Service was good. The tea tasted strong and was made to the requested liking of sweetness. The claw machines added a cute touch to the ambiance.

M Tea is my favorite bubble tea spot. They always have fresh boba and they use fresh fruit in their teas. My go to is the mango pomelo which always contains ripe, delicious mango. I have never been disappointed by any of their teas that I have tried and they don't just use a bunch of syrups like most other bubble tea shops. A hidden gem in LIC.

Cute boba place in LIC. M Tea has a couple of other locations across NYC, and is from the same parent company as Mango Mango. I got the jasmine milk tea and shared a crème brûlée mille crepe cake slice. Everything was great, especially the cake. Super light and sweet + the crunch of the caramelized sugar was amazing. The interior is cute and clean with several tables to sit at.

Here for the boba crawl, the staffs were friendly. We told them we were there for the stamps. They have a loyalty card, buy 8 drinks and get one free. We ordered honeydew with boba & fresh ube milk with taro balls, the honeydew is better than the ube milk. There's desserts which includes cake and tiramisu. There's places for you to enjoy your drink and desserts with the claw machines!

Came in with friends and was surprised that the owner or manager had their young daughter working the orders. Everyone loved the taro but my brown sugar foam milk was hot at the bottom and cold at the top. Another friend had the rose bubble tea. There was a lot of variety and available seating, the bubbles were soft but I guess if I didn't have the young girl taking my order I would have tried to figure out more options. After having half Thai half taro from Anda Cafe at queens night market, it's hard to compare.

Heard a lot of great things about this place but unfortunately I couldn't go to their locations due to the weather. So I ordered in the coco latte with oat milk and it was perfect for the rainy weather felt cozy. Had a sweet tooth and was craving some cake. I was kind of hesitant to order the tiramisu because of the powder usually gets my throat. But, i'm glad I got it - was perfectly made and went well together with my drink. Not overly sweet. Can't wait to try other items from the menu next time!!

Green tea, black tea (maybe Oolong?) and regular milk tea with boba on the side from a Too Good To Go surprise bag

I can talk about M Tea in two different contexts. The first time I came here was for a Too Good To Go order (app that helps to save food waste) which had great value (see pic). My surprise bag contained 3 cups of tea, two of which I learned were slightly more concentrated and could be watered down and one milk tea. I was also given a small container of boba on the side. Essentially this was a take home DIY boba situation. The teas were also unsweetened which the woman mentioned before giving me the drinks. I was very impressed by the quality of boba and the tea was good as well. Unfortunately the fact that it was unsweetened meant I needed to heat the tea to add sugar myself. I understand why the drinks were left unsweetened since everyone has their own preference but I'll probably ask for sugar syrup on the side in the future. The second time I came was with a friend and we each ordered separate drinks. I tried the red bean milk tea for the first time as a recommendation from the store owner and liked it more than expected. My friend got fruit teas and liked hers as well (pomegranate green tea). The first time I went there it was night time and service was very quick. Unfortunately, the second time we went early so she was in the process of opening the store. We had to wait almost 25 minutes for our drinks since the sugar machine needed time to heat up. This was the reason it couldn't be 5 stars. I'd still come back but would avoid coming in the morning close to opening time for this reason. The quality of the boba and the drinks were very good and it's definitely worth coming here. It does look like it's usually run by one person so things may take some time depending on how busy it is. Also, they do have a location specific loyalty card so cash in on that if you plan to return (I'm always on the lookout for deals!). If you're up for some boba for the week I also highly recommend the Too Good To Go order if you're in the area around 9pm.

Only came here once because I was in the area and really wanted a tea. I tried their peach mochi and it was soooo delicious. One of the best mochi I've ever had. Was so soft and light, and the peach filling was delicious and not overly sweet. I would go back just for the mochi. They also have other little treats and desserts on display. The decor is super cute. Ample amount of tables and seating. The menu of drinks was pretty extensive and it was hard for me to decide. I got two drinks - the mango pomelo and the ube taro milk tea. I thought both were really good. Not overly sweet. There was actual fruit in the drink which was refreshing. The service was quick and friendly. When ordering, the cashier knew I was struggling to make a decision and had informed me that the ube taro drink I was ordering was not really sweet or flavorful, if I wanted to try something else. I did appreciate that suggestion, instead of potentially just letting me buy a drink I wouldn't like. Personally, I don't like my drinks too sweet so I did enjoy it and was able to taste the actual ube and taro throughout the drink. Overall, I would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

TLDR: if you like boba and sweets, this is your spot! Ordered the creme brûlée milk tea with oat milk! I was excited that they offered oat milk because many boba shops do not offer non-dairy alternatives to milk. It wasn't so much of a creme brûlée in that there was any burnt sugar, but there was a light, sweet custard smeared at the bottom of drink. I scraped off the custard from the sides of my drink and that was a mistake; all of the custard floated to the top and it was difficult to enjoy together. Don't be like me! Just drink normally or try to get some custard as you're drinking. I ordered my didn't at 25% because I find that drinks are typically too sweet for me and I figured that the custard would sweeten it up. But I would actually order it sweeter because it was not as sweet as I thought! Also ordered a slice of cake - the lavender chestnut and earl grey cake. I enjoyed the flavors of lavender and earl grey, but once I finished the chestnut filling, I found the actual cake to be quite tough. The light frosting somewhat made up for it. Perhaps next time I'll leave it at room temperature longer. Can't wait to come back!

