Stumbled on M J's Donuts while grabbing coffee at Better Buzz. There was still a good variety of pastries available when I stopped by around 9 a.m. on a Thursday. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant ($5), a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant ($5), and a maple bar ($1.50), for a total of $11.50. They offer to warm up the croissants, which makes them perfect to enjoy right away--highly recommend! The gentleman at the counter even added a donut hole to each croissant bag. It appears to be a husband-and-wife team running the shop, and they mentioned they've been in business for 30 years! I later realized the maple bar wasn't included in my bag, but it's not a big deal--I'll just have to return and try a few more items next time. Few parking spots available right up front specific to donut shop customers only. Otherwise, there is ample parking in the shared lot.

So another early morning donut run, this time in Placentia. The donuts seem pretty fresh when I walked in and they had a decent amount for $1.50 each which was fairly cheap! I got the Coconut and Cinnamon donuts, which were good! Will be back for more donuts in the future!

This one in photo has decent chocolate but many times I've gotten ones that are scant on the chocolate part.

I'm leaving 1 star off because they used to always have the best marble donuts but lately the marble donuts have been very subpar. It used to be a white vanilla glaze with decent amount of chocolate frosting parts and was always soft and fresh but also light and somewhat hollow inside which made them fluffy and good. Now they are more heavy and taste a tad stale and more hard, and the white vanilla glaze is now barely there and is like a light regular glaze with a little less chocolate on it too, it's too dense and not fluffy or soft. It just seems less fresh and less flavorful than it used to be. I'm not sure what changed but it was better before.

Yummy donuts and friendly customer service! I had a craving for some apple fritters so decided to pop by MJ's Donuts in hopes of satisfying that craving. I ordered 3 apple fritters ($2 each) however, the lady behind the counter encouraged me to get a half dozen since they throw in a free extra donut for each half dozen order. I also ordered a dozen donut holes ($1.50) so I ended up with 3 apple fritters, 1 cake donut, 3 yeast donuts and a dozen donut holes for $10.50! Their prices are so reasonable, their customer service is great, and the donuts are fresh and delicious. The apple fritters were crispy on the outside with a soft doughy interior - just the way I like it! So glad to have a great local donut shop nearby. I will definitely be back when my next donut craving hits.

If you want a donut spot that you can just grab and go this is it! Not really any seating inside, but a few chairs outside. The woman that helped us was so generous, she gave us extra donuts and when my husband was curious about a flavor she gave it to us to try for free! The donuts and croissants were delicious!

Wanted to grab some donut holes along w donuts for my kids Saturday morning while heading out to run errands. Met Siv the nice owner along w his sweet wife Lina. Love this local mama papa shop indeed. I've come here a few times. It's conveniently located off Imperial Highway, so easy access for mee to grab some scrumptious donuts while otw out towards Brea. Located in same plaza as Carl's Jr. Literally right behind the restaurant and also same plaza as Paul's Kitchen & my waxing place, Nena's Waxing. Lots of parking right in the front or in the plaza. The owners are really social. Love how they were both out there serving their customers and engaging. Lina had a regular customer in there enjoying his coffee along w his donuts. There are a few tables inside to enjoy your sweet treats. The donut shop is a bit old fashion. Donuts are soft & good. Even a few days afterwards. Pricing is great. It's just a small donut shop with the usual regular donuts and sprinkle donuts. No big design or anything. Your Basic donuts needs that'll Satisfy you

Unsuspecting little mom and pop donut shop that serves delicious donuts! The owners are super kind and welcoming and I can see why regulars continue to come back! Best little donut shop in the area. Owner is so friendly and we love seeing her on the weekend. Donuts are delicious and you should definitely grab a ham and cheese breakfast croissant while you're there (they come in spicy jalapeño and regular). One of my coworkers kept telling me that if I buy food and I bring it to the office that I need to buy for everyone. So, I decided to give this place a try since it was very close to the office. It looks like a mom/pop shop, very small with a few small tables. They have a pretty good donut selection of all the standards. I ordered a dozen and the lady gave me an extra one, which was nice considering it was my first time there. It will be my go to place when I need some for the office. read more

Made an account just so I can give this place some love! Definitely my favourite donut shop that I've ever been to. Very friendly people running the place, and everything is delicious. I recommend the spicy ham & cheese croissant and some coffee. And you get donuts, they usually throw in a donut hole or two for free! Just a note, this place has a surcharge for credit and does not accept apple pay or american express, so pay cash if you can. read more

Maybe I was just hungry, but I think I just had one of the best donuts of my life! It's a small shop, and when I went in around 12:30, there was a nice selection of donuts. I ordered a crumb donut and a chocolate bar, and my total was $1.75. He even threw in a donut hole! All the donuts were super soft and moist and had a fluffy consistency. The crumb donut made a huge mess but I didn't care - it was delicious! I'll definitely be back, and I'll probably order a whole dozen. read more

