish fries are always good and the waitresses are pretty much always very friendly. Not impressed! Went there last year and got a Frattata, 85% of the dish was potatoes for $10. Decided to give it a try again last week. My husband ordered a stack of French toast (asked for Texas toast) and I ordered a Belgium waffle, bill came to 18.50! The French toast was 6. but we were charged another 3. for Texas toast. Waitress should have told him there was an extra charge. My husband ordered coffee and never got a refill or topping off. Very surprising. I went there with my family after a movie and was very happy with our meals. My wife had the fish fry which looked larger than the average and was very crispy. She ordered the breaded version, not beer battered. The kids ordered off the kids menu and the food portions were adult like. I had the Mac daddy burger and it was very good. The food at this diner is really great and tasty! We have had several dishes over several visits and they were all delicious and a very good value- reasonably priced. The hand-made burgers (w/steak fries!) and hot turkey sandwich are among my favorites. It's in the former location of the long-gone Musclow's Drive-In (restaurant), right across the street from the movie theatre. I highly recommend this place.