M tea is right across the climbing gym that I go to so I have already been here a few times! I was craving for something sweet and creamy that day so I decided to get the brûlée bubble tea. I usually get 75% sugar and less ice for my bubble tea and it's normally perfect but it's unfortunately not sweet enough that day. I think the "brûlée" part (which is the yellowish custard on the side of the cup) is usually sweetened but it tasted a little bland that day. I came here 30min before it was closing that day so maybe that's why it was a little off? Even though the bubble tea that I got on that day was not perfect, I will probably give it another try just because I've tried different bubble teas here in the past and they were all very good.

This place popped up pretty recently in the LIC area and had not noticed it until a week or so ago. Another boba tea place in the area, but has some really nice desserts to set it apart from the competition. We have been here a few times but worth of mention were the ube milk tea and the peach lychee cake. The ube milk tea with added taro bubbles hit the spot, only gripe was I wish there was more ube in it because it was so tasty. The peach lychee cake was very decadent and had a nice fluffy texture. Big fan of the desserts here as I'm sure ill be back to try the rest!

Ordered the dessert to take home and they were packed really well. The store was quiet when I was there but the desserts were super tasty :)

During COVID-19 as of Jan 2022: Whenever I'm in this particular area of LIC, I usually opt into visiting M Tea. It went through a business change from 2019 where it previously sold and made bubble tea and delicious tong sui which they no longer do. As of 2021, they sell a vast menu of bubble tea flavors from fruit teas, milk teas, and slush drinks and, additionally, they make in house modern Asian pastry desserts like mini cakes with lychee and dragon fruit. As a bubble tea and dessert enthusiast, I recommend other bubble tea drinkers to try their drinks. With a variety of options, there is something for everyone to try and possibly new flavors to explore. My go-to's personally are their yakult drinks with grapefruit or lemon. Prices are comparable to neighboring businesses. What makes me come back to this establishment is the kind customer service, the ambience, and the desserts that they make. For me, the desserts really stand out from the competition. It is also not a big chain which, for me, is usually why I go to certain tea shops and would rather support small, local businesses. Because of the location, I've always come here on slow days where I was the only customer so the wait time was quick. I also adore the lush pink velvet chairs, marble tables, and gold accents in this cafe! I feel like the interior is very similar to ones in Asia, particularly in East and SE Asia! Accepts cash, card, and Applepay. Masks and social distancing inside. Bathroom available. Indoor dining and take out available. Don't forget to get a stamp card! Drink up!

The jasmine milk tea I sampled in the store first was a bit high in the milk to tea ratio, though I appreciated the chance to try this. The oolong tea flavor (can't recall if it was a citrus or passionfruit flavor) at the end was good--refreshing and light. The bubbles were a little on the sweeter side, with decent chewiness. I purchased a plum Americano first time and it was an innovative take on Asian flavors mixed with coffee. The fusion of traditional tart plum "soup" with coffee worked in an herbally way, kinda like a kombucha coffee. Based on this I think some of the other coffee items with citrus may be good to try here. The following comments are in the spirit of constructive feedback so I hope this will help you guys! I read online that the focus of the store is to provide fresh milk with their teas, specifically regular dairy milk. Though I think this is a stronger selling point probably in Asia, the interesting fact is that a fair number of people are lactose intolerant, (or will become so later in life). And with the trend away from cow's milk to more plant-based milks, I think it's a miss not to offer milk substitutes. The second point to work on is consistency in the menu, I'm not sure why the menu placed by the ordering counter contains a few different items than the menu on the screen on the wall, which is also slightly different from the menu shown in the digital kiosks (I didn't order from the kiosk but took a look at it). Maybe it's because this store is still tweaking the menu, though in this case it would be helpful to explain to customers. Yesterday I came by to redeem a coupon for a free drink, it was a generous offer and thanks for giving me another opportunity to try a drink! Choosing the Jasmine coconut tea with water chestnut bubbles, the flavor combo sounded interesting though didn't mesh that successfully in reality. The water chestnut bubbles provided a pop and little crunch which was unlike anything I've had before, with a light, almost imperceptible sweetness. Overall I felt the staff was kind--thanks for the rose with the drink and the panda takeaway bag during the initial boba crawl!