Came at 1:30 pm to satisfy a craving. :) (Full disclosure, I came here after an awful experience at Dunkin'.) The donuts here at MJ were fluffy and delicious and still moist at 1:30. I don't eat donuts often but the couple times a year I come to MJ I have a wonderful experience. The owner Lina is friendly and funny and so kind. We had a great conversation today that really lifted my spirits. Since it was close to closing time she generously gave me several extra donuts! The prices are unbeatable, but given the quality they would still be a bargain at twice the price. I would encourage people to patronize this small business. The time and effort they invest in their work shows. Next time I have a craving for a donut I will not sacrifice quality and politeness for the convenience of a corporate drive thru. read more

I'm only going to repeat what everyone else has been stating in their reviews which is this. the donuts are delicious, maybe the best I've ever had, and the service is outstanding. As I'm leaving the establishment I thought the bag felt kind of heavy for just two donuts. To my surprise I see a large cinnamon roll added to what I purchased. The woman who served me also asked how I was doing in a sincere tone of voice and seemed genuinely concerned when I stated "okay I guess", as it hadn't been that great a day. If all of us were as kind and thoughtful as she was that day this world would be a much better place. read more

I love this place! I I'm a mom of 2 little ones and when we are craving some donuts this is the place where we order from through DoorDash. Driving to one of our favorite donut shop seems impossible especially when my little ones want the donuts 'right now' so I would buy a box of donuts from stater bros but the taste and texture is not the same, so I went through DoorDash and Mr. Js was the only donut shop as an option so I took my chances and I'm not disappointed. It's a bit more pricy through DoorDash but it saves me the hectic trip and the headaches and what I appreciate is that I leave instructions of certain donuts I know my kids love (chocolate) instead of random mix donuts and they always deliver. It's that special time and I am on the hunt for chocolate! I spy a sign for donuts and go in to case the joint. I peruse the fair at this cute Mom & Pop shop and see that they offer a nice variety of pastries. Among the specials is an offer for a 1/2 dozen donuts for $5 and I realize I can get one donut for everyone back at the agency and not have a bunch of leftovers. Unfortunately, my plan is thwarted by the proprietress as she gives me an extra donut and lots of free donut holes. After getting my chocolate fix, I make a vow that she won't foil my plan next time! This is the BEST Donut shop in the area. The couple who run the place have the best quality donuts and great selection. Both are very friendly and the wife is great at remembering what preferences you have in the way of donut selection. She is usually ready with your choices before you even say it. Very friendly and helpful mom and pop shop. The donuts were fresh as always. I highly recommend this shop if you are in the area. Better than Krispy Kreme in my opinion because they taste hand-made unlike KK, which is made by a machine. MJ's prices are very reasonable. read more

They all had a beautiful presentation and looked delicious, but I managed to narrow it down to a chocolate cronut and a maple bacon raised donut. The cronut was generously dipped in a deliciously decadent chocolate and was very good. The maple bacon donut base was light and fluffy, but the bacon would have complemented the flavor profile better if the grease were patted down before it was sprinkled on top. You can see from the photo that it's still quite shiny (greasy). They do have breakfast sandwiches as well as grab and go meals and snacks if you're looking for something a bit more filling or healthier than donuts. This visit was definitely better than my first one, so I'll keep Station Donuts in mind next time I'm at n the mood for a donut.

This is completely unacceptable for a customer service establishment. The young man working at the cashier treated me differently because of my skin color. That kind of discriminatory behavior is absolutely unacceptable and very disturbing.

Now as an adult I still stop here when in town just to taste the sweet memories. That is exactly what my wife and I did last week. I picked out a Apple Fritter that I ate so fast, I never even got a picture lol. As always there was apples in every bite. I also had to get a cinnamon roll because they are the best. The cinnamon rolls here are coated with a good amount of glaze but it isn't overly sweet so it is good. They don't skimp on the cinnamon either. My wife had a Bear Claw (her fav here) and could only eat half so I had to do my duty and finish it. The thing melts in your hand when you even pick it up. The bear claw looks big and heavy but it is light, soft, and just plain good. The apples inside are just a bonus. Prices range from .80 cents, .85 cents, .95 cents, and $1.25 for donuts. You make your purchase at the window (no inside entry) and they clearly display all the fresh donuts they have at the moment in the window. There is some seating outside if you are lucky enough to grab a spot from one of the regulars but I have eaten most of my fair share right in my own car in the parking lot.

What a great donut shop. Small family owned and very friendly. I came here with my kids the other morning and the lady behind the counter was super friendly. She gave my kids some extra donut holes and they loved it. Great standard selection of donuts to chose from. I like their donuts because you don't taste the old oil they were fried in. And the service seems to be pretty amazing as I wrote down the types of donuts I would like and not like so when I got the box, it was pretty spot on. They all had a beautiful presentation and looked delicious, but I managed to narrow it down to a chocolate cronut and a maple bacon raised donut. The cronut was generously dipped in a deliciously decadent chocolate and was very good. The maple bacon donut base was light and fluffy, but the bacon would have complemented the flavor profile better if the grease were patted down before it was sprinkled on top. You can see from the photo that it's still quite shiny (greasy). They do have breakfast sandwiches as well as grab and go meals and snacks if you're looking for something a bit more filling or healthier than donuts. This visit was definitely better than my first one, so I'll keep Station Donuts in mind next time I'm at n the mood for a donut.
