They have always arrived on time, had great communication with me during the moving process, and have handled my fragile antique furniture with great care, making sure the pieces arrive safely to their destination. The movers have always been friendly and polite, and their prices are also fantastic. In particular, I'd like to extend a special thanks to Antiono, John C, and Nick O, who did a wonderful job on my latest move!! They did such an amazing job, in every step of the moving process. Next time I move, I know the company I'll be using!

After checking several companies, I chose Not Your Husbands Moving because they had a good rating,…read moreand after talking with them, I was convinced they would do a good job. The movers arrived on time. The truck was loaded, and we drove the 2 miles to the new house. That's when things went wrong. Several things were damaged during unloading. A LARGE commercial deep freezer was flipped off the dolly and landed on its side on the driveway. Then, in trying to get the brand-new $ 3,500 refrigerator through the front door, there was a problem. We finally had our son-in-law come and take the security door and front exterior off. While the movers were moving it in the entire front of the fridge was scratched. We pointed these things out to the 3 movers and were told we still had to pay (over $2000 for the 2-mile move, which was all packed up and ready to go) and then take it up with the owner, which we did immediately. I contacted the company and was told I had to go through a different email and phone number to file a claim. I did that immediately. Their response was that the movers said, "The lady of the house said to shove the fridge through the door; she did care if it was scratched." This is a ridiculous response! They then said they needed to see pictures. I provided pictures. It was still almost 3 months and many emails back and forth before we were offered any relief. The freezer did not work correctly and the door was so damaged that it did not close so anything in it thawed. We lost about $500 in spoiled food. I also had sent pictures of the food in the freezer, shrimp, lobster, ribs, steak, butter, vegetables.......all ruined. We are able to use the fridge but it is heartbreaking to see the fridge in the kitchen with the front all scratched up when we saved a long time to get it. Not My Husband's Moving then offered us $300 compensation. We were at a stalemate, and I finally told them we would take the $300 under duress. After all, we felt they weren't going to truly try to make us whole. I am writing this review because this company looks to have several good reviews but I question if they are legit given the way our move was handled. I have all the correspondence and pictures regarding this transaction and would happily show them to anyone who questions the honesty of this review. Be aware that some companies are not as they portray themselves to be.

But after finishing the move and carefully unpacking every box the bags were no where to be found. We immediately contacted muscular moving men, and they were completely uncooperative. They would not give us the names of the movers who packed the boxes. They would not cooperate with police on an investigation. After weeks of trying to get any kind of follow up from them, we contacted their senior management about the missing handbags - and they said we were lying about the handbags. Do not hire muscular moving men! They are the worst! And if you notice a reply from them below - it is auto generated. They never called us back once during our attempts to recover the bags. They won't call you back either. And this reply is just to try to make them look kind and responsive - which they are not!

I received a follow up email fairly quickly the same day I sent a query for a quote. Andrew reassured me that I wouldn't need to sign any paperwork, do anything further with him as our email chain confirmed my appointment. Friday morning of my move rolls around and I'm put into a bit of a tailspin because my internet/tv provider needed to be at the new house earlier than expected. Michael & Bama called me shortly after to confirm my apartment [moving from there] location to begin packing. When I explained the sudden change in plan needing to meet the internet/tv provider at my house, they told me it'd be no problem to meet me there, chat, and pick up the keys to begin packing & moving. The guys were super sweet from the beginning and made me feel at ease just handing them my apartment keys and directions for the correct unit. By the time I came back, they were mostly done [in an hour, whoa!] and were getting down to some of the more heavy items. Lucky for me and them, I don't own a lot of things and they had a really big truck, so only 1 trip was needed. We came upon a problem with some of my furniture not fitting into my front door, so the guys took apart my gate with precision [and put it back together as neither of us had bolt cutters for the lock] and quickly got the furniture in and door back assembled. They made the move so much fun and stress-free. I estimated about 3 hours of work total for my budget, and that's what it came to. I was able to pay over the phone with my card, and received an email receipt a few minutes after payment was processed. Definitely worth looking into them for your moving needs!
